El Pollo Loco in Modesto

Got a burrito,didnt have much chicken ,lots of lettuce and cabbage. Got chips and salsa. Chips not fresh tomatoes looked smashed not chopped. Ill try one more time. Riverbanks store hella good. Tho.

food is super delicious, I really enjoy coming to this specific location , staff is always nice and helpful.

Good meal of freshly grilled chicken and sides. A little bit pricey but to me it beats out the competition across the street (KFC).

Went into restaurant drive in was 1 mile long. Ordered double chicken avacado salad and a double chicken nachos. Didnt get my nachos ended up with a plain chicken salad. The register was out of paper so she said she couldnt give me a receipt duh! Are they not trained to load the paper? I believe I was over charged but without receipt I couldnt prove it. Not the 1st time order is wrong. Should have checked before leaving.

For the longest time I didnt like El Pollo Loco this year I started really liking them their chickens really good but I did have one bad experience. there was a hair in the bottom of the churro bag now that was disgusting for me. The churros are always rock hard no more churros for me.

I love El Pollo Loco! For some reason this location’s food just isn’t tasty and they ALWAYS skimp out on ingredients. Like 5 beans and a dozen rice grains. For a double chicken tostada, not much chicken or small burnt pieces. When I’m in town I crave it but disappointed every time I come to this location.

Good enough, that if you havent tried it your missing out. I love everything I have tried.

The bean rice and cheese burrito was very good and I ordered a side of chips and guacamole and the guacamole was great but the chips were overcooked and hard. Quite disappointing.

I love their chicken. Hadnt been in for about 6 months but today I hust bought I chicken, bean burrito and the chicken was way overcooked. But what really disappointed me was the guacamole sauce. It was awful. Watered down green sauce is all it was. Did not resemble guacamole sauce. For a moment I thought I was in New York City.Awful. Whats going on Pollo Loco are trying to cut corners?

The chicken was dry as jerky cold and old! It used to be good, not now!!!!

Went thru drive thru and got the chicken tostada after eating a couple bites seen a long black hair in it I’m blonde. Very disgusting!!!

So 5 stars cause food is always good. The drive through experience was very impersonal. They left an item off our order...the chips in our combo meal....the young lady at drive through was hard to understand and when asked to repeat herself she didnt. They didnt give me total till at the window either. Again food always quick hot and healthier than most fastfood chains.......so definitely get what you pay for. Coustomer service well I guess we dont pay for that and it does make a difference though.

The cashiers here are super sweet and really helpful with any of the questions I had. The food was really good as well, I really enjoy coming to this pollo loco and I havent had any issues at all.

Clean, friendly and always tasty. Their combo meals for 5 bucks is unbelievable. alot of food + soda is a steal. fresh flavor and tender chicken that will fill you up.

The tacos I ordered were not what I asked for, because they had salsa on them. I specifically asked for no salsa, because my husband is allergic to them.

I went today for lunch and had very good time. My food was given to me quick and it was splendid, the manager was very attentive with me and people around her. Thanks for the service😊.

Food was decent. A little high priced for what you get. They messed up on our order missing one item then when we got the order fixed they forgot chips with the combo. They didnt seem like they really cared about anybody being there. Staff seemed a little bit frazzled and untrained. So they get two stars for decent food and clean restaurant but lost three stars for service attitude and consistency

I normally go for the double chicken salad. Saw that there was new salads so Decided to try them which was the cheesy quesadilla salad it was delicious especially with the creamy cilantro dressing 10/10 recommended the salad.

The $5 Fire-Grilled chicken tacos al carbon meal is a super great tasting value! 3 tacos, a side of chips and a medium drink really fill you up. And the green salsa w/avocado is a great topper thats not too spicy. Just right for lunchtime!

There always rushing so the forget stuff and put together your food with no care. The salads are all lettuce and a pinch of chicken. 2 PC is a small leg quarter, no meat. The only care about getting the food out fast with no care.

Stopped going here about 3 months ago because of the rude young hispanic girl at the drive thru window. She refused to give us chips and salsa with our meal. I offered to pay extra for it ( even though its suppose to come with our meand she gives me a dirty look and throws a bag of chips in our bag ( no salsaVery rude and weird! Girllll.... let me get them chips and salsa..whats the problem?! Lost a regular!

In the drive thru for 15 minutes. Ordered the Chicken Avocado Burrito. Way to spicy. So much spice it killed any other flavoring of the Burrito. Could not taste the Avocado it was so spicy.Docked for the long wait and the food. 2.89 for a soda is overpriced.

I used to love El Pollo Loco. I always get their original pollo bowl, but it was hard to find on the menu screen. They have expanded their menu items exponentially! Some people may like their new options, but the party I was with were not satisfied with their meals. They seemed to be envious of my simple chicken bowl & tortillas. The only complaint I have about my food was the chicken was very, very dry. It was probably sitting under a warming lamp way to long. I added 4 more salsa cups to add moisture, but it was so dry I had a hard time eating it. I had to pick most of it out. Thankfully the rest of the bowl was satisfying.I kinda wished El Pollo Loco would go back to their simple menu of family dinners and chicken bowls. Focus on what they do best and leave the rest. Still love me some EPL, and very happy to see the cost of the original bowl stay at $5. I still recommend EPL to my friends, but tell them to keep it simple, always go for the Original Pollo Bowl!👍

Very UNORGANIZED!Have ordered from them at least 4-5 times and EVERY TIME they get something wrong!I would contact them - they would apologize, give me a new order and still get any adjustments wrong!Couldn’t figure out why they get it wrong all the time, until I went inside to pick up my order and saw how unorganized and chaotic they were (it was not rush hr)….The FOOD IS AMAZING…. BUT their customer service SUCKS!!!Please reconsider your employees or provide a better training for them (for managers as well)

Food is good as always but me and the rest of those who did order pickup were completely ignored at the counter. I had to look through each bag myself to find my order rather than them speaking out names. Also, another customer had trouble getting someones attention and had to ask 3 times just to get chips. They made no eye contact with us, they just looked down the entire time ignoring us. I come to this location all the time and this is how customers get treated. One more thing, the survey validation code is not even printed on the receipt so there is no way for customers to send in reviews for this specific location, felt like it was done on purpose! Please get better service!

Had food poisoning from their salsa a few months ago. Remember to cycle the salss putting the freshest at the back. It was the worst most painful day ever. Both my wife and I were on the couch in agony for a whole day.

Completely inedible meal. They forgot my side salad, forgot my chips. Went back for those after I got home and realized, only for chips to be so stale I couldnt chew them. Chicken bowl full of water at bottom from watery but hard beans with about 1 tablespoon of rice. Avocado was not ripe, too hard to eat. Churro had literally no cinnamon and sugar?! Im not a picky person but feeling like I definitely wasted money here.

I come here at night after work sometimes. The food is good and the employees are nice.

I went there with my sister. As we entered the floor was sticky. We placed our order and we sat to eat. We had to eat fast, because it was too hot. It was ridiculously hot and stuffy. My sister wanted to order something else, but we left due to the heat. My sister mentioned it to the employees. Also, the sticky wet floor smell like urine. I know they used dirty mop water or what else would cause the sticky smelly floor. Please do something about the items listed above or your business may suffer.

My partner and I absolutely love El pollo loco highly recommended their cheap $5 chicken burrito combo. If youve got a big family their family meals are also a fantastic buy.

Chicken and hot sides are always really hot like they should be. .. delicious too. I always ask for senior discount when I pay, and they are happy to give it. Ive never had a problem that wasnt solved above and beyond my wishes. You can get some great coupons in your mail too.This place offers great food and service in clean comfortable surroundings. Yum!

Everytime you ask for "no onion. No rice." Or any adjustment it never happens when they make your food. Or its only partially done. The order taker put easy rice instead, and the food preparer made the bowl mainly rice!? Every time.

I have not had anything here that makes me want to come back, but my family likes the Grande Avocado Chicken Bowl, so we go every so often. During my most recent visit, I had a chicken burrito with 3 bones in it, reminding me of why I am not a fan of this chain. The green salsa for my chips had great flavor, and there were no bones in that.

Love the new pollo fit bowl served with savory cauliflower rice, yum! One of the only places I know where you can sub for meatless option without up charge. I also like that they use a variety of lettuces for salad and give you a creamy cilantro dressing or vinaigrette option. You have to remember to ask for any additional salsas thou otherwise you get none, one, or have to drive back. I did download their app and seem to provide a great selection of coupons, a free chips and guac, and a nice rewards system. I can always count on Pollo Loco for fit options, as long as I skip the chips and dips.

I hadnt been to El Pollo in years! We recently visited and were very happy that everything we ordered was hot, excellently flavored, and very well packaged for our half hour trip home! The large portions gave us not only a wonderdul dinner but plenty of leftovers for the next day! Our pet cats and dog also enjoyed special treats! We all give hands and paws up kudos!!

When the call went out my best friend signed up. The pamphlet said they needed the best and she was. I did try to warn her but you know how that is. They offered others like her and to be a part of something bigger and all I offered in return is doom and gloom. She signed up and I havent heard from her since. After not hearing from her for a while I began to get suspicious and after no communication from my friend for this long I decided to investigate the underbelly of this organization. I drove up to the window."Welcome to El Pollo Loco. Can I take your order?" I sat at the menu board in stunned silence."Take your time and order when youre ready," they said after a moment.I wrenched myself back into the moment and tried not to blow my my cover. I ordered, "Ill have a Chipotle Chicken Avacado Burrito please.""Can I get you anything else?""Um... no," my voice only quavering slightly from grief."Thatll be $10.24 at the window please."I pulled forward and to be absolutely sure I asked while paying, "Can you tell me exactly whats in this burrito?""We use only the best chicken," he said handing back my card. My worst fears confirmed, I burst into tears as I drove away.Sitting at home I debated fiercely in my head what to do. In the end I couldnt let her sacrifice go to waste. It was delicious. She really was the best.

The last time I visited to El Pollo Loco was abysmal. (See my review El Polo Loco on Countryside Dr Turlock)Tonight was redemption.There street tacos were delicious and the service was excellent.We used a coupon to try their new street tacos plate. Two tacos with rice and beans. We got the Elote Taco and the Avocado taco. They were bomb! The rice and beans were a tasty side dish, after we doctored them with cilantro, lime, and salsa.Originally the rice was a skimpy amount (See pictureand as I was finishing at the salsa bar the young lady at the counter gave me an additional cup of rice. She identified the short coming and took the initiative to correct it. Great Job!There were several employees on shift (11the facilities were as clean as to be expected.Negative:There was a dried piece of chicken under out table that appeared to have been there for some time though.

Great $5.00 pollo bowl it comes with beans and rice and you can get flour or corn tortillas plus a drink of your choice. My favorite thing to get because it always fresh.
