Not necessarily gross but not good. The best thing was the green salsa. Otherwise the steak tacos were salty and dry , rice and beans were edible but not tasty or fresh.

Can never go wrong with Picosito! Nice little hidden restaurant.

If I could rate this zero stars I would. This is by far the most disgusting Mexican food I’ve ever eaten in my life. I’m genuinely shocked to see so many good reviews. My food did not live up to any of them. The Chile relleno was garbage. It was so soggy there was a pool of liquid at the bottom and upon cutting it the eggs squeezed out even more liquid. It was extremely bland except for the sour marinara sauce on top. The salad dressing tasted like what I can only imagine lotion tasting like. Rice was the only thing edible but was still bland. The lengua burrito was foul. Soaked in grease the moment you touched the foil it was wrapped in, tortilla was discolored because of the grease. The meat was extremely salty and dry.

5 stars for the quality of the food.And 5 stars for the young lady that had to deal with a horrible customer screaming at her over how many salsas he was given... she kept her composure and did her best to accommodate him.

Delicious Food, Friendly Staff, Quick Service!All of that and really close to home! Definitely a good daily spot if you live in Duarte.

Cute little spot, food was tasty and made in a timely manner. Had a lot of options including breakfast plates, staff was friendly.

I don’t want to give any star, but one star for the only man there, he is very friendly and gave nice services. When we finished ordering, there was no table so I asked one of the women there whether they had any place for waiting. The restaurant is a little bit small, I even don’t know where to stand. But She replied that she couldn’t kick out anyone there. I said “Yes, I know. I just said where can I wait?” She said if u want, u can stand near the front door and wait. Then, in the food, there is a string, I am sure it’s a hair. I was going to show it to the man who’s doing the reception, but there was customer in front of me, so I showed it to the girl who was cleaning. She took it as soon as she saw it without saying any words. Her attitude was like I was cheating and I was treated in a bad way. There’s no point that I put it by myself since the hair was stuck inside the burrito, and it’s so long that can’t even pull it out. I should take the photo though. The guy from the counter usually came and asked to every table that what was needed. I told the incident earlier and he apologized even though he didn’t see what happened exactly. I do appreciate for his service but I was very unsatisfied with everything in the restaurant. Never go again.

Oh my what a great little spot. Very friendly people and such good food. Shrimp taco, chicken taco, carnitas taco, no sauce. I cant wait to come back

Very disappointed overall. The chorizo and eggs were dry and overcooked and the rice was also dry. The chorizo and eggs looked like they were leftovers from a previous day and would really not recommend breakfast here to anybody. For the quality of the dish, half price would be fair.

Food is pretty good. Staff could be more friendly. It is CASH ONLY so heads up. (ATM in the restaurant.Worth a try.

Been here once tried their gorditas pretty tasty I just wish they accepted debit card its a cash only spot so bring it along dont leave home without it

They did mess up the takeout order, but the tacos are delicious. Order the lengua with all the fixings!

The food okay but the price its so high the owner think they located in Beverly Hills area but they dream because the quality its not really good

Food was good and a reasonable price, service was fast also, staff is really nice and helpful, restrooms available for customers, CASH ONLY, they have an ATM machine inside, plenty of free parking

Sometimes theres a small wiait for pick up orders but food is always fresh! Amicable staff.

The Beans save the day. I was disappointed with the chorizo and eggs breakfast. They were dry, not made to order it seemed. The rice was dry aswell. The beans were phenomenal tho.

Funny, been here twice in the last 10 days or so and my opinion of this place went from just good enough to really really good, so looking forward to my next trip :). We tried this place because it’s one of the few fast casual dining places that are open after 8pm when we finish work outs. First trip I tried the steak picado burrito and a hard shell beef taco. Thought the taco was very good, but burrito just mediocre. Chips and green salsa very good, but red not so much. Anyway, I guess it was good enough, because we came back. I tried a few different tacos and enjoyed each one (beef hard, asada, carnitas, al pastor and lengua). My buddy tried the shrimp burrito which was also delicious. I also ordered a milanesa torta to go for my GF and she thought it was pretty good as well. Even the red salsa that I didn’t like the week before tasted better. Not sure what changed, but it’s enough to keep me going back. I hope the first trip was just a fluke, but time will tell.

Amazing food. Great prices. Super friendly staff. Went on a date with my wife here and had the Ensenada burrito. Really flavorful and filling.

Food is good. Service is fair. Unfortunately its cash only and I rarely carry cash. However, they have an ATM in there.

I got a tostada de camaron and the super burrito, I dont know how picky you can be, in the pics you can see they didnt chop in squares the onion or tomatoes, flavor was good and so was the pillow sized burrito, their Red salsa is really good, they put lettuce in Burrito of you like that...

I ate there before pandemic quality was excellent amenities not so good since no Salsa bar most everything is a dollar more they sacrificed quality of food not the same as before rather bland

I am a very picky person when it comes to Mexican food. Although I’m open mind and like to try and hopefully I’ll get lucky.Well, I’m glad I did.Sopes and gordita were very tasty. DELICIOUS!!!!!…😋😋😋😋I’ll definitely coming back for more.One downside though.They only take cash and sincerely I never carry cash on me, so don’t forget to bring cash when you come to this place.

Ive called several times there is no manager or owner there on a daily basis just somebody in charge I ordered outside the restaurant and waited 20 minutes in front of the door I finally got mad and said wheres my food and they said they didnt know I was outside when I phoned in the order and told him I was parked outside I could not find a manager in both locations and they said it was my fault I might as well just gone in there and ordered it myself but with covet I was being careful and ordering through the phone and letting outside it must be a language barrier I am Hispanic but their English is not as good you havent said three words the one in Covina is a lot better service and food thats my experience

Me and my husband always said we are going to try this place out. I have to say, they did not disappoint. The service and food was great. The second time I went I ordered enchiladas with mole. It was great,not to sweet. I can honestly recommend this place. Enjoy 😊

I had never ordered here. Today was my first and last time! My pregnancy cravings were craving a shrimp cocktail and my appetite got spoiled once I saw my shrimp had feces in them!! I do not recommend shrimp cocktails to anyone here!! El Picosito, please please clean your shrimp!! This does NOT give a good reputation towards your restaurant! Disguisting!

They have a salsa (hot saucesimilar taste to king tacos. I tried the Campechana (mixed sea food cocktailit was very well prepared. Reasonable prices. Small but very nice and clean place.

Dishes I tried were great sopes, enchiladas and horchata were great the salsa is also good kinda generic though. My only complaint is that they Dont Accept Card so you either gotta have cash or use theyre atm and get out of line for which is annoying.

They give good portions on there seafood. Try the ceviche tostadas. I ordered just one and the ceviche is served in a bowl with the 3 tostada shells on the side. It was almost like 3 tostadas. The tacos are a lil on the small side but so is the price. So win win there. This was my first time going here but definately wont be my last. Food was very good.

From a homegrown mexican like me.. this place has the most delicious green salsa chilaquiles! Picositos ricos! Salud!

Excellent food and a very well run establishment. Even if theres a line at the counter, theyre extremely efficient at moving people through and getting them great tasting meals. Good for larger groups (up to about 10-12or individual dining. Note that the restaurant is Cash Only however they do have an ATM available on site.

Ate here for the first time tonight. I got the machacas and my husband got the Chili Verde plate. It came to $20 for the both of us. Serving size was adequate and taste was pretty good. Loved the salsa they gave us with the chips. Reminded us of King taco buy not as spicy. It is CASH ONLY. We will be back to try something else. The interior was nice and a good amount of seating and they close at 10pm which is nice because we are late eaters.

Waited almost 5 minutes to have my order taken at the counter. It was 5:30 p.m. and the place was virtually empty with no one in line in front of me, but I could see 2 of the employees in the kitchen, one of them appearing to be looking at their cell phone. After finally placing my order, one of the individuals who had been eating in a booth got up and went into the kitchen. He had obviously seen me at the counter waiting but didnt feel it was important enough to get up and to tell someone to take my order. The food was pretty good.

Good reasonable pricing close by Walmart so no need for McDonald more free tortilla would be good, 3 for a big fajita plate does not cut it. Be careful with mild as it is HOT :-tables outside should be cleaner and more lighting inside would have be more inviting. Also, it was hot inside and ONLY cash :-(

Very good food for the prices. Ive had tee tacos, burritos, sopes, mariscos, caldos and more! All are very authentic and tasty and the staff is friendly. Be aware CASH only but they do have an atm machine on site. This is my familys Mexican go to / fast food spot! A hidden gem. Wish I had pics to share but you just gotta trust me and try it out. Cant beat the quality and prices.

Their food is really good and their green salsa is amazing! 🤤 Ive tried a good amount of their menu because I work close by and I have not been disappointed thus far. One down side is that its a cash only place they do provide an ATM though.

Best Mexican spot in this area. The staff was friendly. Salsa bar was fresh. Prices were good. And of course the food was tasty. I really enjoyed their mole taquitos and the seafood burrito I got was stuffed with fish and shrimp. Wish I lived a little closer to visit this spot more often. Looking forward to going back.

Food is salty got wet burrito so dont get the red one. I asked for a side of sour cream got charged $ 1.64 for this very small side the i was like wow 1.64 and was told by the cashier well may be you should ask prices be for you order stuff rude.

Weve been coming here since grand opening. Love the staff, environment and ESPECIALLY the food. Nearby Target, Walmart and Best Buy for all your shopping needs, including a Game Stop next door.Love our Mexican food. This place is one of our favorites!
