El Patio Mexican Grill - Grill in Bristol, United States
I absolutely love to eat here! I got so excited when my food came I forgot to take pictures ( 3rd time I’ve done thatwe drive for more than 30 minutes to go to this place. This restaurant is clean, nice and quick. Everything we have ordered has been delicious! Tacos, taco salad, chimichangas it’s all very good! I love that they combine the bean dip with the cheese dip. Perfect.
Good food! Careful of what you order & pricing!
Great food at great prices but the service could be better.
It was a wonderful dining experience. I would recommend it to everyone.
They literally got my food wrong and I had to sit there for 10 minutes in order to get my food correct upon getting back I noticed my chips was sitting in a pool of water in the bag the bottom of the chips bag was soaked with water the portion size I ordered was not the right size they just put it in a bigger bowl to make me think I got what I ordered but I did not. Im really disappointed!!
Asked for salsa verde only got what tastes like blended tomatoes ordered a burrito and they served it upside down wont be back
Not honoring Battle Green Cards. Boooooo. Gotta support the locals!
Delish and well priced...so much on menu.
Best Mexican food Ive had in a long time.. great staff too
This was this worst meal Ive ever had. Beef enchiladas were unflavored ground beef wrapped in a stale tortilla with a little sauce...no onion., no cheese, nothing. The taco salad was a SOGGY ground beef mixture...again no flavoring; disgustig mix. No lettuce, no nothing. The chips were good. If you are looking for authentic Mexican food find another restaurant.
The food was great and the service was too!
This is my favorite Mexican style restaurant that Ive been to and thats a lot of them. Super friendly, really good food, take out is awesome, and the prices are very fair. Great quality and taste.
Excellent food, nice helpful staff. We had a pretty large group for a birthday lunch and they handled it perfectly. (About 15 people)
A great hideaway you have to really look to find it hidden in the shopping center excellent food 😉
Food was amazing!!! The service was perfect! Havent been in a while, it will be the only place we hit for Mexican.
The tamales were very good. The service was great.
The service here is wonderful. Our waitress and the host were very attentive, which reflects in the rating. The food was just okay. Carne Asada a bit overdone, rice n beans lacked much flavor. The flan was tasty though. Prices were reasonable. I grew up in Miami, so maybe my expectations run high living in a cultural melting pot. They did provide a decent serving of avocado on the side (which never happens anywhere).I know it sounds persnickety (and I’m of South American decent and not Mexican so I’m not trying to be judgy or sound rudebut I really feel like this place could be amazing with some fine tuning!
The chips tasted like 2 week old grease food sucked called they offered me more chips I had paid for um no thanks that was nasty 🤮never again
Delicious food. Great service. Would give extra tortillas and tortilla chips. Big portions and plenty to go. Tried the chimichanga and it was everything I couldve asked for. A nice change from the typical generic chains that make you say, "it would be better if I made that at home". If you regularly eat Mexican food or you are trying it for the first time its great either way.
They have really, really good food. And I love the salsa bar, especially the white salsa! The people are pleasant, and you get quick service. The only downside is the background music is usually too loud.
This was an okay place, We asked for hot sauce a million times, kept getting salsa in return. Finally got hot sauce at the end when done with our food. I even spoke in Spanish thinking that would be easier, nope. Lol. Im not one to laugh or even find it funny, but it was pretty comical after receiving over 8 bowls of salsa, all mild and definitely not hot sauce 🤣
Got take out. Was delicious but meats in fajitas was overcooked. We love this place and hope it was a n unusual situation. But kitchen staff needs to know. Spent 45 dollars. Im giving 3 stars just coz we usually love it.
Best Mexican food I’ve had since moving to the area!!! I will definitely be back.
This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in the tri-cities. By far the best quality and quantity for the price, and the salsa bar is unbeatable! You have to try the mango salsa. I have celiac disease, which makes it hard for me to eat out, but their soft corn tortillas give me a lot of options (they are not labelled specifically gluten free, however). I see several reviewers had issues with the wait time, which is not something Ive ever experienced. I think the longest Ive ever had to wait was 5-10 minutes when they were understaffed, and once we were seated service was very quick.
Disapointed, we ordered two minutes past 3:00 walked up from parking way off pulling our 5th wheel and denied the lunch special because of two minutes.
So far, the best Mexican Food Restaurant in Bristol. The staff is friendly and attentive. The salsa bar is a plus. Our food has always been great.
Our server kept forgetting about us. The Patio Fajitas for 2 were great...lots of shrimp! We will have the rest of the fajitas tomorrow!
Would you like some tacos with your meat? I was looking for street tacos and this is what I got. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing 🤷♀️
Nice place and great service. Ordered the chori pollo and it was really good, just enough heat to slow you down. The Patron Cucumber Margarita was awesome not sure how Im going to get another since I am only visiting the area.
Unbelievable amount of delicious food. $13.99 for the "special dinner" and my husband and myself shared and still had food left for later.
Best place in Bristol to get authentic Mexican food. Chicken fajitas are amazing and the Fajita Nachos are also great. Husband always gets fajitas with chorizo. We love the queso and bean dip. Friendly atmosphere and people.
Fresh, real, authentic food! Theres several delicious vegetarian options which is why I was interested. After trying them all, I can confidently say that they are all excellent! They have the most beautiful decor inside, a lit up patio area to sit outside, a well stocked bar with great options for drink, and above all the staff is like a family of very inviting friends! I can not and will not say anything bad about this restaurant. 10 out of 10!!!
Everything was delicious!! They serve chips with bean dip when you sit down. We didnt see salsa on the menu but they do have delicious pico de Gallo and Mexican guacamole. We had the patio fajitas, special dinner and shrimp chimichanga & chicken chimichanga, the kids had chicken fingers w/French fries and chicken w/rice and cheese sauce. We sat outside on their nice decently private patio. Our server was very nice and made sure we had everything we needed. Margaritas were delicious and the kids plates were bigger than expected. We would definitely return.
The service took a while to get to us and not many tables at all were seated and I was actually tempted to leave as my patience aint the best.... But great we didnt!!! This place was right on point in every way, kids loved their chicken tenders and fries, the margaritas were strong and tasted great with a great price tag.... The guac was fresh!!! The shrimp and cucumber soup is very hot but one of the best soups Ive ever had, without a doubt
Great Mexican food in Bristol. Great location. They have a nice patio out front. I had the Carne Asada tacos and they were delicious. The bean dip with the chips was amazing. The service was very good! Our server was very knowledgeable about all the different drink and menu selections as well as the happenings around town. This is a great place.
Huge portions. Delicious and authentic Mexican food. Attentive and polite waitstaff. Great experience all around. The only thing I dont recommend are the flour tortillas.
The food here is still the best around, but the service has gotten bad to the point that the food cant make up for it. For example, today I had to hunt down my own silverware, I didnt get a straw with my drink, my order was wrong (even after speaking slow and pointing to the menu and the server speaking it back to me. Even then, I got something totally different from what I actually ordered), and to top it all off, I had to hunt down a leftovers box myself. While this is the first time my order has been wrong, its about the 5th time Ive had do everything else, which is how I knew where the silverware, straws, and leftovers boxes were. The only explanation I can think of for the severe degradation of service is that there must be new management. Because the old manager had the place running like a Swiss watch and I havent seen him since 2019.
Fantastic! Authentic and delicious! Good portions and friendly fast service.
Food was really good. Fresh and authentic Spanish food in the middle of Bristol VA/TN. Service was good too. 👍🏽
I ate here for the first time this past weekend and will not be going back. I got the shrimp quesadilla and it was so gross. It was watery and the shrimp was almost mushy? and tasted very fishy. The rice was bland and I guarantee the beans are from a can. They were a weird orange color and did not taste homemade. My husband and daughters food was very bland and not good. None of us ate enough to get full. The only good thing was the chips and salsa. I only ate a couple bites of my meal. It was $51 for me, my daughter, and my husband to eat here. I was so aggravated. Such a waste of money. We always go to the Mexican place in castlewood and that one is the best around and about $20 cheaper. Should have just went there. I wish I could give it zero stars.
Their food is ALWAYS fast and fresh. Ive only ever had 1 issue but that was with a to-go order and it was partially my fault for ordering the wrong item. The food is ALWAYS super tasty and we will ALWAYS stop there when were in town! WE LOVE YOU EL PATIO!!!!
Fresh, authentic Mexican food served with a smile. The chips and salsa are excellent and be sure to try the fajitas!
Ive been eating here for 5+ years. Salsa bar with variety. Grilled chicken soft tacos are my favorite.Raymond is the face of this place. Whens hes not here, everyone seems sad and confused...Today wasnt my best visit. Was sat at a table that wasnt completely clean and food all over the floor. Also no silverware or napkins. Had to get up and get them myself. Also my biggest pet peeve at a Mexican restaurant is getting lemon in my water when I clearly stated multiple times NO Lemon. Its Wednesday 12:30 and its empty in here. All in all, its decent bang for the buck.
In not normally a fan of Mexican But my wife wanted to eat there. If u could have given it 6 stars I would. Huge proportions and extremely reasonable. They have a fresh salsa bar and out meals were so freshAmazing.
Best Mexican place in Bristol hands down. My kids always clean their plate here.
Found this place on a whim. The ratings were high so thought we would try it. We were seated in a timely manner. The prices were very high. Our waitress brought our water and then took forever to come take our order. We waited a long time for our food. The waitress never came to refill the chips while we were waiting. Some other man brought us our food finally. Our waters were empty and the waitress never came back to check on us. She finally refilled the water after we finished eating and when she brought the check.. The food itself was good although pricey, however the 3 stars are for the service and the high prices.
Hands down the best Mexican restaurant in the tri-cities. We have been eating here for years quite often and by far the best food, fast service and amazing staff. Raymond is always very welcoming and friendly making us feel at home every time we come in as well as always being very professionally dressed. All the staff are super friendly and the food is absolutely delicious, fast and fresh. I promise you won’t be disappointed. Highly recommend!!
Many years ago when El Patio first opened, I wasnt very impressed. However, in recent years they have seriously stepped up their game and the food quality has so improved that this has become my favorite Mexican restaurant. The meals are well prepared, everything is fresh and hot, well seasoned, and the wait staff is always pleasant and friendly. They still bring all the nachos you can eat, but you now have to go to the salsa bar for your salsa, but thats okay because the salsa selection is amazing. They have several varieties ranging from mild to hot - but not burn your tongue off hot. Five stars, cant wait to go back.
My family eats here often! This is my go to! Love the grilled chicken quesadilla, fajitas, and chicken fajitas nachos. Really anything with that cheese dip.
This is absolutely the best Mexican restaurant around. The prices are decent and the portion sizes are monstrous. I usually always get the fajitas; they are delicious! Im only giving four stars, because the service isnt consistently the greatest. The last few times weve gone, the waitress acts like it would kill her to smile or show an ounce of friendliness.
