El Patio - Honduran restaurant in Tegucigalpa, Honduras
Very popular with locals, usually crowded. Be ready to wait for quite some time for your meal to arrive. Only drinks and appetizers will come quickly to your table. The menu is quite big, lots of local dishes, mainly with meat. Be aware of charred vegetables/meat, as you might notice a funny and unpleasant plastic smell/taste, likely to be of how they ignite the charcoal fire.
Flies and mosquitoes, service wasnt bad. The food was bad, burnt oil porkchops, pinchos were flavorless and burnt, the food felt cheap like if I couldve have gone to a much better place for the same price. You guys need to step it up.
As always, a great place to go! The meat was amazing 😍 and nice environment!
Great prices and the amount of food they serve is huge. If you really want to eat a lot this is the place.
If you are looking for authentic Honduran food then this is the place to go
A lot of food for the price. They have plenty of seating and it is an open area. They have fans, but no AC, so plan accordingly in a hot day.
Have eaten here several times, good good and a lot of it... I mean a lot... Pace yourself. If you like Honduran cuisine this is a great place to experience all of it.... The band is annoying sometimes, they play really loud and its hard to talk to people in your group, Especially if theyre not sitting beside you at the table.
Food is amazing. But I’d recommend takeout.
Best meat in town
Food was “good”. Meat was tough. Prices were higher than other places- you’re paying for the experience too. Service was a bit slow, despite not being crowded. Music was WAY TOO LOUD. We could not hear our conversations well. The combo for 6 was enough to feed 8. Still a good recommendation for a family outing.
I love the experience the food was delicious the service was really good Im definitely coming back next time Im in Honduras
Delicious, wholesome food in generous quantities, kind, attentive staff, and positive upbeat vibe. Spacious place where you can have a conversation without yelling, even when it’s full of people and the cooling fans are on full blast.
Our group of six ordered the special for six people and it was terrific. Eight people could have easily filled up on that amount of food. They were generous with the portions! The bowels with melted cheese was novel and something to remember. The server was great. Come and experience Honduras.
Restaurante El Patio is the best place to eat Honduran food!Simply the best!
Very fun and festive place. Its kind of the place to go for a Honduran experience. Food is very well done and portions are huge.It is very noisy and, even in the private party room, the acoustics are challenging. However, its worth the fun for special events.
Really good food and lots and lots of food you cant finish your plates
This is a Mexican food Restaurant but I was actually surprised about the amount of food they give you, we all had enough to take home for the next day. They also have Mariachi, plenty of parking and they are located off Blvd Morazán which is one of the top Blvds in Tegucigalpa for food and drinks. The prices were fair for the amount of food they give you. The only detriment (I foundis that the place is big and loud (between the music and people conversingand because it was full you had to raise your voice a lot be heard by the other person, it feels as if you were in a club, which for some people is fine but if you are looking for a quiet place this may not be it, on the other hand if you are looking for a lively place you will feel right at home.

It depends on what you are looking for. But I have to say the lack of attention to detail has become quite unacceptable. The menus are old and derelict and the restaurant itself has no ambience whatsoever. I will say, the food retains its good quality and taste, however the pricing is quite high for the experience as a whole. I genuinely cant recommend the restaurant as there are better options. They need to seriously revamp and give substance to the experience. If you do choose to go, I recommend the grilled chicken. Its fantastic.
Great if you want a slice of local Honduran flavors. Food was authentic Honduran and the live local music was an added bonus. This place is great if you want to try the local food. Combo plates are good for groups of 4 or more.
Good típico food. Huge portions. Good flavor
Great place to enjoy Honduran staples! Bring a group and enjoy the great atmosphere and delicious food!
The chips they served were old, cheese balls were just reheated, not freshly made. Chuletas were fatty and with a lot of bones in it. The music was loud, unable to have conversation at the table. The meat was very hard. Waitress never came back to check on us. Definitely not coming back!
Great restaurant. Service and food the best!
Exquisite food and service. And because of this, "Ill be Back".
If you visit Tegucigalpa and you dont go to El Patio, have you actually been there at all? Incredible food, lots of it, attentive service, nice selection of drinks and mariachis. I visit Honduras often, and El Patio is on my list of MUST go to places on every trip.
I havent been to this place in a very long time, our waitress served us the food and never came back to check on us, The initial food was very good, the main meal the meat was hard, not very good to be honest. We told our waitress about it, he answer was "thats the way that meat is"I am dessapointed for the service and the food.
Eh, for a place that touts authentic, traditional Honduran food, this place fell short for my Honduran dining mates and myself. It was missing a lot of staples like baleadas, pollo con tajadas, sopa de res, etc. Also, good luck eating if you’re a vegetarian like myself. The ambiance felt chintzy and touristy, but I can see how it could be fun to go at night, get some drinks, and dance. I think there are better dining experiences to be had.
We ate there this evening and it was great. I’m from the US where just chips and salsa are provided with the meal but at this restaurant we got chips, tortillas, beans, and queso for free and it was all very good. The rest of the meal was also fantastic. We will likely come back once more before we leave.
El Patio it is Restaurant that you never will be disappointed. The best carne asada in the City.. I definitely recommend it.
We had 9 people and the service was great, the food was delicious, and the prices were very good. All this with the perfect atmosphere.
Great service. Fun ambiance. Surprisingly delicious meat, cooked to the correct temperature. Reasonable prices for the quality and quantity of food.
This place was amazing! Will come back
Terrific everything. The hot bean/cheese over burning wood and chips are yummy. Steaks are the ultimate. Side dishes as well. Service so good. Must go to place.
This was my first restaurant in HN and I should say this raised the bar to another level about the food.Started with beans, nacho chips, Queso (very unique), fried plantinsThen I ordered their aignature steak(mediumwith chimichuri it was dope.If you ever visit to Tegucigalpa, HN you should not miss thisService: Very good and politeValue for food : 100%Will I come back: Yes ofcourse
I am here for the first time. I have heard great things about here. The food was great. THE SERVICE WAS BAD. First I order 1/2 bottle 4 year flor de caña. They sent out 7 year. I did not check which I should have... It doesn’t matter I speak Spanish. 4 to 7 year big difference. I came to find out about it when they brought my bill to me. The gentlemen taking care of me: I only saw him 3 times. While I was here over 1 hour. I was by myself. I’m not from here. Someone else brought my food and still no sign of him. I had to wave down someone else to ask what I needed/wanted. They brought it over and still no sign of him until I had to pay. This place has been here for over 40 years. They need to get better help. The guy was really bad and killed my visit here. After I asked him what he was going to do about the 7/4 year mixup. He shrugged his shoulders and said nothing. So sad. Food was good though. Not sure if I will be bringing my business partners or clients here ever.
Fantastic food! Great staff and a good atmosphere. The chicken, pork, and steak were all delicious!
This is a best place for celebrating birthdays and special days. Even normal days if you would like to listen live music, you can visit there. They have different really delicious traditional Honduran food in the menu and prices are so convinient. I suggest this place for everyone who would like to have some special time, listen music and eat delicious Honduran food.
We were there a few days ago, a great place to visit when you are in Tegucigalpa, traditional restaurant, great service, and the most, the food is excellent, specially Señor Conquistador, as usual, very very good, premium quality meat and the sides are fantastic. Five stars to this place.
The food was ok but Ive had better.Overall its a very friendly place and very nice people.
Delicious, iconic place in Tegucigalpa, full recommended...
Simply the best! The place is beautifully decorated with Honduran folklore, plus it has divine food. I highly recommend it.
Delicious menu items, genuine Honduran food. Great service, and great ambiance.
Good traditional Honduran food, My only complaint is that the traditional horchata (drinktasted more like pozol than horchata. I can say anything about the atmosphere we were there late night and they were about to close for the evening. *Dated traditional design.
Extreme food, great quantity and quality combined! Nice environment.
Best place in Tegucigalpa for the ones that want to try all typical food, such as frijoles fritos con mantequilla, carne asada, baleadas, tacos fritos, quesillo. Highly recommended. Try El Conquistador.
Tasty food great ambience reasonable price
Good food but slow service.
Very good food. The pieces were excellent, the taste of the food had the typical taste of the Honduran food. The service was also very good and the price was nice. I went there with a friend and his wife, and we all enjoyed what the menu had to offer. Even the day ssert was delicious... The name was very funny though: "doughnut on Honey"... Super sweet, and absulutely delicious. Can recommend this without hesitation
Ive been in better places. I know better service. Its over priced. But the food was good. The music is good. Its clean. They are polite. But its no 5 star. Specially for the prices they are charging in the economy of this country. It makes no sense. Make it smallest, less staff, better service, and keep the same quality. Youll get 5 stars.
