Outpost of a family-owned counter-service chain doing Mexican standards & homemade tortilla chips.
Worth every penny and dime. Must try place Try anything you will like it. I can assure you about the chicken dish all of them fabulous.
Had the best sopaipilla burger.
This restaurant is pretty wheelchair accessible. Wide sidewalk and doors, no stairs, and the staff were helpful. I stopped by for lunch and really enjoyed the combo.
Delicious food high recommend all the parasol restaurants.
Worst “Mexican” food I’ve ever had. Lady taking our order named Mayra was very rude and got upset because I couldn’t hear what she was saying to me. I asked for a cup for ice and water she gave me a bottle of water which I refused. She finally gave me a cup I filled up my cup with “water” only to find out it was soda water not regular. I walked outside and my boyfriend stayed inside waiting for our order. He heard the lady and the man in the counter talking about me calling me names so he called them out, and of course they denied everything. I don’t recommend this rude place to anyone. Spend your coins somewhere else!
Always good quality. Good price. Good bizcochitos and a nice daily special
Delicious and reliable. Had the frito pie this time - great!
Excellent and dependable food and service. I love their green chili stew and tamales.
If you dont know, El Parasol is a fast food style restaurant. However, it is very delicious! Highly recommended!
So my order said it will be ready at 5:22. And I didnt get my order until 5:29.. I didnt get any discount or decrease price in my order... I dont understand why they cant even make orders go out on time. When they have been doing this for so many year... 😠😠😡😡
Great authentic new Mexico cuisine. Well balanced chili heat and flavor.Unfortunately my smothered burrito wasnt heated, due to still being served in a take out box.
Ordered the frito pie and it was quite good and surprisingly well spiced. The pricing was pretty good and the staff friendly
First timer here! A bunch of people in town told me I had to check it out, so I did. I’ll be honest, having lived in Mexico for years I definitely am a bit picky with my tacos. The food here was okay. It wasn’t anything to die for but I’d come back again. The staff were friendly, the establishment was nice and clean, and the food came out quick. Overall, not too bad.
They are so friendly here. We like to get tacos here.
I had the carnitas tacos and they were pretty incredible! Definitely a good spot for lunch!
Still the best tacos around, but at $4 each the prices are a match now with other Chichi locations around here.... No ground beef and very flavorful overall, but value has really declined as of June 2022
Amazing beefy flavorful Green Chili stew, and king sized burritos!! The green chili stew was out of this world. It had a nice medium hot chili. Not too hot, but had a nice "bite".
The chicken really wasnt seasoned. Not enough flavor
First time visiting this location and I want a burrito with beans green Chile and guacamole. Which is what I thought I was ordering because I get the same burrito at the other locations. What I got was a vegetarian burrito with mushy potato broccoli carrots mix beans and a very small amount of green Chile and no guacamole! I guess the burrito was kind of OK but they were getting ready to close and the place smelled like a chemical factory of cleaning supplies which was not a pleasant environment to eat in. Maybe I’ll give them another chance.
Wonderful Mexican food! Friendly staff! Quick, accurate service!
El parasol in Los Alamos is awesome the salsa is delicious some of the best in the state some of the other parasols like the one in Espanola the salsa just taste different I dont know why
Delicious tacos, burritos, tamales and great french fries.
Pretty good food. It is really weird they didnt have cilantro and lime when I went. It was the first time I went and if I order tacos I hoped to get cilantro, lime, and onions.
Great burger spot..nothing beats a small side of the road burger.
Good breakfast burrito, their chilies are really good, quick to serve. Really nice seat lobby, very clean. Thanks again
Delicious the tamales were so good and it seems home made. I demolished it so did get a picture. However the breakfast taco was great as well!!!
The soft taco I ordered was not real tasty not enough seasoning. The chicken tasted more like a rotisserie chicken
We visited near closing time on a weekend afternoon and they were cleaning up around us, making us uncomfortable and almost like we were a nuisance. Food was low quality, cold, and slapped together. El Parasol es no muy bueno.
Very good food. The red chile was really hot but was good! Definitely a place I would visit again or I would recommend!
I placed an order for 2 breakfast tacos and one of them had a hair in it. So I threw the taco away . I did not call I thought when I went next time I would inform them. I went 4 days later and the supervisor on duty said she could not do anything about it because i did not call. I work next door and I am a regular there. Not to sure anymore 😕
Good nachos. Decent burrito. Didnt get the fries I ordered. I should have checked before leaving. Thats on me. Long wait.
Good and fast Southwest fare. I had the Burrito with Red Chile and it was well done. Small bag of chips made for an excellent meal.
NOT GOOD, dont waste your money. Came here on vaca for the balloon Fiesta, girl taking orders was rude as hell but super friendly to her co workers. The workers continued to talk while my food sat on the counter for far too long - thought the last container put on the counter was ours and that was why but turns out it was for someone elses order and they just couldnt be bothered to DO THEIR JOB. Food was sloppy and quite gross. Dont do it to yaself!
Someone else mentioned best Mexican in the area. I am not from the area but love Mexican and after eating at a few places around Santa Fe last few days, this is by far the best I have had.
The food can be good but as others have said the service is pretty bad and the majority of the time your order will get messed up in some way. The last straw today was getting charged twice and then getting home to find out they had given us the wrong food.
El Parasol fairly regularly loses track of orders or makes the wrong item. For example, we placed an online order today that they lost. They took the order again in person after it was clear that our order wasnt coming, but they left the bacon out of my bacon breakfast burrito. Instead of bacon, I had loads of beans, a tiny bit of egg, and a tiny bit of potato. A burrito the previous week had nearly raw bacon that I had to pick out and throw away. Other times, they have just never brought my order out and it has turned out that they lost my order. They basically just seem rushed and disorganized, then somewhat lackadaisical about fixing the problems. The food is totally acceptable when they make the right thing.
We had burgers and fries and they were delicious! The food came out very quickly for as busy as they were and the burgers were cooked to perfection. The staff were very nice too. I would eat there again!
Any of the three location is a good lunch or dinner choice. Its always good! Los Alamos, Pojoaque or Espanola They even have breakfast Tacos if you are looking for something lite and not a big Breakfast burrito. Try it youll like it!
😑pretty bad food with very unfriendly service. The burritos are just meat. Literally nothing else. Just meat. No beans or rice or anything. Meat and tortilla followed by stomach cramps. Also no greeting for the second time from this guy. Just stands there and doesn’t say a word until you initiate the process. Like I’m bothering him with my presence as a paying customer. I guess it’s par for the course as this is the best restaurant we’ve found in town and it’s not even near good. Save your time and your money. This place and it seems, all other in LA aren’t worth your time if you have even the slightest pallet for decent food. We’ll just cook our own meals from here on out.
I generally adore this place. I love the chicken tacos and the veggie burrito.BUT...Every time I order for pickup (which is always nowadaysI feel like the staff is personally offended that I dared order from them. I get attitude on the phone and when I arrive to pick up. Its gotten so consistent that I expect it now.Its disappointing that the staff hate their jobs.
A go to for those in Los Alamos. Recent trip ordered cheeseburger added guacamole, chile cheese fries(Xmas), and the New Mexican staple of frito pie(co workers).Burger is always a good choice. Meat has good flavor and good size patty. Only complaint for this trip, bun became soggy.Fries were good as usual.Coworkers enjoyed the frito pies. Good portion size.
It’s fine if you’re in a hurry but the burger taco is a joke unless you’re trying to cut a little carb. Tamales are great. Frito pie was a soggy mess “fresh” from the kitchen.
Their shredded beef tacos are really good but I dont think there should be potato inside of the hard tacos. The Frito pie is also good, tamales are great. I feel some of their pricing needs adjusting but it might be just spot on for the good quality they provide.
Best food in town! Awesome breakfast burritos and tacos you can get. Definitely recommend getting the bacon red, carne gusida, and of course the chicken tacos with guac!!
I came from Texas where Mexican food comes standard. However, I order a Carne Guisada "burrito" (it was a tacothat was not carne guisada. It looked and tasted like dry shreaded beef. Additionally, when I asked if I might have received the wrong order the waitress confirmed that what I had was "carne guisada". Lastly, I also asked for salsa verde and the guy gave me some red looking sauce that tastes like pizza sauce. I will not be returning. Its unfortunate how this place is misleading its customers.
El Parasol used to be good (used to bekey word. The food is so called fresh. Well, I take fresh food at a fast food joint as in, not being frozen.Ever wonder why your burger bun is sopping wet and soggy. There ya go.I tried to enjoy a frito pie today and it was un-eatable. I love spice, but I threw it out about 5 bites in because the spice was overpowering the other tastes in the food which people want to taste. So there you go, theres my 2 cents. Burritos are good, and so are the tacos.
The food is ALWAYS good here, but they really rose to the occasion during the pandemic. Weve been picking up frozen green chile chicken enchilada casseroles and they are just SUPERB.
Good traditional New Mexican food. The standard tacos have fried corn tortillas, just like the first time I tried them 55 years ago before taco shells were a thing. My favorite is their carne adovada burrito, but they have been having some tasty daily specials recently. We go there often, sometimes to dine in, sometimes for carry out. My only complaint is that they start cleaning up before the close. The strong smell of Lysol detracts from enjoyment of the food.
They have some of the best and fastest New Mexican food around. It’s an order at the counter place, and can be a little loud and echoey so if you’re looking for ambience, this is not your place. Which is totally fine cuz their food 100% makes up for that.(Also be aware, apparently they have different “winter hours” sometimes? We went a few times when they should have been open and found them closed? So that’s confusing.)
A busy but well run establishment. Grilled steak taco and chicken tamales are fantastic.
