El Muelle in Cartagena

Excellent customer service… the food is great. I had 2 mango bichue micheladas to drink (I hope I’m spelling it rightand a 7 mares soup …. Absolutely delicious. Ask for Manuel.

This place is a must-go-to when you visit Cartegena. It is directly across from the beach. The view is amazing. The food is just as good -- it is also amazing. Thr appetizers were delicious. We ordered Crab Dib, Crab empanadas, Caesar Salad with chicken, etc. They were all 10 out of 10. The entrées were even better. The Red Snapper and Chicken/Steak bites were the absolute best!!

Food is good some days and others not. Plan to wait awhile to get your order but the view of the Caribbean helps!

It was a nice place, very quiet and peaceful.I like it.

Food is always great, service is courteous and attentive to cater all your needs, location is good, the place is very active during daytime due to sun bathers and water sports in front of the restaurant; so what else to say? If staying in Cartagena this is a most-go place.

We just stopped here for a few beers (local beer 10k)Its got a great view of the sea and it had shade from the sun.I think they own part of the beach and you can take your food and drinks to it (not sure if you have to pay more for this).We didnt eat, but the menu was extensive and other peoples food looked pretty good.The staff were friendly and attentive.

Stopped here for a few drinks as we were getting too hot walking on the beach. Lovely staff and good service. The menu looked good but we did not order food. They also have seats on the beach area so its probably worth stopping by if you are after some proper cocktails and food by the beach.

This place is incredible, had the best mariscos and patacones here the other day! Also enjoyed the micheladas and other refreshing drinks by the beach, very relaxing spot and the staff is very attentive to your needs. A little pricey for the area but its well worth it for the quality of food you are getting!

Maybe we caught them on a bad night. Food was average at best, very over priced. It is like they tried to present it well, but the cooks or chefs butchered the food. We had salmon (over cooked tough), white fish (just teribble), sea bass and crab ( meh). My son was happy with his mixto beef and chicken and fries. I tried beef, cubed London broil. Ugh .....just my 2 cents. Waiters spoke English, good music, service attentive, on the beach. So many options- dont get lazy and come here. Walk to de Silvios (we ate there twiceor cab some where else!

The sunset theater was fantastic. I was not enthusiastic about any of the food I ordered.This is a sunset and drinks place.

Horrible experience! We can as a party of 9. My wife and I were served our food after the rest of my family finished. My dinner was cold and did not include any utensils to help with the crab legs. Then they tried to rip us off on the bill. Beware and stay away from this place. The fact it was empty should have told me to choose somewhere else. Update- My wife, son and mother in law spent the whole night throwing up and had diarrhea due to food poisoning

Best local food in Cartagena. Ive had the same dishes here as other more pretentious restaurants in Cartagena, and El Muelle always wins. Here, you pay for the food instead of the the decor, but its still a beautiful beachfront spot. The staff are great, the place is a perfect spot to enjoy a sunset, and the food is amazing. They know how to cook seafood so that it keeps all its flavor, and its all super fresh. Cazuela de mariscos is my all-time favorite.

For us a couple of me Dutch and my wife Colombian Dutch always the best place to go during the day in Cartagena. The beach is excellent and safe also for children and the food is excellent.

Definitely one of the better seafood meals I’ve had in colombia and definitely the best I’ve had in cartagena. Service was nothing special….quite slow actually. But when you’re sitting and watching the ocean, time didn’t seem to matter much haha. Great food though.

If in Bocagrande, a great spot. Great views of the ocean for people watching, and watching windsurfers and kite boarders play in the ocean. Food here was just terrific. One of the best meals Ive had in a while. Service was excellent also. My waiter was on the mark on timing and provided helpful local tips and recommendations. When Im in Cartegena I will stop by this place again. Highly recommend.

Amazing location, better food!My hotel was near by and I told myself I would come here sooner in my trip, wish I listened to myself. Discovered it later into my trip and came back to back my last days.They offer spots to be on the beach, you can eat or hang out afterwards if you eat inside the rest. The beach does get a full crowd of sellers as well, even got a foot massage lounging.Dont forget to bring your own beach towels!

Just what we wanted. The fried fish was delicious and generous in size. The view on the second floor was also nice. The only bad thing was that the waitress tried to seat people downstairs and lied to people telling them upstairs was full. Loved the coconut rice.

Amazing restaurant with a beautiful view I was on my way to my hotel and my friend suggested we go eat here she lives in Cartagena. The food was delicious will definitely return.

Pricey food. Great service.. quality of food is low... Imported seafood.... Drinks are strong. You pay for the location being on the beach.

The good:-great atmosphere and proximity to the ocean (you can catch the sunset here)-soup and seafood rice were decentNot great:-the fish (go elsewhere if thats what youre after)

This is so far my favorite restaurant in Cartagena. Such a tasty food:and also really nice staff.We ordered the crab dip, 7 seas soup and some fish. Everything was really flavorful and good quality.We will be back for sure:)

A rundown, dirty eating place on the beach at the southern tip. Its not an upscale place.There were no clients dining or lounging on their beach chairs. We saw a loud argument between 2 waiters against a tourist who used their restroom. The waiters were very loud and aggressive demanding 2000 pesos baños fee before the tourist even started to talk. There were no posted signs of this 25 c baños fee.We felt El Muellers waiters are stupid and rude street guys, so we canceled out dinner plan there and looked for a better place with more civilized people.

Stopped here for lunch with my fiance. Had a michelada and a beer. I had beef tips and fiance had fish. Both were excellent. Mine came with fries and would swap them out for rice next time. Otherwise view was great and service was great too

Not bad place, higher price of food and beverage is equal to location and service. Staff spoke English which is miracle in Cartagena 🙂

This is an amazing restaurant. We ate there twice and had some delicious seafoods. Also the ambience is really nice and the staff very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended!

When we arrived there was nobody at the restaurant, no customers or workers, just a guy sitting by the entrance playing on his phone, so we went inside to look at the menu while waiting for somebody to help us. After about five minutes we asked the guy sitting by the entrance if the place was closed. He said it was still opened and he was the waiter. He seemed to be bothered with our presence but we were already there so we ordered some cocktails and snacks. They were tasteless so we decided to ask for the bill and leave. It was the most expensive mistake I have done when selecting a restaurant.

We came to Cartagena to spend a month here and work from home. This restaurant became one of the best parts of our trip.Most of all, I would like to say a huge THANK YOU to our favorite staff: Juan, Erick, and Jassir. They have worked tirelessly to make our vacation amazing. They remembered our favorite food, looked after us, and made us feel right at home at El Muelle.When we only had 30 mins for lunch, they made sure to pack it to go. When we were in the water, they made sure to only bring the food when we got out so it wouldnt get cold.We came here on the first day, but after that we came almost every day because these guys took such good care of us. THANK YOU!!!Regarding the food, it was amazing. Super fresh seafood and juices. I think we tried pretty much everything on the menu. Their ceviches are sooooo good! I also appreciate that they were always willing to try modifications and make new dishes for me. For example, one of my new favorite dishes was grilled octopus with veggies and potatoes, which Erick helped me order every time I wanted because I do not speak Spanish well.Regarding safety, this is a pretty secure beach - no complains here.Anyway, I think the photos speak for themselves.

A very budget priced restaurant with good food and amazing views. The shrimp is great and even the filet is tasty! This place has all outdoor but covered seating and also beach chairs and lounges. You can access one of the best beach areas in Cartagena here since it is protected from the waves and doesnt have rocks all around you.

Very nice view while eating.. unfortunately the quality of dishes didnt meet my expectations, I feel it is over rated on internet. Fresh juice are full of sugar and water. Picada was average, and not very pleasant. the appetizer dish was very good. My soup has only 2 shrimps and it was just good not extraordinary.

Great deck with a view and WiFi. Drinks arent cheap compared to area, but they are if your are a tourist. Go for the view, but not for the food!

Every time we visit Cartagena we stay near that little beach and El Muelle restaurant. Sea food is fresh, all meals we had there were delicious. They have showers and clean bathrooms, kids playground, free wi-fi. Restaurants tents are right beside.

Food was really good and the ocean views was great as well. Or if you want you can just order your food and eat it on the sand part of the beach

It was my first time visiting cartagena and thankfully before I went I did plenty of research. Theres definitely a lot of different places to visit specially when it becomes to food spots. i decided to give El muelle a tried based on the reviews Ive seen. I actually liked it more than expected. Food is nice and fresh, Service its outstanding. They really go above and beyond to make sure you enjoy your food. The view is amazing during the day and night time as well. Prices are fair for whatever food you get. They also have parking on the side of the restaurant, a plus for sure. Thank you guys we had a great time.

Nice beachside location with great seafood. Wide range of dishes from fresh fried fish to delicious specialities. Very reasonable prices ranging from 25,000 to $60,000 COP. We went for lunch and stayed the whole afternoon enjoying the beach.

Had a lunch there, great food with beach view!! Reasonable price and very good service. Very relax vibe.
