Margaritas were watered-down. Maybe the mix was out at room temperature. Food was bland except for the guacamole.

Great authentic Mexican cuisine, service was fast and friendly. Definitely recommend.

Amazing service. Literally every employee that works there that walks past your table all stop and ask if you need anything. Dinomite service and amazing food!

Cant say enough about this place. We stopped in here at 8:30pm, not long before closing, and the food and service was as if they had just opened for the day. We were not rushed at all and the service was impeccable. The food was very good and if I wasnt driving I would have enjoyed one of their specialty drinks. Also someone had made an awful mess in the restroom and as soon as we notified the staff it was immediately rectified.

Ordered a Mexican pizza and asada fries without guacamole. What I got was double quacamole and just regular fries. I could have went to taco bell for better and cheaper

The food had a good flavor and we got our food in a reasonable time even though we were a group of 20 people. The menu on google maps is different, that created some confusion when ordering on the phone.

Service was pretty good. Food looked good but lacked flavor. Pretty boring and for us, not worth the price

This is our favorite stop in grants pass. Must try and then keep going back too. Today its 98 degrees there AC broke and they are hustling in this heat making killer food for us. Im hope they get to go home early tonight. Thanks for your dedication 🙏

Good basic Mexican restaurant. Service is quick and friendly. Food is tasty and varied. Some proteins are breaded so ask to make sure if you dont want your shrimp breaded in your tacos.

It was bad the prices went up the quality went down got charge for habanero sause that was watery,there salsa if you want to call it that was watery and not flavorful at all, I have never spent this much for what I got!!!!

This was one of the best Mexican meals Ive had in a while. I got the New York Mocajete (New York steak with a cheese enchilada, rice and beans). It was very good! Go here!

Hot day and had to take my puppy to the outdoor seating area. They were very nice, took my order quick and although they were very busy, I had my order in 15 minutes. Delicious food!

Food was good, but my husband was shocked to see the bill. When we inquired why it was three times what we were expecting they were very rude to him and I did not like that. It was also much too loud in there.

The food was fantastic and the service is over the top. I had a lobster enchilada and my wife had a Tomales and there was alot of great food and the margaritas are fantastic.

Food was great, salsa the bomb.com, the waitress was not very friendly and seemed as though shed rather be anywhere else. I didnt enjoy the demeanor of her, it made the entire experience less pleasant. However I hope her day improved 🙏😌.

I ordered take out today during the Boatnik. I noticed the bag was very light. When I opened the two containers the food barely covered the bottom . Very little food for BIG price. Good service but I will not recommend or return.

My daughter and I had shrimp and drinks: mojitos and a blended mango margarita. The people were nice. They have outdoor seating. Parking was a bit tight because they were a bit busy.

Last time we were there we were given the wrong to-go order. They refused to make it over again while we were returning it until AFTER they verified that we the wrong order. They argued with us and said the cook says he put it in the bag. That may be so but clearly we had the wrong order. When we arrived the other man who was given our order had already arrived and they were making ours as well over again. They never apologized and refused to admit they were wrong. Maybe writing the name on the bag would help in the future? Wont matter, we wont order there ever again after the way we were treated.Accusing your customers of either being so dumb that we dont know what we ordered, like my daughters chicken nuggets for example. Or accusing us of trying to swindle the restaurant, one we have been going to for 7 years ever since we moved here, is a little ridiculous.

My family and I had a great time and the food was delicious! Chips were crisp and the salsa was good, not to spicy but a good kick. We ordered a variety of food. From enchiladas, carnitas, tamales, tacos and quesadillas. Everything was delicious. We also had the chimi dessert which was also delicious. A perfect dessert to share after putting your leftovers in a box. Service started and followed very quickly at first. Service got a bit slow toward the end. It was ok for us because we had no hurry. It could be a problem for someone who has something to do soon. It could have been a shift change. Idk. Otherwise, great experience. Very pleasant staff.

The portions here are huge, so its great for sharing dinner!! Not a solo night out price point. Drinks are spectacular though, and the staff are friendly and efficient.

Its an amazing restaurant to go eat at but the Ella is amazing she welcomed me and my family and made us feel great not like other restaurants if you ever go ask for her she is the best

We went to El Molcajete for the first time today. I had the lobster enchiladas and my wife had the seafood enchiladas. Both were excellent. Staff is quick to serve as well. All in all a great place to have some very good food. We did not try the margaritas. that is for next time...

We had best carne asada...this has become our favorite spur of moment dinner spotand was treated to round of drinks with owner. We were given super fast super friendly amazing food at reasonable prices.. The pineapple margarita was drink of night and I was super impressed. Its their little details which make them not only great but wishing I had option of more stars. Thank you

Amazing food and service. I enjoyed the environment by how friendly everyone treated my family and I before stepping inside. The owners are always out and making sure that everyone is being served, something you don’t see anywhere. Would recommend this place to all my friends and family.

“Ooh we y why whu😳” ….. heard about Casa Amigos from fair share of folks(being I’m not from the area)….. fortunately it was close; due to “lack of staff”When I say it was … “fortunes n Disguise” I mean it !!! The waiter was so amazing(serve us dining outside). The friendliness and advocate of choice he thought we should try. Overall amazing !!! And to finish off “2shots for the wife and I”(so smooth😶‍🌫️🥶)

We were sitted then, another larger group came got sitter and served before us. I ordered lobster enchiladas, as I was eating them they tasted different. I asked my husband if he thought it was lobster. He said no, called the server over and asked him. He when to the kitchen, came back and told us it was imitation lobster. It had different types of fish in them, it was horrible. I told him to take it away. They did take my plate of our bill which was very nice!Pictures I included are, cheese enchiladas, combination plate, lobster enchiladas.

The food and horchatas were pretty good and the margarita was nothing special. Service needs improvement; we sat for 5 minutes before being waited on and getting drinks. When we got our food no silverware was on the table so we had to look at our food for a few minutes before we could eat. Staff is friendly and we will probably come back again to see if it was just a bad night for them, they were not slammed so Im not sure what happened.

Nice out side dinning area. The place was busy, and the staff were completely overwhelmed, but they were still very helpful.Well worth dinner and drinks. The price on the food was good and everything tasted great.The English language is a little bit slow here. But its authentic Grants Pass Mexican food.

The staff was very family oriented and extremely polite and punctual on presentation and provisions. The drink special for two was amazing in this oversized bowl that turned into a cup. Lol the food was absolutely amazing. Little sad about how we asked for extra spicy. Only to receive what we thought was standard. However, we have very cultured pallets to please lol. The boys man sent us away with a shot and a smile. Ill definitely be returning here as a regular.

The food was great. The mole was more on the chocolate side. The enchiladas molcajete was good. We waited about 45 minutes on a Wednesday night. The service was ok. The drinks looked good, but we were too hungry! The outdoor seating is chilly with only a few heat lamps for the small space. Cheers 🍻

We ordered the Tacos Al Carbon & the Fiesta Appetizer, & a couple other things... Very good food - I was impressed with their To-Go packaging as well. The employees were very helpful & seemed to follow wearing a mask & hand sanitizing regularly. Would definitely go back!

Great food, HUGE portions, cheap prices and the best horchata around. It was our first time coming here and it definitely wont be our last. The service was quick and friendly. Overall the experience was fantastic.

Food was very good, although the service was forgettable. We ordered chicken fajita salad and Chile Verde. The pork was pretty tough, like it had been cooked separately and just tossed with the sauce. It was alright. But honestly for $25 for 2 people, including tax and tip, you cant complain that much.

Let me count the ways...One spectacular Cazadores margarita6 incredible sides to accompany my perfectly caramelized fajitas10 (at leastounces of the most tender carne asada Ive ever had.And most importantly, and definitely not quantifiable, incredible service from a family owned establishment. If the food hadnt already left me speechless, their kindness and hospitality would have.Thank you again, El Mocajete! You are spectacular!

I was very disappointed. Never been here before, and wanted to order the "el Molcajete" dish which I figured was their specialty since its the name of the restaurant. I ordered the combo chicken and beef one, and when it came I was confused because on the picture on the menu it showed a big piece of meat draped over the side. Mine had no meat draped, only the cactus plus about 6 slices of pineapple on top (see my picture)!I asked the waitress...."where is the meat? Isnt it supposed to be draped over the sides?" She said "No, only the Molcajete Ranchero has that"....so I guess I needed to pay $25 instead of $17 to get a decent portion of meat to eat? I started digging in, and did see small pieces of chicken and beef in there, so I guess this was soup I ordered for $17? Very disappointing and incredibly over-priced! I later looked at the menu description after I left and it was also supposed to include melted cheese on top, well, see my pic, I got ZERO cheese. Again, is this supposed to be soup filled with 6 slices of pineapple?Very weird dinner. I was not very happy with it at all. Also I specifically went there based on sooooo many 5 star reviews. So many people said they got little complimentary dessert things at the end of the meal, others said they got complimentary shots of tequila??? Is that only for some people, not all? Because we got NOTHING at all but the bill.Weird. Dont believe the hype! Its all phony baloney and a very expensive place to boot.

The food is good for Mexican in Grants Pass. The staff is friendly which makes it a good experience.6/14/2019- downgraded with my new visit at lunch.So it seems to be a new staff and the waiter super rude and enough to make me not want to go back. The food is just okay anymore and took a long time this time for lunch.The outdoor tables are lattice tops so everything sits on it lopsided. They need to put plexi over top of then so your cups dont fall over. I use to love the original place then the new owners purchased it changed everything and it was okay but now Im not sure who owns it or if they care

The restrooms were clean and had a changing table available. The food was very good, the tacos are crunchy. Being from texas I was not expecting that, but never the less the were tasty! Great service and fairly priced for the amount of food. THEY GIVE YOU A BUNCH OF FOOD!!! 👌👌👍👍

Very good food and service large portions and great prices. Their cocktails are very good as well and you get a free shot when you order a cocktail. We were very pleased with this place definitely coming back and will definitely recommend!
