El Mejunje in Cienfuegos

Recomendable. Una especie de gaztetxe, con musica en directo, arboles en su interior y buen ambiente.

Nos recomendaron este sitio y de la que veníamos con nuestro coche de alquiler desde los cayos hasta la Habana paramos a tomar un cafe y verlo. Todo empezó raro cuando al pedir un cafe no venia y no venia, los camareros (uno alto con gorra y otra chica con trenzasestas como nerviosos venga a dar vueltas al rededor de nosotros y tras 15 minutos esperando por el cafe, decidimos irnos. La respuesta de los camareros fue la siguiente, oye amigo no te vayas, que el cafe viene ya, vamos al otro lado que ahi te ponemos el café, cuando llegue a la puerta había dos chicos que no nos dejaron salir a la primera. Cuando pudimos salir fuimos hasta el coche y cual fue la sorpresa teníamos una rueda desinflada. Me puse a cambiar la rueda y por arte de magia apareció un ángel de la guardia (hombre con gorra, pendientes de aros dorados y bicicletaque sin pedírselo nos cambio la rueda pinchada, yo le dije que no que no, que gracias pero el insistió y que nos iba a llevar a un taller a arreglar la rueda. Pues nada le seguimos con la bici y tras ver que el primer taller estaba cerrado nos quiso llevar a otro mas fuera del pueblo, el mientras con la bici llamando por teléfono como muy apurado. Ya me canse y me di media vuelta porque ya no me fiaba. Resultado de todo esto, el muy impresentable me había quitado el obús desinflando la rueda al instante, cuando te llevan al taller que no existe te piden dinero por la pieza o vete tu a saber lo que hubiera pasada. Lo del obús lo se porque cuando llegue a la siguiente gasolinera unos cubanos muy amables me encontraron un obus de repuesto y me inflaron la rueda. Conclusión, lo del bar ves que aparcas con un coche de alquiler, mandan a uno que te quite el obus, el cafe que no llega y mientras hacen tiempo, cuando sales el te ayuda y luego te timan, así que, nunca nunca vayáis a este bar porque con todos los turistas que hablamos nos contaron su estafa con este establecimiento.

Sitio con música en vivo. Cada día de l semana es temático, nosotros fuimos un día de cantautores y estuvo fenomenal. Tienen dos bates para pedir bebida, el de arriba era más barato.

Vergonzoso. Timan al turista y encima se ríen. Mal trato, no te dicen los precios, se ríen de ti y luego te cobran 5 veces más que a los locales. No recomiendo este sitio a ningún extranjero.

Tagsüber Open Air-Bar, abends Kulturzentrum. Sehr coole Location, mit vielen witzigen Details an den Wänden etc. Auch am Tag einen Besuch wert, wer sich die enge Treppe hinauftraut wird mit guten Cocktails auf einem gemütlichen Balkon belohnt. Kein klassisches Touristen-Highlight, aber der Ort wird mir sicher in Erinnerung bleiben.

Obligatoria la visita!!!Si vienes de visita a Santa Clara, este es uno de esos sitios q no te puedes perder.Es ya parte de la historia y la tradición de la ciudad.Abre la mente y disfruta de la experiencia ( no esperes lujos)Lo recomiendo!!!

El mejor lugar señoras y señores. Seguramente pronto estará aún mas repleto de turistas como nosotrxs. Espero que eso no le quite la esencia que tiene ya que es el lugar ideal para conocer artistas cubanos que no basan su obra en atraer turistas.

Hace tiempo que no voy por allí, pero cuando iba pasaba una noches muy divertidas. Muy buen ambiente.

Lugar super agradable para pasarla entre amigos o conocer amigos. Tiene bastante acogida y la gente es buena onda. Musica en vivo.

Centro socioculturale dove spendendo davvero poco si può fare una serata in contatto con le persone del posto.

Cada día es un evento diferente, una mezcla de música y cultura en un solo lugar con difierentes ambientes.

Pues parece un sitio muy agradable, pero lo visité fuera de horario y estaba casi vacío. Puede que merezca la pena para salir de fiesta.

Local bastante agradável. O quarto é espaçoso e tem tudo o que se necessita. A limpeza estava impecável por toda a residência. Dispõe ainda um belo terraço no qual se pode usufruir da vista para a cidade. Santa Clara é também uma cidade bastante mais organizada e limpa quando comparada com Havana.

A must see if youre in Santa Clara. Its mostly in support of GLBTQ community. During the day there was no entree fee, but after 22:00 they have shows and theres definitely a queue which starts at 21:00. Im not sure what the fee was, but wouldnt be more than 3 cuc. Dont park your car in the streets of Santa Clara unattended.

I saw some interesting things in my life. And one of them was watching a drag queen performing next to Fidel Castro and Che Guevara photos!This is a great place where you can meet interesting people; but its not for everybody. It is artistic but not pretentious; good live music and theatre without being exclusive; open to all ages and all peoples....as any art venue should be! (Just a small disclaimer: Exercise the normal caution because you will also meet some of those who want to trick you in touristic traps).Santa Clara is not a touristic city, but it has the 2nd biggest university in the country. This makes it young city by excellence. This young generation needs places of manifestation to express their ideas and feelings. And then come El MejunjeMejunje or "the brew" is one of the few places where i felt Cubans feel free and able to express themselves(within limits of course). The place is divided into the cultural center, where there is always an event happening(a theatre play or film screening). And then there is the bar/club, which host a daily drag queen show(believe it or not! and occasionally live hard rock/metal/alternative music. The place also works on campaigns to raise awareness about LGBT community rights and STDs among locals.I am pretty sure the director is well-connected, because LGBT rights and (relativefreedom of expression is such a sensitive topic in the country.So to cut a long story short, absolutely worth an evening when in town, be sure to try to time your visit with a big band playing loud and lively. Grab a drink from one of the three bars, then strike up a conversation or just dance with one of the locals or visitors nearby

Excelente lugar. Totalmente recomendado. Es el lugar indicado para escuchar buena música y trovadores. La trova es muy buena. Recomiendo la barra del fondo, donde atienden los Orlandos. Allí los precios son más accesibles y la atención es maravillosa. Se puede pagar en CUP. Gente muy copada y simpática.

Ein tolles authentisches Kulturzentrum mit Konzerten, Cafe und Bar. Das Personal ist wie überall sehr freundlich und der Besitzer sehr zuvorkommend. Englisch wird wenig gesprochen aber die Leute sind sehr offen. Die Preise sind in Ordnung und das Entertainment ist klasse. Nachts auf jeden Fall ein Muss. Sonntags ist am meisten los. Selbst schon am Nachmittag.

Preferate place in Santa Clara, every day have different show. There is 2 bars, one on bottom floor with plastic cup, second on second floor and more private.This club is melting pot of students, worker and LGBT, all having fun. Thanks to Piry, you can get free drink at 3. Say your my friend!Second floor is best for special drink, talking and music listening.First floor is dance floor, or show floor if any.( No show on Monday).Shows can be viewed from both floor.

Un local fantàstic. Concerts en directe i teatre per la tarda. Per la nit discoteca a laire lliure amb bona música (es neguen a punxar reggaeton). A més tenen bons preus: lentrada val 5 CUP i els combinats van dels 2 als 2,5 CUC. Nos us oblideu de saludar lentranyable personatge anomenat Crespo.

Visita aquest centre cultural és tota una experiència, perquè cada nit s’hi apleguen artistes locals que posen la seva música el servei de la nit de Santa Clara. És molt recomanable deixar-se caure en més d’una ocasió perquè la varietat d’estils és important. És un espai a l’aire lliure cal tenir-ho en compte

Was a great experience visiting here. I was there for an b event, being it was in Cuba the event started late but was still a great deal of fun.

El lugar más diverso de Santa Clara en Cuba, enverdad hay eventos todos los días de la semana dedicados a públicos diferentes, excelente ambiente y puedes encontrarte con personas que realmente te hablan sobre su vida en Cuba, personal atento y amable, local amplio y recibe de forma cálida a la comunidad LGBTI

A great late night party place in Santa Clara. The drag show (midnight - $5CUC entryis not to be missed! Drinks at the usual Cuba prices (I paid $2.5 for a Cuba libre). Earlier in the evening youll find locals tearing up the bottom dance floor before emptying out and the late night crowd trickling in.

Excellent place to experience the night life of the city. During the day we could hear some music and see people dancing and having a good time. And the same day during the night the place turned into a club with loud music. It was gay night and everyone was having a good time. The entrance was 5 CUC per person and beer was 2 CUC, but if you go to the bar at the back of the place the beer is cheaper.

El punk vive en este lugar y se hace llamar "el Animal" mientras te invita a un trago y a dejar tu pintada en algún muro o puerta.

Para mi uno de mis lugares favoritos yo naci en esa ciudad y aun de lejos estrano todo. Como los carros locos algun dia volvere.
