El Japonés Sushi & Thai - Japanese restaurant in Celaya, Mexico
Great food and atmosphere! Super recommended 👌😁
Excellent sushi place with a weirdly worn-down restroom. No marking on the door, no water in the tap, and a sketchy-looking room altogether.
If you ever go there order number 53! Soooo delicious!
Great Japanese restaurant in Barcelona !!!
Really nice experience we had today, we just walked in and then staff was super friendly and the food was freshly prepared and very tasty, Aaron was very attentive and we will definitely be back !
The food is good but no great.Service is very average and the air conditioning is way too cold, many guest put on scarfs.
Can be considered as one of the good Japanese restaurants in Barcelona . The food is good and the service too but it’s a bit slow due to shortage of staff. I liked their way in submitting the menu with a checklist to choose your order in a way to avoid mistake maybe .
The food was great , the staff are amazingly friendly, not that expensive, you must try
Delicious sushis. Quite fancy area so prices are a bit higher than elsewhere.
Very nice place with good food and nice people.
So the sushi/ rolls were very fresh and delicious! The steak were very soft and tasty. Very nice place, highly recommended:)
This place is amazing! Staff is really friendly and they explain you if you don’t understand something.Tataki beef is superb and rolls as well!
I ate here literally 11 years ago and haven’t forgotten my meal. Huge HUGE fan of the food here. Can’t wait to go back!
Best sushi ever! If you’re in Barcelona and want some sushi - Go to this restaurant! Great food, nice interior and the best service! Thank you Aaron!
47 euro tip?I had a gift card in the amount of 100 EUR. We went 2 people and had a normal lunch. Our bill was 53 EUR. When I wanted to pay, the waiter told me that it was a one-time-voucher and it was not possible to use the resting 47 EUR in a next visit. He offered me to pay the bill with my money and come again with more people in order to take advantage of the whole sum (which of course I will not do everand not lose the 47 EUR.They told me that I should have said at the beginning I had a voucher, so they would have explained to me how it worked ?!? And they were explaining to me the difference between a gift ticket, gift card on a smartphone and a physical gift card (because the last one is supposed to be for multiple visits according to them (in general)The waiter was kind to call the administration or boss to check if it was possible to do something about the aprox. 50% of the whole amount and the answer was "No, restaurant´s policy".I checked afterwards, when you buy the gift card, they tell you in the small text that it is a voucher for only one visit. BUT it is NOT written on the gift card. How is the person who receives the gift card supposed to know about it? Or when you give a present to someone, you say "Btw, it is only for one visit, keep it in mind." Ridiculous.Well, as the kitchen was already closed, I found myself "forced" to take away desserts, like 7 mojis and pralines in the amount of 47 EUR (do not know if to laugh or cry now when looking backjust in order not to let them the money. Of course no tip left. What a pity for them choosing this policy instead of thinking on the long run and have happy guests. The food was ok and the waiters kind. Especially one of the waitresses was really positive and cheerful. Nevertheless, I will not come back neither recommend due to this disappointing experience.
🤩
I have been there before but this time my experience was not satisfying. The staff were not attentive, the food was not goodAnd the beef was not tender. The best part was dessert.
A stylish Japanese restaurant with good food and service, reasonably priced for the location.
Very good quality and delicious food overall. Some of the products are a bit too expensive based on the quantity provided
In my experience, more form than substance. Slow to almost non existent service... Except for bringing food to the table. Service was at best perfunctory Food was acceptable but overall nothing to write home about. Disappointed. Not inspired to take any photos.
If you want to have real authentic Japanese home cooked food, this is the place! I, Japanese, who have tried Japanese restaurants in Europe, cannot tell you how disappointed I have been as it is normally Westernized or pseudo-Japanese. A simple misoshiru (miso soupis the biggest disappointment usually but ElJaponés makes it right! Even the simple gyoza is not the thick skin dumplings, it is the tasty hane-gyoza which I never expected. Edamame is cooked just right, not overcooked and a dash of the salt hmmm! The simplest dishes is what makes this restaurant apart from other Japanese restaurants, worth trying if you really like Japanese food and want to try authentic Japanese dishes. Price is friendly and better to make reservations.
Lovely place, very friendly, great authentic Japanese food. My Japanese partner was very happy.Sake was good too
In the center of Barcelona you will find a friendly and attentive staff, the menu with an assortment in which you do not get lost, remarkable quality of the dishes, in my opinion the steak did not meet expectations but they knew how to compensate excellently. The best : staffThe worst : was missing a bit of cleaning in the toilets
Excellent food a d great service. Make sure you reserve a table. Very busy this this thursday when we visited
Very cosy, well decorated place. Above average food. Was worth the visit but was not exceptional enough for us to come back, so many other places to visit. The gyozas, the beef and the okonomiyaki were perhaps more satisfying than the variety of sushi we got.
The food was stunning and really let down by the forgetful unattentive staff. Maybe we went on a bad day. 👎
The food was partly amazing and partly disappointing. The service leaves much to be desired, and the atmosphere was very nice.
Whao real Japanese restaurant super central in a quite place !Love it. Choice is little small but quality is Japan compatible at a very raisonnable price
Excellent sushi and very pleasant ambiance. A little bit pricier than indicated but definitely worth it.
Brilliant, varied Japanese food. Catered really well to us as vegetarians. Good value for what is an experience on a par with any other major city outside Japan. Excellent attentive service and beautiful ambience.
Stuff are amazing and the food is better
Friendly and welcoming staff with a lovely atmosphere. The waiter spoke English and was really helpful and reccomended some really nice dishes for us. The flavour combinations were amazing and the sushi was really fresh. The salmon roll and marinated white fish were incredible. Will definitely be coming back.
Rolls were too dry. But that is not the reason of 1 star. I really feel baadfter having a Lounch at this place. Dont think food was fresh
Nice cosy, modern atmosphere.Welcoming staff.Short and simple menu with high quality food brilliantly served to the tables. The "tempura de langostinos" is just outsranding with that yummy spicy sauce it is served eith. The chicken skewers are delicious!!! You cannot visit it without eating them.High quality for decent price!!Extremely recommended
very nice place.located on a street with other great restaurants.great food.loved the shrimp tempura with spicy sauce (not spicy at all).
Sashimi and sushi both were very good. Fresh tasty productsService is good and nice atmospherePrices are too high( cup of cava 6 euro...white wine 4.5 euro)
I keep coming back there every time I am in Barcelona. Easy atmosphere, good food, not very big but nice selection of wine, all in reasonable prices.
Short said, great food with excellent customer service. A real peoples manager. Was a pleasant surprise.A must visit, when in Barcelona.Thx guys!
Cozy local with tasty and innovative dishes. I may recommend it to all Sushi lovers that look for the difference. We also had a fantastic service by the restaurant’s manager!
Hmm - depends what you’re looking forFirst time visitInterestingly their sushi bar is separate from the chefs preparing the food. A first for me but decided to give them a shot after another at the bar told me it was decent even is there are better alternatives nearby.Calling oneself “The” Japanese is mighty ambitious. After sitting for 5min at the bar with no one passing by to clean up the mess, I couldn’t take it and went to sit at a table solo. It was also dirty but thankfully someone came to wipe it. Looking around I noticed that while the architecture is quite clean, the surroundings not so much.Ordered 4 things and to my surprise they brought them all out within 30sec of each other. Trying very hard to like this place as they push my buttons one by one but, at the end of the day, the food will tell (I am writing this as I eat). The salmon and avocado salad tastes like it was ready already waiting in the fridge. The sauce too sweet and the salmon while edibe, nothing special. The shrimp tempura themselves were ok (overly friedbut the tempura sauce a terribly cheap one.A roll with shrimp and avocado came smeared with ponzu sauce. Not cool. They should mention it. The ginger looks disgusting enough that I didn’t touch it. Goes without saying after all this that the wasabi is fake but figure I should be thorough I mentioning it.All in all adding up to be an I ate but never will again experience.Miso soup also off.I don’t have much experience with Japanese restaurants in Barcelona but surely there must be better. I ended up here because it’s a couple blocks from my hotel (Alma which is a very good hotel by the way).BOTTOM LINE - nothing memorable; look elsewhere for good food. I hear Robata or Parco nearby are good but can’t vouch for them until I try. For something casual with mediocre but edible food it’s ok
I want to report a thing just happened to me yesterday morning and really make me angry with this restaurant named “Elj apo nes”.First, I came to the restaurant named "ELJ APO NES", so we order few things and after the lunch, we paid and left. I was doing the price check with my friend, and we found out that the restaurant had charged us extra money for the total, so we decided to go back the restaurant and want to give a double check. After we walk into the restaurant, I ask one of the waitresses that I had a concerned with the check, so she asks me to find the manager, and things are so rude happened from now. The manager take out the money and throw it to the desk to us and being so rude to me and my friend, also he was saying" ok, I gave you back the money, you can go now."I was like what do you mean about that? He also said," you are the one made a mistake and you should be the one to check the check before you paid, so you should take the mistake." I was so angry about what he said about this, I am the customer and I did not understand the Spanish, so how can I be so sure about every plate? I believe this restaurant is a very good restaurant until today, I think if this restaurant is a professional restaurant, all the waiter, and waitress and also the manager should be very careful when you doing the order and check. This rude manager also said, "everyone made a mistake, so what? You can do whatever you want!" What is so what? Every professional restaurant should never say anything to the customer like this attitude, and he was so rude to me in front of everyone in the restaurant tonight. He said I am being so rude since I walk in, but all the camera in the restaurant and everyone in the restaurant saw me I was very quiet to ask a waiter that I had an issue with my check.Everything happened after this rude manager throws the money to the desk to me, he was very disrespectful to all the women, and I am very angry about this. I spent almost 150 eros, and I do not have to argue for you with only 20 euros, this manager was very unrespectful and rude to me and all my friend and even all the women last tonight
First time here and the value to quality ratio is great. Highly recommended this casual japonese restaurant with cool design and funky music.
Wonderful calm atmosphere, service and food.
Have been there more than 20 times. Food is great. Service is not so nice. If you are not very sensitive - go there! Take Dragon Roll, super fresh salmon or tuna tartar with avocado. Dont take noodles, go for rolls and sushi. No coffee, only green tea, not much deserts.
The bartender was good, made me a great bloody Mary with herradura tequila. The best part of the lunch ended there. Mediocre maki, had cream cheese in it.
My girlfriend and I have come to this place twice and we are really happy with the service and the delicious food.A must to try is the "Guindara no Tataki" which is black cod and the "Skin Vegan".Even though the kitchen is closed after 4 pm one can still order desserts. One drawback is that always exist queue of 20 minutes in average.
Mediocre place with very little authenticity. I understood one guy was japanese. Wait staff lifted her eyebrows at us when serving us, if shed have done that in Japan she would have been fired and marched straight out. Food does the job if you are hankering for Japanese.
Fresh, tasty sushi. Good service & ambiance.
Its a beautiful restaurant physically speaking but in spite of having good sushi I think the size of them is very small in comparison with the price and its not worthy when you are really hungry. For degustation is good 👌🏾
One of the first places in town surfing the Nippomania in food a few years ago. Belonging to a big group, its quality and service have a good standard, but not much personality. Im not a fun of the typical tempura+sushi places, and here the menu choice is not outstanding, but overall its a safe bet. The decor is contemporary, open kitchen, ok but needs refreshing,
