Wonderful octopus Carpaccio and ropa vieja
The rice was great. The fish I had was ok
The best place in Habana.
Great "entrantes" food. Good service from Andy!!! Great place to eat and drink with friends. I recomand!
Great food at a great price 👌
DO NOT GO THERE1. The food isn’t great. Many better places in the area.2. The neon light setting is quite unpleasant.3. Service is bad and at the end the will try to rip off tourists.4. I had to return my pork because it was still raw inside. To be honest I’d give a 0/5 if I could I don’t understand how it has such a rating. The low number of reviews makes me think the asked people for 5 stars
El Idilio is quite the place to go out for lunch or dinner on any given day. Drinks are really good for a great price, tasty food for affordable prices, and the service is really awesome and professional. I do invite you to enjoy El Idilio, a destination you will never regret. Two thumbs up....besides, I support the neighborhood. Cheers!
I love this place. The food is delicious!
The best food in Havana
Really good food and great staff🇨🇺
Super nice and cozy place hided on a small cross section of av presidente. From outside, what calls the attention is the smell, and if you are not paying attention, you can’t tell where it is coming from.Reservations are preferred, although we were lucky to get the only table left unbooked.Food was terrific! We had parrillada, white rice, beans and mixed salad. The house made chimichurri was fabulous and so was pretty much everything else. The beans have different seasoning then what I am used to, it has lots of cumin and bell peppers and you taste them at every bite. Both sausages were great. One was a chorizo and the other is regular spanish. Chorizo was slightly spicy, but not overly powerful. The beef was good, but fades away close to everything else in the plate. Pork and chicken had great flavor of the charcoal. And I almost forgot to mention the tostones with ropa vieja as an entry, just amazing.
Great, delicious food and good service in an original cuban atmosphere!
The food is very good and made with passion. Prices are not low budget but fit the quality of the food and seams to me very fair. I spend in this restaurant many evenings and was never disappointed. The place is just outside and have very nice garden in a nice neighborhood. Well done! Only Heineken Beer sucks... I prefer even the beer from Cuba.
The service was great, people were really nice. I gave it 3 stars because the rice was cold and the filet mignon was not cooked how I asked. For the prices they asked, the food service should’ve been better.
Outstanding food, definitively the best by far we had in our time in Havana (went there twice)... guavas for desert are delicious.
It took a long time to be seated (arrived around 830pmbut I was able to enjoy a few beers while waiting. Cool atmosphere, feels like youre on the patio of a neighbors. Food was good and reasonably priced for tourists. The focaccia was outstanding. So good I preferred it to the lobster. One of the best things Ive had during my week in Cuba.
Favourite restaurant in Havana. Excellent ingredients, great service and prices. My filet mignon was cooked to perfection.
This place is so good, we went here 4 times and it is incredible. Always fresh food, great atmosphere, and I met the cook and owner and they are super kind. What an experience!
Loved it. Tourist food but reasonable and service was great. We loved going to Cuba and meeting people and seeing their culture. Worth the trip if you are ever in this region. The chicken, pineapple and bacon was on point!
Very good restaurant in Vedado. Good quality. One of the best Ropa Vieja in Havana.
Very tasty food above the Cuban average. The atmosphere is nice and peaceful. La ropa vieja is a top meal
Good food and good service at reasonable prices
One of the best spots we ate in this area. Wide selection of food, great atmosphere and great service. The ravioli was yuuuummm
Good food for Cuba, staff not too friendly.
Very good food for a reasonable price. The seafood is delicious and the Cocktails are amazing. It also has a very nice atmosphere. Definitely Worth a visit!
Amazing food and service , very relaxing atmosphere could eat here every day
Good not great. Enjoyed everything. Try the Gaspacho Octopus. Very different. Very good.
If you are in Havana, you should go! It is well located, just a few meters from Avenida de los Presidentes and 5 blocks from Malecón, the wonderful and vibrant sea-side walk where Habaneros go. It is a colorful restaurant and I suggest having a table by the interior patio. Food is fantastic and service very kind, always trying to please the clients. Enjoy it!
Great place and awesome selection. What a delight to go here and eat a normal meal. A privately owned restaurant which a great selection. I had grilled octopus and for dessert home made sweet coconut .
Lovely out door setting, beautiful food presentation, amazing plantain appetizers and tasty ropa vieja
AVOID! I got food poisoning!Nice looking restaurant and popular with tourists but I ordered the meat platter and got ACUTE food poisoning from the pork. Starting 10 hours after eating and without having eaten anything else whatsoever, I had excruciating food poisoning for 3 solid days. They also include service on the bill yet didn’t return our CUC change, meaning we essentially tipped them x2 and they didn’t bring back the change. AVOID!
Verry good food for reasonable ptice!
This place was a very nice place, superb service, huge selections of drinks, seafood was very delicious, our waiter was super friendly. If youre looking for a great time and great food...... Paladar El Idilio is the place!Greerings from Chicago!
Like the name says, its an idyllic place for dinner with family or on a date in the leafy Vedado neighborhood of Havana. Amazing meat dishes, I got a mixed plate with sausage, steak, and ribs. You cant go wrong with anything else on their huge menu, either, but would recommend anything with meat. A bit pricy (in Cuban termsfor dinner, its not like any cheap lunch-oriented counter where you could run off w ropa vieja for less than 1 CUC, but the cost is worth it for special occasions when youre traveling in Cuba. Go hungry to the restaurant, and leave full! The place has an interesting layout in that there are no walls on the sides of the dining area, which is just covered by a roof supported by pillars around the edges of the restaurant building. Nice and breezy if its not raining. Theres like nowhere inside the restaurant to wait though if the line to eat there is long, so people gotta snake around into the street at peak hours just to get tables at Idilio. Theres a reason why they got lines, the foods so darn good!, just its not so nice if its also raining outside when youre waiting in line out there. The waitstaff are perfectly nice and helpful in recommending things to order. Some waiters do speak a tiny bit of English. Would still recommend speaking Spanish w everybody there, though. Overall, one of the best nice dinner places youll get in Vedado :)
This is the best restaurant in Havana! I went here every night I was there because the ropa vieja is the most amazing meal I have ever had - definitely will be making this back in England! The service is exquisite the people are kind and understanding the setting is marvellous and makes you feel like you are in someones home. Plus the wine is yummy too which is a huge plus considering how little wine there is in Havana!! I will miss this when we leave and will be heading there for our last meal before our flight in a few hours!! Dont miss out
Great food and atmosphere. The starter was a little slow coming out but you can plug it with a drink.
Long waiting time, shady neighbourhood, very expensive for service provided
Amazing paela, amazing lobster... I wish we could eat there in the rest of our lives :)
Very goid food an prices. Recommended!
One of my favorite Havana restaurants. Wonderful grilled everything. Only problem is that its all outdoors and can get quite hot in the afternoon.
Delicious food, great vibe, friendly staff and a short drive from the touristy old Havana. Well worth the visit and a genuine highlight of our trip.
Typical Cuban food, but on a high level. Friendly staff.
The best paella Ive had after traveling to over 50 countries!
Great food and good prices.
By far the best food we had during our stay in Havana. The food and service superseded the recommendations that we were given. This is a Paladar which is basically a restaurant in someones home, in this case the back yard which was a relaxing experience like no other. Judging by the line of people that were waiting we knew we were in for an experience. Once again I cant stress enough how amazing the food was. Lastly, the price for the amount food, drinks, and coffee was unbelievable cheap which is definitely not a reflection of the quality food and service we enjoyed during our stay. This will be the first stop when visit Cuba again.
Absolutely the best meal we had in Havana. The food was both delicious and inventive. If you only go to one restaurant in Havana, it should be this one.
One of my fave paladares in Havana.Excellent food, great, friendly service.Ask for the stuffed avocados and ropa vieja.
the wiewing kitchen ,12 tables,elegant typical location accomodation, clean and efficient.,kind waitress,very relaxing moments,good grilled beef and fish langoste,shrimps,filet!!!pina colada,2 cans of beer...30 dollars...all deserved!!january 2014.
