El Higo in Granada

My burger was not grilled well. The beef was still red inside. My stomach made large problems after eating the burger. Had to go to the farmacia... Would not recommend it.

Really cool ambience, love how the patio is tucked away and it feels like a secret hangout! Lots of veg options on the menu. I loved the tapa and my oat burger was excellent too! Highly recommend for a casual, relaxed drink/meal!

We didn’t really understand what it happened in this restaurant. We were really happy to try this place that it looked great when we walked around. We always take positive in each places. The terrace is nice and we feld good. We were polite and smilled. We don’t speak spanish very well but we tried the must as possible but the staff was not very friendly. When we ask for drink, we realise that everyone but us as free tapas for the same drink. When we ordured two burgers, i asked for a glass of wine that will never come. The vegeterian burger was not really good. Mine was good, but costed 50 cent more that indicated on the menu. Maybe there was an understanding, or we did something wrong without notice it. But we felt bad and not really welcoming and finaly we stayed less that a hour.

I came here because of the advertised vegan options. The ambiance and service were nice. However, the food wasnt very good at all. Tried the oat burger and the vegan "chicken" salad. The oat burger was very bland and the salad had a dressing that was extremely sweet and the "chicken" was very odd. Ended up not being able to finish the food because it was that bad.

A secret spot in Granada that is very beautiful. Food and service are great! Perfect for vegans.

Very nice place and the employees where amazing. The food is also amazing but without the employees this would not be so. The place was full on a Saturday at 15h. But they still found room for us. The mutton hamburger I had was excellent.

Lots of vegan options but not very good. The spinach burger was pretty mediocre in flavor. The vegan chicken salad had way too much of a sweet sauce and a weird dehydrated chicken that wasnt bad, just neutral. The squash soup to start was absolutely phenomenal though and it has a very cool vibe so thats why Im giving 3 stars rather than 2. If youre already up there its a decent place.

I ordered a burger but it came luke warm. Service was very slow. We weren’t given a dessert menu but the staff suggested that chocolate brownies are available, so we chose that. After finishing our meal, we waited half an hour for a bill. When we finally saw the bill, we realised the brownie should’ve come with ice cream. Disappointing. We didn’t complain because we had already waited so long for everything and there was also a language barrier.

Very friendly. Shady courtyard with small fountain. Had the cod which was delicious. Good English.

By Spanish standards too expensive and the food is ok. Wine and coffee were good

One of the cutest restaurants in town. The food is beautiful and the vibes is wonderful. Strongly recommend for lazy afternoons or yummy dinners. They even turned on Pink Panther on the projector and played A. Franklin for us.

Very nice quechua/alternative ambiance but seriously without any interest in the plate. Must be frequented by tourist without any culinary culture. Overated.

A wonderful restaurant! The food was amazing and the ambiance was just perfect. The patio area has a gorgeous, sprawling overhead vine that shades the area just right. Combined with the perfect choice of music, my wife and I had an absolutely amazing dinner

Uninspirational food, but hipster friendly athmosphere. Maybe the cook was sick or on a leave, but what we got was the kind of premade food from budget supermarkets students use to survive. Better go for real food nearby!

Lovely quirky bar/restaurant in Albaicin. I loved the decor and it has a lovely inner patio. We had dinner which for me was a very tasty and filling vegan burger. Waiter was really nice too. Would happily return again.

Bar-restaurant placed in the very middle of one of the most emblematic and coolest neighborhouds of Granada, the Albaicín. Very nice people, great food, live music, open air terraza, chill and cozy. What else?! Many options for vegs.

Great comfy place in Granada. We loved the vibe and the music. Service was perfect, everyone was very nice. Would recommend it for having a drink at night.

Great vegan food and great atmosphere

Bit of a hipster hangout. Nice place to sit and drink, tapas were OK. The main meals are not so great, and we thought the staff were friendly but a too busy, bit harassed.

We stumbled into “El Higo” because of their “vegan options” advertisement. But there’s more that makes this restaurant a great place. The staff is very kind and helpful (they even understood my very basic Spanish!), they’ve got a cosy patio... and I really like their Sangria. Would definitely come back on our next trip to Granada.

It would be really helpful to know when these guys are open. I passed by so many times between Sunday morning and Tuesday lunch time, and I found them open just on Sunday afternoon. The food is tasty, the wine offer can be better, the space is really nice.

Lovely terrace and good food!

This is a lovely and cosy bar located in the heart of Albayzin. They use to do cinema on Sunday evenings. The food is great and the staff is really friendly. The outdoor area is amazing for a summer night or a sunny afternoon! Highly recommended!!❤️

Great find in Albaicin, friendly staff and fun vibe. Arrived randomly on a night with flamenco/comedy and had a blast. Had plenty of tapas plus a delicious lamb burger.

The atmosphere is really lovely here. They host local artists, musicians...but the waitresses are very cold, even rude. And the menu is very small. They have one vegetarian meal, a veggie burger and I personally didnt like it at all. I think this place is really sweet to have a drink and listen to music and enjoy the atmosphere but not to have dinnner.

Completely chilled cafe in a beautiful courtyard. Very laid back with cheap prices, friendly staff and great range of tapas. Lots of events going on. Interesting art work on the walls. Great tartes (cakes).

Hidden gem in the Albayzín neighborhood. Literally, its hidden off a side street which is really neat! Went here for some drinks and tapas and it was perfect. What I loved most was that it appeared to be a local place and I think the best way to travel and immerse yourself in the culture is to go to local places.

If you are in Granada, better yet, in the Albayzin, then make a scheduled stop to El Higo for some amazing food and drink. Try to stop when they are having a jam session night, or some other music night. Its a great atmosphere and wonderfully tucked away. If you arent looking closely you could even miss it. Especially since the Albayzin was engineered by the Nasrids / Moors to be a maze if the city was ever invaded. Go to El Higo. Amazing.

excellent food, nice atmosphere good wine and not expensive. The smoked fish salad and tuna appetizer were fantastic. My husband had a burger and it was also excellent.

You can get drinks here and free tapas with an alcoholic drink order. You can order from their dinner menu at 7:30pm (19:30but not before. The people are very nice and they play old silent movies with fun music in the background. If you are there before dinner then you can get toast which are large portions. Its essentially a half toasted baguette with a topping. All the food was great, been there twice already.

The beer was accompanied with an array of gorgeous tapas and the live music really set the an atmosphere which really impressed. The food off the main menu was delicious too. A hidden gem in the labyrinth of alleys

Spacious, with lovely green vines growing over Tn seating area outside, friendly staff, great music, family friendly. Unpretentious. And the food portions are very good for what you pay. Food is served to share. Healthy dishes. Taste good. Wine here is cheaper than juice and really delicious. Free tapas comes with the drink.
