El Germen in Sucre

Went for the lunch option 25 bolivianos for drink, really good sopa de mani, main dish and desert. I liked it a lot.

Had a lovely evening here, the waitress was so kind and attentive. Unique and varied menu at good prices, loved the coca leaf garlic bread!!

Restaurant typique végétarien où les boliviens viennent manger. Menu le midi pour seulement 3€ avec une soupe, un plat, un dessert et une boisson et tout était délicieux!

Très déçus par ce restaurant bien noté et conseillé dans le guide du routard. Nous voulions dîner des ravioles aux asperges avec un verre de vin, mais ils navaient ni lun ni lautre. Ok. On se rabat sur leur spécialité "lasagnes el Germen", aux légumes. Après 40min dattente, on reçoit nos lasagnes, hyper salées car très chargées en fromage (écoeurant... et on cherche encore les légumes ! On nest pas sûrs davoir bien compris lexcuse (plus de légumes ? Ou bien le cuisinier a oublié de les mettre 🤔?). Heureusement nous navons payé quun plat sur les 2.

Great food for the price (25BOB June 2022 - menu del día).Initially I wasnt so impressed (because of the dark interior mainlybut El Germen truly is a great place to enjoy a good lunch that will fill you up, and taste good! Having now eaten at El Germen a handful of times, and tried other restaurants, El Germen is really a cute restaurant with a very community vibe during lunch hour (when it gets fairly busy). Dont be afraid to ask someone if they dont mind you sitting next to them though, it happened a couple of times to me and is nice to eat that way! 😊 Recommend!

Hemos comido vegetariano casi siempre acá, también por el almuerzo! Parecía un poco caro al empiezo, pero todo fue super rico y sabroso! Croquetas de papas, crema de maní y falafel fueron especiales! Lugar con WiFi muy bueno! Además, tiene opciones no-veggy!

Came here today at 4, since google said they were open. The woman told us they would open at 6 for dinner. We went back at 7, and the restaurant was closed. Just a heads up that you can not rely on opening times unfortunately.

Comida vegetariana sencilla pero con buen sabor y variada. Tienen almuerzos completos, platos a la carta y pasteleria europea de buena calidad, más específicamente alemana. El lugar es pequeño pero acogedor. La atención es aceptable.

el lugar es cómodo confortable, la atención siempre es con una sonrisa. la comida es estupenda San y nutritiva perfectamente balanceada ya que te sirven dependiendo del plato si viene con arroz o ensalada o algún otro tipo de acompañamiento. es ideal para pasarla entre amigos y con la familia. el brownie es lo más rico que puedan probar. se los recomiendo por una comida sana y balanceada. y por supuesto vegetariana o vegana

Vegetarian restaurant that offers a lunch menu of the day and a la carte options for lunch and dinner. Staff was mostly invisible during my visit and the place was to dark to read the menu without the torch of my phone. Food was okay.Added a star after a delicious lunch. So that would be 5 for lunch and 3 for dinner.

Great ambiance... Which is a rarity. Definitely a great place to chill out, get some tasty food, and drink some good coffee.

We ate here twice while in Sucre and had great vegetarian food both times (would highly recommend the lasagne!).

Really the Best place for fresh, healthy, vegetarian food in Sucre. We went several times everything we had was delicious. Also the service was extremly friendly and quick. And they have several yummy vegan options. Good balance of national and international dishes. We totally recommand El Germen 😀

Great veggie restaurant.The service is nice even if you can wait for a long time your dish.The dishes are really well served and they are also really tasty.The price are okay for the quality (upper range of a backpackers budget).A dish is between 40 and 50 BOB (cv. 6 and 8 USD).We really loved the falafel and the lasagna.

Most of the menu is vegetarian. I’ve been here many times and even when I ordered things that I was not sure I would like they were amazing. I highly recommend that you come and eat something.

I ordered a lentils burger with cooked potatoes, the taste and portion was really good! I would definitely come back to have the same burger again. Try the Quinua beer! :)

Las chicas que atienden son muy agradables y educadas. Tienen un menu de 12-14h por 25 bob que incluye sopa, segundo (a elegir vegetariano o veganorefresco y postre (muy rico). Fui tambien un dia por la noche y me comi una hamburguesa de lentejas buenisima. Servicio rapido. Sitio agradable. Me gustó mucho!

Excelentes todos los platos que pedimos. Fuimos más de una vez durante nuestra estadía en Sucre. La atención muy cordial y el precio es acorde a la calidad. Recomendado como un lugar ameno para leer, conversar y hacer sobremesa tranquila.

We asked for paper towels to clean our table (ourselvesbecause it was very dirty. There was obviously a translation confusion and she ended up bringin back a fizzy drink we didnt want instead. We politely tried to explain that we didnt want it but she cut it out saying that it was what we ordered. We didnt insist and paid for it. Money I dont mind, but poor manners I do. We came several times before because the food is good, but are not going back.

Nice staff, close to the main square, good wifi. Unfortunately vegan options are quite limited (lots for vegetariansbut the food came out hot, well prepared and it was an enormous portion (I felt bad that I couldnt finish it!). Could easily share one dish between two people if youre on a really tight budget.I agree with other reviews that flavour was a bit bland but you get given vinegar/salt/pepper/oil/a little dish of chili sauce so its definitely possible to season to your liking, and not really a problem.

Expensive and get this, not one single vegetable dish that doesn’t contain gluten, soy or carbs.

Ordered our set lunch menu, the soup and dry hunk of bread came, the soup was so bland, really nothing special. We were then completely forgotten about and by the time it was 45 minutes later and the mains still hadnt come we left! ( only 1/4 of the resturant was full, if it was full and busy maybe we would have been more empathetic)

Really nice Restaurant with a great variety of vegetarian meals. The Staff was really friendly and the food came very fast. The brownie was great and a big plus they dont sell Nestle, Cola or Pepsi Products!!!

Service was incredibly slow - food took a very long time to come out. My partners food came out so long before mine that it was cold when we started eating.When we eventually got our food, both my dish (chicken curryand my partners (lentil burgerhad a long dark hair in it. We also ordered a mixed salad but this came out after we had both finished eating our mains.The chicken curry tasted bland and generic but the lentil burger was OK. WiFi was OK.

Good options for vegetarians. Best burger I’ve had in Sucre. The lentil and soy burgers are really awesome and only 12. A side of hand cut chips is only 10 and they’re reallllyyyy good. Yummmm

Nice to have veggie options in Bolivia. The food was OK. The service was good. Strong wifi.

Dishes are big and delicious. The staff is very nice. All meals start with bread accompanied by a spicy ají sauce. The menu del dia which changes daily consists of a vegetable soup, two main dishes to choose from (one vegan), juice, and a desert (24 Bs.). One of my juices was with sesame seeds. Que rico :From the menu I tried Falafel with rice, peanut sauce, and cooked vegetables (40 Bs.). Such crispy falafels and tasty peanut sauce. The curry with vegetables is another vegan option from the menu. I ate there three times during my stay in Sucre and hope to go back one day.

Menu of the day was always sold out when we visited. The food we had though was good (big portions). Coffee was good. Dark and dingy room. Friendly staff.

Small restaurant in town with a cheap "menu del día" (24 BOB). It offers a excellent vegetarian cuisine, a WiFi with decent speed and clean toilets.Everything is made out of fresh ingredients.There is also a breakfast from 8AM which is very good as well.
