El Fogón de Galicia in Granada

Food & service were ok, tho we only ordered Paella, which was too much for us, you have to order minimum good for 2 persons, (good for a group,but not for a couple), no option for us to try other food in the menu...unless one is big eater ;Paella--salty and too wet for my taste. Nothing really special to write home about.

After order, Staff give Tapas.. delicious...

The staff SO welcoming. The food yum. We got the fried peppers (not spicy at all), the fried baby squid and the sea food paella which was really good a must if u want to try paella.

This was lovely, the waiter was such a lovely guy, he gave us a few extra plates and said that for you,. Such a lovely thing to do, oh and at 11 Euro 90, fixed price we loved it. So many eating houses here but pleased to have found one that was friendly, great food and so good to be in.Excellent!

I am not sure why/how this place has such a high rating .. the food at best is OK, over priced and slow service... There are much better options in the city to name a couple: bar provincias, Rincon de rodri, finally around the corner you have Los Diamantes

We liked gaspacho soup/salad. Very good Paella, maybe a bit on a salty side for my taste. Prices got significnantly higher in the last months. Adding photo of the current menu (mid september 2022).

This got 4 stars as the waiter we had was fantastic. Super friendly and helpful and really made the night a nice dining experience. I was a bit disappointed with the food however. It was nice enough but nothing special at all - a 3 stars about. My paella was a bit stodgy and overcooked. Shame as it’s a nice little place

Very nice restaurant in the city center of Granada. The service is excellent, they are always checking on you how the food is and they give some recommendations even tapas in between while waiting for the food to come. The food is delicious, we ordered the Caesar Salad and the Seafood Paella, in between they gave us some fried fish so that the wait for the Paella became shorter. Excellent restaurant and even better service!

We are a group of five and ordered six dishes. All of them are tasteful. The best is the lobster 🥘 - its delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant.

Good place to start your tapas tour if you are in this area as it can get quite full during peak hour. We wanted to come here the day before but it was full so came the next day and there were a bunch of tables reserved. We sat by the bar (which is what you should do unless you plan on having dinner). Good tapas with each drink and nice spot to feel like a local. Definitely recommend if you are in the street to stop by for a quick drink and tapa. Very good service as well.

Friendly staff who was very helpful and accommodating. Food was good, and generous portions. For appetisers they served us some form of fried fish pieces, they were lovely. Main courses were good.

Super slow service, they ran out of beef completely and the fried fish they served was a soggy, cold mess. Many other decent places out there to leave your money.

The food was amazing everything we tried did not disappoint us. The portions are very generous and with each drink we was served they gave us a delicious free tapa. I would really recommend this restaurant whilst visiting Granada. Our waiter Carlos was a great help with picking dishes and the service was perfect 👌🏻.

A fantastic restaurant. Excellent service. Fast and attentive. Pepino was quick to advise. Delicious Galician seafood and stews. Bacalao with red pepper sauce was beyond delicious. Cheesecake was homemade. Prices were very fair. Not to be missed!

This place was great! Our server Carlos was wonderdul and very attentive! The food was delicious and there were so many complimentary dishes! Me and my family shared mixed paella, alongside having octopus and tenderloin pork which was all so delicious. Even better, it was a 2 min walk from our apartment!If you want good food at a great price then I highly recommend this place!

Only if you love octopus, amazing! And their server was amazing too! Saw some “Americans” that ordered it and had no idea what to do with it. ONLY IF UOU LIKE OCTOPUS as I mentioned!

The service here was excellent. I stopped in long enough to drink about 5 beers, they kept bringing me samples of food with each beer. I had prawns, anchovies, olives, and multiple kinds of fish. My bill was something like 9 Euros (I tipped heavily because otherwise I would have felt guilty about eating all that food).

This restaurant is at one end of a street with lots of restaurants. We were looking for some restaurant with good seafood and this restaurant satisfied us. The jumbo prawns and the fried seafood was good but nothing extraordinary. But the cod with salsa was very delicious. Like other restaurants in Granada they give you free tapas with every order of drink.

Calle Navas is full of places to pick from. We tried Fogon de Galicia and were not disappointed. With a decent sized menu, everyone in your group is sure to find something. Great tapas , friendly service and relaxing atmosphere made for a great meal.

A great bar with really friendly staff, amazing tapas and fabulous brandy measures 😊. We used this bad as our "local" because it was so good.
