Overpriced, food is not properly cooked, it will be mandatory to pay for their band

I guss everyone got trapped here after a ride through Havana in classic car.Food was ok but overpriced not for the Cuban standards

Tourist trap!Unfortunately, we did not have a choice and had to eat here (even though I already saw from far away that it is a tourist trap). The prices are really insane, I dont even have the words for how much we felt like a moneybank for them. And the quality for e.g. the chicken is not good for 20 Dollars! The drivers get the provisions for taking the tourists there even if they dont want to. I felt very very unconfortable!

A very pretty restaurant with chickens walking around! This restaurant was recommended by our tour guide. Although it was pretty and the service was good, the food was not very good. The prices were very high. Meals were around 20.00 US for lunch. Our lunch for two meals, 2 mojitos and 1 beer was 85 Canadian. I believe the tour guides get kick back for recommending (they ate in a different part of restaurant so maybe free), I don’t care about that but wish the food was better

This is a great event which takes place at 9pm every night, on a height over the bay. The cannon is fired and some theatrics with people dressed up as Brits. Yes, the Brits were in Cuba too. There are flaming torches and tramping around in military uniforms and the climax of the firing of the cannon with a big bang.It is worth it to arrive about 8.15, get a good spot and just sit and admire the panoramic view of the city across the bay while waiting for the theatrics and the shot. The cannon is situated in a big military fort (El Morroand the walls are a good vantage point. There is a small entrance fee.The people of Havana set their watches by the cannon at 9pm every evening, which someone told me signalled a curfew time for the people of the city. It all has to do with the Spanish and the Brits fighting over Cuba...You can get there by taxi from the city. It is situated just the other side of the bay tunnel and you can make a night of it by continuing to the nearby restaurant and bar. Dont forget to organise your transport back when you arrive, unless you are ready for a long walk down to the road to catch a bus. Well worth doing.

Food is ok, but they tried to rip me off with almost 50 euros!!! They cameWith the check and it had an amount in pesos and another amount in USA dollars, told me USA and Euros have the same value so I decided to pay in euros, the total in euros or usa when I did the math was a bit off so when I told the waitress, she did that the cashier might have made a mistake charging us un Canadian dollars that are less than USA and Euros currency. BEWARE!!!!

This place is a complete rip off. They price over 20 usd/eur for just a plate of unseasoned food. The funny chickens walking around are about the only positive thing here..

Overpriced for what you get. They will also bring you water but then charge you for it. Food wasn’t terrible but definitely not worth the prices. I think all the taxi drivers take their customers here. For 2 people it cost 50$ CAD for 2 drinks and two appetizers and we later found out they also charged us for the water (we didn’t ask for water - they just brought, should have know betteralso they didn’t put alcohol in the one drink and when trying to dispute thy with them they essentially said to bad so sad.They also add an automatic 10% surcharge - i would honestly tell your driver no thank you. We ate later at iberstar parque central the food was amazing, good portion size, much better value for money and it cost the same price as this place.Last 2 food photos are at parque central in Havana (white plates with orange stripe, fish and chicken)There will also be a lady coming around asking you for money for the band.All around rip off

Seems to be a rip off place! The prices are extremely high for Cuba (almost double of the other already expensive touristic places in Havana). The food is not bad though! Also the live music is good. Overall, would not recommend this place!

Picked Up Salmonella .... Restaurant food appeared good but Chickens and Pigs roaming the space may have contributed to the bacteria. Wait staff were petting the pigs ... were hands washed? We had to have picked it up here as we were all sick before returning to the hotel that afternoon... Do not recommend!

A bit of a hidden place but very nice to visit and with funny chickens walking around! They also had live music and the overall decorations and semi outside seating was great. I didnt feel so well that day so I cant rate the food, but it looked good.

Had the grilled fish fillet which was great. The pinea colada was ok. Nothing special.Shrimp with tomato sause was also tasty.The chickens and roosters were walking around freely...The music band was playing live...The prices of main coarse were around 19 to 22 USD, the service charge of 10% was added to the bill.

Service was good, but food could’ve been much better. Prices were in US dollars so it cost four of us, $50 CAD each, for an appetizer and main course. We got a couple appetizers, half of which didn’t show up.It may be a nice tourist area for families, but I would avoid it as it was sold to us as “authentic”, but it simply general food you can find in resorts.

Good food and surroundings but a little overpriced for what you get.

Took a tour to Habana and all I can say is we were took to this place for lunch not asked to go anywhere else. It is somewhere he has took people for the last 7 years and Im sure he get a cut of the action . The service was amazing the food very tasty but no meal for 5 people in Cuba is worth 225 cdn before tip. We had 3 plates of chicken 1 shrimp and 1 lobster tail 4 cokes and 1 sprite. 4 shots of liquor.

What a great little spot, you wiyld never guess from the front. Fantastic food and polite staff, will frequent again.

The food was amazing. Best food we had in Havana. I had baked fish, we also had fried fish and a great beef dish. $16-$18 per entree and huge portions with rice and beans.The sangria was really good. There was nice music playing. The air is fresh but covered. The bathrooms nice and attended. Reservations are suggested. There are white fluffy chickens and peacocks about as well. They didnt bothere us or our meal.We will definitely be back.

I love this place. Nice atmosphere and vibe. They have turkeys, chicken, peacocks walking around, but I did not see them coming near the customers eating. The seafood platter for two was excellent, and I am not a big seafood person. It was an oasis to eat here after doing some tours on the other side of the bay from Havana in the heat.

After not having a good meal to eat, this place was amazing and not too expensive!

Really great food you do pay Canadian prices for the food although thb e drinks are cheap. Its a side of Cuba mostly for tourists to attract the CUC. They do take Visa which was interesting. Great service and nice atmosphere.

Authentic Cuban cuisine for 16 CUC per entree gets you fish/meat, rice & beans, and some lettuce and tomato. Most drinks are 2.50. Live music playing all day. Tourist trap?

A really good place to eat. Great portions, and the furry chicken with its babies was a source of humor. The lamb was delicious.It seems to be the place all the private tour drivers take their clients..as it went from empty to full in 15 minutes. And the drivers would go to another area.We ran into a feathered thief. A little sparrow stole rice right off our plate,.

Lots of tourists along with some locals. From the outside this place looks like any other home in the neighborhood, but the backyard holds an oasis filled with good food and a variety of chickens, white pigeons and turtles. The service was good. The mojito I had was well served with just the right amount of alcohol. The tostones rellenos Were a little different from other Ive had. They were topped with a mayonnaise and ham mixture. They were good, but not a huge fan of mayo. The masas de cerdo (fried porkwere seasoned well. As accustomed in all Cuban restaurants, entrees are served with a bowl of white rice, black beans and moros y cristianos (rice and beans mixture). For dessert we got the flan. Do yourself a favor and get the flan. It had a rich flavor and great texture. Truly great. If you make a reservation you can have dinner here and then head over to the Cañonazo for the 9 oclock firing of the cannon.

Decent place, good food, good portions, friendly staff, nice music. A little overpriced, main dishes start at 12 CUC, drinks are 3-4 CUC.

The food is below average here, everything seems a little overpriced but this is probably one of the very few restaurants that offer 2-3 vegetarian options on their menu.

Directed here by our tour guide. Food was excellent and a nice local experience. A little pricey, but we split an entree and a few appetizers and had plenty for 3 of us.

Incredibly busy. The decor is of a covered outside garden. All the local guides and taxi drivers take their tourists here for lunch. Food is generous and fairly priced and reasonable quality. Enjoyable local restaurant.

This was the first restaurant I visited in Cuba and I was not impressed. Very over priced to be a Cuban restaurant and the food was mediocre. No one in my party of 5 was satisfied with the food.

Hidden gem. A must visit for me every time I am in the western half of Cuba. Ambiance and food is great!!!Get ready to pay North American prices $$$ but well worth it for the experience.

This restaurant was expensive but Food wasnt good and service was the slowest and the worst Ive seen in my entire life ! Your tour guide will probably want to take to that place since I saw only tourists inside of it. I strongly advise you dont go for it !

Best food we had on our stay in Havana. The fish was really fresh. The mojitos were really refreshing. If you can find this place, do yourself a favor & stop in.

Hidden little gem for Cuban food. Freshest seafood and beautiful ambiance. We had our lunch with the sound of the rain and beautiful music played by the band. Service was excellent. A must visit for a day in Havana.

We had a pretty bland garlic fish fillet for 14 CUC ($15). The hygiene was good and there arent many good restaurants in that area, and it was suggested by our guides.

This place has a very friendly staff and wonderful food. It is just 5 minutes to the center of the city and 2 minutes from one of the most historical places of Havana. So, I really recommend this place to enjoy. Go there, You will have no regrets!

Food ok nice atmosphere. Really fresh chicken : had lobster. Outdoor seating just outside fort mostly tourists 45cucs for lunch for 2. Where the heck is toilet seat for mens bathroom?

A real gem hidden away behind a garden gate. Good, simple food done well. If youre anywhere near the Fort this place is a must for lunch
