El Café de Acá - Paraguayan restaurant in Caacupe, Paraguay
One of the best little coffee shops in ASU. It just keeps getting better and better.
Food looked nice and was quite tasty. But Ive been wondering ever since visiting Uruguay and Paraguay why even Cafés cant seem to serve a somewhat tasty coffee 😁. Mate tea saved our day though and the 1 hour wait Was nicely spent in the picturesque terrace
Amazing. One of the best restaurants in all Asunción. Must visit!!
Great menu and even greater ambience! Highly recommend!
Nice off the main road café bakery.
Great introduction to Terere if you dont have your own thermos yet. Food is delicious, the outdoor seating area is very relaxing (with birds singing and the smell of street orangesand the staff is nice. You may want to make a reservation during rush hours.
great selection of cocktails, coffees, and mate drinks (ie terere). great ambiance, love the late hours -> perfect place to catch up on work or meet up w/ people.
I apologise in my county you Drink Red Eine at a decent Temperatur. Sorry For complaining. Food...Service and everything was awesome
Very nice place and amazing environment. Its definitely worth any penny.
Great location and ambience.
Really cosy café with tasty lemonade and Paraguayan snacks.
This place has wonderful food and a beautiful atmosphere.
Delicious food, best pancakes I ever had and dony even get me started with their cocido, better than Chipa Maria Anas. Great service, great staff and beautiful ambient. You can tell every detail of this place was made with love.10/10 Recommended for breakfast.
Beautiful space with great food. Slow service but theyre busy and very kind. Id return!
Awesome. Great ambience, killer service, and a huge menu with plenty of Paraguayan favorites. Great juices as well!
A great local coffee shop to enjoy traditional Paraguayan snacks and drinks! Excellent quality of food and great service. It tends to get very busy on weekends and sometimes it is difficult to park.
Their cocido is just smooth and perfect to start the day, the M’beju Roquefort was just so good I couldn’t believe it.The 4 stars is only due to their service being a bit on the slow side, I was there at a time that it wasn’t full or half and it took like 20 to get my order even the cocido.
My husband and I wanted to have a nice breakfast today. But unfortunately everything went wrong and they did not even apologize for their mistakes. First of all the 2 waitresses said that inside all the tables were full, so we sat at the entrance outside. But for all the other couples who came later, they offered places inside after waiting a bit.My husband waited like over 30 min for his coffee, my juice was served. We has to remind the waitress. When we ordered our breakfast we showed in the menu to the waitress what we order, just in case and we definitely said “sin jamon”. After approx 45 min the breakfast was served, but we definitely did not order a Sandwich with Bacon :-/. We ordered the Paraguay Brunch “sin jamon”. After I ate my breakfast like 40 min later again we canceled the breakfast for my husband but suddenly they could serve the Paraguay brunch BUT with bacon. We paid everything but my husband could not eat anything and he left the full plate there. It’s sad that they could not even apologize.Sorry but I cannot recommend that Café at all.
If you are trying to try some really good traditional Paraguayan snacks this is a good place
A nice lively place with good caffe, deserts and some simple dishes. Popular both among locals and expats.
Absolutely fantastic cafe and restaurant, you shouldn’t miss it. Everything was delicious, which will make your decision on what to order really tough. The terere, a typical Paraguayan drink, was refreshing, and the mate dulce was a treat. The espresso was also great. The best thing we ate was the Mandi’o Chyryry. Our server was super friendly knowledgeable about the entire menu!
Nice place to hang out and chill, however its very overrated, the food is average and their coffee isnt really good, I asked for a latte frappe and the waiter was like we cant do it,
Great service, great food! Waiters speak English. Portions are big and the price is reasonable. One of the few rare finds in Asunción.
Food is delicious and great service. The garden in the back is really nice as well.
Adorable location with wifi and typical Paraguayan dishes. Waffle with seasonal fruit was amazing. Service was slow which caused the loss of a star. Suggest you check out the menu prior to going and order quickly. On the positive side great place to linger.
This is one of the places that vibes with Paraguayan enthusiasm. It used to be great, nevertheless, probably because of the pandemic, the offer on the menu was reduced.I can no longer use the great dishes I had before, which were delicious! But the last time I went, I asked for a Club Sandwich and it wasnt even good. How can you fail on making a sandwich?Im giving four 🌟 for what it used to be and maybe because of the interesting decorations, but if I judged by my las visit, Id give it a three.
Amazing food and a beautiful scenery! I recommend the Paraguayan breakfast and the krispy chicken sandwich with hot sauce.
Amazing food, ambiance is delightful. Although it can be expensive it definitely worth it.
I was giving a non desearable table to seat because I was told on the phone that was no need to reserved a table. The waiter did changes in my order without asking me.Food is average.Service is ok.
Found this beautiful place accidentally and totally fell in love the moment I entered. On a rainy day, what better than a perfect Latte (its actually the best I had so far in Asunciónand a delicious Quinoa salad.Spread the word, its a must visit coffee place.Wondering how It Will be On a sunny day in the garden. We cant wait. Thanks for the lovely service.⭐️I would give you 10 stars⭐️
Great place for corporative meetings or a friends chat. Nice atmosphere, lots of plants, excellent customer service, and delicious food. Vegetarian, vegan and allergic friendly. Medium-high prices, but worthy. There is a max of 5 people per table policy now.
The food and atmosphere are awesome here, so it’s worth going to. The service is lacking, though, in that they get too busy and sometimes you have to wait a very long time to order, long time for food, chase down a waiter if you need a drink refill or something more to order, and a long time for your bill to come. Additionally, I hate it when I order a coffee or another beverage and they wait until literally the entire order (food, etc.is ready before bringing out any coffee or juices. This happens all the time here. Having a drink while you wait for everything else to come out would make everyone happier!
The food is good and the prices are reasonable. Its a good place to bring people who are visiting Paraguay and want to try some typical local food. The place is really pretty, the veranda is full of plants and on the inside everything is nicely decorated. The only downside is that the service is usually quite slow because theyre almost always packed with people and the kitchen cant keep up with the demand, so I recommend to only come here during times when not many people are ordering food.
Very nice comfortable cosy and family place with lots of plants and flowers. Try the chipa and mbaut.
A rather quaint cafe to grab a bite or lunch. The food is tasty and filling, however the customer service is biased towards pleasing foreigners over locals. This was a great shame as I even went to eat lunch with my Paraguayan friends and they received poor service yet treated me well.
Its one of the best.Foods amazing, lots of traditional paraguayan stuff, and everything is really well done. The cafe is cozy and has a very creative setting.
Great food but waitress took 40 min to bring me my bill.
Great food and drinks. Perfect place to take foreigners and make them taste some national foods. There is not a lot of space though, which means often full and no privacy.
I always take my foreigner friends here, its a great place to have a meal, every food option that they have is great!! Foreigners can try some traditional food and have an amazing experience whilst doing it. My only complaint is that they dont have a menu in english, trying to translate everything is kind of tiring.
This cafe is a hidden gem, but very well patronized. Full, because its food and ambiance means people keep coming back! We were a party of 6, and all our food was delicious, the menu has a great variety, far more than most places in Paraguay. The place is quite small, but they have maximized their space, indoors and outdoors. Very nice to have a place to meet with friends without a TV blasting in every direction.
It is very good place but too many tables inside with almost no privacy. The menu has many good options for all kind of taste. Today the service was slow.
A lot of varieties!!! Great place to have a good talk with a friend! Loved this place and the coffee is really good! Will come back... inexpensive, so i think i go by 5 stars to this place and its just wonderfull 😍 decorations are perfect and all the cakes are great!! And don’t make me start with the sandwiches and burgers!! The place is so clean and tidy!!
I really loved this restaurant. The dulce de leche and coffee and vanilla milkshakes were delicious. Also the mexican paila was delicious. I tried the mbeju and mandio chyriry, which were really good, not compared to grandmas of course. ;Best home/french fries Ive tasted, ever. The service was okay but slow. The last time we went we were a party of 13 and as much as they tried to accommodate us, service was slow and unorganized. It took almost two hours for our food to arrive. Apart from that, food was pretty consistent in taste. Great brunch restaurant.
Nice place ,decoration and service is very good nice place to spend time with your friends
I have eaten here many times, consistently excellent service!
Local favorite with a relaxed and natural atmosphere. Inside and outside tables, a wide variety of food choices for breakfast, brunch and lite lunch. Tereré, yerba mate, local coffees and natural juices.
I love this place. Wonderful food and a fun atmosphere. The chocolate milkshakes are to die for, and the grilled cheese sandwich was amazing. The menu definitely offers a wide variety of food, from American comfort foods to Paraguayan classics, and mixed drinks.
One of the most nice cafés Ive ever been to. Very authentic paraguayan food, Mbeyú, Chipa guazú and amazing Mate Cocido. Has a nostalgic vibe, still is a delightful experience. Is visited by locals, families and its on a very pretty neighbourhood. Dont miss it.
The best thing about this place is the atmosphere super cosy inside and a chill patio out back. Food is decent, their pastries and sweets are always fresh! Only drawback is that the service is super inconsistent- be prepared to have to tackle your waiter down if you want to be served in a timely manner!
Every first taste was amazing! Enough to fill a hungry person all thr way pas full. The drink was also amazing. They were attentive and i had no problem ordering, even with the little spanish i know.
