Wonderful food and an amazing atmosphere!!! So pretty!!! 😍
Server was horrible she was completely lost I have to ask 4 times for a beer. Food was OK wait and wait and place wasnt even busy. I recommend for the food but get ready to wait for a lost server.
MoreThe place have potential but needs attractive music, better signage, Food was just okay.
MoreGot to try the asopao 7 potencias it was awesome and great service
Ok, food. Nice view of the sea in Peñuelas
Great food and desserts. Highly recommend.
I love this restaurant! Excellent view and excellent food
It was a wonderful experience a little overpriced but great views and people made for a beautiful time
MoreThe food was ok, not anything special. But the waiter was poor. He did not return to check on our drinks or anything else. When we did flag him down to bring a spoon for the soup he forgot and didnt return for many minutes. Then when the check came, it already had a 20% tip added for just two people! No, I wont be returning to this place.
MoreIts a wide backsea post open place, great breeze. The food was delicious. I had a very tender Octopus dish with garlic sauce and the mofongo. Delisioso! A crab paid us a visit. There was only one waiter working pleasantly quick and attentive. I enjoy my meal.
MoreThe place has a very nice view. Its pretty and relaxing. The cleaning part was 2 out of 10.....The kitchen, bathrooms, bars, etc were not very clean. The food was 50/50 my mofongo did not taste good but my girlfriend mofongo she like it a lot. She also got a Empanadilla stuffed with lobster and shed said that tasted very good. The place was literally with 2 tables only with people and the servers took a lot of time to come and they pass by to check on us 2 times only. We went directly to the cash register to pay since they did not come to the table. Overall if you want to relax and have a nice view with some drinks and appetizers this is the place. But if you want to have a good dinner I do not recommend this place.
MorePlace was not crowded. Not all items in the menu available. Food was not exceptional. In the water , good view.
MoreThe boquemar restaurant is very romantic atmosphere quite the food is excellent. Fast service.
MoreA place to go and have a beer and eat a good fish. a humble place but with the sea around it.
MoreService was very poor orders taken took for ever to come to thee table the server took our order .20 to .30 minutes passed and she didnt come back to ask if we needed anything else my wife order a peachknobs n coconut drink and they couldnt even make a drink was horrible my wife couldnt drink it over all service was very very bad food was good but service horrible
MoreGreat food, wonderful service, sitting right on the water. Wouldnt dream of a trip to Puerto Rico without a visit to El Boquemar. Completely worth the drive from San Juan
MorePlaces has a great view, but food wasnt. Frozen shrimps, frozen octopus. Ice tasted nasty and For the prize they charge for plate you well expect some freshness. Bartender went to the bathroom didnt wash his hands and got back to the bar. I give it 2 stars because of the view and nothing else.
MoreAsk for fresh seafood available for the day, family restaurant, balcony with sea air ventilation and panoramic view.
MoreFood was good and very friendly service, a bit pricey.
It is not a 4, but its location on a semi sunny afternoon is a very, very nice one. Service crazy, but good for a drink and a lobster on garlic sauce with tostones is ok
MoreExcellent food. Service could improve some. A real relaxing atmosphere over the water tables. Recommended.
MoreEmpty and full of mosquitos. We got a cold beer but didnt stay for this reason.
Food was great. Well priced. Service was very good. Place was well sanitized and health guidelines were followed.
MoreExcellent service and the food was great!A breath taking view of the Caribbean sea!
MoreGreat food and great view.
When we got there, only a few tables had chairs. We got to the table, and it was filthy. As we were waiting and ordering, a table of 7 persons got up and left without ordering. As we ordered, they did not have either of the 3 items that we wanted, and no diet sodas. With the lack of cleanliness, and things that we wanted, we left without eating.
MoreBeautiful views, mosquitos really bad, steak was not fit to eat yet neat environment with fish in center actually swimming and the waiters are very proud they add 20% for tip on check...once was good for me.
MoreVery quaint, beautiful setting. Food and drinks were good.
Good sea food. Ocean front. Relaxing.
Very good lobster mofongo.
The waiting time from when you order to when you get your food it surpasses the 2 hours mark. To be precise we oder at 1:18 pm and it is 3:28 and we just got our food . The food servings arent worth the price. Rather go somewhere else next time. Do not recommend. The waiter rushes you to order and takes for ever to give you the food. The place isnt packed for it to take so long .
MoreI had to wait a lot of time for the food. Anyways the food was great! I had a Beefsteak de Lomillo and some Rice and Beans. It was delicious and every plate in the table was very well served. This part I will say it in spanish "HAY UN PAJARO EN LA BOCINA QUE NO SIRVE".
MoreThe food was amazing. It is a beautiful setting to eat lunch. The waiter spoke no English, so he went to get someone who could. And he was so helpful- he sat with us and told us all of their specials. He talked of the catch of the day- that was caught fresh that morning. The outside deck is open in the middle and there are these giant fish that swim around. Incredible to watch. Beer was so cold, it had ice in it!!!
MoreWe didnt think the service was as bad as some of the reviews. It didnt take long to get our food and the server was very nice. But, we were one of only two tables there at sunset. So I wonder if its not that popular of a restaurant anymore? I asked for a vegetarian mofongo (mofongo stuffed with veggiesbut they only had lettuce and tomatoes. Anyway, I had plain mofongo with lettuce and tomato on the side. It was pretty good. But they also didnt have the ingredients to make a mojito. So there s that. But food was good and view was really cool at sunset. Although we did have to spray with bug spray and there was a fishy smell in the air.
MoreAtmosphere was nice, calm and food was delicious. Scenary is beautiful near the water. Nice view, especially during 🌇 sunset. The servicer was polite and order was made the way we wanted. There was a little wait time For the food but it was worth it because it was authentic and fresh.
MoreEverything here is good, a little bit pricey, a little be slow, but the food is definitely worth the money and the wait! Love their mofongos!
MoreGreat place. Excellwnt sea view. Family friendly atmosphere. Very good seafood.
Good food and atmosphere but yes it takes forever. We got fish sticks for lunch here around 330 pm and are just paying for check at 545 pm. If you dont mind waiting forever then this is a good place for you. If you have places to be, skip. Also not good for kids since it takes a long time (Im here with my 15 month old)
MoreGreat food $$$. Right on the beach. Slow service due to absentee employees. You can watch huge fish in the sea and perhaps feed them scarps.
MoreYou Will love seating buy the coast.. you love seafood this is the place to be... dont look like much from the outside but you will love the food.
MoreGreat location on the water! Good food takes time to make and that it did. But well worth it.
MoreUncleaned, lots of mosquitoes and flies. Tried what they consider a red snapper, it was not, whatever that fish was it was hard and tasted funny. The surrounding areas are uncleaned and a strong smell to pond water.
MoreVery nice restaurant by the ocean.Staff extremely friendly.Very good food and service.
MoreThe food was awesome, the waterfront view great. They just need a few more servers, although the one that took care of my party was very nice. Will definitely be going back.
MoreThey "suggested" a tip with the sales tax included and round it up to the next amount. They pretend to collect it all without giving me the option of tip as desired. Other than that, food great, attention good.
MorePlace may not look very attractive but the food is delicious. I ordered Mofongo with carrucho salad.
MoreVisited this restaurant on 2/25/18. The good: Great views ,excellent food, average pricing. The bad: Wait time and understaffed. We waited an hour and a half for our food. Watched other tables experience major frustration as they waited for their food as well. Such a shame that the wait time eclipsed the quality of the food. If you are hungry DO NOT go there. I do not plan to back unless management steps it up.
MoreGreat seafood. Nice views. Place needs a facelift. A little pricey but good.
This place offers old, spoiled fish, ridiculously over prized! Our lobster was bad!!!! Appetizers not good either. They dont offer bread or salad before meals, like most seafood restaurants do. Desert was ok.(flan de queso)
MoreThe views are amazing! Unfortunately, you cannot eat or drink a view, which rather defeats the purpose of going to a pricey restaurant. I went to this restaurant on an average early Friday evening with a group of 12. When we arrived, there were only 2 other patrons in the restaurant. It still took over 45 minutes for our group to receive drinks (nothing complicated: bottles of water, house sangria, a few diet cokes). It took another 70 minutes to receive our food, even though all orders were off the menu and a majority were a variation on the theme mofongo relleno. The "plantains" in the mofongo relleno must have been mixed with flour (or wall paper paste?because they were chalky, bland, dry, and crumbled off the fork like a stale cake. The seafood was very limited in the seafood varieties and all were coated in some sauce that was very clearly laden with MSG. The food was a volcano of disappointment. The service was awful as well. The wait staff all spent more time on their phones, never once returning to ask about second rounds of drinks. After waiting for our food for over an hour (this was after the 45 minutes to get drinks and the other 10 to get food orders done, so almost 2 hours after arrival), 4 members of our party threatened to walk out if there wasnt some update on the food. Only then did the food begin to arrive: lukewarm, dry, and uninspiring. To cap off this inglorious experience, the restaurant made their lives easier by charging all people who ordered the mofongo a "flat" fee, which meant that chicken eaters were charged shrimp prices. With a drink (water or diet coke, not alcohol, mind you), the total per person for a mofongo relleno was 35USD. That meant that the meal was a waste of money, time, and patience.Simply: go somewhere else. If you want food, go to a real restaurant. If you want a view of the water, go to the beach. You cant get both here.
