On the road from salta to Cafayate. You will see a small sign. Park the car. A one minute walk to enter. There was a man playing music. Great Rock formation

Amazing! Gorgeous! A must if you are traveling to northern Argentina. It is a geological structure where you are in the middle of a rock formation modified by the elements and besides that it’s just a few meters from the road, you have a parking lot and it’s free. Inside you can find some artisan selling things and you might find people playing some music taking advantage of the natural acoustic. 100% recommended

Amazing formation. The road inside is pretty straightforward so there are no weird climbs. Elderly or people with kids can easily enjoy the inside to its fullest.

Amazing quick stop as you are headed or coming back from visiting wineries. It has parking up, right in front of it. There are a few locals selling their artisanal things ( wine, wool, jewelry)right in front of it. The parking by the road is apparently only for big busses but we saw small cars as well. We parked up,near the entrance. The anfiteatro is amazing. The rock formation just woooow!!!

The Anfiteatro is a geological formation located about 40 km from Cafayate, Salta. The name that this formation received, is based on its shape and thegreat acoustics that it has. The acoustic is so good that once a year the philharmonic orchestra from Salta plays there with absolutely no electrical support.

Amazing work of nature. The not so cool thing is all the vendor occupying the place, but they are not even going to offer things unless youre interested, so theres no hassle.

I slept without a tent in the middle of the amphitheater during a hitchhiking trip and it was absolutely amazing. Coolest place Ive spent the night in so far. I took the bus from Salta to Cafayate and asked the bus driver to let me off here. At 10pm it would have been impossible to find my way inside without a flashlight.
