El 123 - Thai restaurant in Cuauhtemoc, Mexico
A very trendy place with very trendy cuisine with prices on the pricy side. The staff is super friendly (nowand attentive, so hopefully they can keep the game up. The special chai latte is superb, I totally recommend it. Gluten-free options would be a great addition to the carefully curated menu. Will certainly be back.
The interior is nice, but neither Tom Yum nor Tom Kha were good - too much spicy (I love spicy Thai food), flavor was far away from the traditional one (don’t know what is the reason to add sugar into soups). Also the area where this restaurant is located is not that comfortable. Next time I rather select another place to eat Asian food.
Pad Thai was decent, service was nice and quick. Only thing was the Thai tea didnt have enough flavour. Otherwise it was pretty good
They say they close at 7 so I ran across the city center getting there at 6:20. They were cleaning the floor - chairs up on the tables - and told me the kitchen closes at 6:15. No service. Not even a beer or dessert.
Great atmosphere and cuisine. My first time having a different version of Chilaquiles.
Great food, great service, great ambiance. Would definitely recommend.
lovely foods and place. my first meals in Mexico.
Not the place if youre looking for authentic Thai cuisine. But that being said, their rendition is still amazing. A bit sweeter than Id like (e.g. Tom Yum), but still plenty of room to be enjoyed.
Good place. Decorated very well. Nice food. Cozy
Eclectic Thailand at center of the city. Urgently need to improve the experience as the people from the door entrance were unkind. As well we tried to buy some art and it was impossible as they asked to write an email and over the email they asked extra time to send the info and at the end we never received it.Dos: Pad ThaiDonts: Shirmps burger, specially bread was terrible.
A pretty place however, if you are vegan or vegetarian I do not recommend. I ordered vegetarian bao buns yet they gave me 5 very small pieces of spring onions and gaslighted me saying it was boa buns.. I payed 120 pesos for this flavorless food and unpleasant experience. If you are looking for good veggie food best to head to Mr Tofu and buy a pack of veggie lemon chicken for half the price.
Delicious take on Thai food, friendly staff and a lovely environment.
Delicious food, amazing ambiance in the restaurant. Really fun, hipster decor! We had a great time! :)
Best asian restaurant in mexico! The staff is so nice and the ambiance is perfect:Highly recommend
Had green curry, not bad. A little watery and they couldve used more pork, but it was green vurry.
Excellent food service, modern but artistic with a mexican touch
This place looked promising but they strongly need to work on their customer service! I was promised a table and two minutes later when I arrived they told they had given it to another person, no apology or anything!
Pretty decent Asian food. I can see they have put some effort into making it as authentic as possible
Not real Thai; rather, a Mexican interpretation of if.Food was fine. Service was great.
Best kept secret! This place was not only so charming but the food was amazing. It was perfect for me and my vegetarian friend to find a place where we could both eat delicious food.
Very good Thai food. Usually crowded on weekends. Shares space with an art gallery. Staff friendly and knowleadgable about dishes. Neighborhood not so nice but safe by day
AMAZING service, quick, efficient and friendly. The food was also delicious. All the veggies are fresh, tasty and all spices are natural. You really can tell they care about the food they’re making. Must try if you live thaï food 👐🏽
In globetrotting, I love to taste authentic fusion food. Sometimes, it’s a hit and sometimes it’s a miss. This is a perfect example of a ***winning*** combination of Thai and Mexican food. Absolutely loved the discrete use of Mexican spices with my Pad See Ew. Don’t expect traditional Thai here, but do expect to be delighted. For the discerning traveler only. The vibe checks out too—make sure to see the art and eating spaces on the second floor. My spouse and I will definitely return next time in CDMX.
My personal winner in CDMX!This place just dominates on all levels:Outstanding interior design,High quality and health-conscious food,Big portions for low price,Relaxing ambiente,Very friendly staff
You can tell the food is fresh and done with care. Recommended
Tasty thai food at a great price point and ambience
Had the pad Thai and was not disappointed. I will be back.
In terms of expectations the food was terrible! Everything I mean everything was super sweet except for the dessert. It wasn’t sweet. We ordered 2 noodle dishes both super sweet. We ordered green curry- it was just sweet green water with boiled veggies. It came with salad that was topped with melted ice cream as dressing. And we ordered Thai sticky rice with mango that’s my favorite dessert but to my surprise it was regular rice dumped in watery coconut water topped with blandest mango ice cream.Service was good and chai latte was good.Pictures don’t do justice. They came out nice.
Pad kee mao doesn’t taste like Thai food at all.
Stumbled across this place just looking for a beer and it was class. It has a rustic interior with an amazing view of a beautiful mural on the upper level. The Asian inspired menu looked amazing tho we only had the veggie spring rolls as a snack, . The staff were extremely friendly.Would defo recommend stopping off here.
A multiprupose space with a relaxed vibe.>RestaurantIt has mostly vietnamese-thai plates, vegetarian options are available.Breakfast is served from 10 to 14h. Menu has allergy alerts.Waiting time for a table and food serving is good even if the place is full.Price rank: 40-220 pesos>GallerySmall space, that adapts according to the exhibition needs. It features a new artist every month.>StoreIt has handcraft pieces such as plates, shot glasses and masks.·General info:Open: Mon-Sat 9 to 23h; Sun 9 to 21h.!!: The street (Artículo 123feels a bit unsafe. Its better to arrive from Bucareli rather than Avenida Juárez, Iturbide or Humboldt.
(+The place has a good atmosphere, you can either go to have a coffee with friends or enjoy the food.(-It can get full, and they will arrange you in a coffee table for having a meal, which is not so comfortable.(+Food is tasty, may not be a 100% authentic flavor but you will not regret it.(-Service is a shame, people is not attentive and you may need to ask more than once for their impersonal attention.
I found this place and I feel in love with it, a nice hidden spot full of art and nice people
Vibe is super hipster, but not overly pretentious. Staff is super friendly and the food was out super quick. Ordered veggie rolls as an appetizer (i think it was called Nem on the menu). I had the pad see ew and my friend had the pad thai. Closest that I’ve come to quality Thai food in CDMX. Some of the flavors are a bit different than you would get in an authentic Thai place, but I wasn’t mad at it.
The best Thai food I’ve had in Mexico and up to standards of restaurants in the States and Australia. Excellent service by friendly staff. Very good wine. If you want a change from Mexican food and ubiquitous mediocre Italian food and pizza this is the place to go.
Nice decor but food is nothing authentic at all. If you are looking for authentic Thai food, this is not the place. For example, the tom yung goong soup tastes nothing like what you will find in Thailand. I’ve lived in Thailand so I know my Thai food.
Service was 10 out of 10....but food not so much.Tom yum soup was spiced with red powder chilli which is the more convenient way plus wrong way of making dish. This was so spicy that I managed a few spoons then gave up...being Indian and not managing to finish starter says something.Other two starters were fried chicken dish which was tasty and grilled kebab type dish which was luke warm at best and over seasoned with salt. The kitchen is visable from your seat and without being prejudicial chefs were Mexican and not Thai....this explains mediocre meal.
We went there for appetizers and the food was decent. The eggplant with the baba ghanouj were pretty amazing.
Scrumptious Thai food ❤️Great place, fair prices, fresh produce, kind and attentive service. Sometime the food takes a bit but it’s worth the wait.
This spot is located two/three blocks away from the Torre Latino and the main attractions of the city center. This restaurant stands out by its originality: art exhibition, cosy and well-decorated dining rooms, and per se a restaurant where drinking beers and grabbing a bite while playing chess are a perfectly common combination. The service is simple but efficient -very accommodating. Few choices on the menu and the Top dishes (noted as Hitare a must-try. Besides the fried empanada-shaped appetizers, the pad Thai was a bit disappointing: the tamarind sauce was nowhere to be found -the rice noodle was firm, not too soggy and the soy sprout added a nice crunch. However quantity could be improved! My take: Go for the ambient!
Best lamb Ive had in a long time. Really good food at affordable prices. Nice staff and a cozy atmosphere. A great find in a shabby neighborhood. Also they have a store upstairs with some nice Mexican stuff and a little art gallery. Definitely a place to eat and visit.
Food was excelent. Service was attentive. The atmosphere of the place is super cozy and inviting.
English menu available. This is some of the best food Ive ever eaten.
Enjoyed the art work, and had a wonderful dinner. Fresh salad, Thai noodles, Tom Ka soup. Went upstairs to see the November month art, excellent time at dinner. Wish we can return for lunch soon!
Liked it. Went at noon, but their lunches arent served before 1pm. Amazing Green chicken Thai curry, chai latte and teriyaki chicken are delicious! I dont recommend the capuccinos. Too milky, like a latte. They have good wifi so it was awesome to use while waiting for the lunch menu. The strawberry smoothie was alright. They have soy milk and almond milk options. They also have GF options. Great place!
Such a cozy place to hang out.The menu is simple, cheap but amazing optionsi had a rice curry dish that was delicious! They also have a boutique with great souvenir options; an in house Mezcal, some locally made pottery and crafts.
Great Thai food, good service, reasonable price. I got the pad Thai, very tasty.
Very good Thai food for only $100-150 per main dish. You can easily do dinner for two with drinks and appetizers for about $500. The atmosphere is a bit like a café, and we were fans of the high ceilings.Unfortunately, the service is either great or terrible. On our first visit, we had a fantastic server and the food was out in about 15 minutes. The second time, our server disappeared before they had even brought all our drinks out, the food took almost an hour to arrive, and to top it off, they made us pay with cash. The portions for the noodle dishes are good, but other items might need an appetizer as well to fill you up.
Great Thai food experience, the prices are very well balance and according to the quality, not to crowded, just the right amount of noise to enjoy a conversation.
Good service, good food, mine had pork and it was really tasty, also had a ginger soda; excellent. Nice people and nice interior design.
