Very nice to visit and upgrade your knowledge.
Great place to visit, well organised have a great collection of EgyptionRecommended
MoreA valuable legacy from the ancient Egypt.
As an history and archeology lover this museum was a delight. From the 3rd floor to the ground floor I loved it. Nefertitis bust simply majestic and the visit was very simple and well structured.
Morefalse opening hours. I drove 50 minutes with the child to you and kissed the door handle.
MoreGreat!
Very nice museum. Its well structured and easily accessible. Didnt had to wait long in line on a Saturday, which is great. Everything is pretty neat and tidy.
MoreIts amazing how many artifacts they have on display. Every informative.
A bit confusing entry as staff didnt seem to speak English when asking us to leave out bags at coat check. Youll need a few Euro coins deposit to do this at a locker btw.Other than that, exhibits were extensive and informative, laid out an a great spacious way over several floors. Audio guide headsets were available. This museum is included in a 3 day pass you can buy online that works at museums all over the city.
MoreIt was an pretty amazing.
The Egyptian Museum of Berlin is home to one of the worlds most important collections of ancient Egyptian artefacts, including the iconic Nefertiti Bust. Since 1855, the collection is a part of the Neues Museum on Berlins Museum Island, which reopened after renovations in 2009
MoreInteresting museum, slightly chaotic I mean when you are going through you see mixed epochs, cultures and so on. Worse to see Nefertiti as she was exceptionally gorgeous!!! Kids under 18 are for free. Pay attention that due to covid tickets can be bought only online!
MoreIt is a really big and interesting museum, we spend over 4 hours there, would recommend,
MoreI still think about this museum 35 years after I visited it. It is awesome! Im sure its even better now.
MoreBeautiful museum. Because I am Egyptian i just felt a bit sad. Because I saw many Egyptians statues in Berlin and i think they should find way to give it back to Egypt. And if there is statues in Egypt belong to other country. Egypt should give it back too. I think its a respect and the right for each country to get their historical monuments.
MoreGood if you like egyptology
Very well set out. Enjoyed the collection. English audio descriptions not available for all exhibits
MoreGreat museum but staff is mediocre. Ticket sellers dont want to do their jobs, confuse and over - charge and the vigilants dont speak anything besides German... In a world class museum.. How strange. I wonder who pays their salaries and above all who hires these creatures!!?!
MoreWorst experience ever. I got bothered by uneducated, unprofesional security who spoke only german. The issue was that i was holding my winter jacket in my hand and i was forced to wear it indors.
MoreVery nice and will organised museum. Its really worth every euro. Kids are free and the tickets for two adults arent too expensive! Lot of interesting stuff to see. Great audio tour system! Really advice to plan enough time because theres a lot to see.
MoreNefertiti alone is worth it. But the entire museum is thoughtful, well organized mad hosted in a spectacular building. Take time out and ponder Time.
MoreNice cool place
Amazing!!! Be sure to visit all floors.
Beautiful! The place had no good guidance or directions where we should go.The only was to go up was by a small and super slow elevator, we waited 15 minutes and gave up.Got to see only the fist 2 floors.Too bad such a nice place not really accessible.
MoreA must visit place for people who are interested in history. Next best thing to being in Egypt!
MoreThis museum is a must. I am a big fan of Nefertiti
Amazing museum with a large collection of Egyptian artefacts. Here youll see the head of Nefertiti wich was very cool. Also a large collection of items from the Vikings.Resonable entrance fee.
MoreAmazing, 4 floors huge museum with so many interesting objects to see. Very good even for children.
MoreHuge museum well equipped.Absolutely one of the most interesting museums in Berlin. The ticket price is a bit high but the inner will pay the cost off.Staff was very nice and available to solve every needs.
MoreGreat museum, but the experience ruined by the café. 200ml of sprite for &3.50 is fine, but the ham toastie and the potato meatball salad are a scam. I got 3 halfs of a cold meatballs, 4 pieces of lettuce, a slice of tomato and a spoonful of potato salad for &9.90, with a dash of store brought mayo which lacked any taste. The ham toastie was even worst, the ham was cold, cheese might as well been replaced by cardboard, and I spend half of the night in the bathroom. I paid in total &24 for food that should be labeled as false advertising and unsafe for consumption. The museum was amazing, which is worth the price. However, there is a lot of reading and audio clips to listen to so it might bore the children. I suggest packing your own drinks and food, and planning to spend the whole day there. Dont forget to get audio guides from the front desk. The golden hat display was the best part, which is the saving grace and ultimately why its rated 3 stars and not 2.
MoreExcellent, if your interested in Egyptian history give yourself at least half a day for this exhibition.
MoreIt’s a beautiful museum , you can to see Nefertiti, is the best.
Got alot of shady looks from the guards, dident get permission to take off my jacket. But it was really nice.
MoreWe went there for the famous buste. Its a beautiful building! The Egyptian artifacts are impressive, althoug to much of the same.
MoreLoved it. Could spend days there. Wonderfully restored buildings and vast collections.
MoreGreat experience
Very nice collection and preserved them so perfect. Queen Nefertiti original bust is awesome to watch
MoreGreat variety of Items from Egypt. Worth the €18 price, even better at €9 if in the military and book online. The staff are a bit aggressive and maybe even rude, look past that at a great museum (€18 is for the 5 on the island). It’s a full afternoon, but worth it.
MoreGreat collection. Buy the 18 EUR ticket that helps you see 5 museums on the same day. Make sure you drop in early so that you have enough time to see them all...
MoreGreat museum! Beautiful objects.
Great collection of historic art and crafts. Although the building cant reach its pre-war glory it is worth a visit. Audio guides are included
MoreAmazing collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts. Must go and see Nerfertiti. This museum is air conditioned so you can take your time and enjoy. The teenagers even loved it.
MoreGreat museum with vast collection of egyptian past. The sculptures and all collection are amazing. The exhibition is easly guided by audio guide in many languages provided for free for all. Kiddos under 16 go free. All 3 levels will take your day so prepare for a great adventure in there. The old books of maths or medicine or magic are great lesson for all. How little progress we did over 5k years :)
MoreAmazing and unique, you must see if you in berlin
Like the rest of the museums on Museum Island, only do it if youre willing to invest the time. Therere so many things here that are all worth seeing.
MoreEgyptian Museum is amazing history museum. Objects and pieces from Egypt and you can see head of statue of Nefertiti. Great museum. Gift shop is available to buy some items...
MoreThis is was my first visit to Germany since reunification and coming to museum island was a fantastic experience. My advice is to dedicate a serious amount of time seeing these wonderful exhibits you wont be able to to it in a day....maybe a week or so, but well worth it. The new James Simon gallery which will be the official entrance will make visiting a mor pleasant experience which will open now in 2019. Therefore there is a lot of construction going on here dont be put off just go.
MoreI loved it .. but some of the staff were not too friendly, I liked anyway so Im giving it 5 stars
MoreBig museum that showcases all the ancient art, specially around Egypt. They have an impressive Nefertiti head that is just breathtaking to see.The café has a nice selection of cakes and snacks, however is not worth it for lunch - massive prices on fast food.
MoreVery impressive museum covering Egyptian art and archaeology, Greece and Rome, the inhabitants of Berlin-Brandenburg going back to the Stone Age, and displays on famous German archaeologists and archaeological digs in Berlin. Building itself a fascinating mix of late 19th century decor and modern renovation which preserves some of the bomb damage from WW2.
