Dined here while in Pittsburgh on business. The wait staff were fantastic and the food absolutely delicious. The oysters were very fresh and the crab cake was awesome. Definitely will be back next time I return to Pittsburgh

We went for my spouse’s birthday. We didn’t make a reservation, just thought we would go for happy hour. Justin was our server and he was phenomenal!!! Attended to our every need. We had an awesome experience. Food was perfectly delicious. Great evening with great service. So happy to have Eddie V’s in Pgh!!!

On October 16 my wonderful daughters and their families threw a fantastic party for my wife & I with many family and friends celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary at Eddie V’s in Pittsburgh. The food was superb as you would expect from a restaurant of this high caliber. But the service was beyond fantastic, the food for the 46 guests was served hot and everyone received their food simultaneously and there was very little down time between drinks. Hard to pick out one particular server – they were all great. I would highly recommend Eddie V’s for any special event or for just a wonderful dinner with your family.

Been here multiple times, and each time it was perfect. Wide selection of seafood and steaks and every dish is delicious. We had the crab cakes, which is hands down the best Ive had. The filet is seasoned to perfection and lobster tails was amazing. I am very much looking forward to the next time we can be back! Do keep in mind that valet doesnt start until 6p, so make your dinner reservation after 6p that way you dont have to find street or garage parking.

I went to Eddies right after proposing to my girlfriend. I asked them to have a bottle of champagne at the table so we could celebrate. They not only had the table perfectly ready, but had flower petals on it and placed us in the corner at a really great spot. The wait staff and manager were extremely friendly and congratulatory. The food was absolutely phenomenal. They helped make the dinner really special. I could not say enough great things about Eddies, definitely recommend.

Had an amazing time there. The service and food was beyond compare. We got the filet with lobster mash, it was amazing. We also enjoyed the Lava cake for dessert. One of the best meals Ive ever had! Five Stars!!!

WOWWW. I brought my wife here for our 19-year anniversary dinner and could not have been more pleased. The staff came by multiple times to wish us a happy anniversary, and our waiter was absolutely phenomenal. The steak was cooked to perfection and the shrimp were to die for. We had an incredible dessert as well. Trust me, you have to get to Eddie V.s as soon as you possibly can!

We went to Eddie V’s for my birthday dinner and had an amazing meal with some of the best food I’ve had in Pittsburgh. The calamari and crab cake were delicious appetizers, the burrata salad was delicious, and the South African lobster tail was the best I’ve ever had.The service was awful after the initial seating however. The smoked salmon amuse-bouche was described and exciting, yet never was brought to the table. Additional bread was offered, ordered, and also never brought to the table. A soft drink was ordered prior to the entrees being served and was not brought until we were done with our meals; with the comment “it’s on me” from our server. For a meal that cost over $300 for two this is unacceptable.The food was excellent; but hope for a different server should you visit. I’d like to go back but I’m not sure if I will.

Fantastic seafood/steak restaurant in Pittsburgh.This place combines excellent food and drink with a unique dining experience. The smoked old fashioned is a must try.Highly recommended!

We had an amazing anniversary dinner at Eddie V’s last night. Every bite was perfection! The cocktails were excellent. And the service was exceptional. We were really appreciative of all the special details in our experience. Our server Christopher was wonderful! The bread and butter was a delicious start with a complementary small bite appetizer. We ordered the Red Dragon and the Maverick (substituted for gincocktails and they were fantastic. I ordered the blt wedge salad which was fresh and delicious. I went with the scallops and brussel sprouts and my husband had the special of 2 filet medallions and shrimp scampi, everything cooked perfectly and so good! For dessert we ordered the crime brûlée and the Godiva hot chocolate cake and Christopher brought us complementary bananas foster butter cake and amazing cookies! Our night ended with 2 complementary glasses of champagne as well!! What a great evening! We were very impressed and will be back!

This was the best restaurant I’ve ever been to in my life! My aunt took me out for my birthday and the service was excellent. We had Justin as our waiter and he was amazing! Came very often, always made sure we were okay and he was very funny. I plan to get him every time! After the meals, I was stuffed but it was a good full. We didn’t feel bloated and heavy. I recommend this restaurant to everyone! It’s worth the price!!!

Went twice in a week, amazing food, a waiter by the name of Christopher was an absolute pleasure and made the experience so much more amazing.

I didn’t enjoy my dish at all. I had the sole with cheese encrusted on the top. It was horrible. I could not taste the sole because of the overpowering flavor of cheese. It was my wedding anniversary dinner and just didn’t want to ruin the night, so I pretended that I enjoyed it. I was very surprised the waiter didn’t ask me if I enjoyed my dish because it was basically all there when they cleared the table. The place is nice, the staff were friendly. I would have given a better review if the food was outstanding.

Cant say enough about this restaurant. My steak melted in my mouth and the lobster mashed potatoes was so on point. The server, she was absolutely delightful. Very good experience. 👍

Let’s start off by saying the service was excellent.! We had Kem he was our waiter he was great!! The food is absolutely delicious the stakes literally melted in my mouth! Best mashed potatoes and the cocktail we’re best I’ve had in a while! Overall highly recommended for a great Date night.!

Absolutely the best dinner and service I’ve had! Steaks that don’t require a knife to cut, Mouth watering side, delicious cocktails and wines, beautiful atmosphere and an outstanding service team! Ask for mark and your night will be top notch! 11/10

Great live jazz, impeccable service by the bar staff, perfectly made drinks, lovely presentation, and good sized portions. Only negative is that my MRare steak was actually past medium, approaching well, which was somewhat disappointing. I’m sure that doesn’t happen often. Other than that, only good things to say.

This was the best experience I’ve EVER HAD! They MADE my 30th birthday the best day ever. My day started off horrible and they changed it completely! From booking a last minute reservation to allowing me to push it back etc. I the food was AMAZING and I mean everything! Justin is legit top notch and WE WILL BE BACK! Great chop house. Awesome wine list. Steaks and seafood are done perfectly. Be sure to decant your wine as it comes out kinda cold.

Hadassah was Great. Friendly, personable. The food was delicious. The rib eye you can cut with butter knife. Lobster mash is Awesome The perfect meal for a college graduate

We had reservations. They sat us in the lounge area. Where they had me sitting the servers and guests walked through behind me constantly and people knocking into my chair. There was a jazz band. Another dinner party got up to dance right up against our table. The dinner for 4 was $428. When you spend that much you expect the red carpet treatment. I was disappointed in that. I will say the food was delicious.

Food was great had, service was beyond amazing. Our server Ian couldnt be any better unless he paid for our bill. Had the steak - cooked to perfection. Bass- delicious. The sides mac and cheese, Brussel sprouts, and rice were excellent.

Everything my family and I ordered was delicious and of high quality. Will definitely return.

Celebrated my mothers birthday today at Eddie Vs. The food was every good, and the service was truly excellent! The restaurant is beautiful. Even the bathrooms are upscale. The restaurant staff went above and beyond to ensure this day was memorable. They decorated the table with birthday confetti, wrote my mother a card, and gave her a free bananas foster dessert, which she said was lovely. I tried the jumbo gulf shrimp with crab, Brussels sprouts, crab fried rice, truffle Mac n cheese, creme brûlée, and the chefs cookies.Firstly, the complimentary bread was lovely. It is served with high quality butter and its very fluffy in the inside, crispy on the outside. For my main entree, I ordered the gulf shrimp. The portion was fairly large, but it did cost $37. The stuffing was a little on the acidic side, but the shrimp was tasty and it has plenty of crab. The sauce was good, too. I sampled the swordfish special, which was quite good. The Parmesan sole is bready and somewhat sweet, so unless that sounds appetizing to you, Id recommend not ordering that.All the sides were awesome and very reasonable priced. You could have the crab fried rice as a meal. There is so much juicy, sweet crab! The rice is fluffy and flavorful, not too spicy. However, dont expect it to be similar to Chinese style fried rice. Its a lot more buttery and rich. The Brussels sprouts were sweet and crispy. A good vegetable side. Mac n cheese had a unique flavor. Its very rich, somewhat runny, but has a flavorful that is unlike any other Mac n cheese I ever had. Not sure if Id order it again, but I love the crab fried rice!Finally, the desserts were amazing. I was able to take some creme brûlée home with me. The cookies are pretty good, but not outstanding. Tasted a bit like brownies. The brûlée itself was pretty average too. Its served with berries on top. However, you must try the bananas foster. The fruit is delicious and so is the base, without being too sweet. Plus, it is served with ice cream and flambeed table side! Awesome surprise. The waitress (Kayla I believewas very attentive to our needs.All in all, Eddie Vs is a nice choice for some upscale dining. Its got a great ambiance and the service is truly excellent. Theres even live music after 7 pm. The prices are quite steep, though. The food is pretty good and I may return just for the crab fried rice!P.S. - All the photos are leftovers. The actual portion sizes are significantly larger!

Im sure there are plenty of reviews that tell you how great this place is.. But every place has mistakes. Watching them recover from mistakes is what makes businesses truly worthwhile. I went on 4/4/2022 and sat at the bar. The place was quite busy and I overheard the manager say it was busier than they expected. I ordered my food and drink at the bar. I can tell you a few things up front.The food is just delicious, there is no doubt about that.The live music is ON point. Just the right volume to fill the air, but not kill conversation.The drinks are delicious.However, I think the kitchen may have been overwhelmed a bit. But you know what, the wait staff, and especially James behind the bar REALLY took care of the guests. He communicated with the manager and just made everything work. Seeing how a team works together when things dont go perfect is an amazing testament to knowing that they are professionals and watching James behind the bar tend to a FULL load of guests, issues in the kitchen and still keep a smile on his face was great!If you need a REALLY good bartender, you should probably try poaching James, the gentleman is a rockstar, and Ive had plenty of solitary dinners at bars while traveling around and have witnessed my fair share of bartenders.Ill certainly go back, for the food and the service.Nice work James, well done.

Absolutely incredible! Came for my Birthday dinner with my Wife and let me just say it was everything! From the table that was decorated upon our arrival, to the great service provided by Mia, to the flaming banana foster dessert, all to the sound of a great Jazz band playing. It was an unforgettable experience. Thank you for giving us that. We will definitely be back next time we come to Pittsburgh.

Mine and my wifes anniversary. Literally the best food and dining experience we have ever had! We started with the Big Eddie shellfish tower. Decadent Lobster tails &claws, raw oysters(wifes fav, giant gulf shrimp, lump crab, seafood salad, and more. Good enough to have been our meal. But she wanted the Scallops and I wanted the bone in ribeye and we were thoroughly impressed. Our waitress was amazing and surprised us with banana foster flambeed with ice cream and champagne for our anniversary. Epic night. Cant wait till we celebrate there next year...or sooner.

The food here is always good and worth the price. The server was fun and professional (even when he accidentally spilled sauce on my dress). The manager came out immediately (without me saying anythingapologized and offered some compensation for the mishap. Nevertheless, this restaurant is the place to go if you love fresh and delicious seafood.

Absolutely great staff and the food was amazing. We were blown away by the atmosphere and food. Our waiter was the best Ive ever had anywhere and everything was worth every penny. Will definitely be back.The only complaint was the screaming child that was there for a majority of the meal. It ruined the atmosphere a bit.

We’ve been here multiple times and it seemed the quality of food has deteriorated. We’ve sat in the bar area and the side dining room, but never had we sat in the main dining room. Bar area is cool because of the live music but the side dining room is a bit blah. Service has always been great. This most recent time we dined here was last night. Our shelf dish tower was not as fresh and was disappointed to learn that King Crab legs came without shells and in a bowl. We order all of their 5 appetizers to try and only one was good. All in all, not as great as previous visits and definitely not as good as Ocean Prime (which unfortunately we don’t have here in Pittsburgh).

One of my all time favorite restaurants! Their sea food preparation is always on point! My favorite dish is the parmesan sole. They have a great selection of oysters too. Great place to go to for happy hour to get some cocktails and apps- they are all so good! Bonus- they always have a lovely jazz band! My favorite dessert is their crème brulee, but they are all amazing!

You would love the food, bartenders are very friendly and the have very well knowledge of the menu. We sat at the bar. We had a good experience.

This is a great place! We came for a work event with 30 people. The location is spectacular, the staff worked very hard and were on their A-game and didn’t miss a beat. This place has some really unique cocktails and they do a great job on an old school martini 🍸.The steaks were good but the sides made the meal - Truffle mac n cheese was to die for. Also get the bananas foster you won’t be disappointed.Oh the burrata beet salad - 😍Definitely worth the hype.

Absolutely beautiful place! Most definitely in the top three best steaks I have ever had anywhere! The jazz band was amazing the ambience was perfect! I highly suggest this restaurant!

One of the best Lobster Bisques I ever had! Best thing though was the service. The waiter asked if we were in a rush or not so they can know whether to hurry with the food or not. They also provided lemon scented warm steam towels between courses.

Could not be more impressed by the customer service, my parents and their friends were celebrating their anniversaries and my sister and I wanted to send a nice dessert to the table for our parents. The General Manager Amanda, went above and beyond! She organized a tray of desserts for the whole table! We quickly received pics and thank you texts from everyone. Could not be more pleased and thankful for for all the workers who helped make their time special!

It was our 27th Wedding Anniversary. We went specifically for the steak tartare, which was amazing! I had the Chilean Sea Bass, Hong Kong style in a light soy broth, it was simply exquisite. All of the food was cooked to perfection and delicious. The gentleman (Johnwho took care of us gave us a phenomenal dining experience. ♥️ Thank you Eddie Vs

My Birthday was today and wow Tyler was absolutely amazing, I may ask for him by name everytime, my first time dinning at Eddie Vs, and it was beyond what I expected. I had a layover for hours and decided to walk down Grant St. in the center of Pittsburgh. What a lovely city setting, like New York but without the attitude and mob.While walking by this restaurant, I glanced through the windows at an inviting restaurant setting. I walked in and handed off to Katherine, my waitress and my meals accompanying angel ensuring my satisfaction. I cannot say enough about the service at this establishment. Bravo. You could not expect more friendly and courteous staff immaculately presenting themselves.The comforting melodic music in the background, the attentive staff, and upscale ambience rendered this a layover I will forever remember. The menu filled with one delectable offering after another. It was extremely difficult to choose with so many wonderful dishes. The Lobster Mashed Potatoes are amazing. The South African Lobster has me beg for more. Its accompanying Filet Mignon perfectly prepared.Upon my return to Pittsburgh someday there is no doubt where I will dine.Thanks, Eddie Vs for a memorable evening!

Excellent food, nice atmosphere, not too loud and great service. The diamond drink was just perfect!Coming again for sure.It’s important to note that if you decide to make reservation for a bigger group 10+ people, then you have to meet a minimum spending per person, otherwise you will have to pay the difference at end. While it is a little inconvenient, I could see a scenario or two why it would make sense.They have Louis XIII cognac that was something else and the way it’s served Is just interesting.

Came here with my wife for her birthday and had a wonderful time. From the time we walked in till the time we left everyone was so polite. Our waiter was very informative and always checked in with us. The food was wonderful. My steak and wifes salmon was done to perfection. Their scallop potatoes were some of the best weve ever had.. The seafood tower we ordered for our appetizer was delicious and fresh. It can get a little pricey but thats fine especially when things are fresh and well prepared.
