Econo Lodge North in Sioux Falls

would be cleaner and safer to sleep under a truck across the street at the truck stop. room was dirty. smelled like stale cigars and dead cat. noise all night long. was afraid to go anywhere after dark….. daylight wasn’t much better. if you want to experience what it’s like to live in the slums just stay here a night. I was so dirty I was afraid to sleep on the bed for fear I might catch bedbugs or something

Dirty beds with stains. Bathroom door didnt close. Hot tub was broken and cold and dirty. Pool was very dirty. Breakfast was poor quality. Wont stay here again also price was high for what it was. Wish I spent extra 25.00 and went somewhere nicer.

I cannot give words that are as horrible as my experience at this place. My deposit was kept because there was a plastic bag over the smoke detector that I didnt even notice. I was not doing well and I needed that money. The manager made fun of me and the entire working staff of five people at the time all came to the lobby and were extremely belligerent, but worst of all was the young manager, and when all those employees came at me and I started crying, the manager laughed at me and made fun of me for crying. Fast forward like mine months later, my friend came into town with her two daughters and niece, and they booked a room there. If I would have known I would have stopped her. She stopped there and dropped off bags, meet me for lunch, went back to the hotel to get ready for swimming, and there was already evidence of a massive bed bug infestation. She was heartbroken. I read a previous review, dirt in the sheets was probably bed bugs. Anyways, she tried to resolve cancelled the room and asked for a refund, and instead was charged a cancellation fee of $175. She was so upset, she literally just left and went back home. I felt so bad for her. This is a horrible place with horrible employees, horrible business practices, and is so filthy and disgusting it should literally be shut down for health and safety reasons.

There were bed beds in both rooms we stayed in. Front desk lady was rude and refused to give a refund after we explained that both rooms she gave us had bed bugs. There were drug addicts all around the building. The bathroom door barely worked. There was no manager and only one person working. She wouldn’t work with us and told us she would make a call to get us a refund but never received one. This was an awful hotel and was in a very sketchy area. If you can anywhere else, please do!

Bed frames were busted. We did stay 2 nights. Pool was green and open for use however I was not putting my kid in questionable water PH levels. Breakfast was eh not the best. Will not stay again but served its purpose for a bed to sleep in. COPS were called 1st night for an unknown incident.

Ewwww...... if you have a choice STAY AWAY Everything is nasty. I paid $130. If I would have wanted to go to a place like this it would have been cheaper. Was not planning to stay in this town but we were too tired to keep driving. I put my personal blankets over the beds because theirs were stained.Pool is green. Too grossed out to want to try breakfast. Rested a couple of hours and left quick. Also never been to a place where they asked for the room key back. If it wasnt found there would be a charge.

If you just need a place to crash for a night or 2 its fine but if your on vacation with kids Id look elsewhere. The pool was nasty with a green film in the water and the hot tub was closed and the water was all cloudy. The whole place has a musty moldy like smell. Its very close to the interstate so you can get out of here quick..

This place looked like it was just slapped together and called a hotel. As we walked down the halls they had pieces of paper tapped with room numbers on them instead of normal numbers. The exit sign was broken and it felt like we were staying in a abandoned building. We asked for the non-smoking sections/room and in the hall way smells like cigarettes bad. In our room all we had to sit on was a computer chair no couch or small sofa. There was no tissue paper. There was hair on the walls in the bathroom. The TV guide that they put in front of the tv is plastic and had gross stuff all over it. The towels had looked used there was makeup stains on them. The trash cans had Walmart bags in them as trash bags. It’s very gross and we will not be staying here again.

When youre here, you feel like family. From the front desk staff to housekeeping, everyone is amazing. They are very attentive. If you need anything, theyre there to help. My kids love the pool and the breakfast. I would live here if I could ;)

It was so bad! The employees were nice however, the environment was very scetchy. There was a lot of very obvious drug activity. The pool and hot tub were so dirty we could not even use them. We did not even stay 1 night. We got another hotel and left the evening we arived. I asked for a partial refund and was told they would look into it the next day. I decided to let it go lose the 222.00 dollars I paid for the room. You definitely should not go there, especially if you have your family. It is a very bad place ...

Our room was good size, but we didnt have a shower curtain,had to pull the drain plug to the sink by hand,no coffee set up (had the coffee machine but no coffee or cups. The security door in the back of the place is not very secure, does not close all the way by itself, stayed unlocked most of the night. Some people were drink beers in the parking area,not a good thing. Breakfast was good. Overall, good for a one night stop over.

0 stars DONT GO HERE... worst hotel I have ever been in. There were intoxicated people at every entrance. Drug deals in the parking lot and hallways. The pool had a oil film and the hot tub was dark green and had stuff floating and that was just the highlights. They gave us 2 pillows I had to ask 4 times for an extra one only to never get one. And dont bother asking for a refund that wont happen. Just say no spend the extra and go literally anywhere else

They dont refill the breakfast. I was told by a lady that they had way more options when it first opened. I got there and hour after opening. I tried to get a staff member and no one was at the front desk and answered the phone. They dont stock the rooms with enough towels for each person. No cups for the coffee maker. The window leaked on my clothing during a rain store.

Don’t waste your time trying to stay at this hotel. Booked a room several weeks in advance and notified the staff that I would be arriving late in the evening and they assured me that they would still honor guests checking in late at night. After driving all day found out that the employee on the phone lied. Once I arrived there were no employees in the entire building. I called general customer service for Econo and was informed that employees should have been present however they were not. Clearly the management at this hotel is awful. I waited for nearly an hour and still no show of any employees. Finally, I was able to speak with some guests staying there and they had been told that the hotel had been sold out. My room had been given to someone else after I had already made reservations and called in advance to avoid any potential mishap. Moral of the story is avoid this hotel at all costs. Extremely fraudulent business.
