Absolutely disgusting place on every level. I would have rather slept in my car. I have stayed at Econo Lodge’s all over Canada and this place does not meet even their minimum standards. I honestly have no idea how it can stay in business or use the Econo Lodge name. This place should be shut down to the general public as it does not meet Occupational Health & Safety standards. Stay away from this place, you are better off sleeping in your car. Seriously no portion of the 169.00 per night goes into cleaning or sanitation. I was afraid to touch anything. It has not been updated, maintained or steam cleaned for at least 30 years. I will be writing the head office of Econolodge and making a complaint. If I could give it a -5.0 stars that would be more accurate….🥴
This place was in a good location.Staff was friendlyHowever will not stay here again.2 broken beds , sticky furniture and I wore my shoes the whole time because the floors were filthy . Bathroom was cleanest part of the room.
Not gonna badmouth them. The staff was so friendly, and Im sure their cleaning staff works their best, but the place is a little run down, and the hallways strongly smelled of smoke, and the seat on the dask was stained. Regular cleaning isnt enough, Place needs to be shut down for a week for a deep cleanse.Otherwise, its surrounded by a lot of fast food places, so you have a wide variety to choose from, and it is one of the most affordable places in town.
Offering largish rooms with good facilities and friendly helpful reception staff.Like most motels in this time self making coffee facilities are not available.Room looked acceptably clean though my friend splashed the bath and using the bath mat as a mop left us with heavily stained mat.
The hotel appeared clean and decent, although it is somewhat aged and worn. The room had a strong cleaner/disinfectant smell, and a weaker cigarette smell (supposedly a non-smoking room. The hotel was quiet, and barely occupied, although our stay was only a one mid-week night. More than adequate for three old men traveling north, and needing a place to sleep, but the fold-out sofa comfort was a joke.
Lighting in the room was horrible. Needed to open the curtains to bring in some proper light. The bathroom was dark - needed to use the desk in the main room to do make up. Pillows were very flat which lead to a very bad nights sleep. Not to mention the window was impropely cleaned. Still had wet marks from whatever spray they had used. Mattress was very uncomfortable. Should have been switched out. Do not stay here.
