Éclat Hotel Taipei in Taipei
Description
Nice room and good quality
I have booked the Eclat Hotel regularly over the years and have always been extremely satisfied. After the Covid-19 entry restrictions were eased, I was able to re-enter Taiwan last November. A business partner recommended a well-known "Grand Hotel" in Dazhi. However, after a few days we had to move out of there, because every day one had the feeling of being in a train station. Crowded corridors, impersonal service - if at all. It was so annoying that you used up the positive energy for the day already in the morning after breakfast. Fortunately, we were able to get the last available room at the Eclat. Back at the Eclat, the business trip has evolved into a well-balanced experience. The rooms are cleverly appointed with quality materials, including solid wood floors instead of plastic carpeting! Most importantly, the excellent staff really cares about the guests well-being. Very good English, highly attentive, professional and cordial. The management seems to do a great job in selecting and motivating the staff.Especially we want to thank Pauline, Gina, Milton and Cody for the wonderful stay. They are all personalities that make you miss Hotel Eclat. The prices are absolutely reasonable. Breakfast is individual and delicious, a mix of local as well as international dishes. The foreign-run Italian restaurant in the basement is one of the very good ones in Taipei. The wine selection (Italian, French, USAis good, only for the acceptable price level we would wish for more taste than good sounding names. Wines such as Chablis can easily be found better for the price - the Sommellier may try a little better. However, just around the corner you will find a small restaurant with excellent wines :)In general, you can find many unique restaurants and bars with individual character nearby. We are looking forward to pampered again in the Eclat next fall.
MoreChristmas2021 we stayed at this lovely chic boutique hotel. Positive: The front desk the gentleman was very attentive, the lady (owner or managerwas nice enough to give us Christmas cards, pretended to be from Santa. We then hung the Christmas gift on the tree to surprise our kids. Room’s clean and modern. Negative: the room a bit small to Taipei’s standard, and a bit noisy if facing main road. Breakfast can be improved. Overall, a pleasant stay.
MoreWe had a wonderful stay here. The staffs are amazing, that’s my favorite part of the stay. The room is very clean and the mattress was super comfortable. The whole hotel has a very eccentric vibes to it.However, there are sign of west and tear. You can tell the hotel isn’t kept up well. For example, the painting hanging above our bed was chipping.
MoreGreat service, exquisite interior filled will pop art, and comfortable bed. All at a very reasonable price
MoreMy favorite hotel in Taiwan. Quirky lobby. Great rooms, very friendly and helpful staff. Great location.
MoreWe had a wonderful stay! One of the best rooms I’ve ever stayed in. Beautiful room with modern features, very quiet, the bed was really comfortable, and staff were friendly. Highly recommend this hotel!
MoreGreat location in the heart of Taipei (pretty decent rates for this part of town). Super friendly staff from front desk to the lounge. Planned to stay 2 nights thru Amex travel booking (minimum to get the $100 perkbut extended my stay for 2 more nights since u won’t find a hotel with this service/price in Xinyi/Dunghua area.
MoreI guess many hotels in Taiwan are desperate. I booked this one through an agent declaring that I did not have to pay now, but hours later, the hotel tried to charge me for one night. This is ridiculous!! During the pandemic, trips are uncertain. Travelers might have to cancel their plans. It is difficult to ask for a refund. It is fair that hotels charge a deposit after the free cancellation deadline. I don’t think I will visit this place again.
MoreBeen global Healthcare worker i traveling a lot, this time my 1month stay in Èclat was really really nice, rooms are very comfortable with all the fancy gadgets in the room but the staff really impessed me every single person took care of my well-being personally. I have never had such a pleasant experience.Kudos to the team and management for having such a dedicated and motivated team.Thank you ! Hope to see you guys soon :)
MoreIt’s a great hotel. I would stay there again. The bed was comfortable, the room nice, the staff friendly helpful, and prompt with service. It’s also quiet. I don’t like noisy hotels. You can hear some noise but over all silent. The wooden floor is a bit dated and scuffed up.
MoreNice boutique hotel to stay. Clean and large rooms with nice decorations. Walking distance to Taipei 101.
MoreRoom smalls in the morning. Quit disgusting . Woke me up with the bad smalls two days continuously. Called the receptionist and did not solve the problem immediately. Disappointed. Not recommend.
MoreQuirky boutique hotel with lots of modern artwork. Rooms are on the small side but relatively well appointed. Shower is a little annoying as it leaks into the bathroom. Breakfast buffet is pretty good. Friendly staff throughout. Convenient location to use as a home base for exploring the city.
MoreServiceReception staff and breakfast staff were all consistently excellent during our 4-night stay. They were each very attentive and professional and provided a level of service consistent with a 5-star hotel. It is a boutique hotel so the service feels much more intimate than a larger scale luxury hotel. Housekeeping service was also excellent.HotelClean, modern, quirky, functional, obsession with detail. It is one of the best designed rooms I have ever slept in. The bathroom and shower are really of top-notch design and it was a literally a pleasure to take a shower. Everything from the pen to the hairdryer are of top notch quality; they do not cut corners. The location is a short walk to the MRT red line in a quieter part of town, which is really befitting of the character of this hotel.FoodGreat breakfast selection of a mix of la carte menu items and buffet style. Balance of Chinese/Western food. Also complimentary evening snacks for all guests.I will definitely be staying here on my next visit to Taipei and would recommend it to my friends.
MoreIts an elegant boutique hotel. They have nice decorated rooms. They also have good high tea and brunch.
MoreThe hotel is old and the their service definitely does not meet the standard for a 4 star hotel. Stayed 2 nights this time. Will not return for sure. The one star is for the location.
MoreWonderful hotel with all amenities. Plush room and excellent sound system. Great service
MoreA small and fine luxury hotel. The location is perfect to explore Taipei. The rooms are small but very functional and cozy. We felt very comfortable here and can fully recommend the hotel! The service staff was unique and very attentive - especially Evelyn. The only point of criticism: in the bathroom the towels can only be hung on only one hook.
MoreGood hotel. Showing its age a bit. Coffee setup in the rooms is 5 star. Toto washlet and massage chair were nice touches.
MoreStaff helpful and kind. Not worth the price charged though. Rooms small, even with Premier King upgrade. Main interior chintzy/gauche, regardless of original art. Nothing seems to blend. Food average quality. Overall feeling is, it looks better in photos....
MoreEclat was great! I would stay there again in a second. The staff was superb, especially Peggy at the front desk – but all of them. They greeted me from the second I walked in the door, to after I left (they found some clothes I left behind). It’s in a nice, leafy area of Taipei. Lots of good restos in the vicinity, also stores if you need to do some shopping. I totally enjoyed walking around that area, lots of cute places! Breakfast was good, maybe not the huge selection you might get in a larger hotel, but more than plentiful. I ate at the resto two or three times, it was so good. I loved the classical music played throughout the hotel and also on the nice Bang & Olufson radio in the room. Not to mention the heated toilet seat.
MoreStaff are very welcoming and helpful. From the moment you stepped into the lobby till you check out. Its near 7-11 and the snacks and drinks are always available at the lobby. Rooms are comfortable and clean, theres even a massage chair in the room. Different shower head that you can choose.Great hotel to be in.
MoreLoved it! Friendly helpful staff. Located in a quiet area, but still good access to the mrt. Interesting art around the hotel. Clean comfortable rooms. They have a selection of candies and drinks in the lobby if you need a snack.
MoreA very beautifully designed hotel with friendly service, comfortable rooms, and delicious food. The location is decent if youre talking about walking to nearby places.
MoreMy experience with this hotel is actually quite nice. Hi-tech, chic, and trendy. It is modern artistic with many modern art piece. The room is not big, but sufficient unless you want a bath tub. It is also fully automated with many designer and high end pieces. Customer service to an extent is responsive and nice. There is however, only one hotel restaurant, and one outside restaurant. On the negative side, the TV in the bathroom was malfunction, and the bathroom knock was broken. The automated toile cover was too sensitive and the automated rubbish bin was not functioning properly. While maintenance was called, only the door lock was fixed. For the television, I was informed that it was broken beyond repair, but a new set may only be provided on Monday or Tuesday, but I was to check out on Tuesday. For the rubbish bin, the mechanic took the broken part away, and informed that a new one will be replaced. But nearly a whole day passed and a new one has not materialized.
MoreGreat service, small but stylishly designed rooms in a nice boutique hotel. The showers were great, the Grown Alchemist bath products were very nice. I think it is not so much for families because the beds are just nice for one or two people but perfect for a business stay.
MoreGood service, nice/ modern design and beautiful room! It is not expensive at all given it’s high quality of room and facilities in the hotel. Highly recommended if this hotel fits your budget. You won’t be disappointed!
MoreA small luxurious hotel. Very friendly service. Location is good but not much happening within 5 min of walk.
MoreClean, small and modern hotel in a nice location wirh free mini-bar items and fast internet. They even provide free international calls and a service cellphone you can take and use while in Taipei.Near train stations, banks, fastfood and convenience stores.
MoreBeautiful boutique hotel with interesting article work all over the lobby. The restaurant in the basement is delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful and the location is pretty good. Lots of cafes and restaurants in the area and easy access as well.
MoreA boutique hotel with modern art all over the place. The rooms are comfortable in size with nice interior, wooden floor and a sense for details. I liked the bathroom amenities. The bed is perfect. Breakfast is a mix of buffet and a la carte. In short: I’ve always enjoyed staying here.
MoreGreat hotel, staff and service. Will come again.Food and room is great.Got free wheelchair for use, it was super helpful.
MoreNice boutique hotel with tons of amenities. Staff was super friendly. Bathroom was slightly odd but overall 5 star class, recommended.
MoreSmall luxury hotel in the heart of Daan district, couple blocks away from Daan MRT station. Rooms feels a little dated, could use an update. A lot of art and sculptures all over the hotel.
MoreSuch a cozy and warm place! My family and I spent a couple of nights here, and although it was cold and rainy outside, we felt quite at home inside the hotel.First of all, the staff are wonderful! Being an American, I love "small talk" and general chit-chat. I was, therefore, happily surprised when several members of the staff chatted with me while I hung out in the lounge or walked about the hotel. We will definitely return on our next trip in 6 months time.
MoreThe tea set here is great. You get a decent amount of finger sandwiches, pastries, and a rather large pot of twinnings tea for a very reasonable price. Lovely atmosphere. Really nice spot for afternoon tea.
MoreLovely hotel in a nice location. The breakfast was pretty good and staff were all very friendly. My favourites about this hotel was the room amenities - Aesop is provided! Mont Blanc pen was pretty cool and motivated me to get my postcards done. Now for the cons: 1. Room floor didnt seem that clean upon entering. 2. One of the Aesop bottles had been slightly used probably by the previous guest, and was not replaced. 3. Though I enjoyed the breakfast, the quality wasnt consistent - I ordered the Taiwanese spring onion cake on the first day and it was so delicious but on the second day it was just warm and tasteless.Nevertheless, a cute hotel in a convenient location with ubike around. Id still recommend it!
MoreThe day I stayed in this hotel was one of most memorable time in my life. Great room , amazing furniture, creative design and machine , nice concierge....Perfect ✌️
MoreIt is truly small luxury hotel. I had a good experience staying there. They provide complimentary mini bar for drinks inside the refrigerator and also nespresso machine with 3 capules. All of the stationary is complete (scotch tape, ruler, scissors, etc), blanket for yoga, hard pillow, 6 bottles of mineral water. You can even watch TV in the bathroom. They give Aesop for toiletries. Breakfast variety is also good. Very nice!
MoreFantastic hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are very well equipped, including Nespresso coffee machine, B&O sound system, mood lighting. The smart glass separating bathroom and bedroom can be switched from transparent to opaque. Didnt try any of the food.
MoreI enjoyed every single minute I spent in this place. Everything was spotless and the service was amazing. I really like their decor. I wish I spend more than one night there. I will be definitely booking it again when I am back to Taipei.
MoreAmazing boutique hotel. Service, rooms, and breakfast are all impeccable. Highly recommended to anyone staying in Taipei.
MoreSmall and luxury hotel. Great location near MRT Station. All rooms very good equipped, especially bathrooms. Very clean. Staff is very helpful.
MoreThe hotel staff was very friendlyI stayed for two days with my wifeI did not have any inconvenience.I made good memories with my wifeThank you for your kindness and love
MoreGreat service and very accessible location. The hotel would prepare gifts for guests on special occasions such as Christmas and New Years eve. Within walking distance to a lot of eateries and you can take many buses or even the metro to nearby shopping areas.
MoreLovely little boutique hotel. Rooms are good size for Taipei and a mini bar is included in the price of the room. I would stay here again.
MoreGreat hotel! Great service! It was totally worth it at the price we got. Location is not bad, 5-10min walk to Daan MRT station. We chose a bigger room, so the room is spacey even with a toddler bed inside. Its a small building, so it doesnt have a swimming pool.
MoreQuirky boutique hotel within a short 10-min walk from the nearest Daan subway station and Eslite bookstore. Lovely breakfast area. Friendly and attentive staff.
MoreA classy boutique hotel. The rooms are wonderful and are fitted out with awesome features like touch activated lamps and under bed lighting. The bathroom is very modern with a Toto washlet toilet and rainfall shower head above a wooden shower floor. And it is cheaper than the larger chain hotels.
