Echo fine Dining & Bar - Aonang. in Krabi

The upstairs venue is okay, the cocktails were okay but the food ranged from “okay” down to “hardly edible”. To their credit, the staff offered to remove the bad items from our bill, which is why I can give it a 3/5 in total.

Food and service was ok.The only thing which I’m not sure is the freshness of the food! 2 of 4 got sick during the upcoming night after we went there!Was it really fresh? We don’t know…

So last week we stepped into the place , and one person in our group wanted to eat food without onion and garlic. So when we asked the waiters help in choosing food he asked us to leave the restaurant and go, which we eventually did.

Thai food here is very tasty, especially rice noodles. Very nice and friendly staff.

We wanted a break from Thai food so got a pizza and spaghetti. I would say both were sufficient for us. The service was VERY slow and had to get someone’s attention every time we needed something.

The echo is a nice dining place. We had a few drinks here and enjoyed a few quick bites here. The staff is nice and courteous. They have good live music playing here which keeps up the momentum of the place. The best part is its location. Its right on the street but the staff and services give you feel of classy dining. Must try: Krabipolitan

The locations is good, the service is just okay and I would say the food is overpriced when comparing it to other restaurants in the same location.

Really affordable and nice ambiance

Comparing with other places where we ate.. 2 stars. There was 16 of us.Avoid western food, pizza, burger and lasagne-all were tiny and not very good. For steak I cannot write because nobody had it. Thai food was below average. I had the hot plate with pork (no. 130). The firework part is impressive but the taste and texture is not good, the sauce was watery and under spiced. Service is ok.

No smile from the staff. Thai food is not the best I tried.

We sat upstairs where the music was not loud so we could easily talk to eachother. Service was good and friendly staff.We ordered some currys and the taste was really good. Very tastefull and enough herbs.We really enjoyed our meal and the view on the boulevard.It was not crowdy which might help with the service.

Great position with fabulous views from the upstairs restaurant, which is large enough to cater for many people. There is also a bar downstairs for people just wanting a quiet drink.The menu is varied with something for every taste. Moderate prices

Bad service, walked out without touching my food and drink. They know theyll get customers and arent in it to please or entice revisits. Over priced, would encourage you support a business that appreciates its clients more.

If you are after Thai food so whitified your great grandmother could cook it, then this is the place for you. Otherwise, keep walking.

This place is an ABSOLUTE SCAM. First and foremost we ordered our drinks and they were completely watered down- as in it seemed like they cut their spirits with water straight from the bottle. I ordered a gin martini and when it arrived I tasted it only to taste SALTY WATER with a hint of vermouth. No I had not been drinking before hand for several days and I am also a bartender. There was ZERO alcohol in this drink. My boyfriends margarita was just sweet and sour Mix with water. Now for the REAL scam, I ordered a whole fish and it arrived with what appeared to be a nice “vegetable mix” like described on the menu on top. I took a bite of the “mix” on top and it was large diced chunks of RAW garlic, ginger, lime WITH THE RIND ATTATCHED, and red onion about a half nice thick. Pushing this “mix” aside, I realized that this whole fish had NO BODY. There was a head, a tail, and a giant pile of inedible trash piled up in the middle to mimick the body of the fish from afar. So I’m paying $550 bhat for a deep fried fish head and tail with diced limes. No sauce. My boyfriends curry tasted like coconut milk with the mildest hint of curry. STAY AWAYY!!!!!

We chose Echo for our evening meal on Christmas Eve given that it advertises itself as fine dining. We spoke to the employee on the street and asked if we could sit upstairs, which he said was fine. We were taken up and seated at a bistro type table next to the bar, despite there being numerous dining tables unoccupied. I made it clear that I wasnt happy sitting there to eat and got up to leave, and then a table suddenly became available in the actual dining area.When I read the menu I noticed how expensive everything was. However, given it was Christmas Eve and a special occasion, we decided to treat ourselves and order anyway. We waited a long time for someone to take our drinks order. In the end we had to flag down a member of staff and ask if we could order. I noticed he was wearing shorts, a t-shirt and trainers. Hardly the formal dining experience one expects with "fine dining"...When someone finally came over, we ordered our drinks and food at the same time. The food took a long time to come, but when it arrived it looked appetising on first glance. Unfortunately upon tasting the food, we realised it was barely warm. I had taken a bite of a spring roll and my partner had taken a bite of a satay stick.When we (finallymanaged to flag a member of staff down, we complained and he took the food back to the kitchen. A while later, the waiter reappeared with the same plates we had returned, including the items we had taken a bite out of! Unfortunately when we tasted it a second time it was still cold in the centre, and the bread garnish on the satay plate was wet and soggy.By this point, almost an hour later, we were totally unimpressed, hungry, and just wanting to leave as soon as possible. We explained that we were unhappy and that we were leaving. We did not receive an apology, just the bill for our drinks.I would not recommend this establishment and will not be returning in future. We had a much tastier meal and received better service at the food market down the road.

Poor drinks, bad prices and not great food.We went for a quick snack and a drink - to check out the place before dinner and were so disappointed that we didnt have dinner here.Everything was overpriced. Drinks were 50-100 Bhat more than anywhere else and the nachos we had were 320 Bhat, the equivalent of £8. This wouldnt be good value for money in London, let alone a non-main city in Thailand!The staff didnt seem to be enjoying themselves either.The only reason to go here would be the sea view - which isnt great especially when you get sat at the back of an empty seating area.

Really not that good. Overpriced. Poor service. Thoroughly unimpressed. Paid £8 for a small plate of nachos. The service was painfully slow. This restaurant is in a fabulous position overlooking the sea but overlook that and go elsewhere if you want value for your money.

The best place to eat, drink and enjoying acoustic live music in Aonang, Krabi Thailand. I use to sit every evening during my stay in Ao nang. Its amazing atmosphere and lovely sunset view in Andaman sea.

Green curry noodles were good, adequately spicy. Drinks expensive but extremely strong. Good live music at night, would definitely recommend.

We went right after sunset and were greeted out front for a quick explanation of the menu prices. They had a 10% discount on everything but seafood. We got to choose a table upstairs and ordered about 5 dishes. Everything was delicious and the presentation of each dish was carefully crafted. The singer/guitarist was playing acoustic versions of pop music from all decades and was really good. When we left they helped us hail a bus back to town, super nice and helpful staff.

Great atmosphere away from the loud streets. Some tables are great if youre looking for a romantic dinner. Especially with the live music (singer and guitaristwhich makes the evening unforgetable. Theres nothing more one can think about: delicious food, live music and friendly staff.Tipp: they offer a 10% discount on the food (not on seafood)

Worst restaurant ever i tried in Aonang. All items ordered has the same salty taste. Not value for money except for the atmosphere and live music. There are definitely a lot more better and cheaper choices along the beach.
