Ecco in Neuehrenfeld

One of the best places of the city. High quality food, authentic hospitality and very beautiful atmosphere. People with fine taste will definitely enjoy their choice.

It is not the first time visiting Ecco for brunch but it has been a while. Great to see they havent changed anything for the better (sarcasm). The food is really tasteless and bland. Its almost like everything is bought in premade with cheap ingredients. Honestly I have given up on the place. Did I mention way over priced €€. The coffee is also below standard. Just avoid the loud, overrun atmosphere and possibly just make brunch at home. Until there is a change of management and ownership that doesnt think about profits and actually entertains the idea of giving customers value with good service I shall not be visiting again.

Un po nascosto ma alla fine abbiamo trovato questo posto dove si può mangiare fuori senza dover stare troppo stretti. Il locale è invitante e accogliente. Il cibo ben fornito è molto buono.La cameriera è stata davvero molto attenta e disponibile.I bagno è pulito.Un posto da provare.

We ordered a gluten-free version of a burger. The waiter assured us this ones gluten-free. When we asked him whats it made of, he said seitan. Which is basically pure gluten. Please educate yourself and dont poison any more people. Coeliac is a disease, not a whim.

We had the truffle ravioli and the schnitzel and both were super delicious. Service is great and friendly as well!

10/10, vegan schnitzels were really good, very friendly atmosphere and good music.

We visited for a sunday Brunch. food was ok, the service was friendly and they even gave us extra dessert that was over from the brunch table.

Sehr leckeres Frühstücksbuffet am Wochenende. Gute Auswahl an veganen Speisen. Unter der Woche kann ich die Frühstücksplatten empfehlen. Sehr lecker. Kellner*innen alle sehr freundlich. Preis etwas höher.

Erneut, diesmal mit 7 Pers (m/w/ 50+am Brunch teilgenommen. Absolute Spitze! Sowohl das Bufett mit vegan/vegetarisch und normalen Speisen incl lecker Brot als auch die schnelle und korrekt gute Bedienung. Sind aus GL, Rösrath und Overath. Der Weg lohnt! Immer wieder.....

Sehr sehr sehr leckere vegane Vorspeisen Platte mit einer schönen Auswahl. Viele verschiedene leckere vegane Hauptgerichte, und zum Abschluss ein glutenfreier und veganer Schokokuchen der das absolute I-Tüpfelchen auf einem tollen Abend war. Ich komme gerne wieder.

Wir waren heute an Ostermontag dort brunchen. Hatten online über das Formular einen Tisch reserviert und bekamen ziemlich zügig die Bestätigung. Bei dem guten Wetter durften wir zwischen einem Tisch drinnen oder draußen in der Sonne wählen. Die Bedienungen kamen zügig und waren sehr freundlich. Als wir um 10Uhr da waren, stand erst das halbe Buffet bereit. Gegen 10:40uhr war dann alles von Angebot aufgefahren. Da war wirklich für jeden etwas dabei. Viele Vegane Alternativen, sehr gute Salate und Dips, Kuchen, etc.Leider war um ca. 10:15uhr das Brot leer und es wurde auch keins mehr nachgeliefert bis wir gingen, die Brötchen waren leider hart und trocken, da hätte ich mir etwas mehr Auswahl gewünscht, Körnerbrote, Baguette o.ä.Ansonsten sind wir gut satt geworden und waren zufrieden.

Onlinereservierung unkompliziert möglich und wurde innerhalb einer halben Stunde bestätigt.Das Lokal hat eine nette aber etwas kühle (Beton-Atmosphäre, die nur durch die farbenfrohen Bilder etwas aufgelockert wird.Das Brunchbuffet ist recht vielseitig und eigentlich für jeden Allergiker bzw. “Intoleranten“ was dabei....kann bei der Reservierung auch separat angegeben werden.Leider läuft die Organisation des Service nicht ganz so rund, daher sitzt man schon mal etwas länger vor seiner leeren Tasse/leerem Glas.Auch stünde dem Chef etwas mehr Freundlichkeit und Interesse am Gästewunsch besser zu Gesicht.So wurden wir zum Beispiel beim Betreten des Lokals (gegen 10.00 Uhrnicht wirklich beachtet. Als wir uns dann aber an einen Tisch am Fenster setzten kam der Chef dann angelaufen um uns an einen Zweiertisch in der Mitte des Lokals zu verfrachten, da lt. ihm sehr viele Gäste erwartet würden und die Fenster am Tisch für 4 Personen gedacht sein....überflüssig zu erwähnen, dass weder eine Vierergruppe kam um an dem Tisch Platz zu nehmen, noch dass das Lokal voll wurde...(wir sind bis 13.22 Uhr geblieben.)Coronanachweise wurden erst später, teilweise als die Gäste schon mit vollem Teller vom Buffet zurück an ihren Platz kamen, überprüft.Die nette weibliche Bedienung versuchte gleichzeitig überall zu sein und kam aus dem Laufen nicht mehr raus.Leider KEINE Kartenzahlung, NUR Barzahlung möglich...dass es so was heute noch gibt (!?!:-(Wir versuchen es nach Corona vielleicht noch einmal ;-)

Delicious vegan buffet on the weekend. Can highly recommend!

Sehr nettes und freundliches Personal. Das Essen war sehr sehr lecker und schön angerichtet. Im Hintergrund lief ruhige Loungemusik, welche die Atmosphäre gut abgerundet hat. Preislich schon etwas höher angesiedelt, aber im Gesamtpaket fair. War bestimmt nicht der letzte Besuch.

Great service, great food and all of it at decent prices. We ordered our drinks and food together and they both arrived very quickly. We paid in cash because we werent sure if card was an option.

The food was really good. We had Brunch buffet there in €14.90. The drinks are little expensive but made good and not included in the buffet. Staff is very kind, and speaks English. Will definitely recommend!

Ecco offers no-nonsense food: just delicious and lots of food. On the menu vegan dishes are clearly indicated, and the staff is very aware of both vegan and gluten-free diet. They are very helpful in selecting and/or adapting food to meet your diet. The food was delicious and the service great.We had a grilled mushroom and tofu salad and sweet potatoes on the side.

We chose this place because it was my girlfriends birthday and she is vegan (apparently this place is a MUST for vegans.)We were absolutely disappointed.We went for the speed brunch at 12.30, paid 14.90€ p.P and were excited for the buffet.There was barely any food left and after asking the staff if they could refill the vegan option, the response was quite clear when it never happened. The food, non-vegan just as much, did not look appetizing and the taste confirmed this. For a large orange juice we paid 4.80€, which is a ridiculous price for a non-fresh beverage. All in all, for the three of us, we paid 70€ for a poor brunch, that we could have done better at home.

Atmosphere feels a little more like a school lunchroom rather than a cafe and service was a 6/10 with regards to showing care, interest or joy in the job. We ordered potatoes that were just that - not a tremendous amount of effort is noticeable. Overall average place with vegan options if desperate.

I got a pretty heavy schnitzel which sadly had the same texture as the sole of a shoe. But we still really appreciate a vegan place.

I went for the brunch and I got the chance to try the „speed brunch“ which means that you pay 10,99€ and you have an hour to eat as much as you want. Such a nice idea! The food was not bad and they had gluten free options, veggi and vegan as well. The drinks were quite expensive tho ( there here the trick 😛)

Reviewing the breakfast/brunch buffet: overall the quality of the buffet is absolutely below par. I remember it used to be quite okay (some months ago), but from now on we will definitely skip the place. Most of the food is tasteless. They dont serve any dark breads. The chocolate muffin tasted old and mouldy, it was not fresh at all. The fruitsalad contained only apple (served in an absolutely disgusting syrup). Apart from the food the drinks are totally overpriced: 4.60€ for an Apfelschorle! Crazy. 2 stars just because the service was okay. Otherwise it would have been just 1.

A nice and cosy place for a drink close to one beautiful and alive square of the Sudstadt, Clodwiqplatz.

Finally a place that takes care of customers with special dietetic needs- gluten free/vegetarian/ products with allergen ingredients are clearly marked, and customers urged to ask for further food selection. Home-made, really tasty food, a great variety and menue that keeps changing. In my first visit they were not, however, highly polite, and that is the only reason i rated them 4. In all the following visits i kept being plesantly surprised- so now i claim it is the best place one can eat in Cologne.Endlich ein Platz, wo die Künde mit Sonderdiät (Gluten-intolerant, Vegeterain, allergisch auch eine gute Auswahl leckeres Essens haben! Selbstgemacht/gebacken, wirklich lecker ...Eine Sterne habe ich aber abgezogen wegen etwas unfreundlichen Service während meines ersten Besuch. Dannach aber war ich ständig überrascht und jetzt finde ich Ecoo das beste Restaurant in dem man in Köln essen kann.Konacno mesto na kome osobe sa posebnim potebama u ishrani (gluten-intolerantni, vegetarijanci, alergicniimaju veliki izbor jela koja su jasno oznacena. Po principu domace kuhinje, sve je ovde kuvano i meseno, i jako ukusno! Ponuda bufea stalno se menja. Jednu zvezdicu sam oduzela jer im pri mojoj prvoj poseti ljubaznos stvarno nije bila jaca strana. Svakom sledecom prilikom bila sam prijatno iznenadjena i sad tvrdim da je ovo najbolje mesto za klopu u Kelnu.

Went there with my girlfriend to have brunch on a Saturday. Food was really good with lots of vegan/vegetarian options and dishes you wouldnt usually get at most breakfast buffets. Unfortunately, there were only 1.5 waiters for the entire bar which was definitely not enough. Wouldve been 5/5 stars. Id still recommend Ecco - just dont be in a hurry.

Amazingly friendly staff. Really good food for vegans and non-vegans. I cant wait to join my wife who has veen living 100m away since August. This us going to be my favorite restaurant in Cologne.

Good atmosphere, nice service and lot of variety in food.They have tried to replicate meat taste and look with vegan items, which I didnt feel comfortable with. But I wouldnt criticise the idea behind it. Must try place.Pricey restaurant. Just have a look at the prices before you order.Personally I think this restaurant is aimed for non-vegetarians who turned into Vegetarians, but cant forget non-veg food. They come here probably to satisfy themselves to see stake made out of Soya.For a regular Vegetarian, please avoid this restaurant.
