East India Company Pub & Eatery in Winnipeg

I visited this place at 2:30pm on a Monday and it was really quiet. Im not really the pub type of person and that was the first time I had walked into a pub on my own.Really nice in there, I could have sat outside as they have a few chairs outside but trying to stay out of the blazing sun. Staff were also very welcoming and when I asked for pen and paper to scribble some things down, they provided.It was close to Fenchurch Street station so I managed to get my train on time.

Very historic Shepherd Neame pub . The name is the final nod to the notorious East India Company who ransacked India for profit

Marvelous historic pub in the heart of the City of London with loads of atmosphere and a real buzz. Friendly, efficient staff and a good selection of Shepherds Neame real ales which are obviously cared-for by the manager. Always worth a re-visit not least because of the occasional guest ale and seasonal special. Very much recommended.

Suffered from lack of clientele so very quiet.Very difffrom the very busy pub of when I worked in the City.

Used to be a Youngs pub when I drank in it….Ram Rod and Special certainly lit you up in the winter…lol. I worked in the Oil Biz, we used to meet there now and again, a proper London city pub.

Been my local in the City for 40 years. Great place to catch up with your mates.

Small City pub very handy for Fenchurch St station. Friendly staff. Normally have 2 Shepherd Name ales on.

Had to stop here for a quick pint, lovely old building amidst all the concrete and glass hi rises going up around it. Nothing special

Ive only ever been past, not in, which Google Maps seems incapable of understanding aint the same thing. Always seemed too full of City boys. But right now even a pub full of City boys would seem a wonderful thing.

Nice historic pub with good beer. Lots of intrusive dont do this notices and closing at 20h30. Not sure I will come back.

Proper Pub!! Came here on a Friday evening with work mates a couple of months ago and have been back every Friday since!! Amazing service and staff!! One of them being Christopher Dolan who’s service and attentiveness is next to none! Thank you Chris and the rest of East India arms!!

Lovely pub for a lunchtime or after work drink. Gets very busy though but all of the staff are very efficient especially Chris who always has a smile for the regulars! Great customer service goes a long way.

Friendly City pub, selling an unremarkable selection of keg and cask, but doing it well and serving it fast. It does exactly what its supposed to. I always take people here when I fire them, they dont cry cos its public and at least I get a nice pint while doing so. Ill be back (staff be warned). Ha!

City stalwart full of Insurance types necking after work beers. Small so gets packed quickly at lunchtime and at 5pm. You can drink outside when the weathers good. Staff are efficient and you are paying city prices.

Been here a couple of times in my travels. Quaint looking and atuck right in the middle of modern buildings. It can get packed with end of day corporate types (I always stick out). Still, love going.

Good pub and good beer, nice outside drinking & smoking area but did not accept cash. This time it worked out good as it was my round and only use cash in pubs, would return if someone else is paying

Decent pub, small, but good outside space, especially in the summer. The staff are really quick too which is a massive plus.

Small pub on Fenchurch Street. One bar, no food (just crisps and nibbles- but this is a positive if you’re just looking for a beer and to hang out.Decent beer, well kept. Friendly staff. Popular with the Insurance community, given it’s proximity to Lloyds. Popular with outdoor drinkers in the summer but pretty compact when it rains!

Great place just for catching up. No frills, it knows what it is and is still priced fair in an area of pretentious bars with pretentious prices. The staff there are great too.

Decent enough traditional City pub but doesnt do food, closes at 20:30 and pricey.

A terrific little pub on Fenchurch street, next door to the station and also the East India trading company building from whence it gets its name. Good beer, great staff and a delightful ambience. Generally a lovely place to visit for a pint.

Cool pub. It is small so draught beers are limited but still a good choice if youre around

Very tiny place, but to be fair, I was served swiftly by cool bar young lads, and its very traditionally designed, many people stood outside to drink, not sure how busy and tight it would be in winter or when it rains.. Im not sure if they have a second floor, they might do, I felt claustrophobic from the tightness, took my pints outside to drink.

Very pleasant traditional London pub. However when we were there 2 of the 3 draft ales were off so only had a choice of 1.

Friday 12/01/18Finished work popped in for a quick pint before heading home at 21:20 and was told by a member of staff that they were closing and they could not serve me thought thats strange as there were roughly 15 to 20 people still in the bar and the fact that its only 20 past 9 and low and behold just checked theyre info and they actually close at 11 so if your wearing work uniform basically dont bother as theyre snobby gits.

Great pub, cheap and lots of beer to chose from, including lots of real ale. Its quite small and usually busy so be prepared to stand.

Very nice, cosy little pub. Very small on the inside but if youre lucky to grab a chair or the corner sofa then youre in for a relaxed evening.

Little jewel-box of a City pub. Close associations with nearby Lloyds Register. Shipping memorabilia, photos and maps round the walls. Shepherd Neame beers. Very little food on offer, maybe no space to prepare it? Lovely drop-in for one or two. Probably closed at weekends.
