Kurseong, West Bengal 734203, India, Shiliguri
Scenic spot offering panoramic views of the surrounding plains & hills, plus an observation tower.
Loved the place. Is well maintained and the children park is beautiful
Eagle’s Crag, KurseongKurseong is a hill station in the town of Darjeeling which is in the state of West Bengal. In the Lepcha language it means the land of the white orchids. The weather in the town of Kurseong is always pleasant. The town is amongst the green canopy of myriad tea gardens.A well-kept secret from where one ca6n view an amazing sunset in all the desired calmness & silence. The most fascinating aspect about the Eagle’s Crag situated just a kilometre distance from Kurseong is that not many people know of it and hence there are few tourists around.Once one makes his/her way up the spiral staircase to the steel-caged observatory – the viewpoint, he/she is definitely in for a visual treat. The lookout point offers stunning panaromic view of the sunset and the lush green slopes around the small town of Kurseong. One can also see the river Teesta snaking its way through the valley. The Eagle’s Crag has an observatory close to it which is known as ‘Netaji Kothi’. It is called so because at one point of time it used to be the abode of Netaji Subash Chandra Bose. It is a peaceful place to visit and is famous with all the young couples.Perched on a cliff, the breath-taking view-point of Kurseong, gives a sweeping landscape of the surrounding mountain, hills, hamlets and slopes. Eagle’s Crag is the place to put your tired legs to rest and read a book, sitting at the quaint cafeteria that has a lovely watch tower and a flower garden. The panoramic view is any photographer’s delight. On a clear day, you get a magnificent view of Mt Kanchejungha and its ranges, the plains of Siliguri, the hills of Nepal, rivers and lush tea gardens. With an altitude of 4,800 feet above mean sea level, Kurseong is a beautiful hill station of North Bengal. Eagle’s Crag being one of its highest point also has a historic angle to it. This is a place that was visited by Rabindranath Tagore and Netaji Subhas Bose, who loved its serene beauty. Where the road from Kurseong takes a turn towards pine dhupi, right at the bend, one finds Eagle’s Crag. Many copper water pipelines are found along the road that carry water from a spring within the woods. However, the pipe connections at this part of the hill station dates back to 19th-century when Tagore, Bose and Sister Nivedita had been staying at nearby residences. Many of the old cottages are found even today, but being private properties, they are not much frequented by tourists.
Can witnesses the plains of Siliguri from here on a clear day! Along with the Kurseong town from this point there is a small park for kids to play around! But being surrounded by microwave towers and lot of communication devices wonder how safe it is for humans?
Nice place, but space very short
What a peaceful place !!😍It has 360° View 🥰If some Snacks would available there then it will be very good ☺️
Visited like 9 years back , well maintained all things there , nice .
Nice place for outing. View is awesome. You can have a wide view of kurseong hill and town from the top. There is a small park and canteen too. Overall a must visit place in kurseong

One of the famous tourist place and best park for childrens to hang out
Beautiful place around my area siliguri ,,, everywhere are tree , tea garden and a tall tower , where we go up and see the natures Beauty and observe it ..
It has a unique 360 degree panoramic view from the very top of the Kurseong town. Very steep uphill. One can see the reservoir of the Kurseong town inside the park. Entry Fee is = ₹ 10, per person. Children will love the premises.
Lovely point of feeling yourself. Not only with girlfriend but also with yourself. This place is so serene and tranquil. Soul of Kharsang.
Relaxing place, you get a nice view of the hills. In my observation its quite popular among local lovers for peaceful time spending.
Lovely place for Suside 😜dont know why locals call Suside Point .
One of the best view point I had ever seen. You can find best view of mountains from here.
The experience was amazing 😍🌲💚
Awesome scenic beauty...lovely experience ❤
Eagles Crag view point is the best place to get the picturesque view of the Kurseong town. The watch tower encourages visitors to click some good pictures of the school town and the valleys beneath. However the watch tower itself is very old and rusty. The park opens at 10 AM and closes by 5 PM. The road to Eagles Crag is very steep since it is located on a high altitude.Tip for vloggers : The telecommunication towers are located inside the Eagles Crag ,so this area has the fastest internet connection speed.
The Eagles Crag should be the obvious destination of hill lovers but not for mountain lovers. This sight will give you 360 degree view of the beautiful hilltown Kurseong. This place also give you the beautiful scenario of the city Siliguri as well as the majestic view of lower Rohini park and dam. Ropeway is under construction at this place, why it will be fully functional this will add more attraction to this place. This place is ideal for 1 to 2 hours roaming. Thank you everyone for read me out. Hope you will enjoy the place in near future.
Its a great tourist place. We can see a beautiful, peaceful and clear view if Kurseong. It is a perfect place to spend our time with loved ones.
Nice view point in Kurseong. Best place for kids since there is a park here.
Situated about 1 km from Kurseong station . Park like structure with a deck for some amazing views on clear sky .
Was good experience.Kurseongs top tower is there.
Nice place to visit. The watch tower is quite old and rusted. There is strong wind and cold when we visited during end of January.
Looking for a place to view the beautiful hills?Well this place is what youre looking for.Nothing beats this spot when deciding to relax and idle with friends, a good playing spot for Children , its a really good spot to come and enjoy with friends and family.
Most underrated place in Kurseong. When weather is clear, entire Kurseong is visible. If lucky, you can even see Kanchenjunga peak from there.
Good Sightseeing above Kurseong Town. Near TV tower. But its closed during our visit because of Pandamic
Awesome experience it was. THE VIEW FROM THE TOWER was amazing. The ambience was too good.Ticket fees only 10/- ruppes per head.If you visit that will be a memorable experience beyond the clouds & natural air flow
Best view point within 1 km of Kurseong Market... one will enjoy the best scenic views from the top
It is in Kurseong. We visited there during Sight seen of Kurseong. Most of the time it keep closed for renovations works going on. We had also bad luck. It was closed for renovations work going on when we visited there. We went there and seen it from outside. There are lot of Mobile and TV towers which make the place looks dirty and it also affected the local birds and animals. It is situated top of a hill. It is a children amusement park. As far as I know Kurseong area can be seen from inside the park. The view of hills surrounded it is very beautiful.I recommend must try to visit there if it is open. It is known as Eagles Crag since there are some Eagles always flying on the sky of surrounded area to find food. I thought the name came as visitors can see full Kurseong from top of the hill as Eagles can see everything from top as small.
Nice view point. A narrow single lane road leads to it. Then one has to climb few steps to reach top. Managed by doordarshan. Gates Closed on Sunday. But still one can have some view from outside.
Its a park on the top of a hill in Kurseong. You can view the whole Kurseong Town and around from that point. Its more like a sight seeing place. Good for couples . You can enjoy smoking there if you do.
Quaint little place from where you can gaze upon half the city.. best to visit at sunrise and sunset. The park has fun sculptures for children to play, a stupa like structure and of course the doordarshan tower.. park closes at 5pm.If you can do catch nice night lighting scene from here... Looks like a spilt pirates treasure..
The view from the tower is so mind satisfying. Must visit.
Wonderful place to have a 360 degree view of kurseong from the top iff you are lucky enough..because in august this place is under renovation..so if you r planning for kurseong then check the availability before the trip. The park is also attracting people for hang out with friends and family.
Not far from Kurseong railway station, this is a watch tower from where you can grab a 360° view of mountain range. But you should be lucky to have a clear weather. Currently in August this place is closed due to its maintenance work. So, check before youre going to visit not to be disappointed.
Currently this place is under repair, main gate is closed, however on request basis can be accessed inside to have lovely view of kursheong hill top. This place have a small tea garden also.
This place is very nice. The view is very beautiful.
This is an awesome outlook you must visit if you are visiting kurseong. The tower atop The Crag has an awesome outlook and the weather was awesome the day we visited.Would love to visit again.
A scenic spot , from which you can see the whole hillside. Nothing else. Roads to reach the place are tricky and accessible ONLY by 2 wheeler.
One of the highest point at Kurseong. Beautiful view. Flower Gardens are excellent.
its the best place for natural view. 5₹ ticket (when I went there on 2018). there are various flowers, seats to take rest, awesome cherry blossom (during winter),very nice view. we spent 2 hours there.
It is a must visit place in Kurseong.Entry fee for this place is Rs-5 only.It is the place where one can spend time with family, friends etc. There is a tower inside this place. The view from the tower is breath-taking.(Try to stay in the evening because it looks amazing at the time of sunset)
Must visit, 600 mts from Kurseong railway station, entry ticket is @5 and spend time with beloved
The place is serene and lovely. But should be maintained properly.
Wonderful place..Specially when you want to spend quality time with your loved ones. On the east you will find beautiful town of Kurseong with spectacular view of hills, forests. Lovely with loved ones.
Kurseong- The place of White orchids. Magnificient valley - Breezy and Misty - white orchids grow in abundance in this area and also is full of beautiful tea gardens, forests and year round vegetation on the hill slopes. From some parts of this lovely hill side , you get magnificent views of Mt. Kanchejunga, Kabru and Jannu, and the meandering rivers Teesta and Mahananda flowing downwards to the lower plains & medows.
A mountain view point near Kurseong. Nice place for Road trip in Bike.
Its 1km from kurseong railway station. Its a beautiful place amist green valley. Its mostly a park with a watch tower and a small water reservation pool. We went there in end of April, but it was as freezing as Nov. From the watch tower you can see a vast landscape of misty hills, green vallies and small towns. Its a windy place you cant keep standing there. Flower nursery around it is also worth visiting. There is Prasar Bharti towers near the place which can be seen from the place itself.
Best place to watch scenic beauty of nearby hills of kurseong and kanchenjungha. Road to this place is steep and you can come to this place by your vehicle. There is not so much fooding option available here. Sitting arrangement is avaialble inside the park. Clean and good environment to spend time with your friends and family.
