Sizable shopping center offering a variety of stores, casual eateries, a cinema & an ice rink.
We are here on holiday so lovely place walking around. Great day out.
Great selection of shops, cinema and ice rink
Different variety of shops and restaurants. Free parking on a Sunday, which is great.
A really good centre with plenty of parking spaces. Lots of shops a cinema and an ice rink amongst others. Go there on a Sunday for free parking.
Shopping centre needs to scrap parking charges and drop rent in emptier units to attract more customers and business
Had a wonderful afternoon shopping and in Antique centre.. then lunch .loved my day out .
Not great. Just seems to be nail bars and vape shops. Means theres no enticement to stay for shopping. Feel sorry for restaurants when footfall is so low. Get rid of parking charges would help.
Poor show ,feel sorry for the good shops that have remained biggest problem parking charges, theres.empty shops here that could house all the stalls from the main walk ways making mini market areas, the big Debenhams is one
Good shopping ,bonus that the mall has BANKS in it,good pubs to.
Great place to shop. Pity it has been put into administration.
Shopping center has went down hill. Got to pay for parking and not a good selection of stores. Better going elsewhere .
Big massive shopping centre very clean and nice
Apparently that the operator of the great mall have allowed themselves to go into administration. Poor management
Great place to shop, lots of nice value for money places to eat.
its been slowly dying for some time to b honest. Some of the shops are shut and looks dead imho
Great shopping and plenty of good places to eat will be doing my Christmas shopping there
Ok as a shopping centre. Not a lot in it now. Too many empty shops.
Not as many shops as previous visits. Good range whilst there.
Security are a joke think they polis. Good shops get what u need and leave its not a place u want to stay in
Choice of shops ok but having to pay for parking even blue badge is terrible
Not much shops left in EK centre. There is better places to go!
Town centre is unfortunately a shell of what it used to be, only reason i visit is for the odeon. The hub is absolutely devastated, but thats on the owners of the centre, place has horrible food at crazy prices, been to every single restaurant in the hub over the years and never had a good meal.Skating used to be busy on the weekend, even that’s pretty much dead.
Always liked EK shopping center, but as other places specially at top end was like ghost town ,is that big world buffet place closed ? Massive but was closed. And other end Debenhams miss that big shop ,more so in Glasgow.
Sorry place to call a "shopping centre". Not one quality shop there, all average run of the mill. Shame to see such a downfall in what was a great shopping complex with great mixture and choice of shops😕 . Sadly long gone 😪
Its ok nothing great it used to be a really good shopping centre with lots of different varieties of shops ..not now most of the shops have closed down due to the high rental price for the outlet they rent from the shopping centre
Loads of shops both for shopping and eating places ..had a coffee ☕️ in one of the shops and the staff were lovely
I enjoyed my visit to shops in East Kilbride. Loads of easy car parking.Lots of shops which we do not have in Kilmarnock.
To many big shops closing down but still good for visit
The shopping centre had a great variety of interesting shops. Lots of places to eat. Very clean and lots of parking.
Oh dear! Several years ago this was a fantastic shopping area but an awful lot of shops have now closed and the place just looks a bit sad. If you do go there, make sure you call in to Marks & Spencers. Its like entering the twilight zone! Hardly anything on display, no background music and hardly any staff. Its like shopping in a morgue!
What a shame this renovated shopping centre, is now a ghost town. The amount of shops closed and even M&S is a outlet or should I say a junk shop!!You would think the landlords would give shops a deal on rentals so its at least functional.
This Shopping Center is sadly one of the victims of the Pandemic. It COULD be one of the best... real SIX STAR quality... sadly because many of the bigger shops have currently closed it has become something of a ghost town. The EK center building itself is LOVELY - easy affordable parking, wide walkways and good lighting make this easily one of the nicer indoor malls. The sad part is that with almost all the big stores closed, as yet, there are no signs of any planned replacements.If/When some new shops open up this will be well worth visiting again. Ideally it needs a major food retailer to replace Sainsburys, and for perfection some form of department store, furniture shop or DIY / household store. Until then it remains mostly a sad echo of halcryon days gone by.I think we all know that the difficulty, for big malls like this, was that their rent pricing model was irrevoccably wedded to high footfall and resultant high rent value. Unfortunately the pandemic and the growth of online retailers like Amazon, has presented a major challenge to that model. It remains to be seen whether the owners of the EK complex can find an imaginative way out of this dilemma.I for one am hoping that they can, because as I have already said, as a venue, the EK centre is very nicely designed and potentially a great place to visit.
Being from East Kilbride I hate to say it but the town centre is absolutely disgraceful. Pay for parking to go to a ghost town, so many empty shop spaces, so many places to buy food but very little to do other than eat. Used to be amazing.
This used to be a great shopping centre. Sadly, too many decent shops have closed. Even M&S is an outlet store now with clothes no- one would buy - I dont know why they bother to stay open. On the upside, you can get parked quite easily now!
Most shops closing down. Not the centres fault I suppose but choice is low.Leaks in the roof all overLoving the new time wall towards the food area (most of them are closed now too.....)
Nice place to go for lunch with family and friends. However not a lot of things for children to do. A lot of the shops have went out of business and have been closed down as a result.
Very tidy shopping centre. Nice to see many of the retail units still open. Not the same in my local shopping centres.
We went on a very quiet day. Everywhere was clean and tidy, toilets were clean and overall a nice shopping centre
Had a Saturday morning here recently, and was pleasantly surprised with the range of shops available. Also first 3 hrs in carpark were free on the Saturday.
Lots of nice shops but only one charity shop, there should.be more, if not for that I would have given another star.
Not a bad shopping centre, still loads of unoccupied stores. Food court was busy with queues for most places. Plumped for Subway where we enjoyed a couple of good Subs.
**Those Debenhams images are old photos, most places are shut down, the place is left to ruins, restaurants in the hub are empty, have been for months, dont let these pics and fake reviews of "free parking fool u"Place is a ghost town, moslty charity shops and other shops struggling to stay open, leaks everywere, wet floors, barriers and cones in walk ways, and a fortune for parking, (only shopping center i know that charges parkingalso this center has rubbish shops honestly do not waste your time coming to this place, i will be surprised if it stays opened, i stay in ek, and travel to silverburn and breahead for shopping or ek retail park, i only go near this center because my son has to go to nursery situated inside the center, the nursery is the only good thing left in there.
Its got a few good shops and its okay for a coffee or sandwich but its massive and there are lots empty units. It used to be great in the 1990s so hopefully it will get better in the next few years. And there is an ice rink so thats fun.
I took a blackout in the car park thank you to the security guard/first aiders who came to my assistance as my 17 yr old daughter froze with shock.. thanks so much Alistair, liam n co. I have a massive lump on the back of my head as a reminder..they were top class.
Fantastic price wise and food is great staff are very friendly and happy to help 5 start well done
No worthy clothing shops available, and no advertising in shop windows to suggest anything is on the horizon. This place used to be a go-to, with no need to visit Glasgow but now I only go there for the cinema. Im keeping my fingers crossed it gets back on its feet quickly as its the heart of EK.
Place is dead. Barely two food shops in it now. But if you need a smaller version of shops you could drive to for a better experience then youll be happy.
Place is shocking. More closed shops than open.. More eateries than shops.. Really went downhill.. Rents too high so all the descent shops have closed... Shame.. Used to be a great place....
Stayed in the Ramada super clean, spacious rooms free parking directly above the huge shopping centre what more dobyou need. Very reasonably priced rooms to.
Lovely spot right in the heart of East Kilbride. Glen Esk Pocket Park is a wee gem of a place. The other photos are from High Nerston, looking over to East Kilbride baths, with Ardoch Rigg away in the distance. 😉
