E-Sports Bar KC in Shawnee

No. Just no. This place is not about games. Its basically a club. Took my son here. Regrets. No idea how theyre serving food when they dont have a kitchen. But thats another subject.

I had been invited here by a colleague of mine and I had expected that it would be very enjoyable. Upon entry, I paid $10.00 which seemed reasonable until I entered and the night progressed. I arrived around 9:10PM on a Thursday which is a sort of 2-Step Classes and Dance Night so I am told. The establishment had a reasonably sized dance area, seating along the walls, tables and chairs arranged throughout, a couple of game tables (i.e., large checkers and cups set up to throw ping pong balls into), bathrooms, DJ Booth, and an entrance area that you pay for entry at and you may be offered the option of purchasing items such as oils and lotions (I was not offered purchase of these but I overheard others offered the option of purchasing them). I remained optimistic in hopes that this establishment would be a pleasant experience but it was not. The bathrooms began releasing strong odors of raw sewage throughout, people kept spilling drinks near the gaming tables, and food was wasted onto the floors as well. I was never offered a menu nor did I ever see a menu. Since I saw food spilled on the floors and people carrying styrofoam boxes I realized that there was food served at this establishment (I saw rice and I think I smelled chili cheese dogs). After experiencing the odoriferous raw sewage, I decided to try to get a drink at the bar to minimize my acknowledgment of it at this point. Once at the bar, there appeared to be 2 servers. I waited, waited, waited…and waited. The server saw me but would not serve me. It was unbelievable. My colleague was able to get the waiters attention after noticing from afar that I was not being offered service but by this point I was not wanting to purchase a drink or patronize this establishment any further. I was encouraged that this establishment was a “vibe.” The vibe I sensed was a mixture of irritability and discontent. Despite the multitude of uninviting issues I experienced, I tried to make the best of it by dancing. While I danced, the stares of “who are you and why are you here” came plentifully my way. The only smile and kindness I ever received while here was from the DJ and I’m told that this DJ isn’t the routine DJ…but this new DJ was the only good contact I made while at this establishment. Since I am a Black professional, I make it a point of mine to patronize, support, and encourage others to go to Black Owned Businesses. This establishment has great potential but the establishment MUST become more inviting to ALL who pay to enter and treat us all as if we too are one of the more frequent attendees. Overall, I would not recommend this establishment as a go to source of entertainment in the KC Metropolitan area (Johnson County, Kansas).

Nice place to take the edge off and watch sports with friends and have a few drinks

Every time we go, its a positive experience. There are plenty of TVs, the crowd is chill.The bartenders need a bit more training, but theres a hard time finding bar and restaurant staff everywhere, so we understand. We go to this Sports Bar for every game, match, or Pay-Per-View event we want to see, in public. You wont be disappointed.

Had a great time at ESPORTS Bar KC! Plenty of space and Big screens at every where you turn your head. Didn’t feel crowded but chill crowd!

This is my favorite place to watch any major sport event. There are literally TVs visible from every location in the building. The drinks are bomb & creative. My favorite is the Jay & Bey (dusse w lemonade icecubes & something else bomb that I cant remember the name of.)I love that esports is right off of i-35. Especially since there is NOTHING else over there like it. If you’re lookout for a player atmosphere, beautiful & friendly servers with great customer service and an awesome sound system even when there’s not a sport event going on, this is the best thing Kansas has to over.Highly recommend.

This place is wonderful for gaming and party not to mention the food is extremely delicious..I love the down to earth atmosphere ...If you haven’t been to Esports bar KC you are definitely missing out

I always have a great time at E-Sports Bar KC! Its close to home and a great place to watch sports or relax after a long day.

Probably one if not the best place in town to chill listen to music and get a game in with your guys. Great prices and atmosphere at the same time. Also a great place for couples that are gamers to come out and enjoy each other.

One of the funnest places with great staff, owner and they are willing to work with any special occasions. Safe and Fun. You must try the wings.

I absolutely luv Esports Bar! The owner is super friendly, professional, all around just a nice guy! Black owned but everyone from all back grounds are welcomed and feel right at home while being at Esports Bar! He host all types of events from pay per view boxing, family fun birthday events, game tournaments you name it! I’ve always felt safe and respected while being at his establishment! I had my sons 11th bday party here and they had great customer service, and quick response via email regarding the party. I would definitely recommend this establishment for any private event for whatever occasion.

One of my favorite spots very low key chilled environment with great food and drinks. I’m not really a club person due to crowding and violence but at E-Sports I feel safe and I’m able to relax and just have a good time worry free

Great food, great drinks , great music and one of the safest places to be in the city. Rather it’s a reunion with old friends or meeting new friends. A great place for families and children as well.

Great owner, great bar, great atmosphere. Dont believe me, go experience it for yourself. You wont be disappointed. Its an experience like no other!!!

Great spot for children who enjoys gaming then at night a great SAFE place to have drinks, watch sports enjoy great wings and enjoy the vibe...... doing great things even if it is in Johnson county(lol)

An intimate space. Love the people, the vibe and the drinks. Definitely my go to place from my sons bday party, when I feel like a pool shark and when I wanna turn up! On top of that I feel safe !!!! Love this place !

What a fun and awesome spot for both the young gamers to the more experienced! My 7y/o absolutely loved it! Bonus, they rent out the venue to adults for silent parties and such!

Great spot. Love the atmosphere. Food is delicious. And they pour well! If U know what I mean. Bartenders treat U like youre welcome. And service is on point even when its packed. Shout out to Brandon and his team. Looking forward to my next visit.

If you are looking for a relaxed atmosphere where great people hang out, this is your place. E- Sports is a great place to have a party for the kiddos. Party packages are affordable. A great place for nightlife and to watch all of the sports you want. Great drinks, great food and great staff. I would recommend E-Sports to anyone looking for a nice safe place to hang out. I will definitely go back.

The Bar owner is super cool and operates and handles everything in a good manner. Everything is professional, grown, fun and relaxing and laid back! This is the place to be and needs more exposure E Sports Bar KC to the world!

We came in for my brother’s 21st birthday and was a little skeptical when we came in and the place was dead. We were greeted by Brandon the bartender, and were treated extremely well. He was super friendly, and made us some what I can call Adult CapriSuns- AMAZING! Definitely will be back.Thanks for the great service.

First visit and this place was amazing for a small business mom-and-pop. They were accommodating, but wish they had an overhead music system that could offer more.Great place for video games, arcade games, pool games, and watching sports!!!

This place is awesome. Great place to chill with friends, listen to music and game. There’s just two items on the menu but they’re great. The owner really makes sure he has the food on point. He was so welcoming and helpful. Great guy as well. Oh and drinks are cheaper here!

Went to my first silent party here, interesting new concept! I had a great time. Everyone should check this bar out. Have good food, and drinks while getting on 2k or Madden!

We had a great time at a Fortnite tournament. Only complaint: it was a little unorganized. Really friendly staff. Nice facility. Love the drink menu.

This is an awesome concept. I went here for a 12 year olds party but think it would be cool for both kids & adults. It has a full bar, food & has a chic lounge type of decor. The only thing theyre missing is old school video games to appeal to us 70s babies from the Atari & Nintendo era!

This place is awesome! They have over 30 Tvs playing sports plus they have Xbox and PlayStation hooked up and you can pay to play games...great place to hang out even better place to host tournaments. They also have pool and darts. Great selection from the bar and some nice signature drinks. They also serve some food. Ive only had the tacos and they are delicious. Plus if you are a DT Gold member you have a special hidden menu item and you get 30% of what you spend there back to use in the WV Economy ...use your money twice #Winning (I can get you more info on that @DreamHustleReality on the Gram)

I do not game however, when I come alongside my fiancè I do enjoy my experience. The space itself is very clean & the customer service is phenomenal! Not to mention they have a full bar (yassss).

Went to a party today the kids had a blast. Perfect for a party or just a night out with friends. Catch a game and play some games or console gaming too. Normally for 21 and up but can do kids parties to before normal bar hours!!!!!

It is such a good environment. We need more places like this is KC. Just a place that you could go have some drinks and play some games, or even watch sports games from your favorite team. I’ll definitly be returning to this places again.

Great environment! Im not even a gamer & I will go just to hangout, shoot some pool & play PacMan baby YEEESSS! Once I seen that I was all in!! And the drinks are great! Get a No Big Deal it will have feeling like everything is NO BIG DEAL!!

I visited this establishment a few times now and each time has been a pleasant experience! They go above and beyond to serve and its cute and clean. Try one of their signature drinks! I recommend the Wizard of Oz or the Cherry Cheesecake. Im not a gamer but I enjoy watching people play them.
