Dwyers Crab and Fish Restaurant - Seafood restaurant in Ketchikan, United States
Jamie gave us awesome servioe even though we the customers of the season.great food awesome view.
AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! Luckily they’re getting 1 star because if i could, I’d put nothing. We overlooked so many other great places in Ketchikan to go to this dump. When y party of 3 arrived, we waited at the counter to be seated. There was a young female employee who kept looking over at the door where more and more people kept coming in and we’re waiting. ZERO acknowledgment. I understand where the restaurant can be busy but at least acknowledge the fact you have customers waiting for 20 minutes now just looking around. How bad can it be to say “we’ll be right with you”?! Don’t ignore the fact that I’m standing there. I truly wanted to see how long we were going to stand there.. a total of 30 minutes had passed. I ended up going to the bar and just observed all 20 people standing at the door waiting for a table. We didn’t order food because we had no clue how long it would take and besides, we needed to give ourselves time to head back to the ship.We were at the bar maybe 15 minutes. Drank one beer and paid the bill immediately. It wasn’t until we started to get our things and leave that another employee finally went to get menus and start seating people. So now, and entire 45 minutes with ZERO acknowledgment of customers. Unacceptable and terrible service. And I’m glad we didn’t eat there because the reviews I’ve read are terrible. If you want to have crab legs definitely eat at Juneau or Skagway.
First time having grab and salmon, and man, we are sure glad we waited until we visited Ketchikan to try it for the first time! No fishy smell at all to the restaurant, I was nervous, as Ive smelled salmon at restaurants in the mainlands, and could never bring myself to eat it - cant do that fish smell. Our food was fresh, and the bartender showed us how to open the crab legs🤣 The salmon and crab were better than I could have ever expected. Highly recommended!! If youve never had either crab or salmon and have always wanted to try it, this place is one of the best - or if you love these things, this place may ruin other restaurants for you! Great experience!
Service was terrible, waited 20 minutes and left without getting served. Only two other tables with customers. Lots of staff standing around doing nothing.
This restaurant did not disappoint for our first Alaskan date! My server was wonderful and my Bloody Mary made my heart sing praises to the Lord. Knowing that the crabbers have been affected by COVID, fishery regulations, inflation, gas prices, I understand crab costs are up everywhere. My server suggested the one pound special and it was perfect. We also got the halibut burger which we loved. This was an extremely busy restaurant but they moved FAST. Highly recommend.
Wow. What a disappointment!Ordered the Crab Wontons on the waiters (Gabrielspecific recommendation.Nary a sliver of Crab to be found in the entire dish; about 8 wontons. What we did discover is that we paid $17 for a dish that cost the owner less than a buck in ingredients. Some kind of soupy, mayonnaise-like filling, covered by a pedestrian, overcooked wonton shell.Does the owner/manager have a grasp on what is coming out of the kitchen? If he/she does, for shame. At least for this item.We were a party of 6.The other items were average, at best.I should have checked the Google reviews, prior to entering. My mistake, as I now notice they dont even rate 4 stars.Im confident Ketchikan has some fine seafood restaurants. This is not one of them.
We were really looking forward to a clam chowder soup and fish and chips. However the service we got in this place was absolutely horrible, disrespectful and obnoxious. First of all it took a server quite a long time to get to us. Once he arrived we asked what dark beer you have. He told us: " here is the beer list" with the diissmissive look on his face and annoyance in his voice, that we " the paying customers" darred to ask him questions. Needless to say that the whole mode was spoiled and we decided not to eat there at all. The price in this place is trippled from the usual restaurant of this caliber.
Best crab legs we had in Alaska, and thats a fact. So juicy and sweet. We will never forget it.
Crab was definitely over priced for what you get.
Decent quality. Flavor was ok. The price and amount we got was ridiculous. Ordered 4 lbs, $390 w shipping and maybe got a pound of meat from it. Was pretty underwhelming what was delivered for what we paid. Does that look like 4lbs to you? Yea, me neither.
Wait staff was slow, inaccurate, forgot most items I asked for.The King Crab tasted fishy, and was only a tiny amount.Very underwhelmed…
Service was poor - Didn’t bother staying to eat here.We came here for a late lunch at around 3pm for a family of four. The hostess sat us at a small table and seeing as the restaurant was empty and we were very hungry (and were planning to order a lot), we asked if we could move to a larger table at the back. The hostess was very rude when she told us no. Apparently they have a policy that families of four are not allowed to be seated at tables for larger parties, even when the restaurant was practically empty. Another Staff member (who was much niceralso told us that we couldn’t use the larger table. I understand having this policy in place during peak business hours but overall, this seemed like poor restaurant management and unacceptable level of service. So we upped and left, and ended up eating at the Alaskan Fish House (where we tried every item on the menu and sat on a large picnic table that was pretty much double the size of the table that we were seated at at the Alaska King Crab Company).
Bar tender was cool, he made a couple good drinks, beer was good but hostess were rude. We didnt eat the food, we left due to how rude the hostess and waitresses were.
Great crab, odd hours depending on when the cruise ships dock.
Great food, great service, and priced well.
I pass this place everyday. I love the elevator!
Fantastic crab!
Pass on the fried cod.
Experience the history of crabbing while you dine on them.
We ate at the restaurant and it is on the 3rd floor, super hot and stuffy. They put us in a back corner on a broken, wobbly table. We were afraid our drinks were going to spill whenever someone moved. We said something to our waitress and she just laughed and walked away. Food was not that good for the dollar amount..
Food was ok, for deep fat fried cod. Table service was great. But the hostess was terrible, and sat us at a broken table that darn near dropped our food on the floor. Not impressed. Compared to other restaurants in the area serving the same thing. I would pass on this one.
To expensive for the amount of food youre getting
Beer battered Cod is really good, the Cajun Dungeness Crab sandwich was really a crab cake sandwich. Did not meet my expectations since nowhere on the menu it says crab cakes. Disappointed in the food. But service was great.
Our cruise ship arrived in Juneau quite early so we anxiously waited for this restaurant to open. We were not disappointed. Brantley, our server, was friendly, helpful and very efficient. My wife enjoyed cab legs while I opted for variety with the Captains Plate.
The food was good, but would have been better if it was hot instead of cold, and for what we paid for it should have been hot..I understand it was busy due to tourist but expected more..
Absolutely Amazing Crab!!
Hot crabs severed fast.
Great view if the cruise ships arent in.
Great king crab leg, but quite pricey.
I was very disappointed with the service. I waited patiently a good ten minutes. I had to ask twice is there anyone available to take my order. After the two waitress went back and forth about who serves my table I was finally serviced by a waitress. She tried to be friendly with a free clam chowder soup and free cheese cake because its my birthday. But I couldnt help but to notice how attentive she was with other tables. The food was good but the service really messed up my whole experience.
Amazing location, very convenient to the terminal but be warned, the street level signs put to the stairs and you my need to use the elevator to reach the 3rd floor
Food was fantastic...very expensive
Good food, great service
Amazing food, the wait was a bit long but the hostess seemed new and learning.
Tracking number is not functional and after repeated attempts to contact the company regarding missing order, received no response. Therefore I believe that this is a bogus offer.
Not open when we arrived. Late in the season everything either closes early or they leave town.A little overpriced as well.Just a tourist restaurant with high prices.Owner didnt like my review. Just avoid this place.
Amazing service and amazing king crab! They went above and beyond to ensure we had a superior experience, and we did!
I have ordered the king crab legs and the Gulfport shrimp. Everything was delivered fresh and frozen. Highly recommend.
Purchased 3 pounds at $198.00. Save your money and go to the local market and pay $25.00 per pound. Feel like I got scammed from the Facebook posting. I went and purchased 2.2 pounds from the store to compare. 60% Of what I got was the same size and the rest was slightly smaller. Wont go back, wont recommend.
Wow is all my husband and I can say. Great size and the flavor was exactly what we expected. Would definitely recommend and reorder!!
Not a good deal, I got ripped off! Please dont buy it. You get small pieces, 3X more expensive than buying at the store. Its not like they show in the video and the ad. Stay away!
Delicious. However, since I got 3 super colossal thats means about a pound each and I could have saved money with just getting colossal at a pound each.
We all ended up ILL after eating the KING SALMON. Careful with this product if you do not want to end up throwing up all night. When i contacted the company, i received a very impersonal message saying essentially we follow all FDA protocols. Take the risk for yourself, if your stomach can handle it! Otherwise, there are certainly other reputable firms i would recommend whose products have not made us sick.
If I could rate negative stars I would. Spent nearly an HR waiting for them to take our food & drink order. And when they finally came to us, o ya they didnt they passed out table and took someone elses order that just got there. Dont waste your time
Wow!! Awesome crab, and wonderful staff! Then live music, too! Thanks for your great hospitality. Try the Combo 😋
Awesome place to eat! The Red Crab was the best!
The Alaskan King Crab was Very Good!
Ive eaten a lot of crab on my Alaskan cruise so far, and this was by far the best crab in all the ports!!! If i wasnt rushed to get back on the boat, I would have stayed and eaten a whole lot more!!!
Crab is good. Beware of automatic 21% tips even for 3 persons (18% for waiter, 3% for kitchen)
