Family-owned eatery featuring handmade doughnuts, American breakfast platters, sandwiches & coffee.
We were here 7 years ago and it was exactly the same as this trip. Service was a bit slow but courteous, the breakfast burritos were delicious but I dont recommend the green pork chili on top, its very watery and makes the tortilla soggy. The queso and red sauce toppings were awesome. Good donuts and burritos to go are also great and convenient.
Good food and fair service. I always tip 80-100%. So if the server only got a 5-10.00 tip they were slacking. Coffee wasnt good but everything else was.
I like that this place has a to go spot and a sit down and eat spot. We chose the to go so we could get on the road. It is never enjoyable eating out of styrofoam. We had the carne asada burrito with queso, avocado toast, add a chocolate old fashioned donut + cinnamon roll for later in the day. We ‘a-saw-da’ NO carne asada in our burrito. The eggs were good on the burrito along with the peppers and onions. The queso was a curdled mess. The avocado toast was sliced avocado on thin sourdough. Red pepper flakes dumped on top. Nothing flavorful. Thee is a limited selection for a cheaper price available to grab and go. Coffee options. Donuts made in house. The chocolate old fashioned tasted oily and like the oil was old. The cinnamon roll was beautiful and large but not cooked long enough. Super doughy in the middle. We all love the center of the donut and disappointed we didn’t get to enjoy it. The place was busy. Our Monday experience was just off.
Excellent breakfast food! The donuts looked amazing! Great service even though there was only one waitress. They do serve lunch also. Highly recommend !
Great place. Serve only breakfast & lunch. Great service.Really good coffee. 👍
We love the food when it is made correctly. My girlfriend got the otemeal and it was like soup. WAY to much water. And she got the wrong topping. Asked for cranberries and got raisins. I get the breakfast burrito with Swiss cheese. And a lot of times I will be given a pre made burrito from the hot table. And have to wait 15 min. Not ok.
Wide selection of breakfast choices, excellent service from our waitress. The location on Main Street is very convenient, highly recommended f or breakfast or lunch.
Everything can be made to order including "boozy" breakfast drinks, our favorite being the southwest chai ❤
Good food and great service. Excellent menu choices and came out quickly. Great comfort food place would highly recommend.
Awful food. Low quality ingredients. Seems like everyone who works here is high school age. Our server was helpful and attempted to make up for the food with free donuts which was nice… but I immediately got sick afterwards and my husband couldn’t even finish his breakfast because it was gross. The coffee wasn’t drinkable because it tasted old. The fruit cup was non ripe pineapple with about five blueberries. The pancakes weren’t cooked through. My husband had chicken fried steak and it was rubbery and the gravy was old looking and tasting. We will not be back- which is a shame because we live right up the street
Breakfast was excellent...the sausages served with breakfast were excellent...not too salty, meaty...just delicious...
Its a local staple... but its not really FOR the locals anymore... I cant count the times moms with kids walked right in front of me in line paying g no attention to the line of 5 or so to order a donut, which is fine OCCASIONALLY, but it became the common experience... and rude folks just aint fun before coffee.., Ive been pushed out the door by men carrying a conversation as they walked out who just refused to show awareness of others at the door and had folks make simply putting cream in my coffee take up to 5min... so I mean, average for Durango.
Delicious Breakfast burritos at a great place!!! Very clean and well organized! Staff was very attentive to my needs.
Grab&go breakfast burritos are $10. They were $7. I understand inflation but it is a small burrito with not much flavor. Nothing special.
Awesome service, friendly staff, food was great. Raspberry donut holes were amazing.
We love the blueberry doughnut cake. Good breakfast burritos. Take out and dining, both experiences are good.
After 4 years of not coming to Durango I found myself here going to my favorite breakfast place. As usual it did not disappoint me. The coffee was perfect and the California omelet was yummy. The service was also excellent. 👌
The wait was fairly quick for a Sunday morning, and service was Punctual and friendly. The food was tasty and a good amount.
Offers a Gluten Free bagel. The bagel comes wrapped in foil. Which makes it easy to carry, if you are on the go. The jalapeño cheddar cream cheese was fabulous. I definitely cant wait to come back and try some if their beverages (Alcoholic and non alcoholic). 😋
"Best Bagel Sangwitch, This Side Of The Continental Divide!!!!!
Just go to Dunkin or Starbucks. The price and quality is better.Soda machine out of order, Latte for sale for $5 but rang up $9.50, food nothing to write home about. Service was great though.
I thought it would have fancy doughnuts, like the pictures online, but they were just normal ones that cost 2 to 5 bucks a piece. It was more breakfast place with doughnuts then specialty doughnut shop.
Wanted to dine in but there was a wait so we did the take out order. Had a build your own breakfast burrito. Yummy.A bit too pricey for what you get.
Food was delicious! The quick fix tea is amazing. A must try. We ordered 2 donuts to go and our sweet waitress gave us like 6!
$4.50 for standard size bismarck, $2.30 for standard size jelly, plus tax, plus they have the tip jar out expecting tips. Donuts tasted adequate, but nothing special. That’s $7 for 2 standard donuts that are nothing to write home about (besides the ungodly prices).
I ordered B&G for breakfast. It was not the best I’ve had, but not the worst either. The bacon was a more crisp/jerky like than I like. Would check other options next time I’m in Durango for breakfast.
Amazing service. The food was great. They were very busy and still managed to have quick service. Best breakfast place so far during the soccer tournament.
I think I just ordered the wrong thing cuz all the other things that my group had, were good I think. I got a carne asada breakfast burrito. It has eggs, cheese, potatoes, onions and steak in it. After a few bites all I could taste was potatoes. I opened up the burrito to look and seriously only found the smallest bits of meat possible. About six, maybe seven bites. I would have been better off just ordering breakfast potatoes which would have been less than half the price of my burrito. Infact my maple bacon doughnut had more meat on it. I was super bummed about my meal. But the doughnuts were good and our waitress was amazing.
So, I never tried this place due to the name, (just thinking of dough and carbsbut the breakfast is so good and so many options. The staff are all nice. Takeout bakery items to burritos, to sit and dine in service. They have lunch too (which all sounds good), but have always had breakfast.
We ordered to go. I specifically asked for no egg in my breakfast burrito. I like eggs but don’t care to eat them in my burrito. It’s a preference. The order was even repeated back to me and what did I get? A breakfast burrito loaded with egg. We were long gone to turn back. I ate it anyway but didn’t enjoy it one bit. And they’re also tight with the bacon. I had like two little bits if that. Same with my husband. Do better Doughworks.
We were visiting Durango and on our way out so we called in our order for pick up and specified some modifications for dietary restrictions, like no eggs and cheese. Upon getting back on the road, we realized that none of the modifications were accommodated. Also, it felt like they grabbed our food from the Grab ‘n’ Go section. For future call in orders, make sure the person repeats the order back.
Love finding local businesses when I travel. Coffee a great. Breakfast burrito was hot and tasty. Donuts we had were outstanding. The best chocolate old fashioned I have ever had. And the jelly filled donuts were second to none. Definitely recommend finding till works on your next travel through Durango
Durango Doughworks got us seated very quickly. Our waitress was very nice. She did forget my fiancé’s English breakfast tea but when we brought it up, she made her tea to go, comped it, and gave us two free donuts. The food was good and the donuts were better!! We highly recommend and will be back next time we are in town.
I really liked their concept of having the option to seat in or take to go. It was really good. I had the chorizo burrito and steak burrito and then a dozen of doughnuts.
The mocha and chia were amazing!!! I got a chorizo skillet, which was good, but the chorizo meat itself was a little lack luster in flavor. My friend got the steak skillet and it also was good, just again, the meat was a bit disappointing. It was more ground meat then steak he said. The staff were wonderful, helpful and friendly! I would return and try some more dishes!!
Business friendly staff that was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu and fast. Maybe a bit more expensive than average, but you get what you pay for. The food is definitely above average, with bigger than average portions. I got a breakfast burrito and it was delicious and definitely big enough. I would definitely go back. They also have fresh squeezed orange juice, very good! If you are wanting something sweet they can take care of that too. My donuts hit the spot!
My mom and I are sitting in the "donut office" thats what I call dunkin donuts... LoL! They messed up her sandwich not once twice... First gave her a avocado sandwich and then she got a sausage and egg sandwich THEN she took it back and again they messed it up!😡 frustrating! Look at the sandwich its flat! croissants are supposed to be fluffy!😠
On August 3,4,and 5th myself and my family ate here and the service was excellent… the staff made us feel like we at home… two excellent people I would love to let you know they are fabulous: Michelle the manager and especially Jazlin both are wonderful and deserve to be given HI FIVES for job well done
Great spot for a quick breakfast. Great doughnut selection, they even ask what filling you want if you get a filled doughnut, which is a cool add. The bagel sandwiches are hot and good, but pro tip, grab yourself a sauce to put on them for some added flavor. The americano is also good and comes really hot. Staff is friendly and they service each customer quickly.
No wait to be seated! We couldnt wait the times needed elsewhere, so when we found this popular take out place had dine in service, we were pleased. The dining room is large and tables pleasantly spaced. I ordered Eggs Benedict and they were just right.Parking is abundant and close in.Restrooms are taken care of.
All day breakfast! We ordered the dough works breakfast Burrito it was so yummy! And we got an apple fritters. Would definitely stop here again when Im in Durango! We only got a pic of the fritter as we were famished! Lol
Tasty mimosa and tasty breakfast. The coffee was perfect and had a good roast to where even just smelling it woke you up! Lol. I would definitely come back!
This is a nice little restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch. They also have a large selection of doughnuts and pastries. There is a sit down portion of the restaurant plus a counter server section for order. The service was good and the people were very friendly.
Its a cool coffee and donut stop.. unfortunately for us, there was only like 4 different type of donuts to choose from.. We tried the chorizo burrito and a chicken wrap. It was decent.
Service was ok, didn’t seem that people cared about the distance, was overcrowded inside. Food was really good but they ran out of doughnuts. Get there early to get some.
I spent just under three weeks in Durango for work and went to Doughworks for the convenience as it was just down the street from my hotel. My experience was hit or miss. Some days the staff was friendly, the coffee was hot and the Chorizo Breakfast Burrito actually had chorizo in it and other days the staff was borderline rude, coffee luke warm and the chorizo and egg burrito had nothing in it but eggs.Several times I ordered the "The Big Cinnamon Roll". It should just be named "The Big Roll" as there is a very minimal amount of cinnamon if any at all. See attached pictures. The only consistent product they had was the little containers of salsa and sour cream to put on the burritos.
Absolutely the best sausage gravy Ive ever had. The chicken fried stake was fantastic. My wife ordered the Denver Omelet she said it was one of the best shes ever had. The staff was super friendly and helpful. This is our new go to when we come to Durango. Get them a try you wont be disappointed.
Stopped here for brunch on my way back to Arizona after a weekend of boarding at Purgatory, and it was amazing. Small hometown feel between the quick, friendly, and knowledgeable service to the delicious, generous portions of the plates. Definitely a spot I would recommend and go to again.I had the Egg breakfast with over-medium eggs, home fries, toast, and extra bacon. Cant go wrong with the staple, and the 3 others in my group loved the whole experience.
Delicious all-around. The grab and go breakfast burritos and bagels came in all different flavors and accommodated different dietary needs. Some had no cheese, no egg, no meat, etc. My boyfriend opted for an Asiago bagel with cream cheese and I swear to you, this bagel tasted homemade. It probably is! Truly a step above most bagels I’ve ever had. They offer free WiFi and have a huge selection of tables and items to eat. I would recommend this place to friends and family, for sure. Thanks for the great experience!
Great breakfast! The doughnuts looked superb. But I was too full after pancakes and bacon! Wonderful service and the coffee was great and free refills. Table service was amazing. Can’t wait to go back! Good service friendly faces, comfort food, what more can you ask for!
