Small place, but great atmosphere! Good beer and a good place to meet with friends!

Terrible service. Staff refused to even look in our direction. We left after 15 minutes of being ignored and two attempts to ask for help/service at the bar.

Generous pours on their drinks and incredible fries. The staff was polite and helpful but left you alone while you were chatting. Absolute professionals.

Sign says happy hour until 7, but bartender says “no” at 6:45, and blames their computer. What a joke lol

It wasnt "my vibe" personally... but it was a great atmosphere!!!

Closed at midnight and didn’t serve burgers the last hour. Used to be a place I would recommend to everyone but now I don’t know.

I walked by here lots of times and always wanted to stop. I did today and glad I did. Had there hamburger basket and it’s definitely one of the best hamburgers I’ve had , and very reasonably priced. Waitress was awesome!

This a a Grand Rapids classic, cool vibe to the place and a very diverse and welcoming group of people there. Great dive bar to get beer or simple drinks with friends. Staff were friendly and drinks were cold, what else could you want?

Holy horrible! Went in for happy hour, 3-7. Got there at 6, every single food and beverage was not rang in on happy hour but full price! They said they give half orders for the apps(never heard of thatand no excuse for the drinks. That is not advertised and we specifically asked when we ordered everything. Our server also ignored us when we tried to flag her down. They gave us no itemized receipt either so we had no idea what we paid for. When we finally got one, we realized why we were charged way higher than expected. We won’t be going there again!!

My 25 year old friend went here tonight. They took her ID, called the cops, and won’t give it back until they come.. so that’s cool. Maybe teach your staff how to identify what a real ID looks like and you’ll get business. Won’t be back and don’t recommend you come here unless you’re looking for a buzz kill on your fun night out. 0/5 stars.

Great service and some pretty good food for this small bar located on Michigan St. My son amd I ordered some fries, and some cheese balls ? Or curds? They were excellent in taste and cooked just perfect. Also we have been there as of late and ordered their chicken strips. They too were good on taste. If you have time give them a chance and stop in.

Everything about this bar is great! Great music amazing environment beyond belief service!

First time visiting here. Servicer was fantastic. The 3 beautiful women that served us were friendly and were quick to our table for refills. Food was good. Had a great time, thank you ladies

Sweet, one of the few places you can still hang out during the pandemic and still feel comfortable. The staff is extra cautious and it shows, but also warm and welcoming.

Good drink and food not so much on the service. Interested in regular activity thats why its not a 5*

Went for the first time with friends and it was great! Patrons following the rules wearing masks! Nice to be able to go out in public and have respect around you and get to go out and enjoy being with friends and listening to some music at a bar!

Bartender turned us down for no reason. Went there for a drink after dinner. Turned into bartenders bf trying to buy us over. Very uncomfortable.

Best service on Michigan St or in the state of Michigan. I wish I could pick a favorite but every bartender treats everyone like family. Best place to visit on Michigan St. Cant comment on the state of Michigan but if you find a better group of people to make you feel at home whether your a block or a contingency away. Good luck.

Dukes is like a speak easy from the twenties. It does not matter if youre black or white. So long as youre there to have a good time and respect others you will have an awesome time. Staff is friendly and attentive.

When in town, Do Dukes! So many beer choices on tap! Customer Service is super above. Local crowd is right down embracin! Chicken wings and with the house sauce is super delicious. Watch the game on screen. Play pool. Good food menu!

Had a great pattymelt here my partner had the house burger. Enjoyable food that arrived quickly for such a tiny kitchen (only thing I would have changed would have been the lays chips on the side)But awesome service and a lovely crowd to enjoy a few beers with.

It was a fabulous experience, the most wonderful girl with the most lovely eyes, made me stay much longer than I should have. Good beer good fun, party on Garth!

Dukes has improved since its remodeling. The bar is more spacious and alive. The atmosphere has come a long way and the staff is just as good as its always been.

Friendly staff and quick service makes this bar a top pick for me bathrooms are clean and for being a smaller establishment theres plenty to do

A nice place to go and have a couple of drinks with friends. Warm friendly courteous and a great crowd of people there. Even if it was during March madness.

What can I say, this place is cool! I love the open feel because of the new windows. A pool table, very well laid out, clean bathrooms, I like it!

They seem to always be open, and they have great beer prices/selections and a good selection of spirits too.

Dukes is a multicultural, alcohol fueled, social palace. Most patrons ignore the big flat screens in lieu of a conversation with whover they find next to them at the bar. The waitresses and bartenders are outstanding, just give them a minute because they are generally busy tending to the satisfied masses. If you dislike Dukes, you are welcome to wander down the street to Three Monks for high ceilings, shiny chrome, tight man jeans, & over priced drinks.

Dukes hosted a private party for my work (a large local hotel management companyand Becky was fantastic to work with! We were able to bring in a caterer, DJ and "own the joint" for the evening. I cant say enough great things about Becky and her team. They all took such great care of us and even special ordered particular wines for us. I think Dukes should host more private parties and since this one went so well - maybe they will!! :)

Nice cozy Grand Rapids bar. Its a modest place, and has a sports bar feel to it. Service was good, they had a waiter at my table almost immediately. Drinks are stiff, and prices are fair.

Servers and bartenders are fast and friendly here! Great spot to watch a game or play pool. A long time staple on Michigan Street. Love a bar that has free popcorn!

Wyatt and I had an awesome burger and fries today. Excellent service. Happy hour regulars integrated us into their pool game. A+

Stopped in for a drink after a hard day at work... stayed for two and a burger. The bartender was wonderful (and cute). The food was made with love. The drinks were strong and just what the doctor ordered! Im a very happy. Customer! Why havent you already gone here?

A friendly hole-in-the-wall with a crowd of all (legalages. I wouldnt expect a fight to break out here, but if at 1am one did I wouldnt be surprised.

The bar staff is very aesthetically pleasing in your money will not be wasted here. This place is absolutely amazing!

Drinks are nice and sturdy. Service is always great, good people. Food is absolutely terrific! I do recommend the Cordon Bleu. Sub the bun for grilled bread. Best choice youll ever make in your life!

Ive been here multiple times, both for food and drinks. The lunch menu is pretty simple but the food is surprisingly good and well priced. Id recommend it for lunch, although it was a little slow.

Becky is a seasoned bartender at Dukes and a great people person. I cant think of anyone else to do a better job managing this local hangout. She makes a great Burger and turkey Reuben as well!

Terribly rude service. Watched them mouth obscenities the instant my friends and I walked in. Very rude to my girlfriend because her ID had a mandatory battle Creek sticker on it that they thought was fake. After making a huge deal they still served her which begs the question what was the point....

Interesting folks at this place a lot of times. Regardless, the staff is cool and its a great place to hang out when its quiet.10/10 would duke it out again.
