Duffy Cafe - Cafe in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea
Duffy Cafe in Port Moresby
Description
The best thing I love about Duffy Cafe is the location and the dine in atmosphere. A bit pricey, but it sure is a great place to catch up for lunch with colleagues and friends..my time at BSP Gordons Commercial had a few of us going there for coffees and hot chocolates any time in the morning till lunch. They deserve a 4plus rating because there is class and decent customer service rendered.
MoreNice hot food and place is tightly secure. Good place for business met up and a date with your special someone and with your kids too 💕
MoreCoffee always good. Breakfast not so good.
Meals should be served at the same time for customers dining together.... service was slow even after lunch crowd was gone.
MoreA bit expensive but their food, service and restaurants are great. Best waffles youll find anywhere.
MoreThe slices of carrot cake and red velvet cake that my friend and I had were extremely dense - almost brick-like and definitely not worth the amount charged. The coffee tastes burnt - like the beans have been over roasted. This appears to be the signature coffee taste though so perhaps its just not my kind of coffee.Could have been an off-day, but for the prices charged, there really shouldnt be any off days 🤷🏽♀️
MoreGood lunch spot. New menu additions
Nice place go for lunch meeting
Odd location. Pricey but excellent food.
Lovely and clean environment, well secure, customer service was on point. Coffee was great
MoreA bit pricey but Id say the quality of the food and drinks and the friendliness of the staff more then made up for it. The food is awesome and the coffee is to die for. The location is also somewhat of concern because there is very limited parking space but its well worth the effort. Its a great place to try and I fully recommend you do try it out. #Moneywellspent #coffee #Duffy #cafe
MoreLoved it! Definitely a place I will be returning to constantly!
Best place to grab a bite, serve the best brewed coffee in Port Moresby.
Through a simple door on the street you could think you have been teleported to a Cafe in Melbourne once inside. From the security on the street to the ladies behind the counter, the service is impeccable. A great breaky and lunch menu along with a wide selection of ready made sandwiches and other braked treats. Coffee is on point. I cant go past a mocha with my chicken banh mi. You wont be disappointed.
MoreIts good place nice atmosphere, but the Chips are not nice
Nice place, good atmosphere, only the quality of the food needs some improvement
MoreIt was a lot of fun and it was a great night at duffy
Quiet/nice area/abiding to the C19 protocols/ice creams/cakes/quiet a variety to pick from/ enjoyed the blended fruit juices: detox vitC.
MoreThe coffee selection is decent, and the local is safe and well decorated, friendly staff.Price point is ok but some might find it a bit over the top.Bakery on the other hand is where it fails, no proper French bakery selection, dont expect Croissant fourre with almonds or millfeuile going there .The ones I got, tasted more bread than whatever printed name on them.If you looking for a decent coffee a nice snack and good place to hang with friends of family this place will definitely do. But if you looking for delicacy you out of luck.
MoreGreat place for a coffee session to do business or hangout with friends to catch up on life.
MoreNice breakfast, their brand of coffee isnt for my palate, very fruity after taste, but nice setting and good food
MoreNice place to runaway from reality to enjoy your me-time over a cup of tea/coffee. Love the colour scheme used in the decor
MoreHavent been inside but baker boy is a nice place to eat
Great coffee as well as q charmingly casual for catch up venue. Try the crepes out!
Moreoverpriced food. nothing special.
I love the Food and drinks served there
Clean, food is good, a bit expensive and pricey, but really good quality.
Love their almond chocolate croissants😍 absolutely delicious.
This could be a first class cafe anywhere in the world. Everything we have tried so far has been superb, from exceptional coffee to delicious food, you can expect delightful quality. Prices are on the high side for PNG, but you get what you pay for here. Try some of the packaged coffee to take home. Good quality, friendly staff - world class.
MoreGreat little cafe tucked away behind Hitron in Gordons. Theres the high level of workmanship to the shop fit out and furniture and the staff there are friendly and attentive. The menu is diverse and well prepared. It is a bit pricey but worth it.
MoreLovely set up, but location wise, make sure you park somewhere safe and look out for traffic if youre parked on the other side of the road, good coffee.
MoreFriendly service and breakfast was the best. Definitely coming back.
Great place for coffee or breakfast and customer service is great but would give 5stars if they have a car park.
MoreReally nice atmosphere, lovely staff and outstanding freshly prepared food.
A hideout amidst the hustle and bustle of the outside world. Quiet, clean, buys local coffee beans plus pastry and cakes made to different tastes ready to go..Had a cuppa coffee and slice of cheesecake. Will go back again.
MoreVery expensive. I.e. 30Kina or approx $12Aud for a B&E roll. However the coffee and the b&e were delicious
MorePNG, Port Moresby is one of the beautiful cities and tourist destination in the world, a host city of APEC 2018. A city with people from more than 1000 tribes, divers culture and traditions. Very nice and friendly people rich melanesian tribes from the islands to the coastline and up into the highlands of PNG where by shared one common goal and that is to seek better and improved morden life. Live in United PNG.
MoreGot today’s lunch here, also bring some coffee to home: Dark roast, Highlander and Fuzzy wuzzy
MoreThey have two cafes. One is situated in Gordons and the other one on at Waterfront. They brew good coffee and their food is excellent but extremely expensive.
MoreOne of the nicer places in Port Moresby. Good variety of food, great sitting place, usually crowded in the day with mostly foreigners having lunch. Serves some really nice crepes and coffee.
MoreThe GoodCool ambience. Always running into familar faces. They sell coconut water and have a great timely system setup to ensure food is not delayed. Coffees are on point, although the staff seem to differentiate between an esresso and a short black, so be careful if you just want a shot of coffee or a shot with a tad of hot water. The UglyA get away for brunch or late lunch but be warned, its an awkward location with carparking an ongoing issue so avoid the peak times by popping in before or after lunch hours. The BadThe biggest gripe Im holding is against the menu. It is rigid. A mountain cannot be moved, or so Duffy seems to suggest. No flexibility with ordering off the menu or adjustments to the menu. They dont even do bacon, eggs and sourdough toast! A kitchen seems to exist in the back but it might just be to the microwave or heater to reheat the food. But this is Moresby, and we see mountains coming down. Maybe one day this mountain too shall be moved.-Hans
MoreDuffys is s nice safe expat place for coffee and sandwiches. They shall specialize in fresh crepes.
MoreGreat place for coffee and a bite too eat. Busy most day. Good selection of pies sandwiched waffles and juices. Safe with some of Street parking.
MoreConveniently located off Henao Drive, Duffys offers the best coffee and pastries in Port Moresby. The premium pricing doesnt deter consumers from frequenting this popular establishment in the busy Gordons Industrial area.
MoreGreat food, great place.
For coffee its either this Duffys or the one at Harbourside. Very expatty, which can be regarded as good or bad. Popular for breakfast on weekends. Good for business meetings weekdays by acoustics can be noisy.
MorePretty good cafe overall! Needs some consistency for products though. Eg; carrot cake can be great sometimes, dry and flavourless other times. But good atmosphere, secure place.
MoreNice place...for romantic night
The service is a bit slow and it is pricey (but then everything is expensive in PNG). The food is really good. Atmosphere is also nice and relaxed. Very popular hangout for expats.
MoreThere is no cafe in Port Moresby such as here. The taste is good enough and the atmosphere is awesome. At the upper floor you can enjoy some goods of Duffys selection.
