Great Bar with cool regulars. Nice place to enjoy a game or smoke a cigar. Liza, the bartender, is pretty good too.

Liza is the best bartender I’ve ever had in my life. She’s 10/10. I will go to this bar any day just because of her. She’s the best company, and she CAN COOK. Her food, drinks, artistry, and creativity is top notch! I COME SEE LIZA YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED!

Overall, I enjoyed the evening at Ducktail Lounge. Bar area and bathroom were very clean. The bartender was great. They also had karaoke, which I love. However, the bar was cold! I was tempted to keep my winter coat on inside the bar. The karaoke was fun, but they played music videos between karaoke singers, although they did have an option to request videos. But, I came there to sing. If I could have given a 3.5, I would have.

The bar has a nice relaxed vibe. Fireplace and couch is soooo chill I think the bartenders name was Liz not sure but the service was on point. Also that girllll can cook

Nice cozy little neighborhood bar. Moscato was a generous pour and very reasonable at $5 a glass. Service was great.

Not to be confused with the Disney series. Nice low light ambiance with a home like feel. They can make nice mixed drinks, have cigars (I love the acid cigars myself). Will come back.

Great bar with great staff (Callah is an amazing bartender!and great selection of different whiskeys and other drinks. Patio is comfortable and warm if you need to make trips outside when you’re drinking!We hadn’t been out to Ducktail in a while and ran into the new owner who gave us a couple drink tokens - but we ended up staying for a few more! He was a super nice guy and seems to be running the place really well.Music is good, but not loud to make things uncomfortable and make conversation impossible like many places these days.If you’re looking for a place to grab a drink in the entire metro area, Ducktail Lounge is an amazing choice and should be at the top of your list.-Bathrooms are clean-Bar smells good-Bar, tables, floor are all kept clean

My wife and I stopped in yesterday for the first time. Drinks were great and reasonably priced. The owner was there and introduced himself to us. We will definitely be back.

Friendly bartenders and amazing lemonade drinks! (I forgot what it’s called😛Patio could use some help though. The green carpet gets snagged on chairs and tables and if you’re wearing heels it’s a tripping hazard after a few drinks for sure.

Old school neighborhood bar with an atmosphere straight out of your rich grandpas study. Expansive cocktail menu and very tasty martinis to choose from. A couple regulars made sure we knew there was sloppy Joes available for consumption as well, and I will definitely be going back for that another Sunday

Niles always does a fantastic job with serving drinks. One of my go-to places for a quiet relaxing drinking experience with friends. Drinks are very well priced and usually apps are available free of charge.

Excellent, much quieter (and, in my opinion, preferredalternative to Mickeys across the street. Great selection, especially if you appreciate martinis, mixed drinks, or scotch!

My first bar I went to in Des Moines. Still going back 12 years later. My favorite. Generally quieter with good service. Darker atmosphere.

Not too trendy but not a dead space either. The group liked the bartenders martini creations. Some darn decent beers available.

Always a great time when I stop for drinks with friends at the Ducktail Lounge, which I always misspeak as Ducktails. They are a hotspot with the Des Moines Cycling club as well as a great place to play Cards Against Humanity and figure out how sick and twisted your friends really are. The bartender is great and the snacks and happy hour on Fridays are fantastic.
