Was at Wild Lights. Had a nice walk. There was small places to eat and get snack, hot drinks. Couple cute souvenir places with Christmas decorations but a bit expensive. Parking was easy to find because theres a lot of places for it.

The wild lights festival is fantastic - I was a bit skeptical going as I thought it could be over the top, but it is actually well organized and in tune with the surroundings! Felt like an ‘Alice in Wonderland’ type of walk - highly recommended!

Dublin was one of the best activity for kids and family. A must visit if you are in Dublin. One of its kind, spacious and it seems the only zoo where animals feel like jungle. Wonderfully managed by the team there. Is safe for the kids extra layer of security specially from dangerous animals and still keeping the good points to view them. It’s highly recommended to purchase tickets in advance with family packages to get discounted prize. Don’t forget to the the memorable family picture hardcopy at the entrance. Overall it was an amazing adventure for the family.

Lets start with the booking system: excellent. Im not sure if we got lucky but its much better now than my last visit.Anyway, you dont go to a zoo to talk about people or the tickets!!The zoo itself is very well laid out. Its easy to walk around and theres plenty to see and do to keep kids (and adultsoccupied. We brought a packed lunch and spent several hours exploring. Its great to see so many different animals. The exhibits are also very informative.Parking is free and close by.

The zoo is nice. There are a wide variety of species here. A lot of areas to learn and play for kids. Id recommend bringing a packed lunch if you dont want to spend a lot on food. Definitely recommend a picnic in phoenix Park before your visit.Id go early and on a day with nice weather or the animals will probably be sleeping 😴

the zoo is always a fun day out but I feel there isnt as much animals as there used to be, been 3 times this year and its just the same old thing. the greenery and how the zoo looks is always great. I was very impressed with how clean the toilets where . most animals are just too hard to see.

Visited with a 2 year old midweek. The place wasnt too busy and had a good time but it was a bit disappointing. Its quite expensive considering we didnt see more than the 3rd of the animals and you dont even get a map or something for that price. Needs more signposting, make it a bit more clear where everything is. Yes there are big maps around the place but that wasnt much help. We missed a couple spots because we didnt know which way to go.We didnt purchase food, only some ice cream but the food prices are pretty up there. All in all it was a fun day out but theres room to improve for sure. It helps to know that even though the tickets are expensive, at least they go towards conservation projects!

AMAZING ZOO.We went there in 2019, but i still remember every single detail about this zoo, so I guess is definitely a remarkable place. By the only photos that are still in my gallery you can probably guess which were my favourite animals🤭🦒🦒I can recall that the water aquarium with the seals was very interesting too. The magnet I bought with the photo of a seal in the pool is still one my favourite magnet in my collection. 🫣

Great zoo! Amazed by the space they had for all the animals. Some animals were summer snoozing but we had a great day and the kids loved it. Lots of seating to stop and take 5, water stations to refill your water bottles dotted about. We got a great weather day which made the day.

We had an overall nice experience at the zoo with 3 adults. Tickets are a bit pricey and the theme of the zoo is definitely targeted to children and families. They have a large selection of animals, some very hard to see/hidden away or at times an empty cage with no signs indicating if an animal was present. We walked around the entire large map which took about 2 hours, including indoor exhibitions and eating.Food was ok.Very accessible and staff were always around. Toilets, emergency rooms and water fountains were spaced well.

Nice visit, was cool to see most of the animals (snow leopard & red panda were cute). For a less crowded visit, the Mornings are Best But you get to see fewer animals. Has all Amenities.

A well-maintained and fun zoo. Not as large as some other zoos in Europe, but still enough for a family day with small kids. There are also small playgrounds and places to buy food inside. It is somewhat pricey for the whole family though, but it is one of the most popular attractions in Ireland.

We always enjoy the zoo but in recent years it is hard to see much improvement in the animal welfare despite some redesigning. The ticket to enter is good value, however the food is very expensive and mixed quality, we were there last in mid August 2022 and lots of things not open, still the kids still had a great time.

An amazing place for kids and adults to spend their time at. Lots of animals to see and the zoo is really well maintained. The staff are lovely and helpfull. You would need at least 5 hours to see the place. But 7 hours would be better to walk around and enjoy every single exibit.Tip: Bring food and water.Plenty of public toilets and drinking water dispensers. There are lots of small cafes.Enjoy 😉

Enjoyed a lovely afternoon at the zoo with plenty of amazing animals too see. The enclosures look nice and the animals well taken care of. As a person who normally doesnt like zoos, this one was quite pleasant.Price for an adult ticket was just under 20€ and there are rest areas and restaurants around to take breaks at

The best zoo Ive ever visited. A huge selection of animals and even on a busy day, it was easy to see them all. I recommend booking tickets in advance to beat the queues into the zoo and also buying a guide which gives you a map. Leave a full day because there is plenty to see. A lovely day out!

Not as good as other zoos I have been to see. Not sure was it the warm weather or was something else going on in the park, but so much was closed off or closed in general. We seen very few animals in a 4.5 hour visitNo lions, tigers, snow leopards, to been anywhere. The worst penguin setup I ever seen being honest and the place could do with another 50-60 sign posts telling people where animals are or to go.I felt like we had a better time at Fota in corkThe giraffe section of this zoo was great and you get to go really close to them and see them eat as well as the elephantsOverall the entrance price is not as bad as some zoos I have been to but I felt like we seen very little animals compared to those other zoos

Lovely place to visit, animals all look well taken care of (you wont go home feeling sad )But signs of zoo suggested route to follow needs to be displayed around. So if you decide to go backwards to see something you missed, you dont have a spend half an hour looking for exit turning around in circles 🤣Because all signs have entrance and exit on them. Just show me an arrow to follow so I feel like I have my personal tour guide. Smile 😊

Grand Zoo, well trained staff, good pricing, amazing enclosures built to the comfort of the animals. However when I went yesterday, I walked around the whole zoo for 3 hours and half the enclosures were empty which left me exhausted and frustrated at the overall experience.

First time visiting in years and was pleasantly surprised to see it was better than I remembered. Toilet facilities have been greatly improved (though some of the flushers need to be repaired)Food was quite nice also. We had the Wild Burger, €14.50 for Meal Deal, but high food prices are to be expected in these places. One gripe was I wish the Exits were a bit more consistently signposted. We were with 2 tiddlers who had beed walking for quite some time and we ended up walking in circles.Overall though, a pleasant experience, and nice staff to boot!

Great place to visit when in Dublin. Took us 4h this time to walk it and have a litter break. Visiting after covid restrictions were lifted and I can say its so much better when all facilities are open within the ZOO.New Snow Leopard is site to behold together with the Tigers, must see. I just wonder if thats enough space for a Snow Leopard, thats just me.Very clean and tidy lot of things to see here, visit if you can.

Great place to spend the day. You will need at least two hours. We took 3 hours. The place is huge. There are many restrooms and has good accessibility.Wouldnt recommend eating there, but bringing your own snacks. (There are many tables... )Go as early as possible if you want to avoid the crowd. But some animals might be still sleeping.

Enjoyable day with my husband. I have a love hate feeling about zoos. Most enclosures large and enriching for the animals. I think some of the wolves need a bit of hydrotherapy as most looked old and decrepit. So many toilets and food places along the route and friendly staff! Most animals were very active and we saw the majority. Would definitely visit again!

A great place to visit with Family and Friends. There are many enclosures with animals and lots of interesting information and timed guides. Being there on a Saturday we spent 5 hours in the Zoo, as it allows for both "meeting" the animals, children play zones, as well as food areas for both snacks and proper meals.

Great hours spent walking around enjoying the sunshine and animals. We did stop on our way for a bite to wait around the zoo. We queued up to 40 minutes when we did get to the counter it was only one young lad on the till taking orders but another closed till beside him, there was a huge queue formed by the time we got our food but it tasted good. We really enjoyed our day, always staff about picking up loose debris, emptying bins etc.

This is a great zoo. The zoo is massive and the animals have quite a bit of room. Fauna is fantastic too. Bring your walking shoes because you will cover a lot of ground. My kids absolutely love it but you often see couples here too. Very family friendly. Keepers are great. Just an all-round great zoo.

Fantastic day out with the kids today and helped by great weather. Free parking and lots of little snack and drinks facilities dotted around the place help to complement the dining area for when you need a longer break. The Chicken Hut was delicious and good value. The kids meal would have done both our children. Hope to be back again soon.

Highly recommended to visit if you have kids . We almost spend the whole day there . Better to get annual pass as it has its benefits. Being your own foods or if you have the patience for a long ques specially nice weather or bank holiday.Bring your own picnic foods as loads of table and chairs spread to sit and eat. ❤️Plenty of walking for the girls so better being buggy or something they can rest.

Extensive zoo with a big collection of unique / endangered animal species. On a weekly work day, not too busy. Minor downside that the majority of birds were not presented to visitors due to bird flu, and the snow leopards and grey wolves were also not show (unknown reason). Apart from these small details, the visit was very enjoyable and can keep you occupied for at least half a day!

Went to the Wild Lights and it was amazing. There was loads of parking next to the Zoo and didnt take long to get in.I would recommend this. You have to follow a path and cant walk around freely but that doesnt affect the experience. There are stalls along the way for teas/coffees and some food. Best one Ive been at so far.

We visited Wed 05.01.22. Not too busy but a lot of the animals were indoors / asleep because of the cold weather. Arrived at 11.30am and stayed till 2.30pm so kept well occupied. Wild Lights statues were there, say they would look fab at night. Our highlights: chimpanzees, wolves, giraffes, elephants and sea lions! No penguins or ostriches because of bird flu. Lot of the exhibits were closed, reptile house, discovery centre, any indoor places. Only outdoor eating permitted so wrap up well if you visit!

Amazing zoo. Been here multiple times since I was a child. Lots of animals from around the world and all staff seem to be friendly. Food and drinks served around the zoo too with toilets placed along the route. Was here today for the Wild Lights display. It was amazingly done and their was food stands (hot dog, burger + chicken stands inc. vegetarian options+ coffee stands around the route. Really nice display and is worth a visit.

Pros: great family day out, value for money as it takes a good 3-4 hours to explore. Shops and restaurants open throughout as well as vending machines, picnic areas provided, toilets, WC toilets and baby changing room throughout the zoo.Cons: No Parking if you arrive late as car park fills up in morning time by 10am, its weather dependant, the pandemic has a one way system in place so one would have to loop the whole zoo to exit. Needs to be pre booked and ques can be long because of this

I can highly recommend a visit to the lights at Dublin Zoo, it was just beautiful so nice to see the zoo at nighttime but the lights were just amazing. Parking has changed so no parking along the road now but caroarks are available and are well lite. Allocate time slots ensure you have enough space and time to take lots of photos and videos while keeping socially distanced, it really was amazing as you walk the one way system, you get to see different areas of the world lit up in lights, Ill definitely book to go again. Amazing job 👏
