Dublin Inn - Irish pub in Hannover, Germany
Pretty standard Irish Pub with good sports vibe in a cosy old building with Irish bar interior. Lots of TVs showing sport. Good service, standard prices and selection of beers.
Didnt try the food. The Guinness was not as good as in Ireland and a bit on the watery side, so a bit disappointing. Otherwise, the atmosphere was good as was the service
Cozy atmosphere and good service. Soccer on tv 👌
Went there because they advertised that they show EPL I watched the early game but went out between games, on my return all 4 screens were on the same Bundesliga channel. I asked if we could have one back on to the EPL and was told no problem I waited 10 minutes and asked again the Barman was quite rude and said no. I am now living in Hannover and they have lost a good customer for life.
Good friendly pub. Good food. Helpful barstaff too. Music seems to be on repeat.
Toilets could use a refurb
Great beer and great service!
One of the most authentic looking Irish pubs Ive ever been to.Always packed with pub quizzes and ajraoke during the week.
Nice Football Game. Cool atmosphere. Hannover staple.
One of the best pubs in the Altstadt ✌️
Friendly nice atmosphere
They were really kind and we enjoyed two steins of Strongbow and two Guinness.
They had really great ambiance and great service, very friendly staff. I think they also have game nights, trivia nights and karaoke on some days of the week. They have really good options of beverages. I would visit again :)
Great place! Typical Irish pub vibe. We enjoyed a Manchester United vs. Manchester City match with full on vibe. The Nachos and Cheese dish is very yummy 😋
I would come here more often if they bothered to invest in air conditioning. Its far too hot inside and you will get shouted at by the staff if they catch you opening the windows. Even in winter, its far too warm here. The karaoke is great though, if you can stand the heat.
Bar made by the barman top fella
Second time here; first time was 9 years ago for the World Cup. Great place for a proper pint of Guinness in the heart of Hanover.Lots of great weekly events.
Best Irish Pub in town!
This place has a great vibe and good service! The staff all speak English and on a good night there’s a good crowd! The karaoke nights are a epic!
It was my first and last time in this pub. Waitresses were extremely rude. A man who is responsible for karaoke didnt allow two of my friends to sing a song together. Moreover, one of the staff accused us of property damage, which is not true. Dont recommend Dublin Inn.
Myself and my friends were in a large group and we booked a spot for the karaoke night. From the minute we came in the door, none of the staff had any idea what was going on, and were very rude. The doorman told us to just go to the back and didnt direct us toward any table. We spent about 20 minutes going over and back between different waitresses and the doorman before anyone knew where to seat us, bear in mind we made this booking plenty in advance. We then spent another hour trying to order food and drinks, constantly being ignored. I understand that Friday nights are hectic and the staff are so busy, but I really get the feeling this place is badly managed because no one seems to know whats going on.Finally the two guys running the karaoke were extremely rude, and only seemed to want their regulars to participate. Maybe make the karaoke private if outsiders arent welcome! All in all, we were a large international group and were excited for the night, and it was made quite sour by our experience of the staff. Hopefully this place will come under better management, I wouldnt recommend.
Awful place, rude bartenders. You ask for one drink, they give another and they are not sorry for it. Never going again.
We were a group of 20 people with a reservation, when we arrived we were ignored. Our tables werent ready. The staff was really rude to us during the whole night, especially the karaoke men. It seems like the place is badly managed and the staff are really under pressure. Not a good first impression. I wouldnt recommend.
In short, do not seat in the bar area.I have been in Dublin inn several times, always in table and there was no problem at all. But the first time I seat in the bar we ended up arguing with the waiters.Advice for the team in the bar:1. Divide the bar area between the team, we were served by 2 different employees and a 3rd on was arguing with us that we didnt pay.2. Talk to each other, because due to the lack of communication, the problem started.3. At each payment give bill to the clients so they can probe that they paid.Long story:We ordered a jar of beer and nachos. The waiter brought us the jar, but seems he didnt hear about the nachos, so we paid the jar only. We waited a couple of minutes to see if the nachos were coming, but it was not the case. So we ordered again the nachos (to a second employeewhich were brought, we didnt pay in that exact moment. After we finish the jar, we ordered a second one. We got our second jar and paid with a banknote of 50€ and got around 15€ back... We ask hey! why are we paying so much, to which waiter said "you pay 2 jars and nachos". We indicated that we already paid the first jar. The waiters spoke and he gave us back another 15€. When we want to leave, the first waiter screams hey you have to pay, you havent paid. We tell him we already paid to his colleague. To which he says, yes but he gave you back your money. We mentioned him that we got back only 15€. So he says wait till my colleague (second employeecomes and we speak. He comes, they talk and they say, "all ok!". In this moment a third waiter starts to argue with us, my friend got upset and said bad words (sorry for thatso everything scalated and we were scream that we have to leave. Again sorry for the bad words of my friend, but, we paid, you didnt communicate to each other, you didnt give bills or even ask if we need it, so it is your responsibility to track who paid and who didnt and worse we were treated like we are stealing you. Really bad experience. Recommendation, dont seat in the bar, go to a table, there the service is way better and organized.
Tasty comfort food very kind service great location nothing to complain about here whatsoever
Beer is great! Staff is friendly, speak English, German and Russian at least. Pizza is too dry for me.
The drinks are lovely, the starters are good too. The pizza was okay fresh dough but okay, the atmosphere was great.
Worse pub quiz ever. The entertainer had more drinks then we had and can’t understand him even properly. You don’t know even which place you got and how well a group did.
Nice pub in the heart of Hannover. The bar can be crowded at times, but if you grab a seat a server will be with you shortly.
Great place for groups, always good craic. The locals love this place. Can get packed on the weekend. Good drinks selection. Had great fun going to the karaoke sessions. To have a quiet pint and more authentic experience go to the sister pub in Poststr.
Just feel like Im on some American Idol vibe when I get there. I be singing like drop top Porsche Roly on my wrist and all u feel? Cop a couple drinks and everyone Beyonce and jay-z a$ap like Im rocky
This place is jumping when a LFC game is on! FCB games on screen too. Service great! Reasonable prices! Get here early if you are watching the footy! They have table reservation on football match day 👍🏻On weekends you desperately need a reservation.Bartenders are polite, runners could be more calm and polite.Anyway a great place to have a pint in Hannover.
Good place. Karaoke on Mondays Fridays
Top marks for this bar. Great staff, who work really jars( service at your seatYou dont see that in Irish bars in Ireland.
Liked the light beer, the atmosphere was nice, as was the location and music. However, Thursday and Friday pretty crowded and usually must reserve in advance.
One of the best pubs out there! Staff is always good. It can be a bit crowded some times but thats just the atmosphere in a pub right? Snacks are also very tasty! Good place for a night out with your friends.
I rarely drink in Irish pubs when Im in Europe but called in to watch the football, I was pleasantly surprised good staff, and no harsh lighting which I hate.Recommended.
Quite a variety of whiskies on offer, although the one I ordered was not chilled and came in a rather unusual glass. One of my friends tried some of the cocktails with tabasco and was not very impressed with them.
Nice place. Can get extremely crowded Friday and Saturday. Drink prices have gone up over the years but pitchers are good value. Best go from 4-7pm to beat the crowds. Food has improved with decent pizzas. Theyve got a lot of different sport channels.
Excellent Irish pub, all the beers you could expect and for my surprise the food its also really good. You dont have to wait so long even when the pub its completely full. Good price by the way.
Very good pab with many types of beer. Testy beer and food. Interesting design and very useful situation. Friendly staff. Very clean and very comfortable.
One of many Irish pubs in the city of Hannover, this traditional pub stands out above the rest, which I frequently visit. In the sense that if you want some quick pub food with a Guiness on the side, one cannot go wrong with this pub. Also great for English speaking tourists, as the waiters are bi-lingual in both German and English, making for ease of communicating orders from locals, non German speaking locals and tourists alike. For non-beer drinkers, there is also a great selection of wines, whiskeys, cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages, so they have you covered, no matter your requirement. Regular pub quizzes and karaoke nights are held, as well as occasional sporting events, so youll have a blast of a time at this wonderful spot either way.
The coolest barman nice place many variety of beers
Its ok.. get very drunk there if youre not careful. Its cosy in the back, certainly gets busy, and loads of space for us smokers outside. Most importantly, they sell Erdinger Dünkel, the best beer, in the world!
Great, large pub, many beers, sports, very popular. No real food other than snacks-pizza, nachos, cheese breads. Karaoke on weekends is good.
Incredibly cozy. Great decoration, lighting, and atmosphere and good food! I love reminiscing on this visit - there was a gang of musicians in the corner opposite us jamming out to GREAT oldies! It was a very happy environment!
Very good pub. The beer is cold, atmosphere cozy and the snacks delicous. Especially their pub quiz is worth more than just a recommendation. For all this I would give stars if just to choice of snacks were not only limited to baguettes and nachos.
Read such great reviews, but unfortunately didn’t have such a good experience. The friendliness of the service seemed to be dependent on the Manager’s mood, which wasn’t good at the time. My presence was barely even acknowledged and it went downhill from there. Pretty rude. Disappointing, especially considering the reviews, so I moved on. Oh well.
Great place to chill out with friends. Its got adequate space inside and good variety of drinks too. Prices are reasonable as well. The evening/nights are mostly themed such as Karaoke night, Quiz night etc.
The Irish pub to visit in Hannover. Great many drinks options, a very nice and chill environment. The severs are very friendly. An amazing place to hang out with friends and have some nice Guinness or Cider etc.
