Dublin Calling - Irish pub in Vancouver, Canada
Johnny is an absolute delight! Do try the generously filled quesadillas and the parmesan fries!
Love for Guinness. You can play pool and mini golf too.
I love that place, happy hour really worth it, the smash burger and onion rings were really good. The Guinness was fantastic (from an Irish manand its only 5 bucks on happy hour, its taste like home. But we didnt stay just for that, our server was amazing and gave us the best service ever. A really good staff and Ill definitely come back and this will be my local
Such a great experience! Awesome happy hour. Our server Alessandra recognised us from last time and was very nice and attentive and the manager Leslie went above and beyond to make sure we had a good time. Will be back!
Played pitched and putt upstairs, it was a lot of fun but their bar was lacking a lot of liquors, asked for two different drinks that they were unable to make.
A very cool place for drinks with friends or coworkers. There was a good menu and lots of games including mini putt, pool table, basketball net, pinball machine and more on 2 floors. Place has a good selection of beer that can also be served by pitchers. One friend wasnt drinking and they gave her a free refill on her cranberry and soda. Very good service.
Went to Dublin for a couple of drinks on a Friday night, landed up staying there for a lot more!!! Music was good and our server was awesome!!! Will be going back soon.
Took beer and burger. The food delivery took a lot of time. Music was nice. Theres no dancing scene here.
Excellent service, but I prefer the Old look, I didnt like the remodeling of the playground, and I prefer to order a la carte menu than with QR.
Sorry guys, but tonight my experience was so bad, the music so so so boring, everyone wanted to dance, but the music so boring and no for dance. Also, we wanted to play pool game, but one older guy doesn’t play with my friend, because we needed to follow the rules and the challenge, so play with him. And we won’t. So bad.
They took my reservation and then cancelled it within five hours of my reservation just because apparently they weren’t supposed to take reservations tonight and I was left with a group of 20 to 30 people not knowing where to go and we all got stranded
Not a bad experience. Really played up the games inside, really only ski ball and a basketball game! I would say music was a little too loud during dinner hours had to yell across the table which is sort of frustrating. Staff was pleasant but looked like there were doing major Reno’s. Probably won’t be back.
Had a great time watching UFC here, it should be noted they do charge $10 cover to watch pay-per-view. Reservations are recommended, especially if you want the premium view seating. The only dumb arrangement is the table blocking the largest screen.
The service was so bad. The guy behind the bar had a rude attitude. I don’t know what was his problem. I waited more than 20 minutes for a beer and a solo Nachos. I don’t recommend this place unless you are so desperate for drinks.
Drinks are well priced. Food is average. Staff is friendly. They have pool, darts and DJ after 11 on 1st floor.
I didnt have a good experience overall. Came here with friends for happy hour. Our server was Amanda (I think, the blonde with a pony tail). It was a real challenge to get her to come to our table every time, we would wave at her but she wasnt very aware of her surroundings as a server should be or maybe she was just ignoring us. We ordered happy hour drinks and she asked single or doubles, we all chose doubles. By the end of the night our bills came back oddly expensive for the 4 or 5 drinks we each had. I asked her to see my bill, singles were $4 and somehow I was charged $12 for doubles so I asked her... So its 12 bucks for a double on happy hour? She said "yeah, I guess so". I came to the manager and asked how much were doubles on happy hour and she said happy hour doesnt have doubles. The manager kindly refunded me the money I paid extra. This server not only did this to me but to all of my friends. She also charged auto gratuity which wasnt explained to us, neither she deserved. The bartender and manager were nicer.
Not recommend! The service was horrible- the food took long time and when it came to the table it was cold and overcooked! Overpriced as well!
If you are looking for a place with seating, bar and games to play then this is the one you should go. Had lots of fun with friends. More shots please 😜😂😂
Unorganized and long wait times. Not sure if its a regular thingor a one-off but we joined the Kardashian pub quiz a couple weeks ago and the hosts were super loud and annoying.
Good vibes. Not crowded in weekdays. They have pool table and many other games. A nice place to hang out
Good food, excellent staff!
Our first stop on our first trip to Vancouver. It was outstanding! The beer rivaled Wisconsin beer (and that’s saying a lot), the nachos were delicious, and Shamus provided excellent service and enjoyable conversation. Now our problem is trying to find time to go for another visit before we head home.
Went there for the first time.. the service was excellent. Will try the food next time
Food was ok and the service wasnt very good. Our server seemed to be in a bad mood and was quite unfriendly. She wasnt rude but you only served by asking the required question to take orders and even then it seemed forced.
$9.75 for a bottle of Budweiser. Its more expensive here than anywhere in Vancouver, even the strip bars are cheaper. Go somewhere else. This place is highway robbery to the fullest.
first time out since quarantine started ... firstly if five guys have been buying beer since 5pm why say if you dont pay $10 to watch ufc you will be kicked out at 7:30. who thought that was a genius idea. If you come in when main card is about to start then maybe a cover charge. also $15 for 3 bits of chicken tenders shocking no value in that. And even the fries which were limited were cold was not value for money. Would i be back nope service nil not enough servers and no value for money spent...
A very spacious, 2 level pub. The Guinness here is among the best I have ever tasted! It rivals a pint poured in Dublin...I am dead serious! You can watch every possible sports program thats being aired on one of their nearly 50 or so TVs! The pub grub is decent. Ask for Natasha if you stop in, she is nice and friendly.
Went for the Canucks game a month or so ago with friends and will never return. Sat upstairs near the big projector screen and there was the rudest staff with the worst service. Wish I remembered the name of the server/bartender we had, even though we were confused as we were served by multiple girls (both extremely unpleasant but one more than the other). Ruined the whole experience. 0/10 do notttt recommend, save your $$ by staying in and ordering wings and pouring your own drinks at home.
Had a bunch of fun doing Harry Potter trivia. Cool little spot up the stairs. Fun view of Granville and smithe. Drinks were good and so was the munchies
Good beer selection, has tons of screens so is ideal for sporting events. It was one of the places we could find that had football ⚽ games. Fries are very good. Prices are significantly higher (10$ for pint).
The atmosphere was great perfect for big sports game!! Was super happy and is a Madrid Pub although Barça won the game I watched there. So it was super fun !! ,😂💪
Had drinks at Dublin Calling. The place is clean and lively. The bartender, Seamus, is bright, witty, and personable. Service was impeccable, and a nice mix of music played at a nice level. Many large flat screens for sports.
Great food! The guy who is running it tonight is doing a fantastic job. The Food is delicious and the booze is good! Not from town but would definitely come back !
I am giving it a 5 star because I know its a great pub. But I have to say that I am disappointed as I had to sit there for almost 30 mins and was not attended to after one waitress gave me a minute to decide as soon as I arrived. As I came in for a quick Guinness and Poutine sad to admit that I had to leave with an empty stomach. Please make sure every customer is attended to.
Enjoyed the brisket nachos for lunch. They were very tasty and plentiful. The salsa on the side was home made and chunky and delicious…. I would provide more salsa and omit the side sour cream. Bonus was a side of guacamole too. Hubby had a couple Guinness which were poured right.
Dont miss out on the amazing food at Dublin Calling! We actually went there for the fish and chips but stayed for the craft beer. The Service is great and the employees super nice.
Super festive Tinseltown on the top floor of the pub. Drinks were fun, decor was great, super cozy space.Didnt realize your cant order food other than some cookies and sweets so we had to drink on an empty stomach hahaha. Was surprised there wasnt a lot of festive music, or really any music at all. Space was smaller than expected but very nicely decorated and lots of photo ops.I think we managed to order every type of cocktail drink on the Christmas menu 😁
I have been to this place twice in a span of almost two years. Its a decent place with friendly staff. There is a pool table upstairs which goes by who wins, keeps the table- rule. So, if you are a newbie to the game, 1 game is all youll get time for as the pros(compared to mekeep winning and dont let go of the pool table. Either go earlier or wait until they are too drunk to play and swoop in.Food is alright. Burgers are alright but wasnt a fan of the tenders, was tasteless, the dip helped me get through that, immensely.A decent place to hang since there are decent beers on tap.
I dont have enough good things to say about this place. Upstairs is where its at! Darts, pool, and other games for adults enjoying beverages. The staff is amazing and the drinks are well priced. A must visit when in town!
Definitely had a wonderful experience except upstairs doesnt open until 5 pm the Buffalo butter wings were definitely outstanding and amazing also loved the fish and chips although fish was small but it made up for the flavor and crispness .this was my 2nd time coming here definitely will be back again
Came for the Moobys pop up shop which was kinda lackluster. The window signage was changed and then they had a bed sheet on the opposite side of the door and a cardboard cut out of Kevin Smith & Jason Mews inside the door. Maybe its my fault for expecting more. Food was mediocre and way overpriced for the amount received. Lesson learned, now I can try Dublin Calling as a stand alone bar and post a review for that...
Awesome bar food! Server was super great , having to run the whole floor alone and still paying attention to our needs.
Had a very nice evening w some good pints. Their chicken menu items tasted amazing w reasonable prices ($10 spicy chicken sandwich w fries... buffalo wings are delicious as wellOn top of that, we got to sit down immediately even on a Saturday night bc the place is more spacious, compared to the other Irish pubs on the street. I’ll definitely visit again!
Wow, what a meal!! Had the Smash Burger and it was a delight! Super light and fresh, patty was cooked and seasoned so well. Also had the Crispy Nashville Chicken Tenders, recommend all of the above and will absolutely return! Price was awesome, service was excellent!
As an official and recognized Real Madrid fan-club, we were searching in Vancouver for a place to hold a large events, and Dublin Calling not only made this happened, but also made us feel welcomed. Perfect location, best TVs layout, great food, and excellent service. GM of this place is super responsive. We glad that we finally found place we were looking for, and can call it a headquarter. We cant thank Dublin Calling enough and definitely recommending this location for all your big or small events!!
My first time here. Good place. Good music. But they dont have sour draught (draft bear), I never thought that it would be important for me. So many arm hair in the wings or something like that. Be careful about it, please. It is disgusting. Also, not enough bathroom, there are only 3 booths and they are for both sex.
Great place to hang out with your friends andPlay some games. They have darts, pool, jenga and ping pong. Also good beer.
The service was terrible today, the waiter did not have a good attitude, and when asked questions everything was not, the place is good, but if you do not have a good service to offer any business is bad. If you wanna play jenga, darts, pingpong or wherever games, you depend of the waiter. Today we had to invent a game with our own coins.
Had two of the appetizers which both tasted very good and the drinks in the bucket were cool! The rooftop is a nice place to sit in the summer.
Liked the atmosphere and beer. Didnt quite like the food that I have ordered and felt overpriced. Only visited once.
