Driza's House - Hostel in Shtime

One of the best hostels Ive stayed at on my travels. The owner is super nice and friendly and always ready to help with information or just chat. It has a very home-like vibe and you can see the effort that was put into the place to make everyone feel welcome and give everyone their own private space in the dorms. The location is super central and within walking distance to everywhere you need to go in town.

The place is clean and the guys who are running it are very nice. They helped me with questions I had. The city is just walking out the door. Very good value for money at this hostel. However you have to look good to find the hostel.The hosts were very helpful with all the questions you may have.

The owner is super friendly and knows a good bit of the history of the town. He also makes for a great tourguide.The hostel is a bit tucked away and in a clam location. The beds are nice with a curtain .

Cozy family-run hostel with a very special and personal atmosphere. Erdis is an incredibly friendly and supportive host. Breakfast was very good and the location couldnt be better. We really enjoyed our stay in Prizren and I highly recommend Drizas House to anyone!

Really lovely, family run hostel in an old house. I felt completely at home here and the breakfast for 1.50 was a very good value. I enjoyed talking with our hosts and other guests in the evenings and learning about their country and culture.

Spent a few days in this hostel during my first ever visit to Kosovo in 2017, and it was a great experience. The hosts were super nice and helpful, making you feel like staying with family rather than in a hostel. The dorm room was super comfy, clean and well equipped, as were the bathrooms. We had power outage once, but hey, that can happen anywhere in this world! Breakfast was included in the room rate and was always fresh, tasty and sufficient. And as a great bonus (for me anywaysthey had a super cute kitten named T-Rex, who was su much fun to play with and cuddle :oId stay there again in a heartbeat!

Walking out the door for a morning macciato, Erdis, the hostel owner, asked me where I was going for coffee. No no he said to my idea of the place connected to the grocery store. He asked if he could join, and took a few of us to his favorite spot. And thats the way things go with the outgoing and friendly Drizas. One evening guests asked his wife for food reccomendations, she told them a place, and then asked if she could go along too. They even loaned me a pair of Erdis shoes so I didnt have to get mine wet as I tubed down the river.There are hostels that say they make you feel at home, and then theres places that are actually the childhood home of the owner, converted into a nice, clean, centrally located hostel. Ive stayed here two years in a row, and cant wait for my next visit.

I loved everything about this hostel, especially the hosts who were so amazing and helpful. They helped in planing my stay and they are always there if you need any help or just to start a conversation. The bed was so comfortable and the hostel was always very clean as well. I would definitly stay there again if Im in Prizren.

The excellent and quiet location of this hostel is just the least of the advantages of this hostel. It is very clean but most of all very friendly and the owners are warm, caring and always like to help, share and make you feel at home. I took a day tour around Prizren to the main sites on the western parts of Kosovo and enjoyed every minute. I wasnt bored even fo r a second since I had the chance to learn and see the perspective of Kosovos residents in the past, present and future along the amazing historical, cultural and natural sites/ there is also a shuttle service from the airport which makes it shorter and easier (and also inexpensive)All this in addition to free wifi access, kitchen and very clean rooms and bathrooms (despite the fact they are shared). A warm and cozi place.

Great location near the square, and a quick jaunt from the bus station (15 minutes). Both people I spoke with at the hostel were very helpful in providing information re: sights, food recommendations, and bus routes. There is also a cat and dog!!

really nice friendly hosts. love the cat named T-rex, and the dog( i did forget his/her name tbh). Hostel is located perfectly in the center, can reach everything by feat. This is the place to stay.

Its a nice hostel, run by awesome people that really try all time to make you feel home; Its very clean, near the center, and there is a delightful breakfast (for only 1,50€). The only "minus point" is that they only accept cash, but its a quite widespread thing in the balcans. Surely recommended.

amazing place ! its clean, its very close to the main tourist attractions and all the shops and places to eat. the owners are wonderful and polite, the place itself looks very nice and is nicely decorated !!!

Its run by very friendly, outgoing people. I decided to leave 2 days early (nothing to do with the hosteland they didnt charge me for those days, even though I only told them the day of. They also gave me some useful transportation info, and recommended the better restaurants.

Lovely family run hostel centrally located in Priznan about 2 minutes away from main centre. Everyone working there was super helpful. Each bed has curtains, light and a socket. The WiFi is quick; bathrooms clean with free tea & coffee.Last but not least there are 2 cute pets!

If you‘re looking for a central, clean, calm and super cosy place to stay in Prizren - Driza‘s House is the place to be! We felt just like at home and would recommend this place to everyone. The hosts are lovely and very helpful, and also their two pets! Thank you guys for everything, we will be back!

Such a wonderful, welcoming place. It felt more like visiting friends than staying at a hostel. The Drizas are great hosts who care deeply about their guests. Theyre also tremendously helpful with tips and things do around the city (like the SECRET back way to the castle!). This isnt really a party hostel, but you can party (or partiedin Kotor or Tirana so youre due for a few laid back evenings. Right? Right. It is social though! Had fun hanging in the common area every night. STAY AT DRIZAS!

Great location, the softest beds I had so far in a hostel and most of all, the hosts were so friendly! They made me feel at home and we had great conversations about the war, politics and the country itself. The breakfast was delicious too! Would definately go back :)

Awesome place! Loved the vibe of the hostel and the people in it, the staff is incredible and very helpful too. Great place to meet people from all over the place and it’s really close to downtown with plenty of food places just minutes away. I highly recommend it, best hostel in Prizren 👌🏻

Drizas house is the place to stay ! I went for a night but I finally spent three nights there. After only 10 mins, I had the felling to be at home. First Drizas house I mean the building has a story, its the house where they spent all their childhood. Inside is really cosy: many sofas to chill, wood-burner, carpets,... Second Erdis thinks at everything so the accomodation is really smart: big locker, confortable beds, kitchen, huge map of Prizren,.... I really love the decoration. Thirdly and the most important the hospitality of Drizas family.Erdis, Fitore, Edmond, Lucky and T-rexx are really kind, respectful, adaptable, funny, generous and they have time for guests. They gave me many advices about what to see, to do, to stay in different cities where I went. In a few words you take part of this family and you will smile during the stay. Its difficult to leave this place.All the best for your familly and hostel guys !

Drizas house is in a great location, very clean, traditional breakfast and comfy beds. Had the best nights sleep here throughout my whole time in the Balkans. Staff were super helpful and pleasant. Reasonably priced as well, would recommend staying here

I’ve stayed at a lot of hostels and Driza’s was one of the cleanest I have seen. It really feels like a home, especially with their friendly cat and dog. I enjoyed my stay and they helped me see everything great in prizren. They have brand new very comfortable mattresses, beds all have curtains and lamps. Anything you would want from a hostel, they have thought of. Highly recommend!

No place like home. When you stay at Driza’s house you are welcomed with a smile and the hospitality of Kosovo. Comfortable beds, hot showers, speedy WiFi, free breakfast and great location. Wiki, Erdis and Edmond go out of their way to offer helpful tips for the city and great conversation. In addition to a already great place you get to enjoy the company of their awesome furry friends Rexy the cat and Lucky the dog. Make sure to book directly with them to enjoy a little discount!

Strategically located near Prizren city center with tons of restaurants, cafes and shops. The owners are super friendly and helpful - highly recommended accommodation!! Playful dog and cat on property

The hosts were so nice and helpful, and I love that theyre animal lovers (have a dog and cat). There was a keypad at the front door and padlock for lockers. They have a shoes off inside policy, and keep the bathrooms clean with slippers and shampoo provided. Simple breakfast and coffee / tea all day. The location is so convenient in the center and they sent a video with directions before arriving, making it easy to find. The bunk beds were comfortable and have privacy curtains. Loved my stay!

I don’t have anything bad to say about Driza’s House. The owners are incredibly nice and helpful locals with perfect English, it’s very clean and quiet, and it’s in a great location. It’s a cliche, but you’ll honestly feel at home here. There’s no competition. This is THE hostel for Prizren.

It was very comfortable, safe and kind hostel. The bed has high strange space so you can put the backpack or suit case into that and lock it. The location is also useful. Need to book earlier in high season.

The best of hostels. Edmund is gentle and kind, and nothing is a problem. He helped us rent a car for €30 to head up to Dragash, and recommended the best of places in town to eat. Just a place that makes you feel at ease, so much we stayed for two nights rather than one.Safe Edmund!

Absolutely fantastic hostel that felt like a home. Erdis and Viki were amazing hosts and just great people in general to hang out with and talk to. Facilities and location are wonderful. It was also really nice having a cat and dog around after a while of travelling! This is easily the best hostel I’ve stayed in so far, 100% recommend.

Small hostel owned by a super friendly young couple (who have a great taste in music too), plenty of space, free breakfast, great interior design and vibe, all beds have curtains, 2 bathrooms each with a shower (most "established" hostels dont even have this). Highly, highly recommend.

This hostel definitely looks better in pictures, than in reality! However, from speaking to other people, it seems to be the best option in Prizren. I loved that they offered me a packed breakfast because I was leaving at 6am, and they woke up to call me a taxi. Great location, no real atmosphere, curtains on bed, hostel cat.

Drizas house is a homey and friendly place to stay at. The hostel was set up in an old house right in the centre of town. Therefore expect some old-ish features but also the warmth of a home.It is clean, breakfast is good (eggs, bread, spreads...and price is alright.And the owners set up their own touristic maps of the city, both on the hostel wall and on Google: very handy!

Pleasant owners. We were in 4 bed dorm which was comfortable but rather hot. Simple breakfast included. Great location. Bus to Skopje stops just outside.

I had a wonderful time in Prizren. I met some many nice and cool people there, nice food, election activities and of course an amazing hostel, Drizas House. I really like the decoration inside, full of wood which make me feel so calm. Whats more, its in the very city center, just cross the bridge then you can reach the most beautiful area in Prizren! Love it!!

One of the nicer hostels Ive stayed at. The hostel owners are very helpful and made us feel very welcome. They have the best tips for where to visit in Prizren, including where to eat. You will get a custom map with everything you need to know on it sent to your cell phone which is awesome.

Beautiful hostel and beautiful people!The beds are a bit bigger than normal beds and the mattress is amazing! Each bed has curtains so you sort of have your own little place which is really nice. Each bed also has a socket so theres no fighting over who gets to charge their phone. I dont know what the breakfast is like because I wanted to stay in bed for as long as possible but the owners, who are super nice, recommended a really good byrek place just across the stone bridge.If youre in Prizren, go to Drizas House. If youre not in Prizren, go to Prizren and go to Drizas House.

Prizren is a gem in Kosovo. Despite it is tiny, you will enjoy staying a night there, wandering around slowly and talking to the local people (they are so helpful and kind to tourists!So Drizas House will be your perfect choice. It is located 1 min away from the stone bridge. I indeed went back and forth to the hostel for some littel rests coz it is so easy to reach. My bed was very comfy. Everything is exceptionally clean. Last but not least, you will have the best host there to help you!

I had a perfect stay in Prizren for two days especially because of this hostel and its owner who knows everything about Prizren. I loved the friendly and relaxed atmosphere in your hostel and it was like staying at home for me. I got a lot of useful information about Prizren and Kosovo in general. Furthermore, Erdis (the ownercreated a great map with “must-sees” in Prizren including Restaurants, Cafes and other interesting locations so nobody gets lost. You get this little “survival guide” briefly after booking the hostel.Thanks for having me, Erdis, Edmond and Nano (cute dog with impressive skills!It was great! Highly recommended!

I only stayed one night but felt like it was longer due to the warm of the owners. They truly care for their guests and a memorable stay. Its in a perfect location in the center for a great price. The included breakfast is a huge plus for us budget travelers. I highly recommend this hostel. Thanks guys :)

I spent three nights here and wish Id stayed longer. The hosts are welcoming and the house is great. It was very clean and cosy. The beds are custom built and very comfortable. Excellent value too.
