I have been going here for 20 plus years. The quality and taste are still so so good. Even tho we moved out of London. We specifically drive 30 mins to London JUST for this place. Will forever be going here.

The food is excellent, the staff are polite and friendly, and the food is always fresh

Rice was mushy! The chicken balls were really water down.

Nothing really good about the meal besides the chicken fried rice. Everything was mushy & chicken balls/egg rolls were all soft not crispy at all. Had the dinner for 3 and wouldn’t come back. It’s so difficult finding good Chinese food in London anymore which is sad.

Noodles was Burnt , so was the chow mein…it was Horrible tasting ! wouldn’t order there again

Called to let them know that the chicken soo guy was dried up and sauce was unrecognizable the sweet and sour chicken more batter than chicken sweet and sour sauce was very watery and the sauce for egg rolls unflavourable the chicken fried rice was ok we basically was told sorry for that would not recommend this to anyone very dissapointed

June 2022. Placed our standard order as well as the Singapore Noodle. Everything was excellent.March 2022 - Dragon Gate seems to be back to their consistent good food. I think the covid curve took a step from their stride. Love their broccoli & mushrooms, pork & mushroom fried rice, the #14 Cantonese noodles, Shanghai noodles, Szechuan beef, and Szechuan shrimps. Our go to order. YUM!From October 2018 - We have called for delivery orders several times and they always state the food will arrive in 45 minutes to one hour. It always takes an hour or more and last night it took almost two hours. According to Google Maps, we live 10 minutes away. Perhaps a pick-up order would be better. Having said that, the food was good.

Fantastic quality food, good portions, and very reasonable prices! Look forward to ordering more! Definitely recommend!

Their individual combos are a great price, multiple options and always taste good! Been going here for over 15 years.

I have always liked the Dragons Gate but tonight the beef dish tasted like I drank fish oil and the egg roll had a bite out of the corner and sweet and sour chicken balls were hard on one sideDisappointing from a place I have got food from for decades

This place has the best Chinese food around. From a meal for one to many more and the prices arent too bad.

Dragon gate used to be one of our favourites. Dont know whats happened to it since covid-19 hit but that was the worst and probably the last time we eat there. Very disappointed in the food quality. Would give it a half star if I could.

Worst Chinese food Ive ever eaten in my life. Chicken balls were so soggy fell apart. Sauce was water down. Didnt even give you any extra sauce, fortune cookies must be from first date place opened. Disgusted!! Will never be back

Very bad choice to go to this place. Horrible if you want good Chinese food this will make you never want it again ! Ordered almost $50 for soggy food and they only offered me a $10 credit

Honestly was really excited to try this place as they have the highest reviews. Never been so disappointed in my life $40 for 2 combos and the chicken balls where legit mush. Grossest rice Ive ever had. This place is gross! Ill never go back ! First good review I ever did that was negative best part of the meal was the can of coke

I bought food yesterday 29th October 2021. I could be the last customer but my shrimp fried rice was tasteless, it only had 3 shrimp and the bbq ribs were not fresh. However, the wings were very good.

Food was good but the sweet and sour sauce was watered down to a ridiculous level. Very disappointed. 🤨

Wow dragon gate I used to order from you all the time. I have been craving good Chinese food for months in East London, I keep looking and there is not one good place in the east to choose from. Every time I check your reviews they get worse what is going on?? We need someone to make good food consistently in E. O. A. Please fix what ever you are doing wrong so we can enjoy Chinese food again! I will not order from you because I know I am going to be disappointed! What are you thinking guys!! I will actually drive to the other end of the city because of how bad your reviews are fix it!

The food was not the greatest the batter on the shrimp was terrible and the food was dry and the egg roll were soggy with grease this is the worst meal I had from there I dont know what happened their food is usually good

The food is normally good well this time the spicy chow mane was not good it was cooked in the same wok as shrimp or some sort of fish all they offered was 5$ off my next order there will NEVER be another order from my household! So disgusted an i will be calling the health board!

The spring rolls were soggy and not the normal filling. Lemon chicken was 3 pieces of battered and fried chicken with Lemon sauce on the side. Beef and broccoli was starchy. I have ordered from there before and it was great. I dont know whats happened.

Fairly new to Dragon Gate. Have been searching for a new Chinese take out place for years since my beloved China Delight closed. Think I found it. Good food, reasonably priced and in my neighbourhood.

I was introduced to this place from my boyfriend who has been ordering from here for a long time. Every meal we have had has been amazing. Their prices are so reasonable for the amount of food you get. We made a mistake with ordering something new off the menu and they kindly replaced the item with no fuss despite it being our mistake. Highly recommend if you want some good Chinese food. Try the 8A and thank me later ;)

We love their food and they are close to our home. Great portions and great prices. Cant wait till they offer their lunch menu again!

I wish I could give negative stars!!!Absolutely disgusted with what we received from them. Smallest portions I have ever seen. Their Lo Mien noodles were Mr. Noodles, and the chicken balls were beyond burnt. We did not get anything that looked similar to any of the pictures! Never order from them again!!!!

We ordered takeout April 26, 2001. It was ready and was hot when we got it home. The Spicy Beef (med. heatwith noodles was delicious. The chicken balls were crunchy and did not have too much batter. It was an enjoyable experience to eat some leftovers tonight.Thank you for working through this pandemic to allow a little pleasure for your customers. The prices were great too.

I have order the dinner for 2 plus wonton soup and sweet and sour pork which was amazing its the only place I order Chinese food from..the only thing I didnt like was there lo main it was over cooked and all stuck together but I have only ordered it that one time ... but it just might of been a bad day.. if anyone else had it please put what u think about it so I know to try it again or not thanks

I understand these are hard times re covid but was still disappointed that there were no fortune cookies in my $85.00 order. The sweet and sour (red saucewas really watered down. The chicken balls were very small. The Cantonese Chow Mein was very flavourful, however it was mostly noodles. I raved on about how good the food was in the past to friends, as I used to live nearby and ordered food there regularly. The place that I order from now that is close by is really good, but they were closed, so I chose Dragons Gate as it used to be very good food. This place has gone down hill now sadly and I will not order food again from this restaurant.

If you like sweet n sour anything, dont go here. The sweet n sour sauce is pretty much water with a hint of the sauce. The chicken ball are almost always soggy.

I was their delivery driver while I was going to college about 5 years ago. They treated me excellent! It was my go-to Chinese food joint prior to that so I was very happy to discover that virtually every menu item is made fresh from scratch. The spring rolls/egg rolls are hand made in the back, soup stock is all real, even the sauces like sweet/sour and chili sauce is made in house. I cant recall a single menu item that wasnt prepared by them. They fed me for free every night I worked so Ive eaten every dish there and then some. They got fresh vegetable/meat shipments about 4 times a week. I still order from them to this day! Theyre all great people there.

We did not enjoy the meal.We ordered lemon chicken, vegetable lo mein and beef and broccoli. The lemon chicken sauce was watery not flavourful, the Soo guy chicken was very, very greasy fishy tasting and the meat was a weird texture. The vegetable lo mein appeared to be Ramen noodles was not very appetizing,The beef and broccoli had mushy broccoli and fishy tasting beef.Overall an unappealing meal. It tasted horrible ,we will not be ordering there again. the portions were small.The staff member that took the order was pleasant.

4 stars for food. 1 star for service. I called at 710 to check on my order placed 2 hours ahead of time for 7pm delivery. The girl said it was on the way. The driver got here at 730. I asked him about the late delivery and he told me they had just made it and he drove straight here. The food was piping hot so i believe him. They dont know what they are doing when you call. Horrible customer service...

3 stars for the food, 2 for the service. I ordered spicy chicken chow mein, and the girl came back to verify if I wanted chicken, or shrimp so I confirmed chicken. When our food was brought out it had shrimp on it, so I told the waitress it wasnt what I ordered and she was pushing back so hard to get me to just accept the dish. She was asking if I had allergies to shrimp, or if there was another reason I didnt want to accept the dish and I simply said "this is not what I ordered". It seemed like most of the orders of other customers also had issues with the restaurant making the wrong item. Unfortunately, the food was not that good enough to keep me coming back to deal with the terrible service. The won ton soup was pretty good though, as confirmed in other reviews.

Great little greasy spoon in London, Ontario!All of the food was tasty, and the portions were fair. I called my order in and was told 30 minutes, and the meal was made on time. The take out area was very busy, so they must be doing something right. I recommend the 6 person meal it fed 5 people, and there were plenty of leftovers to snack on.

Dragon Gate has never disappointed me. My whole family has been going here for over a decade and I cant remember ever having a bad meal. I Just recently ordered take out from them and once again they delivered on fantastic tasting food not to mention the larger portions. Highly recommended.

Believe the reviews and avoid this place. Chicken balls soaked in oil and tasted like they had been made yesterday and refried, sweet and sour sauce more like sweat and sour water(not a typoShanghai noodles had a sauce of soya and old fryer grease. Fried rice made with week old vegetables and chicken. Just not good at all. Not to mention the lack of customer service when ordering. No debt on delivery, cash only unless you pick up. Why cant London have a good Chinese restaurant. One that serve american style and traditional Chinese foods. We all know there arent any chicken balls in China. I hate leaving a bad review but come on be proud of your business and serve quality products and people will come!

The sweet and sour sauce was so watery and didn’t have a taste. Same as the lemon. The chicken balls were so dry we couldn’t even eat them. Will not be back. Horrible. So just called and explained what was wrong. They said they would look into it. Maybe the sauces went bad I said I hope not. Can I get sick. Girl said I don’t know. Like what the hell. $5 off next meal 😂😂😂

Really good prices. Delicious meals. Unless you have a large amount of patience DO NOT use the delivery service. If they say 45 minutes it is rare. We have waited plus 2hrs before with no reason. Pickup always seems to be ready within 15 minutes.

Ordered take out today. Not one thing was good. Salt poured on chicken wings. Half of the food had no taste and the spare ribs were just fat.Used to be good but wont be ordering again.

This food is disgusting. Noodles were mushy and tastied reheated in the microwave. We ordered lemon chicken and got long strips deep fried in batter which you could tell was fried in oil from the day before. Do not come here. Homeless on the street eat better quality food than this.

First to be fair, we did go 1/2 hour before closing. We got an order to go. Usually the won ton soup is delicious, but maybe due to the lateness, the won tons were mush. I was very disappointed since I was so looking forward to it. Everything else was good as usual.

The food is amazing, but they often forget items. When they forgot an item a few months ago, we called in to see what they were willing to do about it. They refused to deliver the item they missed saying we were out of their delivery zone. (We dont live more than ten minutes away). What they were willing to do was give us the item we were missing as well as a second one for free at our next visit. We went back about a month later. We explained the situation and also mentioned that we would like to order other items as well. They searched through multiple notebooks to see where this had been written down, but found no traces of it. When the girl we were speaking to went to the back to speak to who I am assuming was the manager/owner his voice started to get louder and louder. He was yelling at her and the entire restaurant could hear it. He kept yelling in his own language as well as yelling no I cannot in English several times. Another girl was wondering what was going on and asked us so she could maybe help her coworker to explain it better. When she went back, he continued to scream. I told her that it was completely inappropriate and unprofessional for him to be screaming at his staff. She told us he was not yelling and that he just talks loud. In the end we got our missed item from the last order as well as one for free. It took at least 15-20 minutes and while the food was amazing, I am not sure how worth it was. Sadly we have been back since, which I get mad at myself for, but the food is very good. The atmosphere and service sucks!

Food was hot and fresh and fast and delicious The deep fried wontons are light crispy & have meat in them and are served piping hot. Always reliably. Not wheelchair accessible though, theres a big step.

The food here is great, when you can get it. I have loyally always called them first when choosing Asian food take out. However getting them to answer the phone is very difficult. In the past two years I have chose to order from them maybe a dozen times. They have answered the phone twice. I will call back for thirty to forty five minutes and still not get an answer. At one point I thought they had closed down until one of the two times they finally answered the phone. I asked the woman who took my order if they had been shut down because they never answer the phone when I call and she said no we have always been open. Its very disappointing as I have enjoyed the food they serve ever since I was a kid as my parents always ordered from them. Looks like its time to move on and find a more reliable source of Asian cuisine :(

I read some of the other reviews and wonder if they are fakes by the competition. I honestly think the place is a cut above the regular quality Chinese food you get around town. The lemon chicken is 4 big (3"x6"ishpieces of meat that is lightly battered and I have never been refused sauce on the side. I love the mixed veggies and they are not premade because I always ask for no corn, water chestnuts and no mushrooms. They threw in a free steamed rice. I dont know of another place that I actually enjoy the Chinese food. I detest heavy batter and everyone else has it.

It is New Years day, so I understand the restaurant would be busy. They told me it would be a 2 hour wait, which although I thought was a bit extreme, I understood. We were 10 minutes early to pick up the food, and it was ready. Once we got home (and we dont live farwe realized it was not hot and had been ready and sitting for a while. Then we noticed our order was wrong; they doubled up one dish and completely excluded another dish that we ordered. So, our order was barely warm and not what we ordered. Finally, the food itself is not the same as it used to be. The sweet and sour sauce was watery, and there was a lack of meat in the dishes. This restaurant have lost us as customers, and we will let others know.
