Dragon Fort in Abbotsford

Ordered for delivery, that was about the worst chinese food weve had in a long time, it obviously had sat as it came very soggy, the spare ribs were woody hard, vegetables were burnt, egg rolls shrunk and very empty inside, the old Dragon Fort never let us down, we wont be back.

The portion sizes of their combos are enormous. We arrived for dinner and had no problem finding a table. I ordered a combo that included chicken balls, chow mein and chop suey. I was charged an extra $2 to change out beef for chicken chop suey. Service was friendly and quick. If you are looking for a low cost but large Chinese food feast, look no further.

Still as good as ever. We enjoyed our dinner very much. Thank you for really good food and friendly quick service.

My best place now for lunch. Big spaces and tables even for a family of 8 on one table. Did I mention hugh food portions? Large enough to share with a friend and cheap.I am done typing, Just try it and tell me what you think.

The food was great and the people who work there are very friendly, courteous and professional. The person who took our order knew the entire menu. Amazing

The service here sucks! Very slow kitchen staff. Servers don’t know which table ordered 1st. We’ve been waiting for an hour for our food that only have two dishes and a rice plus a side dish. Mostly old people eats here. Anyway most asian restaurants dont have any great service anyway. Food is mid if you really love msg then this place is for you! We almost walked out btw they serves us last when we ordered ahead of any tables that night.

Dragonfort has always been out go to for awesome Chinese food ..worth driving from mission to abby .hadnt had in long time .ordered last night oct 5 2022 and was unedible!!$60 into garbageWont order again

Spent over 50$ on take out threw skip the dishes and never again will i order from this restauraunt. We really wanted chinese food and it was absolutly discusting. Not only was their a hair in my meal witch completly turned me off of eating but my boyfriend had 2 bites and left it their cause he said his meat tasted like plastic. The containers of food are still sitting on my counter and wont be eaten. The only thing we ate was the spring rolls. Never again will i be ordering from this place. This was the first time and will deffinitly be the last.

Amazing prices. The dinner for 4 gives 2 people dinner for at least 2 days! Very kind staff, beautiful restaurant and it looks like a castle :)

Always satisfied with the quality and quantity of the food but the service is impersonal to the point we would call it dead.We dont tip because they charge $1 for the 5 cent take out container needed to carry away our left-overs. If we ordered as a pickup there would be no such charge. So, we take the view that the container charge is their tip ... less than we would have left them if they werent trying to squeeze it out of us or if there had been any hint of customer appreciation.

Lunch was quite cheap for the amount of serving they have. Recommend this restaurant for those peeps who are on a budget.

Would give zero stars if I could. Wife orders take out for delivery at 7pm. Was told 40 minutes to an hour. 1hour and 45 minutes later still no food....its a Tuesday night. Wife phones and the guy on the phone doesnt seem to know whether the food is even out for delivery or not, but his explanation is that the driver waits for all the orders then takes them all at once......what!!??. They charge $10 delivery and we live about a 3 minute drive from the restaurant. Its also ridiculously expensive now, $90 for 4 dishes and some soup. Give me a break, what a complete rippoff! We told them just to forget about it (it should have been free at this point). They didnt seem to care and no driver ever showed up with our food. I doubt the order was even made. Ive been going here for over 30 years. Will never order from here or step foot in this place ever again!

We ordered from them a year ago and the size of the containers tostada the food came in was a joke, tinny containers they you usually get to take home left overs,So today we order again and the same very small portion containers, and the food was gross I didn’t even finish my plate it went into the garbage, and I’m not really a picky eater ,, very last time we order from them

Good food and service the portions are great. Wasnt really impressed with the egg fu young could be cooked more, that was the only disappointment.

Definitely not the same since the owners kids took over. The word around is that is why things have gone downhill. The portions For take out are much smaller for example. As well if you have a complaint, they don’t care. And trust me, mistakes are made. No restaurant is perfect. And it really is not a big deal because of an imperfection, but it all comes down to how a restaurant deals with that error.

I placed an order on the phone for delivery for dinner tonight. I was tothe wait was about 55 min. After about an hour and a half I called the restaurant and after checking the girl said it had already gone out and should be there shortly. Waited another half hour and no order. We live about 7 minutes away. shouldnt take that long! Called again and this time the girl passed me off to a man who seemed to be manager. I explained the situation to him nicely and he was immediately on the defensive . He said he had called the driver and there was no answer, so that meant the driver was coming down our street; dont know how he knew that as nobody was driving on our street. I was being very calm and nice about this. He kept making excuses that thfe driver must be held up in traffic, etc. At this point I got upset and told him it was unacceptable esp. with the prices they charged. He assured me it was coming. Fine. 15 to 20 min later the driver comes skidding up to the driveway and practically runs up to the door. At this point we apologise to the driver and declined the order and explained it had been a very long wait and several phone calls. the driver says that was why the boss rushed him out the door. At least I was paying cash, so out no money. We wont be ordering from there again.

The food is always great and the portion size is fantastic. The staff is very friendly. We always love to go there...

this place is open at the times perfect to arrive early to grab a bite before a flight. all the other Chinese restaurants seem to be closed between 2-4pm. Total recommend the crab and cheese Rangoon. service here is excellent. for my first experience in Abbotsford, this place is a highlight of the trip.

Just had my first really bad experience after decades. The beef curry hot pot was tough tendons, and I get that times are tough but the man was arrogant and unhelpful when I had the need to complain.I just threw out the food and had no dinner.

Ordered takeout and had my partner pick it up. Got home and discovered that they had goven us one incorrect item. Had to drive back to swap it out. They took the incorrect item back (ostensibly to give to someone elsewhich is a foodsafe violation and offered no compensation.

Ordered a combo for one today...delivered by skip the dishes. The food was mediocre. I was disappointed by the quality of the food. Unfortunately based on my experience, I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Worst dining experience I can recall. .Our server was fabulous. Addressed the overcooked pork jerky with a slightly better portion. But since when is it the diners responsibility to ask how cheesecake is served? According to the manager, its expected to ask this- it was served frozen solid and terrible attitude given when I politely requested a thawed one . Please fire this individual- we wont be back because of her.

I never give 5 stars, but if I did Dragon Fort would get them.Great food, generous portions, appears to be clean and well maintained. Great location with enough parking.If you enjoy GREAT Chinese Food you gotta try this place.

Ordered and paid for delivery at 5:15.We were called at 9:30 and asked if we still wanted it delivered. No thanks.They at least credited my visa back.I will go without before trying again

Places an order at 4:10 pm and was told it would be ready between 5:30 to 6pm. It was Mother’s Day. When I got there there must have been 50 people or more people in front of. Never seen anything like that before. When I finally got up to ask about my order they said it might be another hour. Some people put an order online at 11:00am and were told it will be ready by 5 and it wasn’t. It was real chaos. Will not be going back

Came here after being recommended by a friend. They said Dragon Fort has authentic Cantonese dishes in their menu so I decided to give them a try tonight. We were blown away by the portion sizes and the flavour was on par with spots in Metro Van. Skip the Westernized dishes and give their authentic dishes a try. Ordered salted fish and chicken fried rice, beef stew hot pot, fish and tofu hot pot, and salt and pepper squid. All of the dishes tasted great! And again… portions were huge! Will definitely be back

Love their veggie chicken balls but on May 3 we ordered veggie chicken balls however they gave us actual chicken balls. There is a colour difference between veggie (dark brownand meat chicken balls (white). However, by the time I saw them, the guests that were vegetarians had already eaten them. I contacted the restaurant and they gave us veggie chicken balls. I just want others to know to verify their vegetarian items before serving/eating them.

Its a nice Chinese restaurant. Decent price with good amount and taste. I picked up dinner for 4. I guess one unfortunately thing is the almond chicken as the breaded part was too much.

Not the best. Chicken chow mein had one piece of chicken. My sweet and sour had pineapple chunks so big that I needed a knife to cut it up. Thats twice we werent super happy.

Food quiet taste good, we actually like it. Poor service when it comes to their customer. As soon as we arrived, someone assisted us to the table and we ordered right away. We’ve waited for 30 minutes only to find out that our order was not in their list. No one care to ask us if we are waiting for our order or if we already order as we sipped a cup of tea. We just knew that the order was not processed when we followed up for it. It was not busy during that time. There were only 4 tables including us, waiting for the order. They rushed the order though.

Food is mediocre, price is high enough Id expect better food.The biggest frustration is that the last 2 times Ive ordered is taken over 1 hour and 20 minutes for delivery. Delivery driver both times said the restaurant was dead slow.

We ate here a few years ago and it was great, but we did an order through Skip the Dishes and my husband felt so ill after eating "very greasy deep fried prawns" that he couldnt eat anymore of his meal. And the chicken chow mein had red peppers which ruined the taste. My SS chicken balls were delicious but the fried rice was mushy and the baby corn bits were hard like dried out inside. You get the point. We were so disappointed and this meal wasnt "cheap" We paid good money. Well never order from here again.

The food was alright. Definitely not worth the price though. I will say it wasnt one of those places that uses a while bunch of fat in their sweet and sour pork and so on. Just some of the flavors werent really the best. The honey ginger beef didnt have a ginger flavor

I come here to eat with family on special occasions and the service never fails to amaze me. The last time I went was for my mom’s birthday late January and the owner even came to sing happy birthday with us while we brought in the cake! The serving staff here are very friendly and the food always comes hot, the kids we have in our families always chow down on the food because thats just how amazing it is even for picky eaters like them. Friendly environment and I will always come back here!

Dragon Fort was always kind of known as the "average" place to get Chinese food amongst my friends and family, but recently they changed something. The dinner combos all taste better somehow and while I dont know what they did, its for the better. Change occurred when they switched the take out boxes. If you need cheap and good food its a great choice.

We’ve been coming to Dragon Fort for 25+ years. Used to be excellent value but not anymore. Since new ownership portions are smaller, quality has decreased, prices increased, a lot. When I ate in a few weeks back I asked for a take out container to take home leftovers I was charged an extra dollar per container for it. Tonight was take out. The wait for your order past the time promised was ridiculous. The topper was getting the order home and finding it was tepid at best. Used to be great but it’s not anymore. I won’t be back and judging by recent reviews Im not the only one.

Good sized servings! Lots of onion in anything with veggies, three plates had an overload of onions. Good service but doesnt want to give anything extra...hesitant to bring knives for the table, hesitant to bring two sets of chopsticks, would only supply three takeout containers when we asked for four(said "three is enough, you put those together"). The food is better than the average western Chinese food. Good flavour. Good choices.

We have been looking for a good Chinese restaurant in the Fraser Valley. Our familys happy to find this gem.Great food! Flavors and portions were spot on.But what really stood out for us was the thoughtful, attentive and friendly service from each of the staff who helped made the dining experience worth the drive from the neighboring city.(BIG PLUS WORTH MENTIONING: I am always checking out cleanliness of an establishment, especially the washrooms. The wrost place do take out. I ordered pick up at 6:45 and waited at the restaurant till 7:20 to get the order. The food was so bad and the manager was very rude when i asked for my food. He was like you have to wait if you need your food

Lunch special is deal, great portion and amazingly inexpensive. Foods taste ok.Friendly staff and nice atmosphere (huge space)

Very filling mixed vegetable chow mein plate with added chicken. They forgot the chop sticks but food still gets 5 stars.

Got take out for the first time here and boy was it delicious. Best Chinese food Ive had in a while. My family all loved it as well. The veggie spring rolls are amazing.

Its like feeding time in the barn. Hilarious. We went with friends and ordered the Dinner for six. We had to investigate about more water, more tea, more coffee. Food was really average but you get what you pay for. Waitress was really grumpy, she looked like she wished herself miles away from this place. Parking lot with security. This is nice as the neighborhood is not so good.

This place is the best Chinese food I have ever had. We come all the way from Victoria to get it. If we ever come to the mainland we will always detour through Abbotsford to get Dragon Fort!!

Ive gone to Dragon Fort numerous times and I have to say its become my go-to place for their lunch specials. So far Ive tried the 4 lunch combos that Ive attached pictures of below, and Ive been very satisfied with them. The portions and price is unbeatable. They really are so big thats its hard to walk after eating them, and the price is actually cheaper than other lunch combos from other chinese places. My favourite of the 4 is definitely the sweet and sour pork, chow mein with pork fried rice. It hits the spot every single time!
