280 Spadina Ave., Toronto, ON M5T 3A5, Canada, Toronto
Unassuming shopping center offering a bookstore, gift & accessory stores, eateries & electronics.
The dragon meat was very juicy and the sauce was delicious!
Not a lot of options as I liked. I normally go there just for the dim sum on the top floor which is great.
Meh not alot there , definitely skip the claw machines games place there , they used to be good but it seems they have recently made the claws so weak its hard to win anything even if u pick something up as soon as the claw hits the top it drops it everytime. There are some polite people in some of the.stands/stores tho that are always nice to see
The arcade has the cutest toys!
Hey look at that its the dairy queen with the king Julius organge Julius. See my other diary entry about this place because I think it applies quite well. You would be remiss to see how cozy this place can be, especially if you are a person of little to know expectations for yourself and the world around you... Give me a sec my stomach kind of hurts...
The worst n smelly washroom in Chinatown small size mall. No need wear mask, but majority stores closed down due to Covid19. Dont waste time visiting here, lol...
Lots of cool shops in an iconic part of Toronto. There are two arcade areas where you can play to win various cute prizes.
Not a real exciting mall. Elevators werent working. No background music. Looked like it was 3/4 empty so not sure if this was just the wrong time of day, but didnt really find it that great.
The only good thing about this place is the underground parking. The Mall itself is in rough shape.
Nice cozy mall with free wi-fi and many Chinese food and shopping options. The mall has the famed juicy dumpling in it.
Lots of good eats and deals.
Just went there and looking for the photoshop and walk around and literally a RUDE lady selling stuffy toys RUDE lady yelling to customer, She should tell it nicely without Yelling common how RuDE that is.my son got scared , He feel bad because of that he dont even touch it, if kids didn’t saw a sign no touch I tell them to apologize or I gonna buy it.but dont ever Yell to anyone especially if a customer try to buy something to your store.Be nice and say it nicely , be kind your not the special lady selling stuff there.RUDE LADY if you have kids dont ever go there She Litterally RUDEST………
Went to the karaoke bar there. Homeless guy sleeping at the lobby.
Not like what I remember coming to visit 20 years ago, very rundown but signs still stay the dim sum restaurant is still in business
Quality is okay, my experience in this restaurant has been pleasant.
Dragon city is no longer crowded like what it used to be anymore and it is sad to see it this way.
Its not that big but has its perks, Free washroom being one of them. Also you should definitely try the Claw machines on the 2nd floor, and adorable cute anime prizes
NEVER buy egg waffles at the mall entrance on the main level !! A bit overpriced and TERRIBLE customer service from the Chinese middle aged short hair lady ! When you requested for a freshly made waffle, you were given the already made ones left on the counter ( who knows how long ago they were made and left there ? ). The lady simply told you she was only selling these old waffles or you got nothing!! We used to buy from this store every time we visited the mall, never given this kind of attitude , so will never buy again from this store. Too bad that this kind of customer service makes them losing customers !
Small amount of shops here but we had some cool photo ops while inside. Feels like we left Toronto for a sec. I am hoping they can continue to grow this mall. Maintain the mom and pop shops. You can get to Juicy Dumplings from here!
I liked it but was kinda disappointed that they only had hotdogs not hamburgers. The staff was really nice thought.
OMG, I don’t believe this is in Canada. So dirty you have to stop breathing near the elevators cause it smells like Urine there. It is unbelievably disgusting.
Nasty washroom. Poor service. Mostly Chinese people out there.
Nostalgic feel to this place, lots of great eats!
Cute shops! Some stores are cash only but theres some stores within the mall that will offer cash back if you dont have any on hand.
Mall is getting old and run down. Cheap underground parking.
This rating is specifically for Rainbow gifts. Don’t dare to go in the shop. The lady who works there is unbelievably rude. Her attitude was disgusting. I walked in the shop looking for a bracelet for my mom. I said hi when i walked in and she grunted and continued to follow me around the store as if i was trying to steal something. i was looking at a necklace and she rudely scream the price and when i went to grab a bracelet off the shelf to buy it she screamed at the top of her lungs telling me not to touch anything. i was so disgusted i ran out the store while she chased me through out the isle to make sure i didn’t take anything. I hope someone robs her cheap little store.
It is a bit crowded for a old building it is clean, parking under ground is very reasonable for down town.
Small mall on Spadina. Was there because DQ was in front and hubby wanted a mango smoothie. They were out of ice😄. The mall has drug store and barber and tea and herbs store and convenience store with post office. Upper floor I believe were offices.. Doctors office and others. I was able to buy my green and black tea leaves decent amount for combined price of $10. They dont take debit or credit, only cash😒.
Pandemic closed a lot of businesses down. Theres some semi-decent food places but otherwise lackluster
A small mall in the Chinatown area with couple of restaurants, bathrooms, salons and other services. Paid Parking available.
In its heyday, this ethnic shopping centre was absolutely the anchor to the community. Still is as it physically dominates the scene, however it has a few abandoned and empty stores which use to sell bootleg and import goods like clothing and video.Since my last visit, I noticed a few renos to the second floor. Little cheap arcade next to Can Teen, medical services on the 3rd floor and a restaurant on the top floor.Definitely waiting for a revival but still a nice spot to visit to get your lucky envelopes.
Dragon City Mall is a good place to go shopping you could also find a coffee shop or just hang out and you can pretty much buy anything that you desire or need
This mall use to have designer handbags and jewelry. I would buy it a few years back. Does anyone know where they are located now?
We made an impromptu stop here to get bubble waffles and curry fishballs at the front entrance. So good!
A historical Chinese mall named after the mysterious and legendary creature. Houses a lot of great stores, including the famous OWL restaurant from Korea and the Dragon Sky Dim Sum Restaurant. Great view from the Dragon Sky Dim Sum Restaurant. Being on the top floor of the mall, you can enjoy the great view of the China Town landscape and take a good sip of the exotic Chinese tea. A must go place in Toronto.
A gem of Chinatown that used to be the hustle, bustle and talk of the town more than a decade ago. Now its just a run-down building with dying businesses, the only modern place here is the Rogers Phone Store that helps the Chinese elderly with their tech problems (shoutout to them).I hope this place continues to last through the ages, but thats up to whoever owns this place to start cleaning up and keeping up with the times.
Yes yes I remember, almost all in this place was empty. No visitors almost all the shops were closed around this place is too dirty. I think future of this place notno longer stand. I said what I want saw.
It was a first with family after forty years living in Toronto and sorry not to have visited sooner. Dim sum items were tasty with generous portions. There was a hearty down home feel.about the food. However, the rice skins were a little heavy compared with other restaurants offerings. Both har gow and shui mai stuck to the lining paper in the steaming containers. Staff were pleasani. Patrons are obviously return customers coming for "tea".
An iconic worn-down plaza located at Spadina and Dundas. Everything in the area looks like its getting an upgrade while the exterior looks brand new, the inside looks a bit outdated. There are decent restaurants in here like Canteen, Owl of Minerva and Juicy Dumplings that anchor the mall for consistent customers that walk through. Sometimes the 1 elevator going upwards is down, so prepare for the stairs! It does get decorated to celebrate any festivities though!Bonus: Theres also a great egg waffle vendor that is not listed on the map but has been there for over 10+ years since Ive visited. (Located at the main north east exit)
Great Variety of Merchandise and Shops All Gathered Together Nicely in this Mall Downtown. Has a Great Koream Restaurant Inside Upstairs.
I came here earlier today because I wanted to buy a calendar. This mall is really nice and you can find some really great things in here. Every year theres a Lunar New Year sale and the mall hosts a celebration as well. Its a real community hub thats been around for years within easy reach of great grocery shopping and other services.I recommend everyone visit this place at least once.
It was my first time visiting this mall, I didnt know it existed and honestly even though there were only a select few places open I loved it! The atmosphere is different, my visit was beyond expected and I hope when this pandemic passes I can *really* experience everything and checkout more places.
Nice place, a few small shops. If you would like dumplings, bubble waffles, or bubble tea you will pay a lot less here than elsewhere downtown at the "trendier" spots. There are also a few shops that I havent spent much time in. They are okay, but from the looks of it you will get much better prices for the same products from the shops outside along Spadina. They have a very good screening process, and check your temperature when you enter, and it isnt usually very busy, so its a good socially distanced place to get out of the rain for an hour.
Post office, Dairy Queen, Dynacare Lab for blood tests, Chinese medicine shop, Chinese gift shops for feng shui items, etc. Very sunny so photos blurry but gives you a sense. Like the phones. We need to keep these to remember our world before cell phones. A nice touch. I use them.
A small mall in heart of Toronto Chinatown. The pharmacy in mall gave me good advice for my skin rash!
This mall has been around for ages and honestly, unless youre going for something specific they have there, there isnt much to see or do. A few businesses have been open a while as well as the medical labs and an aged dim sum restaurant upstairs. The rest are usually ever changing as they cant stay in business. Think there is a karaoke place now with private rooms. Its a small mall that you can browse in minutes. Its cylindrical and only really two floors. Paid parking in the basement, but watchout for that steep incline and tight turn ramp.
This is not a place for human activities. I dont understand why there is such a dirty place in a civilized country like Canada. From the appearance, I can see that no one has cleaned it for a long time
Its more of a collection of stores than a mall.. a bunch of doctors offices + restaurant on the top floor that has specials in the morning. Parking is connected in the basement ( very affordablebut lately bunch of hoodlums have been smoking weed in the stairwell stinking up the place
A rather awful mall, the stairs from the underground parking to the mall filled with a bad smell, like a septic tank, was very bad.
Friendly staff who get to know the regulars quickly. Delicious authentic old-school Cantonese Chinese Dim Sum before 10 am, switching more to modern Chinese Dim Sum from 10am to 2pm - served on rolling carts brought to your table. This large penthouse restaurant has a lovely view of the city, and a more upscale feel to it, but with reasonable prices. Wheelchair accessible to the dining room, the washrooms are also accessible, but the stalls are only the standard size. Staff speak English, Cantonese and Mandarin. Children are welcome and well behaved, and high chairs and booster seats are available.
