Dr. Jon C. Parks, MD - Doctor in Saint Joseph, United States
So far not a great experience. My little brother is a quadriplegic and trying to get scheduled for a stimulator implant. The office never returned any of his calls and ended up having to go down to the office in person to get a paper that details how to do the psych evaluation necessary to schedule surgery. I understand being busy but no call back for two weeks is a bit much.
I had my first injections yesterday and all the staff was so very kind and comforting to me. They knew I was nervous because of my past experiences at another facility. Not that they didnt work, just the amount of pain I endured. I cried everytime I got the injections.Dr. Parks is a very kind, gentle, and caring physician. He reassured me it was going to be fine. I had very little pain and I did not shed one tear!! Dr. Parks and his staff are awesome!! They truly care about their patients. Thank you APMA for such a great experience! You all are best!
What the point to sign saying you do drug test then wont even give you pain medicine. I am suffering in pain bad today and try so hard not to cry. They just in it for higher money not helping people that suffer in pain. They are not pain doctors they are ripped offs.
I’ve been there 3 times now for a steroid epidural for bulging discs. Most offices that do injections have at minimum a three month wait. Dr Parks leaves openings in his schedule for urgent appointments like mine. I’ve been in severe pain for 2 months but my primary care doctor kept brushing me off. I begged for a MRI and like I knew it would it showed my discs bulging and compressing multiple root nerves. My MRI was two weeks ago and my steroid epidural was today. Each time I’ve been there the PA’s have treated me so kindly. I had Amanda today and she was wonderful. She explained everything in detail. Dr Parks is so kind and has a great bedside manner. He’s also funny. I was whimpering while the steroid was going in and he wonderful at try to soothe me. He explained what he was doing throughout the procedure and it went so quickly I was shocked when he said I had 20 seconds left. He shook my hand twice before leaving the room. He’s one of the most caring doctors I’ve met. In 5 years when I’ll undoubtedly need an injection again, I’ll be seeing Dr Parks. Bonus Dr Parks brings his German shorthair Dyson to work and you can see him running the halls. There used to be two but the other one sadly passed away 2 years ago. He would let me pet him while getting my blood pressure taken and would let me give him hugs. I’m an animal person so anywhere that animals is a plus for me.If you’re in pain, see Dr Parks. If you need in quickly have your primary care doctor office call them and you’ll get in quickly.Thank you for caring Dr Parks!
This place is a joke! Dr Peoples told my husband she would send a script on after his UA came back and it has been 19 days since then. Finally today he was told he is getting a script for Tylenol 3s instead of percocet and that the UA still isnt back! Im beyond upset
Amanda was very kind and informative. She knows my kind.LOL.Shes a sweetheart. Dr Parks is the best! Thank you all!
My grandfather woke up in terrible back pain one morning and his PCP recommended Dr Parks to help with the pain. The staff was amazing to work with they got him in within a couple of days. He saw Kim who is one of the PAs and absolutely loved her. She was very knowledgeable and compassionate and answered all of his questions. He did need to be sent out for an MRI but the day of the MRI we got a call from the office to schedule an injection and they were able to get him in the following day.The injection went well. Dr Parks was very kind and explained everything he was doing during the procedure. My grandfather is 82 but very active and was thrilled he was able to return to his activities shortly after the injection. He said everyone was so kind down the the medical assistant that helped him out to his car afterwards. We highly recommend Dr Parks and Advanced Pain.
Dr. Parks and staff took the time to listen and really care about their patients. I highly recommend
Had my first low back epidural with Dr. Jon Parks. He did an amazing job! Was very informative and talked me through the entire procedure. Staff was also friendly and efficient.
Dr.Parks and staff provided incredible service, were responsive and listened to my needs. Highly recommended!!!
Id be in unimaginable pain if it werent for Dr. Parks, all the providers, nurses, MAs and other staff at APMA! I dont know if all the negative reviews are really meant for this office. Ive been coming here for years and couldnt be more grateful. Best pain management in Wichita!!
Its a great place everybodys caring they care about your health and conditioning and I wouldnt want to go anywhere else
Worst clinic Ive ever been to!! Completely disorganized & staff totally untrained! Didnt ask proper questions when appt was made resulting in a 25 min.delay to check in. Was asked to give a UA & front desk did NOT give instructions. Had to throw away 1st specimen & waited another 30 min before I could give another specimen! Worst clinic ever!! DONT GO THERE!!!!
I agree with alot of the negative reviews for this place and some of the people that work there. Had a 8am appointment trying to be first one done so I continue my day, no had to wait 30 minutes before PA Natalie came in and ask a few questions and sad they couldnt do anything for me this visit, that I would have to come back for treatment, makes no sense Im there for treatment not conversation, she was not very helpful with what I wanted done. Will not go back here again. I was treated by Doctor park a few years back and was treated on the first visit and pain was relieved, sorry I couldnt have seen him. Just beware first visit is not going to help you, seems more like a money grab. Good luck if you go there, you might want to look at all the reviews and you can see why the low ratings.
Wow am I surprised at all the negative reviews. I have been going here for years with not one negative visit. I see kim now and shes great! Dr Parks has been fantastic. Every injection I had he explained to me everything and the staff was nice. I have had injections at other places that were way more painful! Dr Parks is gentle as he can be and great at what he does. My surgery went well just as planned as well.
My first consultation was with Derrick in early March 2022. He was kind, compassionate and highly knowledgeable. Derrick explained the steps and the process he wanted to try for managing my chronic pain. He referred me to a rheumatologist for April 5, 2002 and for a nerve block procedure on April 13, 2022. Derrick also prescribed oral pain medication, explaining that we would start slowly but work towards long acting pain medication. The medication I was given gave me little to no relief but I was told I could not come back for 30 days. When I went to my next appointment one month later, I was informed that Derrick was no longer with Advanced Pain Management Associates. No explanation was provided. When I went to my second appointment I was told I would be seeing Natalie. Natalie was cold, unsympathetic and I did not feel that she listened to me explain my poor quality of life. I felt that Derrick listened to me and explained my options and made me feel like he cared. Natalie, however, did not act as if she cared about my pain or my quality of life. I advised Natalie that the pain medication was not working and that I get only 2 hours of sleep at night due to pain. Natalie appeared unfazed and un concerned. Natalie kept insisting on keeping me on the pain medication that was giving me very little relief. I left the appointment feeling mistreated and defeated. Natalie prescribed pain patches that turned out to be over $400 and not covered by insurance. I called APMA and was told to just use the oral pain medications that she prescribed and to "not worry" about the pain patches. I knew that I would have to wait a full month before my next appointment with untreated pain and I felt that APMA, and Natalie in particular did not care. I followed all instructions and went to my rheumatology appointment as scheduled. The rheumatology specialist believes that, just as Derrick said, I have an autoimmune disease and took x-rays of my lower back. I received a call the next day because they were seeing a lot of damage to my lower back. I have been scheduled for an immediate MRI. I was treated with compassion and a concern for my pain and quality of life. Natalie has proven incapable of providing me with that level of care. I do not wish to see Natalie at my next visit and I want to speak to APMA regarding my lack of care.
My PA is Natalie. Best medical person I have ever had! She is thorough, caring, and VERY personable, which is rare these days. Listens to any concerns and gives answers people can understand. I have been getting cervical injections from Dr. Parks for about 10 years. Never any issues, but needles dont bother me. I recommend anyone with chronic pain issues to check them out!
I got mixed stories from them regarding treatment. An MRI was needed of the Lumbar& cervical areas and then the Lumbar ESI injection was scheduled. Pretty painful and then in a later phone call regarding little to no reduced pain. It was said that the full results of the MRI wasnt known at the time of the injection. So. ? Why did I get an MRI ? I also had a Cervical ES Injection which was pretty much painless but it also resulted in next to zero relief. As far as I know the numbing medicine helped for maybe 48 hours and then it was like nothing else was done. While in the procedure room the Dr. said the problem was originating from my elbows. Call it a ( classical case of ?? After dealing with this back issues for well over a decade. He determined it wasnt vertebrae issues but a elbow issue.? So all the prior doctors are wrong. All the MRI and X rays and CT scans are wrong. Only my elbows have not been X Raid and somehow its my elbows that are the problem..? So Im not sure if weve made a step forward or 5 steps backwards? They want me to make another appointment ASAP for more injections.. Boosters .. Sound familiar ? I dont know what to believe now. Other than nothing was gained and I went there out of desperation after begging the VA for help.
This review has nothing to do with the physicians at this location, since We never have met them. My wife had a scheduled appointment for 7:50 A.M. and called in only to get a recording, which if you read the other reviews about this place, seems to be the expected norm. The recording says they open at 8:00 A.M. which added a little confusion and made it so we werent able to ask questions before the appointment.Since my wife babysits our grandchildren, I took some time off work to not only help with them but also to hear what the second opinion was going to be. We drove in the rain from out of town for this appointment and when we got to the east bound K96 Oliver exit, it was backed up to the highway. When the light did turn green, it would only let about a ½ dozen cars through and then stay red for an extended amount of time (Dont know if this is normal for this intersection or not).We ended up getting to the appointment 6 minutes late and this was too much for them to handle because they would only consider rescheduling. Then they told us we were supposed to be 20 minutes early, which was not mentioned when the appointment was made. This does not make sense to me. I hold meetings at my work and I believe if I told people that the meeting had to be rescheduled because they were supposed to be there 20 minutes early, I will guarantee you we would lose customers very rapidly. I guess thats just me being logical. If you want us there at a specific time, we should probably set the appointment for that time.We did stay long enough to fill out the paperwork and re-schedule and in this time, there was only one other patient in the waiting room that came in before us. I had plenty of time to have dialog with this other patient about our grandchildren while my wife filled out the paperwork. She certainly waited more than 6 minutes before they called her back! Im surprised she didnt let them know she had to reschedule. We are currently debating whether or not to return to the new appointment.
Everyone beware!! If I could give a minus 10 for a review I would!! They need to take this jokers license!! My husband was going to him for years. He was on one of the strongest pain meds there is. He NEVER took more than prescribed, and actually he would try to take less! My husband ended up getting sick, and was taking cough syrup. COUGH SYRUP!!!! Because of that, and was tested when he went in for his monthly appt, they totally cut him off cold turkey!!!! Nothing to help him come off of it! They wouldn’t even take his calls!!! We started to sue him, but decided we didn’t want to put ourselves thru that. We told other Drs what he did, and they also said that’s very dangerous, and he should not have done that. Especially for the reason they gave!! I really wish they would shut him down, just to show this joker he can’t treat people like that!! There are other pain management Drs out there that are reputable, and actually care. Stay away from this one.On their responses, when they decide to respond, they always put the same thing. Please call our office to discuss your concerns. They don’t take time to address the certain patient at hand. This so called Dr should go get a new profession! He’s about as heartless as they come! And most reviews say the same thing! I want everyone to know, there are Drs out there that really do care, and that will help! This one just isn’t it! His license needs revoked!! The day will come and he will get his due justice, which will be a happy day! It’s Drs like Parks that give a new meaning to practicing medicine!!
I received an injection and complained of a headache on July 4th weekend and was told to deal with the pain theres no way it could be related....2 e.r. visits later I got my SPINAL HEADACHE treated properly. And still never received a call of concern from them. And they released my HIPPA info to people they shouldnt have
Very disappointed with this facility. Office staff unresponsive & unhelpful. Also not impressed with treatment that I received as it made pain worse & they just want to keep injecting steroids even though they made me feel worse. Facility did not seem clean as it smelled & I had stench from table that I layer on until I showered, so wouldnt recommend showering before appointment.
The most unprofessional and rude doctors office I have ever experienced. For a office that deals with people in chronic pain, I find it incredibly sad that noone here actually answers the phone. To try to get any information or schedule an appointment you have to wait for a call back, generally 2 to 3 days. The most frustrating thing is the constant canceling of appointments. In the last month I have had my appointment canceled 2 times due to either the doctor deciding to take a day off (which I do understand happens). However today I got a call canceling my appointment literally 30 minutes before the appointment. The reason you may ask? They were running behind schedule and had to cancel some appointments... Uhh what? Doesnt exactly seem ethical to me but what do I know, Im not a doctorUnfortunately the well being of the patients is not the goal of the doctors here, only profit. If you are in pain do yourself a favor and dont wait 4 months for this doctor to finally get around to see you. Go elsewhere.
I was at the office to get paper work signed for my husband. Was told they dont do that we would have to go to my Primary doctor.Ask she did not perscride the meds .This med is called BELBUCA ITS A OPIUM.I started hallucinating, my husband was told to get me off ASAP .HE called the client no one refund the call . This is not the first time Dr Parks clinic has done this to me but it is the last .Got angry they (STAFFKicked me out told me never to come back.
Kimberley Clothier is the PA I am assigned to and I just love her. She cares so much for her patients and treats them with such respect. Finding this group has been nothing but a God send for me. For a short while there was one nurse there I didnt care for due to her attitude. She treated people like objects in her way. Thank goodness I havent seen her for a long time because everyone else Ive came across is kind and very gracious with a smile. I have and will again recommend this group to anyone dealing with chronic pain.
My only regret is not coming here sooner!! They are awesome to deal with and give you real treatment for real pain! My son raved about how good they were and I can see why now! My Nurse Practitioner was kind, caring, and very very knowledgeable on how to help the chronic back pain I have. She added an antidepressant that works on nerve pain, and set me up for a shot to my sacrum. I got the shot today and Dr Parks is GREAT! Way better than previous epidural experiences. No anesthesia- just a local- fast and easy. Used x-Ray to direct needle and hit the right spot. Pain increases for a while but then gets much better! They are the place to treat your pain! But you MUST be compliant to the treatment and medications. Easy to do because they help so much. Not a place for drug seekers or non compliant patients.
The staff has No feels for anyone. I read a review about her husband been on one drug from 2 years .pain medication for that long your body rejected after 14mo . I asked for a new pain med was told NO.THE DR THAT IS THERE ONLY DOES THE PERSUHERS
I will never step inside this building again because the injection pain wasso intense I felt like a dead dog lying on that table afterwards. no human nor animal should experience that type of pain while being conscious. A minute prior to the injection I asked the Docotor if this was going to hurt. He said no it wont. What an unbelieveable lie. He left the room immediately after the injection and did not say a word as I laid there.
Kimberley Clothier is an Amazing provider. She is always So Caring about my chronic pain and me. She always asks if I have any questions, always asks if everything is going good I go away feeling pleased withThe staff ensures that every question I have is answered. My needs are met, and discuss any new pain-related, very professional job.Truly The Best Pain Clinic. . .
I wished that I had read the reviews before my appointment today. They are mostly bad! How is it they get so many bad reviews and don’t seem to want to change it? And you know many others have had a bad experience but don’t say anything. I was supposed to get a shot for pain today, but was told no. Only because I didn’t give them my co pay at the window. I’ve been to several doctors in the last 4-5 months for back problems and because of COVID I haven’t paid any co pay with staff-they bill me so that we have less contact. I have more than enough money to pay but there was no way for me to leave to get my card to come back and pay. She wouldn’t allow it and rudely said well should I reschedule you then? I said no I won’t be back here. I pay for a service and don’t need to be treated the way you just talked to me. I started crying and left. It was her lack of compassion that did it. Why are these people in this profession? Makes no sense! And she said I had to take a picture for some reason, I said then why did you copy my driver’s license? I’ve never had to do this in any doctors office. This was so awful today that I’ll be contacting the media and I’ll keep writing a bad review.
Amanda Ewertz is a fantastic provider. She is always very personable with every appointment. She is thought-provoking and ensures that ever question I have is answered. She makes sure that my needs are met and discusses any new pain related issues. She as well does a very professional job in administering trigger point injections. I have recommended her to three individuals now, relaying that she is concerned, understanding, and watchful in keeping chronic pain managed. If you are considering pain management, trigger point injections or any other type of injections, than her office is the place to schedule with.
My chronic pain situation has significantly worsened, so I called to make an earlier appointment rather than waiting for 3 weeks. I asked for an appointment with the physician as well as the nurse practioner. I was told that my request could not be done. I said that I would like to have the physicians input and ideas. Instead, I was told that the doctor did not "see" patients unless they were receiving an injection, such as a nerve block. I replied that the doctor is the one who I am paying and that I insisted upon seeing him in person. I was refused.I am a PhD-level R.N. and have worked many years as a university professor in nursing. I asked for some professional courtesy, but was turned down flat. This is unconscionable. I will be consulting with my family doctor this week to arrange for a new pain management clinic.
I have been trying to schedule an injection since last Monday 9/14/2020. I have called at least 5 times. Each time following the guidance on their VM. As directed I left my name, phone number, DOB and a brief description of my pain.I have been called back 3 times with no help, once with a different patients instruction. When I pointed out their mistake I got the rude treatment. Since then this clinic stopp3d calling me and has twice called my wife. This works for most people, except my wife and I have been opposite schedules.I again reached out today, asked them to stop calling my wife and call me...THE PATIENT. They callef me back, tried saying the only phone number they have is for my wife. Thats an outright lie. So instead of assisting me with scheduling me an appointment, the tech transfwrred me back to their VM to leave a mesaage with a different tech/nurse.At this time I am a week into to trying to get appointment. I guess I need to visit TriCare and find a new place that values its patients.I wonder if Dr Park knows how difficult they make getting an apppointment?
Terrible communication. Was a patient there for a year and after a car accident resulting in three fractured ribs, I called the oncall number 7 times over the weekend. No response. When I called during the week find out why I was told the doctor thought someone else was taking care of it. 7 times in two days. No apologies or refunds for bad service.
I had an appointment scheduled for an injection. I told them prior I may have a minor allergy to shellfish, but never diagnosed. They asked for my pharmacy and said if they need to they will call it in. They failed to follow allergy protocol beforehand and call on prescriptions like they should have so they couldn’t do the injection today. I went to the pharmacy and nothing was called in so I figured since it was minor then they didn’t need to prescribe me anything and proceed with my procedure. Upon arrival they said I will have to come back another day. This was after my $40 copay was paid. I had to bring my infant son and take off work and get a driver just to have me reschedule upon arrival. They did not care that they wasted my time and money! The nurses were rude and claimed I never said anything when scheduling. They shouldn’t make that claim as I very clearly brought it up during scheduling. I wish they record their scheduling appointment calls so they could listen to me tell them that I did tell them prior.
I was on methadone for 15 years due to chronic pain. My doctor died so I am stuck trying to find a new doctor. Thanks to Brownback, I dont qualify for Obamacare so Im entirely self-pay. This place requires 100% up-front payment before youre seen. There is no assistance or discount for the uninsured. Its $330.You have basically no chance of getting a human on the phone when you call. They sit on their laptops instant messaging each other, probably talking badly about patients, while you feel like youre on trial trying to convince them that your former doctor actually had a brain. Also, the actual doctor ONLY does spinal injections. I have spasms and therefore wont even consider that as an option.I have now spent so much trying to get continuation of my amazing pain relief that I cannot afford to look elsewhere. Im stuck with the tiny amount they let me have, if they havent changed their minds.Edit - Since my review, Ive been taken completely off any effective pain relief and told I must have injections or surgery to remain a patient. Even if I could afford those options, I am unwilling to risk the side effects. I was then given the boot and have yet to find another doctor willing to give me affordable, effective pain relief. My health has deteriorated and I barely get out of bed. The only good thing to come out of wasting over $1000 at this place is that I now have an MRI showing that my pain is legitimate. When I called to have the MRI results read to me again, they felt that my status as a former undertreated patient gave them cause to be rude.
I have severe pain due to arthritis in lower back L4/L5. I recieved a shot for bursitis in my low hip ( let’s mention my hip bone is where pain is located). The PA stated I would feel fine to resume normal activities. I had to get a sick note for yesterday and today. I could not sleep last night and still suffering. If you want treatment, do not go here, I’m bedridden and can’t make it into work, daily activities or physical therapy. They offered me no relief.
I dont know what Id do without Dr. Parks and the staff. If you are truly wanting pain relief and follow the recommendations, relief is what you will get. There is no magic cure for pain and its not easily diagnosed. Dont expect a cookie cutter treatment for something so complicated. With the progression in pain that Ive had, I dont know what Id do without them. I couldnt have asked for a better office or better staff to help me. Everyone truly cares about the patients and its shown in the treatment.
This place is pretty worthless. They have little respect for the patients, and you never actually see an MD, just a PA. Then on top of that, if you have a medication that needs to be refilled, you have to see THE EXACT PA that prescribed it, regardless if you had been in the office for a procedure 2 months prior. When you do call for an RX, and it doesnt fit into their bubble of what should be normal they treat you like a junkie, and make it as hard as possible to get an appt let alone any relief for pain. I feel extremely discriminated against, and disrespected. I think it is telling that they only respond to the positive comments and do nothing about the negative ones....typical health care politics.Edit: I have decided not to go back to this worthless place. The PA said that people on pain medication cannot take benzodiazepines because it causes addiction. I have had to take anti-anxiety medication for a myriad of mental health problems, but I tried to try a different course of treatment to see if this group could help me. After 5 months of little sleep, panic attacks and increased depression and anxiety, I had to stop taking my pain meds and get back on medication that actually helps me. Good riddance to bad rubbish.
I have had many injections from numerous doctors and I must say Dr. Parks is awesome. The staff is incredible and you are almost always on time. Very happy I was referred to him.
I have been coming here for over 18years. Between Dr. RITAs quality care and the injection that I receive from Dr.Parks I am able to work my "Physical" job!! I currently have 6 rods in my back from several Back surgeries!! I cant thank Dr. Rita and Dr.Parks for giving me my life Back!@
Advanced Pain and Associates have been an amazing Team for my care and pain management needs. I’ve got a lot of issues and Lien Graham and Dr Jon Parks and Meosha Carr have taken care of me like I’m a family member. Everyone there including the receptionists and nurses and all medical care staff have always been so kind and caring! With all my accidents and major surgeries and My Rheumatoid Arthritis, I don’t t know how I would have dealt with it without Advanced Pain and the entire Team!!! Thank you All for being so wonderful to me!!! You have gone above and beyond for me!!
I have been with Dr. Parks and his staff for as long as he has been in pain management in Wichita. I feel they are terrific. They are sensitive to my needs and work in medical pain management guidelines. They have no control over guidelines established by our government. It must be so hard to hear every patient complaining of pain and be limited to what can be done by insurance and the government.Further they must be confronted with drug seeking individuals on a regular interval. It must be so hard to sort the ones in true need. Yes there are mistakes, they are only human. Would you want to work in a profession of pain management knowing you are under a microscope by the law who are waiting for a mistake of over prescribing. Look at the number of doctors that have lost their license that serve people in chronic pain .THANK YOU DR PARKS AND STAFF
Worst experience we have ever had with a pain mgmt group. We thought we would see a doctor but was seen by Zach, p a. From the very beginning he said he was getting a bad vibe. Told us our family physician doesnt prescribe the medicine correctly. He was pretty full of himself and his"qualifications". When we would try to tell him about our moms problems he would state "he was to be in control of the conversation. He ended our visit by stating we cant seem to work together. He also said he could only be with us for 20 minutes since this was an initial visit. Any caretaker who is more concerned about a time element than what the patient or family has to say needs a lesson on bedside manners. He should consider a different line of work. Zach was very rude and inconsiderate.
You will never see a Doctor, just pas. And they care more about themselves than their patients. They will not listen to you or even try to understand. Go any where else you will be far happier. Dr. Parks years ago was a good doctor listened and helped his patients. Ive known him over 20 years, I dont know what changed. They will also do shady billing with your insurance!
This place is absolutely terrible. Do not believe the commercials and BS they are throwing around on their ads. In the commercial, the doctors and nurses are smiling. Never seen one smile the entire time I was there. They couldnt understand why I was on a medication that was being used off label to help with Fibromyalgia pain. I was on zero opiates or muscle relaxers, and did NOT want to be.I went to help find relief from pain, its in their name. Right? Theyll tailor a plan around you says the commercial. I never got to see a doctor, just a P.A. He wasted my time by just telling me what I know, I have fibromyalgia. Then as I explained to him that I did NOT want to take muscle relaxers, he basically pressured me into taking the prescription. I took them for about 5 days, then threw them in the trash. That was his "plan" to treat my fibromyalgia pain and to help me find relief. The place was a joke plain and simple, go find a real doctor.
I gave this 1 star because of Rita, she is so rude its visuably obviously I have chronic pain from head to toe, she made an insenstive comment saying you should not be walking like that and forced me to turn my head side ways, saying that does not hurt, youre not trying. When I got myself a collar and neck brace she was nasty about it. I had a bulging disc and a spur. Another time I told her the pain medication was not helping ease my pain and I didnt want to take them every 4 hours, I prefer to take extended relase meds to last longer through the day and night if theres such thing? so I can get some sleep. She said so you just want to get high? So insenstive of her. Because I needed the help and relief I put up with her ignorance and dealt with my pain the best I could with hardly any sleep, lost alot of weight 90lbs, skin and bones Im 36 yrs old. The only good was meeting this awesome sweet Dr Scott, he took the time to explain everything to me and he did the ablation on my lower back it was an success. The block was not a success on my neck.I cannot wait to leave and never go back.If youre to call to make an appointment and they say youll be seeing Rita, go somewhere else. Rita is insenstive and rude for no reason.
My husband could hardly walk across the house without excruciating pain in both legs, and this went on for several years. Dr. Park gave him a series of epidurals, and he is now pain free! Hes like a new man; the daily complaining has stopped. I will say that it took 4 shots over a period of 2 or 3 months. It was after the 4th, that the pain finally quit, so dont give up after 1 or 2.
the only reason this isnt a 5 star is because of how long it takes to be seen (scheduling appointments is often a minimum of two weeks out, more if its the latter half of the month for some reason). The staff is typically caring and friendly. The only exception to this is the occasional harried front desk staff. I cant blame them, especially for the abuse they must regularly take from those with drug seeking behavior.Ive been a patient for about a year now due to a torn and bulging l5-s1 that simply refuses to heal and Rhonda Janzen has been very astute in taking care of my pain as well as treating me like a human instead of a piece of meat (as Ive been informed some of their competitors do). Id not hesitate to refer anyone suffering chronic pain to them.As to the rules set up by this clinic: drug tests (including alcoholare a regular part of the regimen here. Its necessary to protect both the clinic and its patients. As long as youre not a drug seeker, Advanced Pain Medicine is the best place I could point anyone to.
Got referred here by my family doctor a few weeks ago. I was hoping to get injections and learn more about my condition. I got an appointment quickly with who I was told would be Dr. Parks. When I showed up I found out that I was not seeing Dr. Parks, I was only seeing his nurse practitioner. Rita Simpson (his nursewas rude, in a huge rush to get me out and offered me no help. It was very obvious that she didnt care about the pain Im in . I also think she thought I was just after pain meds even though I didnt ask about them nor am I intersted in them. I will never go back and never recommend this place.. Especially Rita.
