Downtown Lynchburg Association - Non-profit organisation in Lynchburg, United States
I know that downtown Lynchburg is bad, but there are nice spots like anywhere else. The main reason I go to downtown Lynchburg is because I am so poor that it is hard to go anywhere else (the nearest big city (I am refering to Roanoke, obviouslyis at least 1 hour away), but I am forced to live near Lynchburg because I am poor. Lynhcburg is not historic, but nearby downtown Bedford is historic. Downtown Bedford is small, but it is nicer. Go to Bedford if you want someplace historic. Downtown is half abandoned and most people I know agree that downtown Lynchburg is dead. The few places still open to the public are rarely visited. If you do not live nearby, then is not worth the drive to visit Downtown Lynchburg. It is not actually historic. It is only advertised as historic to get more visitors. All of the staff at the downtown Lynchburg association here are rude and mean. Also, they are closed most of the time. They are allowing and encouraging the continued degeneracy, poverty, and crime of the run-down city of Lynchburg where most everything is closed and there is not much to do.
A must-see site for visitors! Wonderful attractions with plenty of dining options.
It was my first time going downtown Lynchburg. I joined other veterans at MONUMENT TERRACE which meets every Friday from 12 noon till 1300 rain or snow or sun. I will be attending again in the future.
Great spots with so many options for eats, drinks, shopping, history, a walk or a hot cup of joe. You really cant go wrong in downtown Burg
Nice city to enjoy
This is an amazing organization and group of people. They have an amazing passion for our city and work everyday to help it thrive!
Un sitio sencillo con tráfico de gente estudiantes, un buen café pero le falta más servicio de precio regular
Had fun a little expensive
First time in Lynchburg. Really liked it
First experience with the gift cards they sell online didnt go well, but it sounds like an honest mistake occurred, and the organization actually took additional measures in an effort to make things right. Ashley Kerschner seems very personable, and the downtown area has made a lot of progress in the past decade, which obviously reflects strong leadership.

Good Customer Service!
Lots of construction right now on the older buildings. Cant wait to see it when its finished.
The area is in restoring, and revitalization is everywhere.
Support the vets every Friday

😍😍😍😍😍😍
A piece of history that we were all never forget
I am looking forward to going to see the gardens there in the spring
What a great organization for downtown revitalization! I love being able to see all the downtown events on their Instagram. Downtown has so much to offer and the DLA has made it such much easier for someone like me who hates the parking and construction in the area to come downtown to these area!

Lynchburg is a growing community and college town . While it has its faults , I like it here .

Wow beautiful
I love the historical old buildings as well as the streets they were brick
No diversity
When busy its hard to find a parking place.
Great new places, other then the construction.
Beautiful place and nice old buildings. Theyve made a lot of restorations which made the place more beautiful.
Weekly meeting of veterans to keep awareness of our POW/MIA Soldiers from the Vietnam war.
What an amazing turnaround! The revitalization of downtown is gaining momentum and downtown Lynchburg has become the premier place in Central Virginia to live, work, and play. It is truly becoming a vibrant center for the greater Lynchburg area. Every year more and more businesses open and thrive and every year the events get better. There is beautiful history on every block and it is wonderful that downtown Lynchburg has retained its historical urban fabric and built upon it!Be sure to visit the Bluffwalk, Monument Terrace, the revitalized riverfront area, the community market, The Virginian Hotel, The Academy Center of the Arts, and all the wonderful new restaurants and business like El Jefe, Bootleggers, Dukes Diner, Water Dog, Hoppy Books, Skyline Grille, Market at Main, Crisp, Tahinis, and Urbavore! So excited for this growing and revitalizing downtown!
So nice !
