Douglas Village Community Park - Park and Garden in Cork, Ireland
Ok
My grandson had a great time 😊
Lovely park, great play area with swings/slides, zip line, seesaw etc. Great Donut Shack there to get refreshments also.
A very lovely place to walk and to sit and enjoy a delicious coffee from the very friendly ladies in The Coffee Hut.
Good playground. The removed trees and seats pointed at the nearby residents are a shame.
Lovely Park.
Love it. Small but perfect. Credit to all involved in the planting - its just gorgeous with meadow areas. beautifully designed seating areas.
Beautiful beautiful place for everyone to go. Good playground. With other games eg basket ball and gym area for adults too.
Amenities and green-spaces in the Douglas area include Douglas Community Park (a new 5-acre park close to the centre of Douglas Village and it includes a playground and exercise facilities), and Ballybrack Woods (a wooded area south of Douglas village which is known locally as ‘Mangala’, ‘Mangola’, or ‘Mangla’. I first visited the Community Park in August 2021 and because of Covid-19 travel restrictions I was almost the only person there and I really did appreciate the peace and quiet. I visited again in May 2022 and it was obvious that it was very popular.
Love this park small but has a playground many seating areas basketball and football courts
Good place, for a sunny walk. There are games for children in the park. Children can have good time here.
Great place for kids and good facilities. Cold when we were there, but can imagine it being a great place to hang out with families in the summer.
A lovely area that is well kept and accessible to all in the community. There is a playground and exercise machines. There are also well maintained paths and lovely seats. A new addition is a drinking water fountain which is very much welcome. Each Christmas they decorate the park and although all the lights arent working, they are still beautiful
A beautiful little park right in the heart of Douglas Village. A lovely, fairly short walk under gorgeous trees. Outdoor gym equipment available, almost brand new. A lovely playground, well looked after. A full sized caged basketball court or football court on tarmac suitable for all ages. The "dough hut" lives there, run by Lar and his lovely family giving all us locals our daily dose of caffeine and doughnuts, freshly cooked with irresistible smells wafting around the park. Open from 11am to 5pm most days. A must if u visit the park. The park is open 7 days, dawn to dusk. Well worth the visit
Council did a good job renovating this place so it looks more modern but still cosy
Nice park. There is a lovely mobile coffee pod. A playground for kids .small but very nice park in Douglas
Great outdoor space for the public plenty for kids to do and adults to meet 🙂
Lovely park. Peaceful
Good playground. but it has no monkey bars, which my children love. Also coffee station in park
Nice Park location right next to shopping centre. Parking can be a little limited Nice portable coffee 🐎 box with very nice do🧇
Regular park, sort of small. Has some gym equipment. Nice to walk/run in.
Really nice clean park. Great play park for the children and basketball courts for the older kids/adults. Really nice feel about the place.
Park has come on leaps and bounds over the last few years. What used to be a rough area is now family friendly and the new riverside benches are a treat.
Great park with outdoor gym, playground, basketball court! Its very close to primary schools, cafe and shopping centre Tesco, Dunnes stores and Aldi. Great location in the middle of Douglas village also near restaurants and pubs.
Nice little park with a fun playground, exercise area and basketball court. Fab little coffee caravan. Planty places to sit down. During the weekend could be overcrowded.
Very peaceful place, it dose get busy, but if your there nice and early its a good quiet stroll
Very safe place that was recently upgraded. My kids love this place.

Lovely kept park & such a peaceful walk. Well done to all concerned for the upkeep.
Its the first time I step into a public basketball court and find basket nets (well... Basket chains, but they do the trick)
Nice small suburban park, easily located from the heart of Douglas. Ideal for kids and families.
Lovely park with nice playground
Very beautiful place, great playground for kids, grand relax for adults. Sounds and scents of nature in the middle of urban architecture.
Come here with friends on a nice day to chill or sometimes just to think perfect place for kids (parkbut also has a small food trailer by the park.
Nice little park and the childrens playground is good.
Lovely place with chill vibes, close to KC & Son & Sons. Would recommend!
Lovely park something for everyone even a lovely cup of coffee
Lovely park with plenty sport activities.
Grate place, with free parking, to go out with the kids on good weather day. Toilets facilities would be in advantage.
A lot of kids, good place for playing.
A good place for kids a bit dangerous becase of teenagers but good
It is a good Park with playground and basketball court
Nice playground but the park in general is quite messy. You can see teenagers drinking alcohol and smoking there. Not an example for small kids. 😒
Pitch for sports and playground. Beautiful and peaceful place.
Great spot, playground with good variety for kids of various ages. Basketball /football section along with green area. Community centre there which has toilets, not sure what else is in there
Lovely place to walk or let your children use the playground, also connected to Blallybrack Woods(colloquially know as the Mangala all the way up to Donnybrook.
