Douglas in San Juan

If I could give this place a ZERO, I would!!! Worst experience ever!!! No social distancing at all !!! Nobody was 6ft apart or wearing mask.My sister and I got a drink and went upstairs to play pool, midway into other game an Employee ( who was not wearing a mask and was extremely intoxicated!came and started yelling at us in Spanish because we took off the cover the pool table and paid to play.. Apparently, the cover was there so no one would play on it, but there wasn’t any sign that said that in English or Spanish. We tried to apologize and explain to him that in New York, no sign with a cover, just means nobody has played on that table yet, but he just kept yelling at us in Spanish. My sister knows Spanish and even tried to explain to him in Spanish as he continued to yell disrespectfully at us and threatened to kick us out.

Popular establishment, some celebrities like to have a nice time here. Billards and beers are a must.

Good for a drink and talk. Neat pool area. Ceiling is a little low for a 2 floor business but pricing and ambience was nice. Not too great for big groups. Overall good meeting spot.

Amazing mojitos. They use brown sugar in them, it will change your life. The coconut mojito is outstanding. The bartenders are nice to look at too.

Great little pub with fantastic drinks. Mojito is excellent, has a bit of a twist. I highly recommend a visit when youre in Old San Juan.

We popped in here for some relief from the usual hot days in San Juan. The mojitos are a work of art. Carlos the bartender is hilarious and we ended up staying for more than one drink because he was so great!

Just walking around downtown and we happened on Douglas’ Pub. It really made our night, we sat for a Mojito and started chatting to the gentleman next to us and what do you know, it was the Owner. We talked and drank for a couple hours or so and his hospitality was incredible. Will definitely be on our list every visit here on out!

Multi-storied building, love the little walkways upstairs. Grab a beer and shoot some pool.

We were sent to this family-owned corner pub by the owner of Punto de Vista, as we were waiting for a table there.Carlos was tending bar and made us a couple of their signature mojitos. He was great and so were the drinks!Be sure to stop in to say hi and enjoy the local flavor. Neighborhood pubs are our favorites!!

We had the best Mojito ever! We loved this bar. There was NBA on tv, maybe for the Americans, but who cares what’s on when you’re in such a cool old school bar. No frills.

Being that it was a short walk from my hotel, thought to give here a try. Was pleasantly surprised. The drinks while visually appealing lack in strength if you dont request it to be made a bit stronger. Other than that, this staff is very friendly and will make you feel welcomed. Highly recommended!!

Best mojito Ive ever had. Takes 7 or 8 mins to make with fresh ingredients. Very worth it. The bartender, Eduardo, shared his lunch with us. Poured a to-go beer for me. Nice guy, cool bar

Great place to play 8 Pool. The down side is that its a little expensive, but every place in old San Juan IS expensive.

My fiance and I randomly walked into this bar not expecting much but left extremely happy!! Oliver is the by far one of the best bartenders and makes one of the tastiest mojitos (and I dont even like mojitos)!!! Definitely worth stopping by, especially if Oliver is working the bar!!!

This place is awesome, went during a slow time but Fabian was awesome, took care of us with great drinks and great conversation! This is now going to be our go to spot in old San Juan

Great local sports bar with Tvs to see all the sports happenings. The pool table area is up some tight stairs and across a cat walk at an incline that one should use cation on if using. The staff worked hard to tend the bar, however, there was no upstairs service so refills required going back down. Pool tables are quarter tables, so if you want to play put your money on a table to call next.

On holiday and asked if I could watch the Everton game last week and the barman went straight to TV, found the game and said enjoy. Several customers wanted NFL on the TV and were told this English guy was here first you will have to watch on the other TV further down the Bar.Thanks guys and I hope I drank enough!
