Pizza and staff both great! We all had pizza absolutely lovely! One of our party was gluten free and they were very helpful the gluten free option was obviously labeled which was very reassuring. They were able to have pizza, beer and brownie (almost all puddings and all pizzas were available gluten freewould definitely recommend for anyone with allergies or not!

Really nice place, the staff are attentive and friendly. I had the gluten free garlic bread and pizetta from the lunch menu, both were great, havent had such nice gf garlic bread for years! The menu is mostly available in gf, vegan and/or dairy free which is great to see. Will definitely be going back!

Had a Feta Fetayer, a folded flat bread full of deliciousness and I cant stop thinking about it 🤣 came with tzatziki. Also an amazing triple choc brownie with ice cream.Pizza on next table looked amazing, super-thin. Will be back to sample.

This is my favourite pizza place in town. The base is slightly thicker and crispier than more traditional Italian style pizza but they always come with loads of toppings and the price is very cheap. Great options for vegetarian, vegan and gluten free if you need them too. Good mix of some more unusual toppings like the breakfast pizza as well as the more common selections.

Great for gluten-free eaters that miss pizza like I do. Reasonable price and a good menu. Ok service. Ordered the Feta Fetayer (pictured), which is usually folded but isnt in the gluten-free version.

The food was lovely... My only issue was we were a group of 8 and one of my friends food was missed off so we all got ours and he had to wait.. The drinks were slow and one of my friends had to go to the bar to remind them of the drinks.. Afew teething issues today.. We still left tip but felt we should have got a more for our service especially when you just paid £170 for a group order...when I asked for a discount becuase of the service one was not given.

Really enjoyed the food - I had the mushroom calzone with vegan cheese, delicious hearty flavours. The dough balls we had for starter could have done with more garlic for my personal taste but Ill know to ask for extra next time.Great service and the atmosphere was friendly and cosy, with just the right level of cool vibes.

An interesting selection of non standard pizzas, pasta and risotto. Well presented and quickly served. Excellent garlic breads. The food was good at an acceptable price. The portions were not huge which, so far as, I am concerned is a good point. I hate being over-faced. Personally I would have given the risotto another 5 minutes. The rice was a bit too al dente for my taste. Even though it was not crowded it was still noisy but that is the result of the absence of soft furnishings to absorb the noise.

Staff were brilliant and attentive. Wouldve got more starts but lunch time small pizza deal wasnt great value. Adding chicken (4 small chunksadded £2.50 - half the cost of the pizza itself. £6 for a bottled lager in Manc was prob about right. But still felt a bit heavy.Food tasted good though, great ambience and music and nice people.

The service was great, but that was it, food was poor quality and flavourless. We ordered garlic bread with cheese, a margarita and mushroom linguine. The cheese on the pizza and garlic bread was powdery and flavourless. Much like the linguine we struggled to eat more than a quarter of the food before leaving with a bill of £30.Would not recommend if you enjoy nice food.

Went here for the first time this evening for my wifes birthday. We were a party of 12, booked. From start to finish the experience was 1st class! Staff were attentive, polite, and generally on the ball. The food, we all ate pizza and the provided starters was excellent, really really good. Will be recommending.

July 2019Good pizza & generous serving size at reasonable price; excellent service staff.I came here on a day visit with a friend of mine who really likes the place, and I can see why she does. The range on the menu is very broad and most likely, regardless of dietary requirements or preferences, everyone will find a dish – they’ve got classic pizza choices as well as “specials”, and vegan cheese and gf bases are available as well.As I am allergic to both, gluten/wheat and dairy I was talking to the waiter about dietary requirements and he was very knowledgeable in that regard. I didn’t have to get much changed, I only requested to not use too much of the vegan cheese-alternative, as I am not a massive fan of it. As I anyway chose a pizza with plenty of other toppings it also wouldn’t be missed in regard of juiciness.I was pleasantly surprised when our dishes arrived, as I got a pizza-cutter along with the regular cutlery. I like those little extras as they take “having pizza” to a higher level. The pizza dough was nice and crisp on the outside, easy to cut, with the fork as well as pizza cutter yet in the middle it was quite soft. If one is a “pizza with hands” eater one might find it a bit difficult to handle. The portion was of a very generous size and the plate was almost too small (note: if you’re a light eater and you come on a weekday, get the lunch time offer: half pizza, half salad, it will definitely suffice!!).When I am eating out I try to opt for dishes I would not prepare myself so I had a jackfruit & apple slaw pizza (although in general I am not a fan of fruit/sweet topping on my pizza or main dish; except for when it is a topping to balance out some spicy or otherwise intense flavour). And, although I appreciate the generosity, the apple slaw was a too much. Also, the pizza-sauce was very sweet as well, almost like ketchup rather than a tomato passata, which I pointed out to the waiter as well. The sweetness of both accumulated and by the time I finished the pizza, it more felt like eating dessert than a main. The BBQ jackfruit seasoning was okey, to my taste it could’ve been spicier.Overall this dish makes an interesting alternative to classic pizza choices and if one likes to try “uncommon” choices I’d warmly recommend it!The side salad (fennel & cucumberwas spot on: perfect seasoning, fresh ingredients and, again, a sufficient portion size to share. Some remarks besides the food: the dining room is spacious and sun lit, plenty of seating is available (ideal when you’re in a group or eating out with family), choice & volume of music allow to have conversations and it’s a very welcoming atmosphere as waiters are friendly and attentive and one is not rushed to finish the meal. The restrooms are clean, however would need some maintenance as the blow driers did not work properly. Also, when we got the bill, the side salad was not correctly charged which the waiter took care of after pointing it out. Finally, I’d like to make a special remark to the waiter of that day. When it comes to food I can be very finicky and the waiter handled all my feedback really professionally, as he took it seriously but with humour. To sum it up: range of choices is very good (accommodating all kinds of preferences/dietary requirements), portion size is very generous, quality of pizza and toppings is good-okey and it is definitely reasonably priced. Great place to come in small or bigger groups and have a relaxed lunch or dinner.

We trialled dough for the first time with my coeliac husband due to its extensive gluten free menu. We were not disappointed. The pizza crust was springy and crispy just as you would expect, the topping choices were generous and varied to please different tastes. The service was good albeit a bit on the slow side. The restaurant was quiet so we were perhaps expecting to receive our dishes a bit sooner. All in all still a good experience.

Cheers to Dough Pizza Kitchen for offering vegan & gluten-free options • my experience here wasnt awesome, though, unfortunately. My visit was on a fairly busy Sunday afternoon, but it didnt seem so crazy that it should have taken 3 attempts to get my simple order right, which meant that everyone else at my table had already moved on to dessert • we were offered free drinks while we waited, but nothing more. The jackfruit pizza wasnt terribly impressive, and the salad tasted only of lettuce. In the end, we couldnt even get our bill & ended up having to wait around by the front counter for quite a while.Again, unfortunate. Hopefully this was a one-off!

I really liked this place. The pizzas have a crispy crust and a good amount of toppings. If you are after a traditional Neapolitan pizza then this place is possibly not for you...but personally I like to try different types of pizza. The service was very fast and the restaurant had a nice atmosphere. Great veggie options too.

Gluten free and vegan options at no extra cost, you say? Yes please! The pizzas are fully loaded and embrace some weird and wonderful toppings. The roots and beets had a ton of Sunday roast-type veg on top and was amazing if a little bizarre, but sadly the pulled jackfruit and apple pizza was a step too far. This is not one for pizza purists but if you want a pizza thats going to fill you up and show you a good time, this is your pizza.

Went there today. Asked if we have any allergies. Food and service is first class, if you get Jack as your server, you are well-taken care of, nothing too much trouble and the quality far exceeds Pizza Hut, even though the prices are similar. The atmosphere is very friendly and every one on the other tables were having a great time also. It is a very nice place to eat and when in Manchester we make a bee line to Dough. It used to be Turtle Bay, but the menu never changes and if I wanted to eat off a roof slate, I would become a pigeon!

There is a large choice of pizza (and other itemsavailable, some were completely new to me. The restaurant was large but cosy - perfect for a date, meal out with friends, or large (ishparty. Would 10/10 recommend!

We wanted a burger at Bluu but for whatever reason the kitchen was closed. Went to this restaurant instead with zero expectations but it was actually quite surprising. The bruschetta was a bit too "British" with tons of garlic, but the red pepper linguine were really good, as well as the Calzone. Cheap bites, okay-ish wine. No fine dining experience but solid food.

My girlfriend and I had lunch here, she’s coeliac so it was great to see the number of gluten free options available! The staff were knowledgeable and engaging, we had a vegetarian meze platter as a starter and then a pizza each. All the food was great and it’s safe to say we were full by the end of our visit!

The place is really cosy and atmospheric, the modern pizza options are really interesting, I had the pastrami and mustard and it tasted really good! Also tried the jerk chicken which wasnt quite as good but still a decent pizza. The starters were ok.

Went with a party of 10, there was a delay on food, but complimentery beers were provided (And not even the cheapest ones on the menu. Awesome!).I ordered a gluten free pizza (due to a slight insensitivity, nothing major), and a couple of the toppings that I didnt know contained gluten, were replaced with extras of other toppings - which is great that the staff are taking dietary restrictions seriously, but being advised that there wouldnt be gluten free variants of the same food wouldve been a bit better.Other than that, the food was great quality, and service was fantastic. (Please, for the love of God, stop playing "Play That Funky Music")

This place is always great. Always friendly staff, great choice of pizzas and fantastic drinks options - 7 deadly gins are well worth a go. Good place for a date too. A special mention for the way that this venue goes out of its way to accommodate different dietary requirements. Gluten free, veggie, dairy free and vegan options are many and varied. A rare find indeed and a great place to take a party of people with varying dietary needs.

The staff were great and the ambiance is relaxed. Unfortunately the pizza was just okay. It’s made in a conventional oven as opposed to a brick or stone oven. The base was very thin and crumbly on the edge which is not to my liking but may be what other people crave. There are better pizza joints in Manchester.

Were a horrid family to cater for. All veggies, my wife is gluten free, her sister gluten and dairy free, and a dairy free 4 year old, I feel sorry for the restaurants. This was easily the best meal out weve had, their selection of dishes for people with requirements was the best Ive seen outside a dedicated place, deserts especially. Thoroughly enjoyed everything from service to atmosphere and food. Would highly recommend.

I love Dough. Always get great service, friendly staff. They do gluten free, dairy free, vegan a mix of the above - And we have never had "adverse effects" from the food, unlike other establishments, and that is very important. They serve cocktails from Apotheca next door. Wonderful place, highly recommended.

Nice space, newly renovated, lots of natural light pours in through big windows that let you see into the top end of the NQ. Prices are reasonable even for the area. Gluten free heaven but not only. Generally good Italian inspired food and friendly service. And... the gluten free pizzas are the same size as the regular ones... Dough is a lovely independent pizza place situated in the heart of the northern quarter. The staff were very accommodating and managed to fit us in without a booking. The wealth of gluten-free options on the menu is absolutely fantastic and the menu is well documented to show the dietary information for each item. I opted for the wild mushroom pizza with a gluten-free base which was simply delicious and combined with a lovely bottle of wine the whole experience was a real treat.

Came here twice in a week because we were so impressed with the food. I was impressed at the value. Drinks a starter platter two pizzas & a Greek salad came to like £30. Definitely recommended this place. Best for friends and family though. It probably has a different atmosphere at night though.
