Laid-back Tex-Mex spot offering hearty breakfast burritos, omelettes, burgers & sandwiches.
I hadnt been to a Dougs since they moved the one in Boulder off of Arapahoe. I was very glad to find one near my new place and the food and service were quite good.
Today was my first time there. It DEFINITELY wont be my last. Everything was AWESOME. My suggestion is to go HUNGRY. The servings are enough for two. We could not have been happier.
Food came out great and FAST, which was shocking because the place was packed. We got a seat right away at the bar.Our server, Renee J, was very friendly and attentive.
Huge portions with reasonable prices. Food is tasty, service was very good. Well be back!
We go here often and its always great service even when they are slammed. Food is awesome and always fresh. Prices are super fair and food comes out right and we quick.
Husband and I walked in , werent even acknowledged for a good 5- 10 minutes , 4 employees standing around the register talking and laughing. Bacon was very undercooked, my eggs were not how I ordered them and maple syrup was spilled on my eggs.My husbands dish had everything all under the gravy!!!! Never ever going back!!!!!!!
The prices here are ridiculously good! A huge meal for under $15? Crazy! The carne asada papas were great with the green chili!
House made preserves and griddle biscuits with coffee are on my bill each visit. The portions are large, though sometimes the hashbrowns arent all the way cooked.Pad your schedule on the weekends, plan for at least an extra 30 min after 8/830am. They will take your number and text you when the table is ready.
Overall a great experience. The place was bustling but we were seated quickly and with no fuss (party of 5). Our server was friendly, got our orders right, and split the ticket as requested - also with no fuss. She kept our drinks full. The food was good, hot, and plentiful. Environment was clean, open and bright, but with all the people, just a bit loud.
We stopped here for brunch after a long day travelling. The food was delicious, and service was friendly and quick. The restaurant is quite crowded with tables inside. I am a wheelchair user, and had to ask a few people to pull their chairs in to get to the bathrooms. The bathrooms themselves were fully accessible/ADA compliant which is always a gamble when going to an unknown eatery.
Perfect little diner. Good food, Great atmosphere. None of the over priced Brunch culture here.
Both food and service are exemplary! Plenty of great breakfast choices and service unlike most seen these days. ***** Five stars
Doug’s is absolutely phenomenal! Moving to the area from downtown, we really missed having some great breakfast spots, until we found Doug’s! It’s always such a treat to come here, the food is great, the portions are HUGE and the service is always top notch!
Absolutely delicious food for surprisingly cheap! You get large portions for around $10 or less, its insane. Diverse menu, high quality ingredients, friendly staff, and a welcoming interior make this an easy recommendation for anyone looking for one of the best breakfast spots in Aurora. Perhaps better than French Press
Great food, incredibly friendly server. We had a brief wait on a busy Saturday morning, but were seated in less time than they said it would be. The food was reasonably priced, and outstanding.
Great little brunch spot with some classic dishes like biscuits and gravy and some Mexican themed as well like huevos rancheros and carne asada. They had a few tables outside that were shady and you could bring your dog.
Cute diner with great breakfast options. We didnt love the sausage patty but the biscuit and gravy was yummy as was the omelets. Homemade biscuits and homemade jam are delicious!
Oh my goodness! If you are from the south, go here for some great food similar to the south! Griddle buscuits to die for! Never had a complaint! Staff is great and super personable and helpful!
This is our second time coming here; the first time was okay but this mornings breakfast was boring. The green chile had no pop, the hashbrowns were boring, the egg was flat in both consistency and flavor, and I felt like the carne asada was out of a can. My wife got an omelette that was equally mediocre. The staff were nice but thats really the only benefit of coming here. Eat breakfast at home, and come here for coffee at the bar and conversation.
Came here today for breakfast, it was not crowded yet...the food was delicious. I had the eggs Benedict with ham. Service was great. Definitely going back.
My perfect rating is attributed to Meagan and her second mile service. The food is always good at Dougs, but Megans service is what makes it special. Megan is always attentive, efficient, and overall splendid. My wife says if youre ever mean to Megan you deserve to get beat up because shes that sweet and would never deserve that type of treatment ( btw my wife hates violence and doesnt condone it, just an fyi).Today we were welcomed with Megans warm and welcoming smile and spirit as she held the door open for us to enter to enjoy good food and great service, which we did! The Huevos Socorro are always saucy goodness with tender carne asada. In the mood for a burger, they have you covered. Try the Black Betty, a sweet and savory spot hitter! And if you have enough room, get a Grandma Hotcake! Overall, a great brunch choice! Thank you Megan!
Been here a few times, food is okay but service has always been extremely subpar, so definitely not coming back.Being rushed to pay and leave while we havent even finished receiving all of our food was pretty ridiculous. Having an avocado skin thrown into our food (photo belowwas pretty wack.Save your money and go to Le Peep across the street. This place probably needs to go, someone else can do better.
Delicious food, reasonable service despite staying pretty busy! Lots of menu options. Our favorite local breakfast place. They’ve now upgraded their system to where you can pay from your phone once you get your receipt! Would highly recommend!
Really good food, tasty and good servings. Service was great too! Over all a great breakfast place. Would defenetly be back when in the area.
This is our new favorite breakfast restaurant! The food is always delicious and gives you the very homey feel - we’ve tried several different items on the menu from breakfast quesadillas to sweet cakes to omelettes. Prices are very reasonable and the portions are big! We typically can get a table without a wait if you go a little earlier which is also great!!
This is my favorite breakfast spot! Their Eggs Benedict has so much flavor and portions are great! Let’s say there’s a reason why they have mutiple location their food and service is unbeatable!
This is my favorite breakfast place and location because of these reasons: the restaurant is comfortable, clean, and kept up; the customer service is great! It’s just who they are and they are a working example of team and customer service, you will experience their positive energy; and, I love their hot cakes and fresh eggs, among many other things on the menu.Thank y’all!!!
Inside is relatively small but thats to be expected from a strip mall type location. Servers were friendly but not all conversations were appropriate and personal space was nonexistent with some. Food is decent but not worth a second visit.
Amazing brunch spot! The staff was so friendly and accommodating. Even though it was busy they were still attentive, friendly and effective. Shout-out to our server Megan she was a great server in every sense. As for the food! I had the eggs Benedict and I can say that I have not had a better hollandaise sauce. So good. My party got the hot cakes and a waffle and both commented that while it was big in size it was fluff and light to eat. They both finished their plates. We cannot wait to go back. Good coffee too
Weve been living here for 6 years and were just finding out about this place in 2022. I love breakfast food! I forgot to take pictures of our meal but heres the picture of their cinnamon roll!
Dougs is absolutely fantastic. Eggs cooked perfectly. French toast: slaps. Bacon: slaps. Sausage, potatoes, gravy: slap. GRIDDLE BISCUIT: SLAAAAAAAPS. Seriously get a griddle biscuit. They have fresh homemade jams, very sweet but good on the buttery griddle biscuit. Hillbilly was enough food for 2 people and was entirely excellent as well. Fantastic service, fantastic food, fantastic restaurant, why are you not here yet?
This is the 3rd location I have visited and I have to say that the quality and recipes follow from location to location. Went with some co-workers who eat Halal, and was surprised by the options available. We got 2 Sharons (veggie omeletteand they were amazing. I also decided to try the masala chai that Id on the menu, it was a great blend of sweet and spicy. If your looking for a good diner, go to a Dougs. Youll never be disappointed!
The waitress started and ended the meal terribly. My friend and I sit down and are greeted by a waitress. He asks "are you Pepsi or Coke?" She reponds Pepsi. He orders a Dr. Pepper and I ask for a root beer. "we dont have root beer. We have Pepsi, diet Pepsi, Sierra Mist". I ask "Do you have orange soda?" Her retort, "No. We are not 7/11". I can clearly see you are not 7/11 but your menu doesnt state anywhere what soda products you carry and by the way she sounded, she was annoyed to even have to list off the soda they offer. Meal comes and its fine. My friend enjoyed his meal more than mine because of the bitter taste left in my mouth. We pay and are sitting there just chatting and the waitress asked me "would you like a to-go cup?" I responded "No thank you" and then she proceeds to just take our cups while we are sitting there talking and toss them. At no point did she ask if I was done with my drink. Not a great experience. Maybe Ill go back one day but will not sit in her section again.
This is home to the best pancakes I’ve ever eaten! Every item we’ve tried is delicious and fresh! Try the pesto tomatoes (is this pesto homemade!?), the griddled biscuit with any of their house jams, and DO NOT SKIP the pancakes! Great service and amazing food! Our favorite place for breakfast!!!
Solid place to get breakfast/lunch food. The ham on the eggs Benedict wasn’t my favorite and the chai was a little bland but otherwise everything was great! Good prices.
Went with my family after my sons swim meet. Service was great! Let me start with that. Very sweet and attentive. My family went with sweet for breakfast getting French Toast, pancakes and Waffles. Those were all really good as I tried a bite of each. Clearly if you go you need to get one of those items. They have an entire section dedicated to Papas(potatoesso I got the one with bacon, sausage and ham. Smothered in green and red chili and two eggs on top. The hashbrowns were INEDIBLE! Absolutely no color or seasoning on them. The red chili was very thick and took over the dish and the meat was cut so small I could barely find it. I ate a few bites and left the rest. Couldnt eat 80%of it. Go for the sweet breakfast though!
Went on a Sunday around 9:15, was told there would be about a 25 minute wait. They txtd us after about 15 minutes and we had a delicious breakfast. Portions were large, ever item was delicious, and the waitstaff was efficient and friendly. If we lived in the area, we would be regulars.
Tried this place for the first time, I wanted some place new to grab breakfast. I have since been back 3 times in the last 10 days. The eggs Benedict is amazing. I would highly recommend this to anyone. You will not regret it.
The restaurants really cute and I absolutely enjoy that they make their homemade jams from scratch. The food was delicious, Full of flavor that is one thing I was genuinely surprised about is that it had flavor! you got a large portion, the price was excellent. The staff was friendly and the bathrooms were well-kept.
This diner is the real deal! 💯💯💯Stellar home-made, generous portions at bargain prices, therefore, quite popular. Unlike many restaurants these days, Dougs has barely raised prices to survive supply chain/ inflation cost increases; so your dollar buys more here! Most entrees are still around $10.Wonderfully cheerful staff are always accomodating with every visit. Platters overflow with the huge entrees, like smothered burritos, (with their signature red or green salsa). The griddle biscuits are as large as their house-made cinnamon rolls. Those HUGE, daily scratch-made buttermilk biscuits come hot, butter glazed by the griddle with two freshly made house jams.* Their biscuits & thick sausage gravy achieves my highest marks, ranking #1 in my decades of experience. Portions again, are so large, half of it gets boxed for home. Like many of the menu items, it can also be ordered at half size. 🙂Dougs is franchised, but every one Ive visited is dedicated to the delivering the best service and authentic food.
Went here after looking up Breakfast on Google Maps. I was visiting Colorado and needed somewhere close by. The hostess was extremely helpful and even gave us a coffee/tea while we waited after request. It was very busy so I appreciated the attention to service. When we were sat, we got the omelette and it was delicious. The home fries are amazing. This is a great spot to visit.
Even though it was jam packed, they did their best to get everyone seated in a timely manner. Every worker was really kind and on top of everything. I really enjoyed being there. Their food was really good, and the chai I had was PERFECT!!
The Eggs Benedict was great. We sat down right away on a weekend around 12, which was nice. Very homey feel.
1st time going to doug’s. Their was no wait and we got sat quickly. I got the basic breakfast with crepes. Crepes were good and had enough filling. Latte was good as well. Food overall was average to good. Customer service was average to good as well. The prices seemed high to me compared to other breakfast places. Overall I would go back and eat here again. So I recommend this location if you are in the area.
Looking for a place with unique menu items and a neighborhood feel when in Centennial, CO? Dougs Day Diner is where you should go! Papas, Breakfast Burritos, Sweet Stuff and much more are available to start your day off right. The staff was friendly, provided great recommendations, and served the quality food quickly. Next time we are back in CO, well be visiting one of their seven locations.
We came to Dougs after a bad experience at village inn earlier. They were swamped when we got here, but they put us on the wait list and sent a text when they were ready. The staff was super friendly and our food was amazing!!! Out of the 3 of us, were all so full we didnt finish breakfast! We will definitely be back!!!! (:
Let me start by saying this used to be my favorite breakfast spot. Im sad to say that the food and service have gone to the gutter since the pandemic. The last time i came the food was terrible, but i figured it was an off day so i did not think much of it. Today we went back and once again the eggs benny were terrible. The eggs were overcooked, the English muffin was not toasted and the hollandaise was broken. My server dropped off my food and did not come back for 15 minutes. I did not have time to wait for another meal to be made, which could have been avoided if my server checked in with me. Im just so disappointed. If you want a great eggs benny, check out Delectable Egg or Three Griddles. To the owners, bring back your old cooks or retrain your new ones! Teach your servers the "2 minutes or 2 bite check-in". Sadly, i will not be back.
Great way to start your day! Heres their delicious breakfast burrito & massive cinnamon roll (for appetizer, side, and dessert... or entree -- not judging!😋
Dougs is one of our top ten places. Super friendly staff, awesome food. We meant to take pictures before digging in, but... That didnt happen. Still, go try it!
First visit and it will not be the last! Red chilli has a great smoky flavor, and the green a nice peppery back end. Nothing was hot at all. Great quality food and portions. The griddle cakes are great with the fresh jams.
