So amazing viewpoint on the top hill under the village Pinhão . So incredible views . I enjoyed wild views
MoreGreat view. Tough way, but amazing views!
Amazing landscape of the Doura valley
This is a nice spot for a view. There is some parking so dont mind about that.
Beautiful landscape view
Beautiful views of the valley and river tua.Worth a visit if you are in the area and have the time. The drive up is beautiful too.
MoreAmazing views of of Douro River.
Hard to get there. Worth it of you can do it. Road gets very steep and twisty.
Fantastic view
We went to the Douro valley on a wine tasting tour, it was great.
One of the most scenic viewpoints in the area. Go with a small car, unless you have a superb sense of gabarites.
MoreGreat viewpoint overlooking the Doruo River.
Liked the viewpoint.. easy to find and to reach! View: amazing! Love the douro valley tooooo much.. free of charge :)
MoreSimply the best view in the Douro. The last 1 km up the cobble road was a driving adventure - narrow and 20-30 % grade. The paved road was easier to come down.
MoreThe best view of river Douro
Great experience!
It was a lovely day , and we could watch this amazing sunset at the end. Perfect and peaceful time to enjoy with someone special.
MoreBeautiful view but under construction at the moment, difficult to take pictures.
Its definitely worth the climb. Breathtaking view of the Douro and beyond.
Worth to drive to the top for this view
Awesome place for admiring the Douro Valley. The access is a bit rough sincw the streets are very narrow. The easiest way to reach is by car or motorbike, bike (not sure if the public transportation is very handy, but you should check if interested).
MoreA great spot for a Sunset!
Nice, perfect view! The roads its a bit tricky. Dont go through the vineyard as one of Google Maps suggestions.
MoreAmazing region of Portugal, especially if you like to drive on twisty roads. Be sure to go around for amazing views like this one!
MoreTotally worth the trip to see that view
Magnificent view from the valley, if you have an accommodation nearby a must visit place. You can go up with a car but the parking places are limited and the streets are super narrow. On the way down stop at the local butcher in the small village of Pinhao for some meat delicacies.
MoreBeautiful spot to see Douro river and its valey. The river cruise can be seen from here.
MoreVery nice views of the Douro. A bit hard to find the way there through quite narrow roads.
MoreAmazing views, great spot to picnic or to take a walk around the top
Amazing view over the Douro river near Pinhão!
Good viewpoint in Douro valley - the river bends around the point. Great panaromanic views.
MoreGreat view. We were there around 4 pm local time ( Novemberand the river was half lit and half in shadows. Offers a panoramic view of the valley and river course. There are multiple entries for the last 400 Mt which are quite narrow hence choose the wider one if you are driving up here
MoreBeautiful view of sunset
Nice view on the river Douro. We were here in the morning (around 9:30and there came a van with local pastelaria goods so we bought some traditional cakes for a good price :Avoid going down to Pinhao by the shortest way through the village, is pretty steep and narrow and if two cars meet, can be a little bit challenge..
MoreThe final meters before arriving at the viewpoint can be a little nerve-wracking but the views are really worth it.With panoramic view of the Douro River and vineyards you wont regret the drive.
MoreFantastic view but not really worth the narrow drive.
The road to the double viewpoint was a single lane. It was a nightmare having to dodge cars getting to and from the view point. Viewpoint is breath taking. I even swore.
MoreBeautiful panoramic view over the Douro river and its vineyards. Beware, its a bit of a tight squeeze driving up the last 100 metres and you may need to wait your turn to drive up. Also, at the final turned Google Maps may lead you to a dead end. Just back out and take the next left which is the correct place to turn.
MoreYou can walk up here from Pinhao within an hour, and can do a roundtrip with two different paths. 7am was a lovely time to do it, with no direct sunlight for the whole time even in the peak of summer. If you go up the paved western path, you will be rewarded by a lovely view, and then youll be able to walk down the beautiful dirt roads on the eastern path through Quinta do Bomfims vineyards which give even more stunning views for the whole journey down. Its worth it and I think this is the perfect way to do the roundtrip.
MoreWorth the long climb up! In your car of course. Amazing views of this incredible region.
MoreIMPORTANT! there are 2 different roads, the one that the GPS will tell you is VERY dangerous!! Ask a local for the easier safer road! :-)
MoreGreat viewpoint you can see Pinhão and Douro river. I walked up here starting from Pinhão. It took 1 hour from near Quinta do Bomfim.
MoreAn amazing site seeing place! One can see the Douro river curves and Pinhão vilage at the bottom of a breathtaking hill. 100% recomend!
MoreBeautiful view to Douro! Hard access but worth it!
In the heart of the Douro Valley you will find this perfect spot to see the river and the Hills. In respect to orthers religion I would say to not to go in November 1st, for its a national holiday in Portugal and this place is right in front of the cemetery, so when we went there, there was this religious ceremony where they were praying for their deads.
MoreBeautiful view point, but not much different from views all around. Think twice before coming especially for this via narrow mounty roads
MoreAmazing view! Route to the top along the wineyards without clear signs. High temperature, so takie with you a lot of water (I was there in September).
MoreBeautiful double viewpoint. There are 2 "balconies" a few meters apart, the bottom one has trees so its more shaded, both have an amazing view of the area. The climb here through the hiking trail from Quinta do Bonfim is difficult and will probably take more than the 50 minutes suggested by google, and shouldnt be done in the midst of summer when its too hot.
MoreGreat viewpoint of the Douro Vally. The trip is neither very hard nor easy by car - narrow steep roads that take you to the top, but the view is magnificent. To make the trip worth it - visit the museum of olive oil. It is about 500m before the viewpoint. Also if you are perfectionist of photography and do not want to edit wires on the scenic photo - then you must visit the viewpoint. Also you will need fill flash for portraits on the background of Douro Valley:).
MoreBreathtaking view! Absolutely worth the drive from Porto just to experience this!
