Bext Mexican restaurant in the Holts Summit/Jefferson City area. Fernando does a great job managing the place and almost always is the first to greet and welcome you. Always great food.

Five stars is not enough. My husband and I doordashed supper and it arrived super fast, warm, and ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. I have never had such a flavorful Mexican dish (I eat very basic food). Will definitely be dining in next time and bringing friends. Absolute gold mine in Holts Summit

Had the #15 dinner combo, a Margarita, and fried ice cream for dessert. Both the enchilada and the chalupa were with ground beef; terrible and tasteless beef. The Taco was open-faced and bland. Even the Margarita had so little alcohol that all you could taste was everything but alcohol. The fried ice cream was a 5 out of 10. The service was very good and I tipped the server accordingly--after all, it wasnt his fault that the food was sub standard.

I had the chicken chimichanga and my mom enjoyed the chicken taco salad. Good food, generous portions, and reasonable prices.

The food is great. Unfortunately it’s never hot. We usually get carry out and have to heat it up even though we leave close by. I decided to dine in and had the same issue. No one is overly friendly or welcoming either, so we just go elsewhere now.

I would give this place a zero if I could. The food was cool. I found hair in my food. They charge more then what you get. It make you sick to the stomach.

The food is absolutely AMAZING, some of the best Mexican food Ive come across since moving to Missouri.However, the staff...less so. They are very rude, very slow, my wife who speaks fluent Spanish has caught them several times talking badly about customers in Spanish.We thought it was only a fluke the first time but sadly, we live just down the road and have been in multiple occasions and its same experience each time...The food is the only thing keeping me from only giving a 1 star rating.

One of the better Mexican restaurants Ive been to in Mid Missouri. It has a typical menu that most others do, just tastes a little fresher. Will definitely become one of my favs.

Food was excellent they went out of their way to serve me even though it was a couple minutes past closing time. Only reason I didnt give five stars was because their servers are most generally very rude. They do their job exceptionally good but they just treat you as if you are beneath them. But again they do their job exceptionally good all the time so I really cant complain and will keep coming back because the food and the atmosphere is amazing

The food and service is awesome. The prices are great and get a nice serving that is very filling. We have one Mexican Restaurant in our tiny town of Holts Summit. If you are traveling through going to the Lake of the Ozarks in the summer months or to a other Destination. Stop by and enjoy some very very good and authentic Mexican food.

Eat here all the time. Always loved it. Last two times I placed to go orders I was told 10 minutes. I usually give them 20 just in case. I show up, food isn’t ready. Why tell me 10 minutes if that’s not the case. And wasn’t the case after I purposely waited 20 minutes. Last time the order was cheese dip & sopapilla. They said 10 minutes. I show up after 25 minutes. Not ready. I decide to just leave after three customers paid their bills as I continued to wait. That’s ridiculous. I will go to JC or Fulton after this happened the last two times

Fajitas for 2 is a winner. Make sure you ask for extra tortillas youre going home with leftovers. Staff is always prompt and polite and the food is always fresh, hot, and cooked to perfection. Thats no better place for authentic mexican fare. Youre going to love it!

The workers were super nice and courteous. They even helped me say the names of the food correctly. Always have a blast when I go there.

This place was sooooo good considering holts summit doesnt have very good food. It comes out quick and hot. Full of flavor. No big pieces. Everythings mixed perfectly in every bite. Very good mexican restaurant

This is usually my favorite Mexican restaurant to go to but the last time I ate there, they must have been short staffed, because service took awhile to get us started for the night. Once things kind of slowed down, we were checked on much more often. The food though was not the best Ive had there. Wifes food came out cold and usually the plates are very hot when they serve you, as mine was when I got my plate. Ordered one of the burritos and the flavor was just not there and they typically come covered in the sauces but there was barely any there. Hopefully next time itll be back too the way I know this place can be.

I live in the city but still come here. Food is fantastic and cant be beat. I used to think El Jimadors was the best Mexican Id ever had. Maybe it was, but it will stay in the past. Dos Primos is by far the best Mexican food in the area and I highly recommend giving it a shot.

Our favorite Mexican joint in central Missouri. The chips and salsa are delicious and so is everything else on the menu. This place gets busy on weekend nights so come early or be prepared to wait.

Solid genuine Mexican food. They even have extra hot salsa by request.

My chicken tamale and chicken quesadilla, along with the beef enchilada were delicious and my wife really enjoyed her food as well. Minus 1 star because my wife didnt like her margarita, although I thought it tasted fine

We went on a Monday evening. There was no wait for being seated. Our order was taken within 5 minutes of being seated. Our food was delivered quickly and hot (temperature). We will go back.

Best Mexican food in the area. I drive from JC around once a week to eat here. Every time I come, the chips, tortillas, and beans taste a little different, but always amazing. The differences tell me one thing. Homemade! Like some reviews say, the service is a little shotty, but thats to be expected from a family run operation. As someone from a place with overall better food quality, the quality is worth the customer service sacrifice.

For Midwestern Mexican, this is about as good as we have found since moving here. The salsa actually has some flavor and doesnt taste like a tin can like most places around here. the chips were actually pretty good , even by southwestern standards. The refried beans tasted like they were actually made there instead of out of the can . The rice is rather flavorless, but I can live with that. I was warned before I went that the service is not the greatest . Heres what I will say about the service. if you are expecting to be treated like they care that youre there, you will be disappointed. if all you care about is getting your food fast, then this place is very quick. We went during lunch hour and we got our food in less than 10 minutes . Id rather have good food and good company from a restaurant . Its nice to be treated like friends, but its not necessary for me. I say if you have the time to check them out, I would do so.

I had to walk across the street and the manager gave me a ride back to my truck. In a ice storm. Food was excellent, I ordered the fajita mix for one and they prepared shrimp with it. I loved it. Right off hwy 54.

Very prompt service on our last visit. We ordered within 5 minutes, and not even 10 minutes later had our food. Plus the fresh chips and salsa are always good, and plenty if it. They run daily specials on food and drinks, so its nice to try different things. Our favorite are the fajitas, always fresh and insanely flavorful.
