Overlooking Shepherds Bush Common, this upscale, modern hotel in a former 1920s movie theatre is 3 minutes' walk from Shepherd's Bush Market tube station and 2 miles from Kensington Palace. The refined, subtly Asian-inspired rooms and suites feature flat-screen TVs, tea and coffeemaking facilities, iPod docks and minibars. Wi-Fi is free. Executive rooms and suites add access to a lounge, which provides continental breakfast and evening drinks. Suites also feature separate living rooms.Dining options include an upscale Chinese restaurant, a brasserie and a lobby bar with afternoon tea. There's also a spa and a 24-hour gym.
Room was great. An upgrade to suite. We also got late checkout. Can’t fault room and slept really well. Breakfast was absolute shambles, however. They managed to muck up our orders on both mornings. Lots of other having customers having issues as well. None of the staff really had a clue what to do. Systems definitely need reviewing. I would stay again but just wouldn’t t have breakfast here.
Very comfortable beds and pillows, and one of the few hotels that still offers complimentary toiletries in the rooms, along with water and a mini fridge. Ideally located close to underground stations, a shopping mall, and various restaurants. No restaurant but they do offer a great breakfast, and have a new fantastic bar which offers the best selection of tequila, mezcal, and any cocktail you like. By far, my favourite value-for-money hotel in London.
Rooms were clean and comfortable. Public transport outside the front door and shops close by. Staff were friendly. Hot breakfast was unfortunately always served cold and waiter delivered several plates of breakfast to our table in error. breakfast staff meetings regarding setup was creating congestion for guests to get their breakfast.
Had a very pleasant stay in Dorsett Shepherds Bush. The rooms are very plain but get all the essentials right with comfortable beds and very clean furnishings. There was large window space in my room which gave an airy, open vibe to the room. The staff is excellent- very polite and courteous. The location is good with a lot of shops and restaurants nearby. An Underground station and the Westfield Mall are pretty close as well.P.S. Loved the free candy they put out in the lobby!
Stayed here for one night to attend a works event nearby. Cant really fault the place, room was large and comfortable. The hotel itself was smart with friendly staff, and the location was spot on with a tube station just around the corner. My room was in the 1st floor looking out on the busy main road, I thought it would be noisy but the sound proofing was pretty decent and muffled most of the road sounds.Breakfast was excellent as well, highly recommended!
This was absolutely thee worst hotel experience I have ever had in my life. I was I could give them negative stars.I was booked to stay in there new apartments that they have and the hotel alerted me that I had to leave my room and check into an older room on the older side. Once I checked out of the updated room for the older one i left a jacket in the updated one, I called the desk everyday to ask them to retrieve my jacket and they never even got back to me to let me know whether or not they found it. They continuously gave me the run around. There was no remorse or apologies for any of the inconvenience. Then we left for Paris in the middle of our trip and once we came back room service came to clean up and left our room door open and we were gone for 2 days for Paris and saw this upon our return to London. Lastly upon checkout right when our taxi arrived for the airport the manager let us know that our card which we used to pay several days prior had declined but we showed the charge on our American Express app and after 45 minutes of back and forth the manager said that they saw the charge and it was a mistake on their behalf. We missed our taxi to the airport and ultimately missed our flight and had to get rebooked on another one. For all of these inconveniences the hotel never apologized or even offered to pay for the new taxi. They also claim to have never found my jacket. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THAT ANYONE STAY HERE! I enjoyed my time in London but I regret choosing this hotel. The staff is rude and not accommodating at all. The manager did not care for any of our concerns.Avoid this hotel at all cost!!
Rooms were nice with great amenities. However check-in was not a great experience, I had to argue about the rate that Id booked directly on their website. My friends used the same rate and arrived after me and were also given a hard time. So if you dont care how much you are paying (you have money to burnthen its a great place to stay. Otherwise the IBIS at Earls Court is a much nicer experience and has its own car park.
Great location for our stay in London. Very comfortable rooms, with accessible transport options by bus, underground with lots of options for food nearby too. Also within walking distance to the huge Westfield shopping mall. Staff were extremely courteous and very helpful. Highly recommended!
Great place when visiting London. We stayed 4-5 days. Lovely staff and quiet atmosphere all around.Just make sure to close the blinds if you happens to have a room where builders working on building outside the room.I’d except to see USB ports along with old fashion wall plug sockets. This might be a very useful upgrade for you.Even though we had our booked room upgrade to executive room, I still found a blond hair on the bed. Perhaps from a cleaner or a manager.Overall I’d rate the executive room 7/10.I’d stay again as this is lot better compared to a lot of others.
Hotel is OK, but rooms are tiny and the air con doesnt work properly so the rooms are too hot (even after an engineer came to "fix it"and there are no external windows that you can open either. The desks are glass toped so your mouse wont work and not big enough to fit a laptop on properly - if youre wanting to get work done, this isnt the hotel for you! In room amenities are pretty poor, I expect better than a sachet of instant coffee in a 4* hotel. A single coffee machine to serve over 400 guests at breakfast is a joke - I dont expect to wait in a line for over 15 minutes just to get a coffee!!!!
Hotel location is convenient. Room sports a fridge, an old school TV, tea platter. The bathroom is clean and the showering system good. Bedding was nice.My only downward is the temperature in the room, AC is simply not working and some genius painted in black some metallic structure where the windows are. Oh and no windows can be opened
Most of the staff was very nice, but the hotel was poorly run and some of the front desk workers and manages were unbelievably rude to me and my family. When we arrived at the hotel after over 12 hours of traveling and being awake for almost 24 hours, my family of 4 found out we only had one room. This is because they thought my brother and my dad were one person since they had the same name. They owned up to their mistake and we weren’t upset. They told us the second room would be ready in a few minutes and they would get us a second room on the same floor (floor 2once it was cleaned. When we asked if it would really only take a few minutes they went “no, not really. Go get breakfast and it should be all fixed by then.” After breakfast we found out the cleaning staff had not started yet and suddenly they were telling us check in wasn’t for another couple hours. We tried walking around the city and coming back but we were exhausted by this point and just wanted to rest. When we came back they said it still wasn’t ready. For hours they told us it would just be a few more minutes and every staff member told us something different as if they were lying or not communicating with one another at all. At this time we had all been awake for over 24 hours and my mom warned the staff she was starting to lose her patience because she was so sleep deprived. As we sat on the lobby we watched a mother and daughter walk in from our same tour group and they automatically gave them a room on floor 2. The room we had been waiting hours for. At this point my mom finally lost her patience and asked what was going on. She got nothing but conflicting statements and very condescending, rude remarks so she got very understandably upset. When a manager finally showed up he claimed his staff did nothing wrong and running a hotel is just hard. No one ever apologized to us. Finally we found out they were trying to move both of us to the 8th floor but no one ever communicated that to us after we asked what was going on several times. We got it shortly after my mom finally stood up for us and after 4 and a half hours of waiting. We saw lots of other people staying at the hotel have similar issues, where they had to wait long times for a room that was already booked months in advance. One group of people even had to leave the hotel to go make a report to the police, but I don’t know exactly what happened there. The hotel was definitely not what I would call luxurious, but it was nice enough for me. It seems that it has recently gone under new management, though and they clearly have no idea what they’re doing and know nothing about customer service or hospitality.
Very lovely hotel for my stay in London. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. Appreciated the fact that you had to use your hotel key to use the elevator in terms of safety. Theres also a metro station just down the street and a bus stop in front of the door, so the connection with the rest of London was great. The only things was that the windows in the room couldve used some cleaning.
Excellent location, well served by bus and trains.Stunning design indoors, nice staff.Wide range of amenities available in the room.Weak points:1left over food in the fridge (probably from previous guests)2cleaner got into the room even with the sign asking for privacy displayed outside the door3air conditioner extremely noisy in the room
Pretty good stay. Well located, just a short walk from Shepherds Bush market and tube station. The building is very modern on the inside and so was my room, which had everything I would have expected and was kept clean. The view from my room wasn’t good, but that’s me getting a little nit picky. Can’t comment on the breakfast this time, but the bar looked quite nice. Attention from staff was appropriate. They do offer baggage storage at no extra cost, which we made use of on the day of checkout.
Great room size. Very generous sized and comfortable beds. Close to everything and food choices are abundant. Definitely worth what we paid regardless of increased tariff due to the Bank holiday/Queens Jubilee Long weekend. Highly recommended.
Was an amazing stay! Room had everything we needed and the bed was so comfy! The shower was great and it is surrounded by all the shops you need. And is also a 5 minute walk from westfeild shopping center and about the same to the tube station!
Good location close to shops, underground, rail station, grocery, and restaurants. Staff was helpful and accommodating. Didnt eat their breakfast because we like to venture out but the dining area looked nice. Nice stay.
For me, loved the experience at this hotel. The staff were really helpful. Loved the breakfast, love location. The only thumbs down 👎🏾 are the small rooms. Would definitely stay here again. Neha at the reception was very helpful
We stayed in this hotel for a week, we really enjoyed it.Near underground station, beautiful district.Clean and comfortable room equipped with everything you need.I will never forget the breakfast room staff, all super nice, helpful and always with a smile.I hope they read this review.I also work in hotels and I know what it means to find people who are kind and offer a smile.Neat and clean environments. Thanks for everything Dorsett, we had a great time.Federica and Giacomo Lombardi room 165.
Our stay was short of spectacular. The staff were kind but it was unfortunate that the rooms did not have functioning air conditioning for our several night stay. We were given a fan to put in our room, but we were still unable to sleep in such a hot room. We really wanted to get some quality sleep but we simply could not. Another issue was how short the ceilings were in the bathroom. I was unable to use the rainfall shower head. Overall, I found the hotel to be decent but would not return because of how hot the hotel was.
